Northward – A Drama that you will always remember . ♡ ⤹ ぃ ゚
All characters are the heart of this drama. Each one is written with such depth that you genuinely want to know their stories. I loved Fenghua—she’s funny, caring, and adored by everyone, she really struggled so much in her life but she is the best example for the warrior and strong woman, she just wanted to live a happy and successful life and she deserved happiness it's a character that you want to hug and help her so much she was a bit clumsy and tomboyish when she was a teenager but she became that beautiful swan, more calm and responsible, she was just a young woman struggling to have a stable and happy life.
Wanghe? That man is pure hotness and mature, he completely stole my attention, he is the kind of man every girl dreams of—on the surface, he seems indifferent, but deep down, he’s incredibly caring and loving. He made mistakes, but who doesn’t? No one is perfect. He struggles when expressing his true emotions and often misses the right timing, which is why he always seems a step behind.
Xingchi i feel like he’s someone who needs protection and love. He needs a warm hug and he was lucky having good friends actually all were lucky to have each other.
Another remarkable aspect of Northward is its portrayal of friendship—something rare and precious in life. No matter how hard things get, friends stand beside you like family. This drama beautifully depicts six friends, all with different personalities and interests, who have been together since childhood and remain inseparable. Their strength, courage, and love for one another gave me goosebumps just writing about them.
The nostalgia this drama evokes is another reason I adore it. It showcases the lives of six teenagers, their families, and their struggles in such a relatable and heartfelt way that I wished I could have been there, sharing their happiness and sadness. Northward perfectly illustrates family problems, the grey areas of life where we must decide between what’s right and what we truly want, and how we should balance life, friendship, and family. It reminds us that not everything is about career, money, or business.
Above all, it emphasizes the unconditional love of a family.
Some dramas stay in your heart forever, and Northward is definitely one of them. If I could rate it 100, I would—because it truly deserves it.
Northward feels similar to my own life. I could never return to my youth or that street I used to live on. Time always flows and everything passes quickly.

⚝Smooth to watch, not complicated or serious, but somewhat enjoyable⚝
I see that many people consider this cringeworthy—perhaps it is, or perhaps not—because I believe the beginning of some serious plot developments will come in the upcoming episodes. For this type of drama, it’s enjoyable to watch if you’re looking for something light without complex events, plot twists, or mind-burning moments.
As far as I know, the male lead is supposed to be younger than the female lead in the webtoon. I think the cast is good, except for some gaps in the chemistry of the second couple, which might develop in the upcoming episodes. However, I feel their chemistry shows more when they are not being serious (in comedic scenes).
Overall, it’s something you can enjoy if you watch it after a drama with heavy events. There are still upcoming episodes, and the plot is developing. I might update this after it’s completed.

Good of everytime ~~~
it's a global favorite for a reason. This romantic drama tells the story of a South Korean chaebol heiress, Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin), who accidentally paraglides into North Korea and meets Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin), a soldier with a heart of gold. The series stands out for its portrayal of cultural and political divides, capturing the stark differences between life in North and South Korea. Despite the tension, the romance feels natural and sincere, with the leads sharing heart-fluttering chemistry. The supporting cast adds layers of humor and emotional depth, while the breathtaking cinematography enhances the storytelling. Its mix of humor, suspense, and heartwarming moments leaves viewers deeply moved.

They should stop till here, it's not enjoyable anymore
This drama is being recycled over and over again and each new version gets worse, if they kept it to one part it would have been valuable and people would remember it and its story would still be unique, but they keep making empty parts and the story is becoming dull and not interesting anymore, it was unique because it was something new when it first came out so people were impressed by it even those who are not fans of Korean dramas but now the story is really not as interesting as before، they should stop it here, i don't know how will they film the next season i can't expect anything, but they may bring some famous stars to save it.Was this review helpful to you?

It's a good drama
The tenderness of this series is heartbreaking. It shows so much compassion with its difficult, self-sabotaging characters and has such a patient and motherly way of holding them in tension with each other just long enough to give them—finally—the chance to find each other.
It shows how much we all need the loyalty of others to hold us long enough until we find the strength to be brave again. To risk getting hurt again and to hold on to the new hope of deserving love. Trauma freezes us inside, and it’s impossible to warm yourself up again all alone.
This series shows how we can find healing if we let other people in, slowly, very slowly. I love this show for not being hasty and for showing us that we all have a lot to work through. Nobody is normal—some people are just better at hiding themselves—but that’s not what life is about.

Amazing drama, it's actually a piece of art for me.
Something about this series is that each character has their own story and each character has a meaningful message that the creators of this series want to convey to the viewer, and this kind of depth is hard to find. The story is incredibly interesting, and even the supporting roles seem to have their own lives, I love that each episode is better than the one before it, each episode reveals a new mystery and secret and tells the story of a specific character. I am someone who, when I watch series, always looks for the scenario that carries a deep meaning and motivates the viewer and tries to convey a message that you find you need (I am talking about this because I found lines that have a deep and beautiful meaning that I needed in a difficult period, this drama came at the right time)The cast is absolutely amazing, hats off to all of them! Can we talk about the soundtrack, it is amazing. Sa Dingding nailed it! It is almost perfect. Zhou shen , I also loved his voice, his voice has always been beautiful, soft, deep and sweet. In this drama i can never skip the intro and this is rare for me.
the CGI is so so pretty and a magic work . The plot, storytelling, acting, and visual effects are all perfect! The plot twists are beautiful, the stories connect beautifully with each other, and the progression and character development in this drama is not slow but smooth and precise.
I recommend it to everyone even if you are not a huge fan of fantasy drama but this is a must watch drama.

Refreshing and easy to watch
The story isn't really something unique or catching but it's still very enjoyable, the ating isn't that great but isn't that bad too, we all know the jdrama acting style... But the change in the ml love interest was portrayed so well. The fl is really annoying chasing ml when he refused her already but still she didn't lost hope in him, and in the last she won hh.
The chemistry between them is the thing that makes you want to watch more and continue the show i didn't like that fl insisted about ml to love her but it's a jdrama after all the fl chasing ml first isn't something new, but i hope they don't make many dramas of this type where they show the fl as a weak person that badly needs a man besides her.

sweet and peaceful
I loved this movie. It was a slow build, heartfelt romance... I would watch it again and highly recommend it to anybody that is a fan of heartwarming romances. The film delves into themes of identity, honesty, and the complexities of teenage relationships. Hiyori Sakurada's portrayal of Nozomi is noted for its depth, capturing the nuances of a young girl caught between her feelings and the fear of revealing the truth. Fumiya Takahashi delivers a compelling performance as Jun, showcasing the character's charm and vulnerability.
is a feel-good, sweet romance that resonates with audiences through its relatable characters and genuine depiction of young love. It's a recommended watch for those who enjoy heartfelt romantic dramas.

Emotionally Engaging Drama with Strong Performances.
At first, I didn't like the editing; it felt chaotic and not fluid. I also didn't like how the director dragged out some scenes. For example, there's no need to make me watch someone cry for over a minute - I understood they were sad and crying after the first 20 seconds. But despite that, the show manages to make you feel something, and that's the most important thing for me. If a show succeeds in creating a connection between the viewer and the characters, moving the audience's emotions to the point where they feel like they're part of the story, that's a major success. The acting was realistic and free from the usual Korean drama clichés. The actors weren't afraid to show themselves in unflattering ways, whether crying, falling, or getting hurt. There wasn't any bad acting in this drama; there was a good harmony between the cast. The show contains a mix of warmth, sadness, depth, joy, and unspoken emotions. It has a bit of everything. I highly recommend it.Was this review helpful to you?

Captivating drama, the acting is extraordinary
This series explores the complexities of the human mind, illustrating how every action leads to another. It challenges the conventional notions of good and bad, revealing that a 'good' person isn't always purely good, and a 'bad' person isn't necessarily evil. The show highlights how experiences and circumstances can drastically transform an individual.
Park Eun-Bin takes on her first-ever sinister role, showcasing her incredible acting range. The well-prepared cast, compelling plot, and excellent direction elevate the series. It also delves into complex ethical dilemmas in the medical field, adding layers of moral conflict that keep the audience engaged.
For those who appreciate medical dramas that go beyond procedural storytelling, Hyper Knife is a must-watch. Its gripping plot keeps viewers hooked from start to finish, complemented by outstanding performances—especially from Park Eun-Bin.
Park Eun-Bin's performance in Hyper Knife is remarkable. Known for her versatility, she delivers this complex character with sincerity and energy, earning praise from both audiences and critics. Her portrayal of Se-ok’s psychological breakdown is deeply nuanced, making viewers feel both pity and ambivalence toward her actions.
Sul Kyung-gu also enhances the drama with his nuanced portrayal of Choi Deok-hee, a character whose personal motivations and flaws add emotional depth to the story.

A pleasant K-drama with an interesting premise and enough romantic excitement to keep it engaging.
Let me start with some of the issues I personally had with this series. Firstly, it relies on tropes you've probably encountered multiple times before. For example, emotional outbursts stir drama and push characters to act out of jealousy or passion to gain the attention of their love interest. Secondly, it leans heavily on "chance encounters" or "leaving it up to fate," which can feel like a lazy crutch to drive the plot forward. While such elements might work occasionally, their overuse diminishes the uniqueness of the show. Lastly, the plot sometimes becomes slightly confusing due to multiple subplots happening simultaneously alongside the main storyline.
On the positive side, there are far more strengths in this drama than the flaws I mentioned. I greatly enjoyed how Kim Bok Joo was portrayed as an independent and capable female protagonist. She confidently pursues what she wants, and her circle—including her trio of friends, father, and uncle—creates a warm and supportive dynamic. These lovable characters provide Bok Joo with both financial and emotional encouragement.
Moreover, the supporting characters are well-utilized. Rather than being discarded once their roles are fulfilled, they are developed thoughtfully, enriching the story. The cast does an excellent job in their respective roles, adding depth and providing an entertaining experience. It's especially rewarding to witness side characters evolving alongside their own personal arcs, complementing the overall plot progression.
