++++++ POSITIVES +++++
+ The characters are very well developed and they all have their own story that the writers are kind enough to share with us.

+ The actors were all really talented and made their characters feel very realistic and believable. They also did a splendid job with the chemistry. Even if there were few love scenes, they were sending me all the right signals to make a romance possible.

+ The story as a whole is very interesting and keeps you at the edge of your seat. The way everything comes together, case by case was a very nice build up to the final boss.

+ The sound track is perfect and all the songs will be on your "To download" list.

------ NEGATIVES ------
- They were repeating scenes over and over even though the scenes were not important and I didn't gain any information from watching it again with a few extended seconds. Fine if it's to remind the viewer of something but in this case it seemed to be to extend the episodes.

- The emphasis was on the drama and the action. I wish there was more case solving and that they kept more secrets. Because they were so out in the open with everything, the build up to the climax disappeared since the show was just one big climax in itself. They should have worked more with the dynamic of having calm, informative parts and then shock the viewer with something instead of mixing it all together. I got bored.

- The whole series felt like I was going around in circles. Some events would happen multiple times without contributing anything to the story. Instead it would just make the characters seem more incompetent and at last, it was hard to take everything seriously because the likeliness of it happening was reaching zero.

- Some lose ends were never tied and some motives where never found. The ending felt very lazy to me.

======= SUMMARY ======

So to sum it all up, the characters were well developed and the actors where excellent. The sound track gave the perfect feels for every scene and the chemistry was spot on. On the other hand, scenes where being unnecessarily reused often, without contributing anything to the story and I felt like the whole show was going around in circles. Events would happen multiple times which caused them to become less believable every time I saw them happen again. This made the entire story feel dragged, repetitive and longer than it needed to be. Not to mention that although the ending was daring and pretty good, it created a big plot hole and left us with some untied lose ends.

~~~~~~ RECOMMENDED ~~~~~~
If you like action with a story, a little bit of romance, vengeance, lies and deceit, this is the poop for you. You will see people getting shot, falling off buildings, a bit of blood, a few fighting scenes and a whole lot of kick ass. This is not a "solve it yourself" type of criminal series though. You will be hand held through out the entire show, with the answers given to you one by one as the episodes go on. You will encounter a few psychos without motives and quite a few murder attempts. If you want romantic skinship in loads, leave now. This show does not have the focus in that sort of place.
With that said...
... enjoy!!!
...Because he stole my imaginary golf ball...
This movie has a very soothing and calming feel to it even though it contains so many heart racing events. The two leads have no lines through out the entire film, but they really didn't need any with the amazing soundtrack and the wonderful acting. Their expressions really said it all.
For those who are watching because of the mature tag; The mature tag is there because of violence not because of sex.
Do not fear the violence though, they do not display it carelessly so even a softy like me could watch it without a problem. There will be some exposure to blood though so sensitive watchers have been warned.
I recommend this movie to people who enjoy the art of film. It has a very slow pace and as I said before, most of the scenes have no dialogue, therefore this type of motion picture might appear boring unless you find the beauty in it.
ENJOY!!
PLOT
The plot description of this drama hasn't been done justice on a lot of sites. It's actually a lot more interesting than they make it seem, so here is my version of it:
After getting a strange call about a game that would change the entire world of technology, The co-founder of an investment company, Yoo Jin Woo, travels to Granada, Spain in an attempt to meet the creator and buy the game before his rival and former best friend, Hyeong Seok gets to it.
Forced to stay at a run down guest house, in wait of the creator, Se Ju, Jin Woo plays the new game in an attempt to learn more about it. But as he levels up, things are changing for the worse and Se Ju still hasn't showed up.
REVIEW
The story was well built and stuck to it's logic until the end. I feel like they made this fictional world as realistic as they could while adding a dimension to it as they jump between time lines. Although you might feel like you've seen the same scene many times before, every time it's presented to you, a new clue has been added to it. So this is definitely not a lazy watch. It's a drama that deserves all your attention while watching it.
The theme of the drama is artistic and dark while carefully mixing in the charms of Spain and the lightness of supporting characters. There isn't too much blood being shown apart from the average amount that usually comes out of a body when you stab it, shoot it, or piece it but other than that, they kept it realistic.
There is a love story amongst all the fighting and backstabbing, that didn't steal too much focus from what this drama actually is about. I found the romance to be comfortable, well paced and cute in a way that isn't like a oily, cheesy pizza.
The characters where all memorable in their own way and they all had a reason for existing. The grandmother brings comfort and nostalgia to the audience of Koreans with grandmothers like her, in the nightmare like atmosphere.
The little sister is the embodiment of cupid as the main function of her dialogue is to get the romance going between the two main characters as she also lightens the mood.
The "adopted" best friend of the female lead is the logical side of things. He is there to act on the logic that most people would be thinking in the circumstances which balances out with the female lead who completely lives off of fairy dust.
I wish the female lead was less passive and actually had a chance to join in on the dangers of this game. Having a female character fight along side the male lead would have been so refreshing but sadly, she's mostly just crying or fueling the male leads ego while having a pretty bad Spanish accent. She did her best though.
The male lead is quite a cliché character with his hot temper and rude comments, carrying such a hard and cold facade, but the writers did give him a very humane and good side as well so I ended up falling for him at the end anyway.
Of course there are more characters in this drama, that I didn't mention, like:
The old man you would like to strangle with a shoe lace.
The fluffy, cute, innocent, man baby who doesn't get what he deserves.
The famous person who stirs the pot and so on...
So if you like games and the thought of games becoming a reality. Or you're a fan of crime and investigation, you might actually like this drama. Bringing you the feels and many reasons to cry, this might be one of the best dramas this year.
ENJOY!!!
This drama contains:
- Romance, comedy, frustration, misunderstandings, love triangles, evil exes, weird side characters, cute side plots, handsome boys, pretty girls, good acting, light watch.
- Not deep or dark, low chance of crying.
- An energetic and happy go lucky female lead who stands on the boarder of being really annoying or clumsily charming. A very charming and handsome second male lead who (as always), lacks flaws. A not so charming and always less handsome first male lead who lacks in a lot of ways.
- That really mean and annoying Ex girlfriend who ruins it for everyone and makes you frustrated.
- Romance starting off on the wrong foot and progressing through bicker fights. Romance starting off with a happy spark and progressing through nice encounters and cute moments. Impossible not to ship. Romance starting out from friendship.
- A lot of misunderstandings and situations that will make you frustrated and annoyed. Some moments should really not have been allowed to happen and some were just straight up stupid.
- The main story is a plot hole in itself which pulls down the rating quite a bit. Because the whole drama was rushed, few progressions are believable and it all seems like low budget script writing.
- A perfect build up to nothing, leading to one of the most disappointing endings I've ever seen.
- A really funny Korean SNL reference that you will only understand if you see their GTA parody.
- Nam Joo Hyuks Busan accent.
ENJOY!!
This drama has one of the most interesting and innovative plots, I've seen, surrounding the workers in the variety show department at KBS. From start to end, it was entertaining, relatable, funny and real.
Content
- The entertainment industries dark side.
- The tough life of idols and staff members.
- The making of entertainment.
- Inspiring life lessons and point of views on love.
- Amazing acting.
- Funny, touching and memorable scenes.
If you enjoy watching dramas, idols or reality shows, I recommend that you watch this. It may not be 100% realistic but it does bring a lot of things to light in a very funny but at the same time serious and informative way. With some extra drama it was entertaining until the last episode and leaves room for a lot of different ships.
ENJOY!!
+ Considering that this is supposed to have a light feeling of weirdness to it and was made to have loads of overreactions and anime like features, the acting was not that bad. I found the female actress quite charming in the was she was handling her role and I completely fell in love with her cuteness and her voice.
+ The chemistry is pretty good between the characters and their backgrounds were clear enough to grasp fast.
+ Some scenes were very beautiful
+ It has a nice comedic touch to it but at the same time it gets you involved enough to sympathize with the characters.
+ The sound track fit the movie well and nothing stood out too much to make it uncomfortable.
---------- NEGATIVES ----------
- Only the two main characters felt like real characters because of their past. I wish they would have gone in deeper into the conflicts and such but since this is a light hearted movie, I guess they went as deep as they could.
- The characters didn't really have a stable development. It all felt pretty rushed and sometimes illogical. For a two hour film, they could have made a more stable development in both personalities and relationships, at a more comfortable pace.
- Some of the shots were very beautiful because the sun was included but I have to admit... there was too much sun included. The shot seemed so washed out and you could barely see what was happening on the screen.
====== SUMMARY =======
So although the acting isn't what you would call "high-class" it was pretty good. The characters were charming and they had very nice chemistry together. Although this is a lighthearted movie, the writers made sure to include some heart breaking moments from the characters past and let it play out in a way that let the viewer sympathize with the character. The character development could have been better and could have been presented at a more comfortable pace considering how long this movie is, I feel like they had plenty of time.
~~~~~~ RECOMMENDED TO ~~~~~~~
I recommend this to people who like light hearted, slightly childish, romantic but yet careful movies. It has kind of an anime like twist on it with exaggerated reactions here and there, slightly reminds you of a Disney movie and even includes one musical number. That is just in the beginning though. As we walk deeper into the story it takes a more serious turn on a lighter level. If you're afraid of crying or being heart broken, don't fret, this will not cause you any pain. It's a feel good love story that might brighten your day.

If I were to take into consideration that this is a promotional drama for A-JAX then I would say it's better than most idol promotional dramas. Usually they are cheesy and embarrassing but this one was cheesy and embarrassing with a small plot. However, I'm gonna review this as an average drama so you know if it's something you'd like to watch or not.

+ The actors did very well during kiss scenes

------ NEGATIVES ------
- Because this drama only has 6 episodes and each episode is 12 min long, the story is weak, it has a lot of plot holes and it has an awkward pace. They could have worked on it more but I guess the budget wasn't enough. I'd say this has the story development of Dora the explorer.

- Out of all the characters, only one has a past and a back story. It will not go into detail or make you feel sentimental. It's just there so that the male lead would seem more romantic.

- The actors are all very bad. I've seen some of them in other dramas where they do a much better job, so in this one, I will not give them any positive feedback on their acting. It was very awkward and uncomfortable to watch.

- This drama has ONE song on it's OST which only fits into the scenes where the characters are happy. So after watching an entire episode without a soundtrack, it really doesn't fit in when they suddenly play that song.

- The script was very awkward and didn't really make sense. Except for the dialogue being unnatural, the characters actions and the events that were happening were sometimes very random and lacked motive or logic.

- All the character relationships lacked chemistry. This is because of the fast pace of the drama. You don't get any information on how they met, they don't get any moments together that you can think back on to understand their relationship, and you never get a clear explanation of how they all go together. Suddenly they're just a couple. Or suddenly she didn't feel so alone and was happy. Sadly that was explained through words and never actually shown in the show which makes it hard to believe.

===== SUMMARY =====
I don't have anything good to say about this drama. The characters weren't developed and they were hollow. Only one of them had a backstory and it wasn't really that worked out. The dialogues were weird and so were the characters actions. The general pace was extremely speedy which made the show illogical and less believable. It doesn't reach out to it's audience on a emotional level and it has the story development of Dora the explorer. No details, no emotions, no development, no back stories, no relationships, no friendships, it was just a hollow series of events.

~~~~~ RECOMMENDED TO ~~~~~
If you are an A -JAX fan or think the boys are really pretty then watch it. If you like vampires on top of that then you're in luck. If you used to watch Dora the explorer in your youth or if you still watch it, this is your cheese right here!!
other wise, don't watch it. You will not be able to appreciate its simplicity ^^
+++++ POSITIVES +++++
+ The characters were spot on. The writers really captured the actions and looks of the original characters and I wouldn't have changed them one bit.
+ The actors were great. Most of the cast are really big names and they are big names for a reason. I feel like this sort of slap stick comedy fit all of them perfectly and they really managed to pull off their characters facial expressions and energy. It really felt like a real life anime.
+ The script is very close to the original with only a few original scenes added to it. A conservative Gintama fan would be proud.
+ The fighting scenes were really well made and looked great. Except for succeeding with the flow of the fight, they added effects that fit just right to give it the anime feel.
----- NEGATIVES -----
- The CG was really bad and the explosions looked like something out of a bad movie. Sometimes they made it work but for the most part they didn't. Because the whole theme of Gintama is a parody on.... pretty much everything... the bad effects are not a problem it's just that they might bother the eye a bit.
- The progress was a bit awkward if you look at the story as a whole. For those who haven't seen the anime, nothing really make sense and the precious values that they are trying to push throughout the movie kind of come across as forced or rushed. They really could have built it better.
===== SUMMARY =====
When it comes down to it, I can't really rate this movie on how much I liked it but rather on how well it lived up to it's anime origin. This live action was based on a very loud, energetic anime so obviously it will try to capture that same energy and I think they did a really good job. I felt like I was watching an anime with real people in it. This is thanks to the great actors and the wonderful writers who decided to stay true to the original work. Although the CG could have been better and the story was a little fuzzy, it has somewhat of a story line and because it's a parody, the CG was quickly forgiven.
~~~~~ RECOMMEND TO ~~~~~
I recommend this to people who like loud, self aware, shounen parodies with simple slapstick humor, sexual jokes and a lot of references to other anime, comics or the actors themselves. The plot is not the strongest, but it definitely brightens up ones day and lightens the mood. Prepare to laugh!

(I will be comparing to the anime since I didn't read the manga)

+++++POSITIVES+++++
+ The actors did an amazing job! I'm not a big fan of Kubota Masataka but he is one of the best actors to play mentally disturbed. The way he goes all out in acting completely insane, amazes me. Good work! All the other actors were very believable as well. They found the perfect cast for this LAA

+ The way they portrayed the whole setting gave a very uncomfortable and creepy atmosphere which I think is something the anime did well but the LAA did better. Although the anime has some light moments, this goes all out in making the viewer feel the darkness which automatically brands this into pure horror. Don't get me wrong, the constant horror atmosphere is not a bad thing because they did it well.

+ Making an anime arc into a movie is not easy but they did a good job. I feel like they captured all the necessary milestones while keeping everything relevant and then wrapping it up nicely, leaving room for a sequel but not necessarily needing one.

+ The props were great. The contacts and the gore looked very realistic and it didn't look proppy at all.

+ There's a car crash scene that looks super lit!

-----NEGATIVES-----
- Kubota Masataka delivered a great performance but over did it slightly. I miss the warmer part of Kaneki Ken which they didn't include in this movie. Even when he wasn't going completely mental, Masataka displayed Ken as a very disturbed person even before he turned into a ghoul which isn't how I remember him.

- The CG is not the best but it's not the worst. They really did their best on the special effects but I would lie if I said that they didn't bother me. It kind of brought down the quality a bit

- Another thing I felt brought down the quality was the fighting scenes. The sound effects were off and the actors didn't stage the hits properly so it all kind of looked a bit ridiculous. Stage fighting is not an easy task but with some proper editing, mistakes can be hidden. Instead, the producers tried to highlight the punches leading into an exposure of all the mistakes.

===== SUMMARY =====
Here we go...

A great live action adaption that captured all the necessities from the first season of the anime and kept it all unraveling smoothly. I didn't feel like they missed anything from the anime and the red thread was there throughout the entire film. The actors did a great job and the props and the gore were perfect. It made everything look realistic and definitely sent me into a horror frenesi. Although the writers only managed to capture the dark side of the story, they did an amazing job with the atmosphere making it into a great horror film. The CG and the fighting scenes needed some work but we can't have everything in this world, now can we?

~~~~~ RECOMMEND TO ~~~~~
I recommend this to people with strong stomachs who like dark, bloody horror with a plot. You will see some gory and disgusting visuals along with some really disturbing people eating people footage. Not to mention the creepy red eyed creatures lurking in the darkness and vomiting ghouls.
ENJOY!!
...Because "Summer dream"....
A very cliché and unoriginal movie but it was an okay watch. I think it would have been better if they had made it into a drama. That way they could have made it more original with some more depth and development. The characters were hallow and didn't really have a purpose or back story. No visible development in personalities or relationships even though it was necessary to make the story believable. All in all the watcher is basically just scraping off the surface.
As for the tags, I wouldn't press too much on the comedy part. It's not a sad movie or anything, it's just not funny.
I skipped the last 20 minutes of the movie because it was the climax and it had them play the title song for the movie AGAIN. Had they not played the same song for 1 h and 40 mins already, I would have watched it.
It's definitely a music movie but I think they should have extended the soundtrack a bit because as a viewer I got extremely bored of it extremely fast.
The acting was not bad. Although none of the characters had facial expressions it wasn't something that bothered me. For all the Jay Park fans out there, although he had a supporting role, he did a good job for someone who doesn't usually act.
I recommend this movie to people who want something a bit more serious but not too deep or emotional. If your feelings are easily moved then maybe this will be enough stimulation for you. If you're a fan of old school K- pop groups I think you wont get tired of the soundtrack and you might enjoy the show.
ENJOY!!
I love Ishihara Satomi and Yamashita Tomohisa so seeing a Romcom with these as leads were amazing.
This drama made me laugh a lot. Although it is based on a manga and I haven't read that manga, it was very entertaining to watch. I usually am an impatient person when it comes to romance dramas and around the end of it I get bored of the whole thing, but I didn't feel that way while watching this. That's why this one stands out a bit more than the rest of the romcoms I've watched.
I recommend it to romance lovers and happy people!
Abandoning logic to keep the plane from crashing when it's your only parachute
A fantasy, romance drama with a slight crime twist to it and some comedic elements.
This contains
- An awkward female lead with the ability to foresee the future in her dreams
- Your typical arrogant, handsome male lead who will be the boyfriend against all odds.
- A handsome, second male lead
- Your typical love triangle
- Potential murders, crimes and accidents
- Some blood, and graphic scenes. (On a light level)
- The unraveling of a past secret
- Interesting and creative plot twist.
- Refreshing comedy
- Hand holding investigations
Personally, I think the writers got a bit too excited in creating the origin of her powers. The story didn't really make sense to me and it was almost falling apart with plot holes.
I also think that the pace was awkward at times. Characters would have their personality or relationship change in a very sudden and uncomfortable way, which made everything feel a bit out of the blue and unrealistic. On top of that I found them a bit dull and hard to love. This could be a side affect from some of the actors not performing very well.
The pace was a bit too slow for my personal taste.
There were some major medical misses that should have gotten more attention.
RECOMMEND
If you tend to analyze dramas and movies, are easily bothered by production or writing mistakes, recognize good and bad acting, like to play sherlock while watching crime and have strong preferences, this is probably not for you.
instead I'd recommend this drama to those who want to spice up their every day comedy romance dramas or too those who started watching Korean dramas recently. This is because the drama introduces many tags without going in too deep on any of them. The romance, comedy, crime, law and graphics are all light and the plot is not too deep or difficult to like while it stays interesting and fresh to new viewers.
ENJOY!!
...because for some reason I could not binge it 100%...
If you're not sure about watching this drama, let me help you decide. WATCH IT. It will be worth your time.
Although there are not many plot twists, the writers did a good job in preventing it from getting too predictable or boring. It had just the right amount of comic relief to level out all the seriousness and if you're a hopeless romantic, you're going to love the fact that this drama is packed with couple cuteness.
If you're not a hopeless romantic, don't worry, neither am I and I was not that bothered by it since it gave more depth to the characters, which I feel, was a big plus, since non-stereotypical characters have been rare lately. I feel like the writers got creative and made some memorable favorites. Not to mention the amazing cast who did an incredible job in all the settings and scenes.
Yes, there is a triangle (I feel like there always is) but it does not cover much screen time and it wasn't the kind of triangle that makes the drama frustrating to watch. The girl doesn't pace back and forth between the boys. It's a very comfortable change from one love to the other.
I also want to warn you about the comedy. It's very loud and over the top so when you enter the world of Do Bong Soon, brace yourself. It is so worth it though because some scenes were adlibs that the producers decided to keep. Those are hilarious.
With all that said, I don't think I left any important details out....
.....ENJOY!!
...Because apparently women cant't do anything except get hit in the face...
This drama has a dark atmosphere and will make you feel frustration and helplessness. It's like screaming when no one's listening.
For the sensitive viewers:
It does not contain any grotesque scenes to be honest. The worst you will encounter is insanity. Other than that, sharp objects or other unpleasant things will be blurred out. (Of course, this is South Korean television were talking about. People are sent to the army but are not allowed to see sharp objects or dead animals... dead humans are fine though... )
I did not cry one single time!
The plus side:
The acting was very good. I think they all did a very good job. Considering how difficult the characters must have been to portray I think everyone did it perfectly.
It was well executed. The pace was comfortable and it was filmed in a very creepy way.
The minus side:
The women drove me a bit crazy. For some reason the after taste of this drama, tasted like WEAK WOMEN. I felt like all women in this drama were so fragile. Even a little push would break them. The men though, they were punching and kicking like animals...
I would have wanted some romance. The focus was in the right place but giving the audience one emotion for all 16 episodes is like chewing gum. It loses taste. I would have wanted the writers to fit in some physical contact between Sang Mi and Dong Cheol (Don't get me wrong. I mean a hug or something). If you watch this drama you will understand how much it would help. It wouldn't have to be a big deal. Just show a different kind of weakness. The one where you take a second to borrow strength, then recharge.
All in all, it was executed perfectly and it had a great story. I'm Just crabby cause I'm picky
This is the "forced into a cult with your family and being the only sane one, while society is too corrupt to save you" drama.
ENJOY!
This drama is basically about a charismatic, handsome guy who's belief in justice makes him fight or break stuff. Due to a misunderstanding between him, a shy, domestically abused rich guy and a smart, sweet looking, tough girl, the main character has decided to get his revenge on the other two, by being their pain in the butt.
This drama will surely make you irritated and annoyed in many ways. If the school, the system, the bullies or the teachers doesn't get to you, then the constant repetition of miscommunication and misunderstandings between the leads, might.
Of course this drama isn't all bad. It has some clever jokes and the secrets are pretty interesting. Sometimes it may break the reason of logic but as it is for the sake of some drama and compassion, some may let it slide (I couldn't let it slide).
I dropped this drama because I don't think it is of high quality to push the main characters good looks so much that all the other characters constantly talk about it. I think that the foundation on which the story is built was a bit below my expectations and I'm not a big fan of constant misunderstandings caused by pride and the annoying habit of hiding the truth.
I also feel like it doesn't stand out from it's genre and that it could have been executed better.
I came to this drama after watching "He is psychometric" and "Memories of the Alhambra" which both were 9/10. So coming from A list dramas to this might have affected my perception and caused an unfair comparison.
I recommend this drama to people who like romance and conflict as well as high school drama with some darker turns. It's not a bad drama, I just started watching it at a bad time. Maybe I'll come back to it later.
ENJOY!!
