I first want to say that I'm aware I gave a higher rating than this drama really deserve but this reflect what I feel about it, what my heart feel about it.

If you're so busy during the week and want a short drama you can watch and finish in a single week end. If, like me, you always crave for heart warming romance that can fulfil your heart with warmth, tender and love, makes it flutter and put sparkles in your eyes. This one can perfectly do it
I didn't expect much about it and I was so surprised to enjoy it this much, well, I have to say, it really was my heart that enjoy it the most !!!

Along all the drama my heart couldn't stop racing and missing a beat each time there was a cute romantic scene between the leads. Even when they weren't together and we saw Lee Kang Hoon doing something for her behalf.
It's been ages I didn't feel this way when watching a drama, it was exactly what I was searching for and exactly what made me click next episode right after the end of an episode. Luckily for me it's a short drama, otherwise I might have ended like a zombie who didn't sleep for days in order to finish it. Lol.

Kang Hoon is the typical cynical chaebol we meet in lots of kdramas. I didn't really like him first but we fast discover that his love transcend him and he's in fact so touching and so lovable. Of course he's not the kindest one towards the girl but we know that it's just a shield to protect his heart to being hurt. And knowing that makes his moves so touching and cute. That's when my heart fell. Sung Hoon was a pure revelation for me, I know for sure I wouldn't feel this way if it was an another actor. He gives life to his character with perfection. He's not a perfect actor but he's the one for this drama. And omo omo that deep charming voice of him.. Rrrrh. Just talk, I could listen to you for hours without ever get tired of it. XD .

The female lead is also the typical poor but very proud girl we meet in lots of kdramas. She's tough but she has her weakness. It makes her so real, a girl we can definitely relate to. Finish the non-stop-crying-sobbing-exasperating main girl. I loved so much following her, waited to the heart for her nemesis to be crushed, craving for her feelings to grow...

The romance between the two characters was so cute, so fluffy, so heart warming, so true and never ever stop to make me Aww and fall. I'm a little mixed about their chemistry. They do have a good chemistry, we definitely can see and feel the feelings between the two but when it went to kissing that was a little disappointed. I wish they didn't have the dead-fish kind of type kissing. It always killed the mood. But that was okay, it was not the endless-awkward-turn-around-camera kind. We can easily get over it.

This drama in fact reunites most of the clichés you can find in dramaland but thanks to its short length it's never boring and don't have the time to be dragging. And thank god that's a good point ! Who never gets tired of the endless loop of ex-lovers intervention or family disagreement ? Here, you won't have the time to get bored or sigh of exasperation. Every problem is solved quickly and naturally.
That's really refreshing.

A real bonus to this drama is the Manga type image at the beginning of each episode. So cute.
I just have one last word, Don't think and go watch it !!! :D

I was looking for something light, entertaining, Japanese (yep ! The “Japanese”part is really important because I just wanted something real, something human, something only Japan know how to do..) to lift up my spirit which not feeling at the best at the moment. And I’m surprised that this drama entirely fulfill those goals. And there were so much more in it. First I have to admit I love Yankees stories in Japanese cinema. I love the fact that even if they are Yankees, a bad guy with bad reputation, who love fighting and skipping class, they most of the time have the kindest heart ever. There are also in this drama some powerful and stunning meaningful sentences. I’m impressed by this drama and what it made me feel.
It’s not an amazing drama itself, it’s not flawless, it’s not absolutely the one everyone have to watch but if you’re looking for something to warm up your heart on a cloudy dark day, it might be the one. Plus the fact that it’s about teenagers in high school reinforce the light side. There’s nothing complicated, nothing tricky, no need to think, no need to try to understand everyone hidden motives, we just need to watch it and enjoy it.

“If you give up from the start, you can’t do anything. If you don’t give up, things will not end. Don’t give up till the end. You can be anyone. The possibilities are infinite.” The drama starts on this simple brilliant sentence. And from the very beginning you know this drama is gonna be about hope and people fighting for their goals. And for me, for the one I was when starting this drama, that was exactly the sentence that makes me cry and realize that yes I can do everything ! If I give up, I can’t win. (Against work issues, against heart darkness, against love disappointments, this works for everything)

This drama is all about Naoya who in order to save the school he loves so much creates a Waterpolo team with 7 members. Those 7 players were everything in this drama. At the end of the drama, we know everything about everyone, we know their strength, their flaws, their joys, their sadness, their love and their hopes. It’s a team that learn to grow up together facing those difficult teenage years. What I love about sports is the team spirit, I love so much seeing a whole team getting together ready to do anything for helping one of their teammate. And this drama is surely full of this. Every drama about sports have this and this is so heartwarming and it always makes me want to be a part of it.
Of course I have to say, remember, this is waterpolo, a water sport, this means hot guys in swimming suits ! Hell YAY XD. Maybe a little too young for me but wth it’s still eye catchy.

The main character is Naoya, a Yankee in all his splendor. He looks dangerous but he has one of the most beautiful golden heart never seen. He’s a little annoying at the beginning being irresponsible a little childish, quirky. He’s also so naive, it’s a flaw and something that annoyed me but it also was so cute and touching sometimes. He is so adorable with all his strength, his will, his endless hope, his smile and unfailing good humor. He is a model of fighting spirit, guts and chivalry. He is the one who changed everyone else’s life and way of thinking just by being him. “Men have to take responsibilities of theirs words.”

In fact there’s one music that turned my heart upside down and was able to give me shivers each time I heard it but I’m so sad I can’t find it anywhere. I just know that it’s from Yu Takami and this guy seems to be like the Japanese Hans Zimmer.

My rating is completely based on the feeling I have at the precise time I watched it.
I will surely re-watch it the day I’ll need some cheer up. ^^

“No matter how many times we fail, we believe that one day, our dreams will come true.”

So... This was an amazing, awesome drama.
It's full of great actions, some daebak fighting scenes (even if it took me some times to accept the fact that it was mostly like a choreography than like a real fight, I finished to really appreciate the beauty of those scenes), the characters were great, especially Daegil and his buddies, loved so so much Wangson and the general Choi (one funny, carefree but with a friendly side, one serious, proud but with a cute childish side), each other character had a little something that made me react (in a good or in a bad way) and they were so true that I sometimes can feel that they could be real, the music made me travel, dream and was always really well choose for each scene, the story was absorbing even though I missed a real ending for some second leads, I also missed a real link between the two main stories (The one with Daegil and Song Taeha an the one with the slaves).

About the two main leads, first, Daegil... He's so powerful in so many ways, his story is deeply moving and he managed to become one of a great person, with a bad boy side but a heart bigger than anyone ! I was so touch by each little action, each little detail that no one can see but only discover later.. Even if he might look like a bad guy, an unscrupulous person, we happen to realize little by little that he has the most generous and amazing personality ! And no one can miss the fact that Oh My God, he's freaking gorgeous !!!!!

Song Taeha, I first liked this character so much, his good personality with many principles. He's the opposite of Daegil, like the bright side and the dark side. But he's in a way too ideologically bound that he didn't fit in this world. I had times when I hate what he said or how he acted, like a narrow minded person but I never really dislike him.

Those two guys were perfect for this drama, perfect for each other and I liked their actions, their fights and their talks.

A real bonus for Wangson, the general Choi and Seolwha who made this drama funnier and greater to watch !!!
Another bonus for the ending of each episode with this daebak music and this beautiful painted picture !

I'm gonna miss so much Daegil, Taeha, Wangson, General Choi, Seolwha, Chobok, Keutbong, Baekho... And this music !!!!!! Now that I finished this drama, I feel like a void inside me and can't stop listening to the music just to stay in the same mood !! kekeke

As lots of people here, as soon as I heard about his drama I lost my mind. A drama about an occidental girl who is pushed inside her favourite drama ??!!! Hell yeah I needed to watch this !!!! Living inside our loved dramas is a dream (more or less powerful) each of us could have at one point in our lives. And as most of people here I was disappointed by it. Well... It's not like I wasn't expecting it, I already knew that it would be so different than what I wanted it to be. In fact I wished I could relate to this girl and maybe put me at her place to live what she was living. I'm already making up tones of stories like this in my head but nothing here was even slightly close to what I ever imagine. And Claire was so far from my own personality that I never could relate to her. I mean, she's not even have an ounce of humility nor respect for the one around her. Sure she is nice and fun but she's also pushy and controlling. Not my taste. And what the hell is this hairstyle ???!!! XD
About the drama itself, it was a little far fetched but this is how it was supposed to be so I'm ok with that.
I was totally indifferent towards most of the character but I liked how the writers gave life to every kdrama characters. The arrogant rich main lead, the sweet and innocent poor main girl, the bitchy second lead, the mother who wants to control the life of her boy and think she can choose who he's gonna date, the crazy irrational villain... I love and laughed like a crazy about all the kdrama clichés, all the laws and all the rules of dramaworld !!! Well done Korea to be able to laugh on yourself ! I'D LOVE it if we can buy the book about "every law, rule, trick and trope of dramaworld" ! Seems to be a really fun book to have. :)

In conclusion even if I didn't enjoy this drama and I have a lot to complain about, I still recommend it just because I think that every kdramas lovers have to watch this one. Do not expect anything about the storyline but enjoy all the fun and crazy moments about dramaworld !
And I completely agree with everything @ViolinGal said in her review !!!

WOW just WOW !! This movie is such a masterpiece!! It has everything! I smiled, I laughed, I cried, I had shivers... I didn't really pay attention to the plot so everything was a surprise and god! What a surprise!!
She's funny and I was so moved by her story and what she's facing. Good job to Jeon Ji Hyeon, a great actress who make me feel all the joy and sadness of the personage.

It was tough at the beginning because of Jo Anna and her irritating horrible personality but thanks to the nice, kind and so lovable Jang Chul Soo I didn't drop it and I'm glad to.

Jo Anna is the most hateful character you can ever meet but along the drama she soften but keep her straight and direct talk. She can appear like a cold person but she speaks the truth and even if it hurts she doesn't lie and I like it. Well maybe if she was smoother or nicer or less arrogant that would be even great. Oh ! And I so liked when she put in her place the second girl ! Na ! finally a girl who isn't shy to say out loud what we could never say ! ;)

I loved Kang Ja, the crazy high girl. Always make me smile with her pure and childish mind.
I loved the 3 children and how Jo Anna teach them life and how to survive ;) (hard way but at least they understand XD) And I loved their relationship. So kawaï.
Two characters made me laugh so hard because they reunite ALL the old clichés in Dramaland and oh god that was so funny because so obviously over act and totally a big joke from the writers.

And what can I say about Oh Ji Ho..... A must to see character. He's so kind, so nice, so altruistic, always ready to do everything (well in exchange of money but he has 3 children to raise, he need this money for them.), so lovable, so funny, so smiling, so caring, so.... well he's everything ! And those dimples.... *sigh* ;)

It's been a while since I hesitate to watch this drama because the plot is kinda not that attractive. The first thing that makes me look at this drama was the presence of Kimura Takuya of course. He's one of my favorites Japanese actor and I'd like to watch all of his dramas. Then I read the plot. Then I was mixed. Is it really gonna be a love story between a human girl and a robot who look like her fiancé ? I had a little issue with this moderately ethic approach. Luckily for me I have the best watching partner (in crime) who happen to love Kimu almost as much as I am and so we started it together.

In fact I was not prepared for this. It pleasantly surprised me. I'm so glad I watched this and now that it finished I'm lost and want to see more of it. So I'm listening to the music on repeat to impregnate myself in it again, not forget and bring back the feels.
The music is a beautiful sound to my ears and is well adapted to the drama. I'm not really found of the loud stressing TADAM sound that comes each time there were powerful actions but the peace calm musical parts that come with it definitively give me goosebumps and make me want to fly in the beautiful sky of this drama. For me the best song is the one we hear on the very last episode. Best discovery ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGPSWyyUMCQ

As I said, the first episode was a real surprise for me. I didn't expect it to be this complete, complex and simple in the mean time, fast and punchy. Ok the story might be a bit far fetched, it deals with lots of nonsense but don't forget that it's totally sci-fi. And surprisingly it's not completely unrealistic. In fact I might believe it ! The writers did a good job. I wasn't bored a single time, I wasn't too much stressed neither, I loved most of it. Ok I guess that once I decided to stop understand every parts and just enjoy it, I was able to fully enjoy it. No need to think, just watch and enjoy !
I think I should say a little more about myself to understand why I loved it that much.. I like science, I love computer stuff, I'm a mix between art and science, drawing and 3D-ing, I come from a family full of engineers and computer scientists. This drama compile all of it. I loved the way they managed to explain the robots as living computers dealing with programs, viruses, back up, flash memory, system restoration... that's my thing. XD. My other thing is totally completely fantasy. And with this drama I was served !

About the relationship itself... I was afraid it might be too romantic and a little bit creepy. Imagine a girl falling in love with a machine that exactly looks like her dead fiancé ! Yeks. But that wasn't like that. Of course they grow some feelings but it was so beautifully, simply done I never feel unease about it. I couldn't not talk about the relationship between Reiji and Asahi. Oh my ! They're so freaking cute adorably sweet together. I smiled and aww EACH TIME we saw them together !! I'm craving for this kind of relationship !

About the actors and their characters. First I was so amazed by Kimura Takuya's acting here ! Playing both Reiji and Lloyd, he was so great at it !! I mean, it was like two different actors ! He was unbelievably credible as a robot and totally him as a shy over clever quirkyscientist. I loved both of them. Loved so much how he moved me as Reiji, how touched I was by his actions, his reaction and his love for Asahi. Loved so much how reassured I felt seeing his robot side, he was so serious, so straight forward but so reassuring, so stable. I never stressed for Asahi's safety knowing he was here for protecting her.

I was pleasantly surprised by Shibasaki Kou. I hated her in Orange days, didn't like her in Nobunaga Concerto, but here... Here she shined ! I loved following her trying to survive in this new world without her beloved one and with someone who want her dead. Was sad with her when remembering her lost love, smiled at her silliness when dealing with a robot, was impressed by her bravery facing danger.

I could say a word for each second character because as always in Japanese production each character was well developed and I always feel like they are real important person and not just someone used only to make the first leads shine. I will never be tired of jdrama and I'll miss them all because it's like I know them personally and it's something I don't find in other countries productions.

The special effects were so well done that it's almost unnoticeable and it becomes more easy to buy it and believe in this fantastic story. I have to say I particularly loved how Lloyd disappear and travel through space.

I know I'm completely biased regarding this drama, I know there are a lot of flaws but I think I definitely find the drama that suit me the most. And believe me or not, just writing this review makes me rethink the final rating and improve it.

The end is kind of questionable but I won't talk about it, I like to remember my loved dramas without an end, it's like it never ended and can continue forever and ever. And it's more enjoyable the day I'll decide to re-watch it ^^

I'll re-watch it for sure !

There was a whole part in the beginning that I LOVED so so much !!! During this part, Jung woo sung was simply amazing !

The rest of the movie, well I wasn't really into it.. Not that it was bad, I bet a lot of people will love it but I don't know, I felt like something was missing.. I mean, I think that the best part of the movie is set between the 15-20th first minutes to I'd say almost the 50th minutes and after that I expected so much and I didn't find the same feeling I had during the beginning...

Do not get me wrong, I loved this movie, there was lots of things I really liked !!! I particularly loved so much the characters in the entourage of Jung woo sung !!! Awesome Ahn Kil Kang, Daebak Ahn Sung Ki and funky Lee Bum Soo !! ^^ I not so much like the girl and I found the romance part particularly boring and totally useless. The big bad guy was a real mean, unscrupulous, ruthlessly asshole guy. Choi Jin Hyeok is pretty good in his way, we easily hate him without any remorse and I was surprised by his acting (in a good way).
The music really well suit each scene, I didn't expect less from the Koreans who always have one of the best ost ever.
The action, fighting scenes were amazing even if I think there might be a little too much blood. (Sensitive people, be careful.)

In the end I had a great time especially thanks to Jung woo sung and his special awesome team but I do have some regrets...
We were introduced to an awesome interesting mysterious character but never happen to really know about him and I missed that. And I was a little disappointed by a scene which looks Daebak on the trailer and was not so amazing in the movie.... :/

And a good point for the story to be cut in several parts just like the strategies of the go ! Loving it !!
