So, I just wanted to say I have been waiting for this one since I watched the trailer. but I don't know what I was high on that I remember it looking like a toxic and taboo romance lol which obviously yes please!

but I started watching and at first I didn't know what to think about the fact that it's a horror plot with hex curses and all. I mean look I love all that too, especially ffs Win looks sooo gorgeous! even more so than anything he's in before at for me personally. because damn the way he looked especially in the red coat and the other ensembles !

but okay this one is very much symbolic and everything is either a metaphor for mental health, or toxic relationships, or even fears that people who are different frequently have to suffer.

the bullying from people that turns the victim into a villain themselves, that's what the "curse" on Namsine basically stands for and I love that nuance. The whole part of 'Enigma' is done so well, I just love it.

even though like I said I wasn't sure at the start if I was going to like it but dude I was hooked by the end of ep 1!

I love gross grotesque stuff so that ending reveal blew my mind (θ‿θ) even though I pretty much said it out loud to myself that if it is him that would be BADASS and it was! lol
it was exactly as badass as I thought! I can't wait for the next season

So hard to even rate this . So much cringe ? but I also couldn't stop watching mostly because of Mac Nan. They're no Pete Vegas ? but they were my only entertainment after the rest of the show just turned out to be bland and way too cutesy.

I mean I was there to see some messed up shit and maybe some proper NC scenes between Day Itt but literally the whole plot involved Day trying to hate on Itt and regaining his memory.

Also, in the beginning Itt is the guy who everyone hates because he keeps acting entitled and keeps asking Day to do things for him and it feels like he's an asshole, but you know that's not what it felt like to me.

Basically he was definitely being manipulated by Day who admitted it! That he wants Itt to get so attached to him that he can never leave.

And then, spoiler alert, when the scene where Day beats the shit out of Itt and definitely rapes him, that was the implication right? it was really well done for sure.

it's just everyone on the show is just TRASH LOL

DAY: Manipulated and VIOLENTLY BEAT UP HIS SO CALLED BF.

ITT : Didn't do shit for Mac even when the poor guy was begging for his help.
Was pretty much involved in letting his friend Gear roofie or whatever it was actually unclear to me, and have definitely nonconsensual sex with Night , Day's actual blood brother.

Mac: Tried to rape Itt.

Nan : Forced Mac to be his human slave.

and this is basically all the main characters!

but hot damn that last episode, Non looked fine af! Everyone actually looked really good in the finale but there were still no actual details about what Gear did to Day's brother Night or why they're even together after he clearly must have done something bad to him for sure.

Rating 6 and not lower because I guess I just needed some mindless cringe and I was mostly just hate watching at first.

But whatever, just going to rate a little bit higher for Mac and Nan, the couple who don't even know what the word 'red flag' means and are definitely color blind like me. and actually pretty much everyone is, but that part is fine lol I just wished it was a little more ... less bland and cute.

like something so DARK would happen and you'd expect it to get darker and get somewhere , but then some damn boring af cute scenes between Day Itt. which frankly, were just SO BAD.

Like I love when BL shows do cute right.

like Gene Sib, or Sky Prapai, or Leo Fiat. Even Cutie pie has some great cute scenes that are adorable ! But they were just not good at all at it.

so it's not a cutesy romance and it's not a full on KP level MESSED UP either. it's just kinda meh . and that one villain ffs he was literally even more garbage than anyone else.

I love Santa so much! so I'm definitely not unhappy I watched it but this one is I guess not to my taste.

You know I love Earth too, especially in UWMA and I m following them as a couple on it IG and watching them all the time but this series itself is severely lacking.

I mean I can handle a little bit of cringe lol but showing a grown man act like a teenager, namely Earth in Eiw's role is just cringe on another level as his completely uninteresting character.

I just don't like the whole anti smoking bs either.
it becomes too much.

The thing is putting Earth in this role was just a bad idea. It's not that his acting was bad, but the direction and writing was not great and just didn't make an impact on me apart from a few scenes.

I don't know what it is about Mame's couples that makes them extremely shippable! Especially Mew Gulf and Ja First, I can't get enough of them!

Love In The Air was no exception, but while I really enjoyed Payu Rains story I basically fell in love with Sky Prapai!

I mean everyone from Noulle to Boss is attractive, but I don't know what it is about Peat Fort that I have literally watching them everywhere lol and just shipping them bad!

their story made more of an impact on me obviously, cause I love angsty, emotional red flag couples like Vegas Pete, Tharn Type, and Leo Fiat :')

buuut tbh Prapai is basically a less insecure Leo, and Lei Fiat have some toxicness to them like Tharn Type that makes it even more shippable for me lol but for once I guess Im more into how wholesome Sky Prapai's relationship is! and despite their conflicts they always find their way to each other. Also the intimate scenes are just hot and a little depraved which I love.

So yes, all in all, it's not perfect by any chance, writing wise or direction wise but still the couples made an impact on me. stood out from the rest.
And that finale was really something!

Okay so Tol and Tin are now on my top couples list lol

Ah so the storyline and writing in general was so good but you know me, I'm a sucker for angst and bishounen/ikemen torture aka whump ;) and obviously this show was in the first half about a ten and then in the end there was angst and torture back personally felt like it was less tame that's one reason Im not rating 10.

The second reason I'm not rating 10 like I did for Manner of Death (Max and Tul OBVIOUSLY) But seriously though I felt like MOD has a much more satisfying ending.

Also I was basically screaming at the Tan Bun cameo and then that ending made me feel like there's more spin offs in the future and I'm all for it.

But seriously MOD had that ending which was all " Tengan me bro " lol as compared to the kiss by the watch building and also I mean you can't beat Max Tul skin ship I'm not even going to pretend like I didn't die when Tan handcuffed Bun to the stairs ffs lol

Anyway... Back to Triage - it's a damn good bl though and even the secondary couple was so adorable!! Just like in MOD where basically it feels like Tan Bun have adopted two kids lmfao but here tbh they never actually got down to doing anything actual, but still they were such a cute ass bickering couple!

Anyway that concludes my review! Watch it you guys!

Spoiler alert

A damn good and addictive horror watch. Totally bingeable!

But that last episode just really pissed me off. Not just the last episode but in general there were some parts of the drama that were way too preachy.

I mean if you want to write an ENTIRE GODDAMN EPISODE showing Zee raping a girl, go ahead, it's your artistic right to show the darkness of something that heinous.

But then don't put a 'rape is wrong by the way you guys' and you keep hammering it then your writing just loses its integrity. If you don't make the underlying message subtle you'll ruin any power your script has.

First for the rape preachiness and then they did the same to the revenge plot! The last episode was basically just Lilly realizing revenge is wrong lol omg no way???! Really???? Rape is wrong????? And revenge is also wrong???? OMG I had no idea!! Ffs that's what it felt like when people get so goddamn condescending and preachy with their scripts.

So, as I've mentioned before the writing was a little weak at times. With all that gore, all the fantastic casting, and production values that felt like such a waste.

That said, I just like how to the end Zee didn't apologize to Lilly and Sonar - (side rant btw: showing Zee rape Lilly would have been enough! But they had to make him to the same to freaking Sonar! The very same night!!! Which MADE ZERO SENSE because did Sonar lack empathy this much that she could only understand Lilly if Bew raped her too?? - end of side rant) - his character was actually pretty consistent which I liked. He was toxic but in his own messed up way he did care about Lyla. But most of all his epic kind of love for someone like Nest was honestly heartbreaking. It was like he closed his heart to love when Nest refused him and then that clip was released which made his life hell just as much and provoked his asshole father to yet another cruel beating - but even when he finally found out it was Nest who did it, he didn't resent her for one second. And still wouldn't stop loving her and actually apologized to HER!

And now for the parts of the story that totally worked for me:

- Tommy and Jimmy playing Ken and Plato. They were literally my favorite! That kiss in the basketball court was just so so so wholesome! And poor Plato ! He deserved better! I just loved them together and just generally their arc was so well written! Except for the inconsistent way Ken behaves in the finale - like he was going nuts over Plato dying one second and then he was all caring for Gel????? They even died in each other's arms ffs WTAF !

- Zee(New) literally BASHING DAN'S SKULL IN. Seriously that scene messed me up. The way he reacts to it, like he's in a trance - it's obvious he loved Dan but the way that island basically turns everyone savage and makes them do this, his decent into hell was just so satisfying to watch lol as a horror/gore enthusiast. I mean he kept saying to Dan he didn't kill Mac, but in the end I think the turning from the person who he thought was his best friend, was the proverbial last nail in the coffin.

Another important thing about this drama is that literally NO ONE IS INNOCENT or redeemable even . Except for maybe Plato. Yes, actually he was the MOST INNOCENT out of them and even he cheated on the girl he was with Fone, and went along with it when Ken was cheating on Gel with him.

And Ken, who was basically acting like a good guy, basically never once tried to stand up for his true love aka Plato and in fact forced Plato to not listen to his conscience just because he was afraid Bew (Zee) would out them. Then kept up the facade of a hetero relationship only to end up cheating on her again.

Mild who, btw again the least worst lol still shot a video of Lyla and Zee because she resented the way Lyla's parents influence won against her own hard work.

Gel was just such a bad person in general, cyber bullying Lyla and bullying her in other ways with Fone. But honestly I still feel bad for Fone and felt not a thing for Gel because at least poor Fone was loyal to Gel. And the way Gel rejected her love and abandoned her but in the end acts like it's bothering her just wasn't convincing and felt like a ploy to survive when Ken goes berserk and tries to kill her.

Mac was again, the kind of protagonist you feel bad for but even Mac was kinda exploiting Nest knowing she loves him and so he was still pretty much carrying a torch for Layla and being used by her he himself feels a little immature and careless with emotions.

Bozo is honestly a forgettable character for the most part and I think that was intentional. He's the kind of person who became Zee's henchman the second he saw that would benefit him (and Mild). But I feel like what he feels for Mild is more familiarity than love which is apparent by the line Mild says "don't try to make me fall in love with you" and honestly he not only chickened out when trying to help Lilly and Sonar against Bew but throughout the story he was basically just following on other people's whims without any actual drive or responsibility.

Lyla is probably the worst and most manipulative victim mentality antagonist. Not only did she feel nothing for her sister, she was dishonest about her feelings to both Mac and Bew. She never tried to stand up to her parents for her sister. When she found out Lily got raped her only sentiment was gleeful satisfaction. She was the one who's told Bew not to apologize to Lilly and kept saying that Lily and Sonar deserved it! WTH! Probably the reason I felt instant gratification when Lilly pushed her into the water lol

Lilly and Sonar of course, I mean they were actually convincing and entertaining as the bad guys. But in the end, showing Nest surviving - I honestly don't know what the hell that was supposed to signify! I was just clueless when it happened. It's not because I was judging Nest in anyway, she had severe mental health issues especially Munchausen's syndrome and her bitch mother basically swept the incident under the rug and made her keep living as an invalid. So I get where she's coming from. She has no academic excellence, like Lyla, no talents - all she has is a disability that makes her 'special' even though if she'd only given Bew a chance instead of sticking in some ridiculous unhappy relationship with Mac, she would have found out that Mac wasn't the only one who didn't resent her for faking but Bew was like that too.

But despite the majority of the characters being irredeemable, somehow there was a time in their arcs where you did not only feel empathy for them but even sad.

Regardless it's a good horror show with lots of awesome gore and a entertaining storyline with some good direction and eye candy!

So first off there's just something about the background music that was kinda creepy I don't know why! It was just a little weird I guess.

So here's the low down, the main actor playing Kano was a little disappointing. That's the main reason for this not being a ten rating.

But there was something about the movie that felt very artistic and that's the part I loved. Gratefully pretty much everyone else was acting well, especially felt bad for Tojiro! But let's face it, all the sex with Kano was borderline non con or at least dub con.

It just felt like Kano let those men take advantage of him, even though he was so much more powerful than any of them ! But that's the thing I kinda loved about this story, it felt like despite being one of the best swordsmen in the school, Kano was mentally submissive - but I feel like that's also what causes his darkness.

I mean the guy basically admits that the only reason he joined the samurais was so he could kill. That means he had that darkness inside him all along, which he kept hidden underneath his beauty. I mean ffs poor Tojiro was clearly in love with him even when he finds out that Kano screwed him over, and pinned the murder on him, the second Kano said 'im sorry' he basically fell for it again and that's how Kano was able to kill him.

But then in the end, I feel like the Samurai who was telling the Captain the story of the two men, basically despite saying he was a homophobe, it was obvious he was also pretty much struggling with his own sexuality.

But what happened to Kano , they didn't show anything and it happens off screen but it's still impactful because basically Kano let the darkness take over and it drowned him too in the end.

I feel like it's also about the fact that giving anyone the power to kill is wrong because no matter how many Samurai codes you have, in the end, a person can still fool everyone and use the power of death to destroy.

And it's not really mentioned but it's obvious that Kano's story must have started from sexual abuse which turned him cold and murderous. It was like he couldn't believe that anyone could truly love him. And then he knew he was powerless to the men who were trying to get him in bed, so he wouldn't refuse them but ended up killing them after.

As for the sex scenes, they're pretty tame, but still serve the purpose to show us more about Kano and the other men.

Personally I also feel like because of whatever happened to him in the past, Kano was actually unable to feel love for anyone but kept saying things like 'i like you ' and literally even flirting with that one guy who the Captain appoints to take him to the Geisha place but Kano ends up not doing anything with the woman and instead acting like he wanted to sleep with that guy. Even though it eventually turns out that Kano doesn't have feelings for anyone, but uses these tricks to basically lure them to their deaths.

The most overrated piece of garbage.

I mean none of the characters are anything to link or relatable and the acting is literally just the worst.

I'm sure these actors must have gotten better now but this is just like the worst thing acting wise which is why whatever skin ship there was and I feel like people are liking it merely because it's Korean and with gay characters. I mean some people have acted in it who are popular now so people think this is good I guess I don't know.

Personally, just watch the Lee Joon gi movie, The King and the Clown, that one is just perfect!!! Ten star rating perfect.

Reviewing because I personally don't agree with the really bad reviews, but hey everyone is different so it's fine but I just wanted to give my own thoughts.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

First off, yes the direction is not perfect, nor the writing but I feel like I was still into it, and watched without getting bored.

A mermaid named Yixia gets saved by this guy who's a minister Yuanshan and married into the royal family and then things happen and Yuanshan falls for the mermaid pretty hard and cheats on his wife.

But there's a Dragon, a monster chasing the mermaid and trying to kill him but Yuanshan saves him again, but his wife ends up dying.

And so Yuanshan ends up abandoning Yixia, because there are other things happening in the background.

He's basically the person who becomes the guy who will be next on the throne because the current Prince is just so bad, doing all kinds of dumb things like hiring the same monster Dragon as his confidant.

But when Yuanshan abandons Yixia who is immortal by the way, he's hurt but comes back to face Yuanshan after three years.

By then things have severely escalated.

And when Yixia learns that despite abandoning him, Yuanshan actually does love him, he becomes emotional again and says he's going to protect Yuanshan with his life and we literally see Yixia go inside Yuanshan (no pun intended lol) and then we find out that Yuanshan now basically has the mermaids power and he has the mermaids jade silk in his hand as he lays on the bloody ground.

MAJOR ENDING SPOILER

Okay now for the controversial ending.

When I first saw someone say 'cut' and 'Yuanshan' takes off his wig and we see the historical movie set and the others actors etc are all interacting but Yuanshan just takes his food and goes to sit to one side like a loner.

Ngl I did feel cheated at first because I was like wth is this meta shit lol

Buuut hear me out.

I thought this for maybe two seconds till 'Yuanshan' or the actor playing Yuanshan still carrying the Jade silk in his hand, goes towards the ancient building which is where the movie was being shot, and he's going there as if in a daze and then we see all the love making scenes again, the one in the bathroom and in bed with the red sheets as though Yuanshan is remembering it and then finally we see him getting a little emotional, and then he just stands at this one point and gets tears in his eyes, until we see someone put their hand on Yuanshans shoulder - and then it's revealed that that person who was carrying a camera, was none other than Yixia.

Well, here's my interpretation.

Because of the Mermaid's powers, Yuanshan is now immortal like Yixia, and it wasn't an actor but the same Yuanshan and those scenes were his own memories from all those years ago.

Clearly Yixia also survived somehow, or maybe it was just his desire, to see Yixia, I don't know, but personally I feel like they're showing that their love basically transcends the boundaries of time and life.

So you tell me how it's not at least a little poetic?

Like I said the execution may not be great but for one things there's skin ship in this one that is just so good! Like full on proper Thai BLs level skin ship! You should at least give it a way h for this alone xD

So MIAO RONG GETS TO GO SCOT FREE AFTER ALL THE SHIT SHE PUT EVERYONE THROUGH AFTER CAUSING SO MUCH DAMAGE AND GETS AN HEA BUT ZHAO XIAO GETS PUNISHED?

See, it wouldn't have been a problem for me if they let her off because they wanted to show that evil people get away with things or something, but dude everyone else got punished but her!

The woman made The Princess's life hell, and was THE MAIN REASON A FIVE YEAR OLD BOY DIED OF FOOD POISONING, she was almost going to get Li Qian's sister get married to an evil person with several concubines, And even Li Qian was like no biggie, let's just put someone else in prison because she's a GIRL. I don't even know what level of stupidity this is. And why of all the people, Li Qian let her off! So much of what she did also directly ended up hurting him too!

And seriously Qing Tan was the only villain who was actually entertaining.

So yes, her character and Zhao Xiao's characters PETTINESS was the most frustrating thing for me. Like they wouldn't fucking DIE

And in general the writing is not that great, which is the main issue here. If they didn't have the budget to show the serious stuff in shows like Novoland and Long Ballad, they should have just made this a sweet romance and just focused on the couples which I really liked them all.

The problem for me at least, was the really petty squabbles being the main focus and poor Joseph didn't even get enough screen time toward the second half when literally him and Jing Yi were the reason I kept watching till the end.

And okay now that the rant is over lol I'll tell why I'm still rating it 7 and not lower.

So let's face it, Joseph Zeng gets a lot of criticism over his acting and I agree, before Ultimate Note, I understand the criticism, but seriously I saw him in Ultimate Note and the improvement in his acting made me fall in love with his version of Wu Xie and now after Zhu YiLong's Wu Xie his is my favorite version! That's how good he was especially after a few episodes.

But in this drama, HONEST TO GOD, the kind of CONFIDENCE and PASSION with which he was acting, made me so happy! Our baby's grown up now :') so yes, I'm literally just going to mention that. But his passion and dedication was wasted on the telenovela like storylines and general weakness of the writing. And my favorite moments were definitely the couples moments, but also when he gets tortured and hurt, ffs he broke my heart in those scenes much like he did in Ultimate.

So, that's all I have to say about this one. I just think you should watch it, if you like the actors.

Okay first off SPOILERS AHEAD

Taecyeon - HOLY SHIT.

I mean I've never seen him like this, I just love me a hot psychopath and this guy is a total snack obviously soooo honestly I can't rate lower.

But let me tell you why I was frustrated despite enjoying it too.

It's basically the kind of show where serious stuff happens but then they make a joke so it ends up becoming an entertaining one which is what it should have been because the finale was absolutely one of the worst I've seen for such a drama.

It was all over the place, Taecyeon killed his brother and I felt sad but the way it was shot even, if you shoot two people and make Vincenzo try to save them, it was just cringe the way that and the preceding 'torture' was executed.

It was supposed to be edgy and dark, and it ends up being cringe or pretentious.

Now, I'm not the type to hate operas, Chinese or Italian, or whatever I love all that stuff so I had no problem with those parts. The problem was the way they handled the darkness. He's Psychometric has a way better story that keeps you guessing and the two brothers actually love each other so the eventual unlocking of the mystery makes you cry for them both. Even though Psychometric didn't handle the end with the brothers to my liking at least you see them struggling with their demons and loving each other. Psychometric despite it's faults actually has some good writing.

This is why I find Devil Judge so amazing because its not just solid direction but a fantastic script that has nuance.

That's what Sam and Dean do, you get so emotionally invested. The Lost Tomb has enough Bromance that becomes your favorite even if one person is a abusive.

The thing is either make it Stockholm syndrome or do something that makes them being brothers have a point - But there was nothing in this story. They could have been strangers and nothing would change.

The script was so basic. Another problem because just trying to look edgy is fine if you have solid writing. This one aaah it's all just a bunch of random, convenient stuff happening. Case in point - once Vincenzo was saved by .. wait for it ... A BUNCH OF FREAKING BIRDS. that's how random and convenient the stuff that happened was bro xd

But nothing disappointed me more than that brothers story because they didn't act like siblings and for 20 eps there was barely any explanation for them, barely a past established, you had no idea why either of them was behaving the way they did.

So honest I didn't hate or dislike the characters as much as I found them nothing special. Because like so much convenient stuff was going on, like a guy as RUTHLESS AND CUNNING as Taecyeon and all the prosecutors and officials, just how did they SO EASILY get duped AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN by taking place of their security detail and doing Carrie style blood throwing on the villain - Taecyeon lol

Seriously it started to get hilarious XD

But despite that Taecyeon every time he was on screen I was basically swooooning a hot badass villain ffs for this and for giving me a new ship I'll be grateful ;)

Ohh and also Kim Yeo Jin her character had depth mostly because of how she played it, Choi Myung hee being so loyal to Taecyeon right down to the end made me feel a little better at least, especially when he was dancing with her that was just so WHOLESOME

Song Joongki was Fine. Jeon Yeo Been was fine. Kwak Dong Yeon was fine, Jo Han Chul played a character I've seen him play several times so it was just fine too. But like I said apart from the first episode, the 'clever' ideas just became too strange and unrealistic. The torture scene in the finale was the most disappointing! Taecyeon supposedly had no humanity and so his attitude with his brother would make sense, he's killed people for less, but then CLEARLY forms a motherly bond with Choi Myung hee and stays loyal and faithful, those things are the exact opposite of each other. But like I said the script is so basic, there's no research, nothing. That's why that last torture scene doesn't make sense either because Taecyeon showed no emotions other than excitement and malice even when Vincenzo was holding a gun to his head, meaning his emotions must be off right, but then in the end he was all crying and begging HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE. If instead of Googling a listicle with cool European ancient torture techniques (we've all done it lol) they should have worried about keeping the character of AT LEAST the main villain consistent like the first season of Voice with Kim Jaewook and Janghyuk, it would have been a much more promising story.

But okay, credit where its due - that finale scene where Song Joongki leaves Taecyeon to rot like I said the execution of the torture could have been done better but the scene where the crow comes to sit on Taecyeon and there's a sun flare - that got to me.

But you can't really make an impact with a scene like this if people are just going to go back to acting like they're in a Mafia rom com.

The action isn't bad either, its entertaining like I said just don't expect much and some bits get draggy and repetitive.

That ending was really poetic. I loved the show it's got one of the most interesting anti hero fl and I just fell for Ploy so hard ! She can act, she's just beautiful a total charmer.

SHE ROCKED THOSE PANTSUITS but also portraying a desperate, shallow, ballsy woman just so convincing.

And omg in that last scene in the wedding dress she looked so breathtaking it just broke me.

It would have been an easy 10 as far as lakorn/makjang goes, but where it failed for me personally - I'm sorry but the male lead just didn't work for me. The guy couldn't act, couldn't even show a good personality ffs it pissed me off every time he was on screen.

They HAD LANG SITTHA in the cast bro should have just given him this role cause the doctor / psychiatrist was the main male lead, but like I don't know was Lang gonna charge too much or there was a casting couch because why else would you take him in the leading role.

Basically Lang's character was so random, so pointless to the story, and yet because the doctor guy was such a disappointment I desperately waited for Reya and Paramet first, btw you could have taken that guy for this role! Nut was a good actor, and handsome!

Ugh the guy who played David wasn't great either but the thing is his role wasn't integral enough to be an issue so that didn't bug me much.

But honestly even without the male leads, the story was good and meaningful.

It was bugging me when I felt like the writers were judging her character just like the other characters calling her tramp, whore, just because she's not a virgin but the ending I feel like it was basically showing how awful people are to women who stand different and how this creates a cycle of grief and violence.

But man letting that old wench Chinese mom lol sorry I'm still a little pissed at her because not only does she survive but the people around her were like oh sure mom tried to ruin lives and covered heinous acts but she's family so whatreyou gonna do right?

And then there were also a ton of problems with the doctor guy ugh but anyway it's still something good if you like makjang melodrama lakorn and anti hero stories.

Honestly the ending was just one of the most satisfying for this type of drama.

The whole point of the story wasn't just about schizophrenia or multiple identity disorder so I didn't mind that the science and research were a little dated. The point of the story - and its rather depressing and nihilistic - that people make it impossible to live without using violence. The psychiatrist guy villain, was basically everything in life that forces you to question your faith, hope, love and even devotion.

But while he had to use his other violent self, the protagonist eating an 'apple' only when the dark self comes up, like being kicked out of heaven wouldn't be so bad so long as the apple is tasty - where the Apple is symbolic of desire, anger, evil.

People are saying the ending was ambiguous but it really wasn't, like Strangers in Hell there was no ambivalence about the other self taking over.

Even the mysteries they were solving were very well constructed and fresh .

What got to me the worst prob was Sharp's death. I don't know what it was but there was a devastating sadness in the way it happened.

But why not 10 rating?

Tbh I've said this before, the three characters Li Jia, Chacha, Cheng had great chemistry, ah that scene in the forest where Cheng goes missing and the other two go looking for him, I've not wanted three people to not break up this much since 3 will be free. Like the way all of them kept assuming the other person was in love with one of them, it was just so cute! And holy gay fujoshi Lord that scene where Joseph and Cheng get tazed and tortured by the necro lunatic in the morgue lol just watch it okay , you're welcome XD

But I was soooooo disappointed when they ended up making it a typical het love in the second half I was so frustrated.

And also I feel like the ending and the subject matter deserved less cutesy het love, just my opinion.

Other than that I loved it

I was crying so much when it ended!

Seriously Joseph did a fantastic job playing Wu Xie, one of my absolute FAVE ULT CHARACTERS and that's why the ending was so devastatingly beautiful and intense cause you know in your heart you're basically breaking up with the cast ㅜㅜ

And boy did he look SMOKING HOT in those shirts every time he took off his coats and sweaters, bruh those forearms, and just the way he's built he's FIT.

And okay I ASSURE YOU despite that Wuxie Ning story line THIS ONE IS SO MUCH GAYER LOL THAN OTHERS and I loved every second ^^

But okay now for my second favorite character, which used to be Fatty or Qi Ling - BLACK. I was HOOKED when Baron Chen played it in Providence and this time Liu Yu Nang aka Hou Du from long ballad played it so well! In fact both Liu Yu Nang and Yu Han as Xiao Han (Yu Chen) their bromance was just as epic as Xie - Qi Ling.

In fact, if I'm being completely honest I MIGHT HAVE DONE SOME WUXIE - XIAO HAN SHIPPING you know when they were solving the riddles together and getting angsty and hurt ㅜㅜ like that whole 'neither of our lovers are here tonight' vibe they had

And omg fatty and his mpreg jokes about Wu Xie doesn't he know he's just giving us ideas lol like that wouldn't even be Fatty's baby ffs okay I'll stop

Seriously well written script and the ending was so much more like a proper ending even though Xu Kennedy don't do proper resolution of arcs so by now I'm used to it, you know take it or leave it

Xu Kennedy loves leaving us stranded even his main 'bromance' is one naive sweet boy and a super hot ghoster ffs and Black is basically Qi Ling with one liners lol let's face it he ghosts the characters just as much.

So, after every season I have to break up with the cast and its brutal and this time it was no different! And I hated it.

Will for sure re watch again soon!

Zhan got his heart broken so he wanted to watch the world burn.

>>>>>>>>>{{ SPOILERS }}<<<<<<<<<

I M SPEECH LESS.

literally started cause I wanted something light after Long Ballad
WHAT A BAD MOVE
BECAUSE THIS PAIN IS SO MUCH .. WORSE. PERSONAL.

I can't explain it, you just have to watch it.

Tbh the story is much better from the beginning from most bromances like Sci and My Roommate is a detective, I like them but SCI is majority lacking in a coherent story, and Detectives Bromance is good but I just the stories of crime solving is can get repetitive at times.

But Untamed is just perfection when it comes to a proper, coherent story and Guardian despite it's faults the Bromance, the chemistry is just epic.

I'm not even going to talk about stuff like advance bravely or beloved enemy they're just okay and Beloved Enemy feels like they're trying to say falling for a man ain't shit just go fuck a chick. They literally make you feel that way so let's just drop it.

But as I was watching KAH I felt a lot of things were just not paid attention to, especially the way people seem to die and no one cares in the next scenes or quite simply forgetting a character or story line but those were minor issues because this story is just so addictive and entertaining!

And despite it's faults it was growing on me, much like the two couples - Dr Chen and Jiang Yueleo and Zhan and Yu.

And here's the thing and maybe it's just me, I NEVER STOPPED SHIPPING ZHAN YU. It's true. You can hate me for it, but okay I'm noticing so many people in the comments section and otherwise are hating on Zhan but not Jiang lol

Here's the thing

Jiang HIT DR CHEN ON THE HEAD AND KIDNAPPED HIM when he refused to leave Hongkong.

He let him get so badly involved in their world Chen was imprisoned and tortured.

Jiang PRACTICALLY BEAT CHEN TO DEATH

JIANG ACTUALLY SHOT HIM. IN THE CHEST.

In comparison this is what Zhan did to Yu

Took care of him when he saved his life and pretty much had him living in the mansion

When his uncle was about to kill Yu Zhan saved him and chained him up in the mansion. But just like Jiang beat Chen and SHOT HIM Zhan VERY OBVIOUSLY did this so his uncle and insidious servants would think Zhan doesn't love Yu.

And okay CONSTANTLY there were references to the king and the concubine, THERE'S NO STRAIGHT EXPLANATION FOR THAT and Yu said those things because he was hurt because he DID SAVE Zhan.

And I don't want to get into the ending too much but I'll just say this - that ending made it go from a 7 or 8 show to a 10 rating.

I see so many Chinese bromance aka BL ending bittersweet, and I don't like it. Untamed as much as I loved THE CHARACTER AND STORY AND WRITING JUST PHENOMENAL - But wtf was that ending because it was so anticlimactic. WORSE than a high five lol

This whole I'll choose duty over love bs is just propaganda right but Guardian DID IT SO WELL.

Because when Shen Wei goes off with Ye Zun you get sad but when you see that scene where Shen Wei is saying to Yun Lan that he waited for him for 10,000 years, THAT'S WHAT GETS IMPRINTED ON YOUR MIND. And not the fact that these two also - well Shen Wei anyway - chooses duty over love. Because the sincerity in the two men, their entire body language, and even if they're not 'together' you don't feel cheated.

That's how I felt when I was watching KAH s ending.

Heartbroken but also relieved because the love they had for each other was BEYOND EVERYTHING.

BEYOND LIFE AND DEATH.

And so you know they're SOULMATES.

That all it needs is one resurrection, or one heaven, and they'll be together then, same as Guardian.

But, okay poor Zhan.

My heart.

Like okay when he shoots Chen and says to Jiang 'we both lost!'

And then Jiang shoots Zhan and he also dies and the same rosary that Yu carried he was now holding in his hand and the beads fall everywhere.

How POETIC was that like I CAN'T GET OVER IT.

everyone judging Zhan but look at the asshole who raised him.

The ONE person he was in love with couldn't even be saved.

I'm just devastated at all this loss only because Yu wanted to protect his dignity and kept everyone at arm's length because he hated the idea of being weak and sick and helpless. He should have trusted Zhan more because he was clearly willing to do everything in his power for him. I mean for all Zhans talk about power the guy died just as helpless HOLDING YU'S ROSARY BEADS. He died taking revenge because in his mind Jiang caused all his loss especially Yu because Zhan couldn't protect Yu because of everything happening with his uncle and the opium business. To him Jiang was the reason his attention was divided and he was forced to keep Yu chained up and then the way Yu basically became his ememy and blew himself up to destroy his uncle's plans.

But if Zhan was that enamoured with power he wouldn't have done what he did, instead he would have restarted the opium business and done his usual crimes instead of going on what was rather obviously a suicide mission.

Remember when Yu was holding the trigger and says then let's get blown up and die together ffs that's basically what Zhan did in the end. He didn't want power. He wanted Yu but no one cared.
