Story: What doesn’t sound interesting about this movie? Not only is it funny and cute, it also contains a very important message. The way I saw the message is, beauty equals corruption. Extensive plastic surgery, eating disorders and such. I’m not saying being beautiful is wrong or corrupt. Only the way some people go about achieving it.

I found this movie very funny, the way people treated her, pre and post-surgery. I loved Ha-na’s character and disliked others, but that’s part of the fun of watching this movie. Seeing how people react and change the way they are and think. There was a ton of growth in several of the characters through out this movie. It isn’t just a shallow movie with funny parts. Kim Ah-Joong has you laughing within the first ten minutes.

Music: Some of the best music I’ve ever heard. Kim Ah-Joong, who played Ha-na and Jenny sang all of the songs, including Maria. I’d watch this movie again just to hear her sing.

Cast/Acting: In addition to a beautiful voice, she can really act. Kim Ah-Joong is a triple threat, displayed well in this production. She was very sincere and put a lot of work into her performance. Ji Seo-Yun, who played antagonist Amy, did an excellent job as well.

Story: This movie is slow paced with not much drama and a very small plot. In a nut shell it’s a foreign exchange student, Miao Miao, trying to find love and figure out why the one she loves is sad. The rest of the movie is her and her friend Ai goofing off, talking about life and such. It’s a story about life, friendship and loving someone you never thought you would. I prefer faster paced movies with a deeper plot and engaging drama. This one is more like A Gentle Breeze in the Village in the sense of pace and plot.

Ai is a normal teenage girl with normal friends. None of them are good at baking and they love to joke around and goof off. Miao Miao is an exchange student from Japan who is very quiet and shy. The two girls hit it off right away and spend the majority of their time together. They are normal teenage girls. In the end Miao Miao falls in love with a guy who is so self absorbed and depressed. He spends his time with noise cancelling headphones on and searching for CD to help him remember his lost love and best friend. Ai, thinks Miao Miao spends too much time with him and is jealous. She wants Miao Miao all to herself, but not for reasons she thinks.

A warning to prudes: there are underlying homosexual tendencies in this movie. Nothing even remotely ‘graphic’ though. In all there are two different main love lines in this movie, a third in the background. None of them bloom by the end which really disappointed me.

I found it a little too boring and disappointing. I wanted something more to happen and develop between the characters, but nothing ever did. In all it’s a good short movie to watch if you want something a little more light-hearted that deals with friendship and finding the one you truly love.

Music: Honestly, it never made that much impression on me. I do remember that in the second hand CD shop it sounded like a lot of indie music. That wasn’t too bad. Honestly, I was more focused on what was going on in the movie than the tunes.

Cast/Acting: They weren’t bad, but they weren’t amazing either. Personally, I really invested myself into them, trying to figure out who they were and just what the hell was up Chen Fie’s ass. I loved Pinna Sandrine’s characters. While she was immature and goofy there was a sadness to her. Her parents aren’t together, she caught her dad in bed with a woman, and she loves someone who won’t love her back.

This was the first movie I’d seen Ke Alice in, but I was impressed. I know her major from college was English, but she did really good with Japanese. There wasn’t a whole lot spoken, but she really nailed it. Her acting was just as good, she really seemed shy and introverted.

Story: It’s a really heartwarming story. Juri is extremely stubborn with a very hard shell while Kouta is sweet and caring. Together the two of them make one hell of a couple. They perform at a small club with friends on some nights and go out to eat like normal people. While Juri refuses help from other people Kouta welcomes it and helps others as well. I love how different their personalities are and yet they are drawn to each other because they are both blind with a love for music.

They’re constantly struggling though. And it’s always something different: money, approval for marriage, neighbors gossiping, whether or not they should start a family and more. There is never a dull moment.

It really is something different and it kind of teaches you in a way. Love is not just physical. Marriage is not just a ring on the finger. Family means looking out for one another. Success is not easy, it is pain and hard work. It isn’t a typical love story, which makes this all the more better.

Music: Very subtle, you focus more on the story than the actual background music

Cast/Acting: The first show I saw Ueto Aya star in was Azumi, where she played a cold female assassin. Then I watched her in Attention Please where she played a very outgoing and bright flight attendant trainee. I was so amazed with her acting, its as if she has multiple personalities, the way she’s able to pull them off so well.

Koide Keisuke was good as well. They had good chemistry and acted like a real couple. Together, despite being able to see, they were able to pull off acting blind very well, looking straight ahead, not looking at people and walking with a cane.

Story: How could a plot like that not capture your attention? The whole movie was a little bit suspenseful, though I wish there had been more suspense, and even a little bit romantic, which I found creative. It’s interesting to see romance worked into a murder mystery without everything being so over-exaggerated and bombing. It turned out pretty nice here and even brought on some parts that made me laugh. This story falls more into the mystery genre, so don’t go in thinking you’ll be scared. It’s not very scary at all, but there are a lot of plot twists so it keeps you on edge. And trust me, the ending when you find out who the killer is, will blow your mind. It blew mine.

Music: There’s hardly any music. For a movie like this I think that’s a good thing. It doesn’t distract you from whats going on. The times where you do hear ‘music’ is just background drums and such when time is pressed.

Cast/Acting: I wouldn’t say the acting is bad, because Kang So-ra and Yoo Seung Ho did a pretty good job, there’s just room for improvement. The parts where they really preformed their best were the romantic ones.

Story: It’s a beautiful tragic romance. There are some cliche parts, such as Makoto liking another girl while she looks on, but it is so beautifully done that I don’t even care. It’s unique in a way. She lacks a growth hormone, making her look very young when in reality it’s deeper than just that. The two of them are perfect together, as friends and lovers. The ending will definitely make you cry, it made me ball my eyes out.

Music: The music set the mood for everything and the ending theme is so beautifully sung I put it on my ipod right away. It’s one of those songs (for me at least) that whenever you’ll hear it, your heart will jerk because it will remind you of that tragic relationship between the two mains.

Cast/Acting: The leads were all I cared about, honestly. I was too absorbed in their odd relationship to even care about the rest of the cast, who only held a certain amount of air time anyway. They did great getting into their characters and playing the parts. It all seemed very sincere to me. They seemed to

Story: The story was wonderful. It sounded like the perfect comedy, it was, and ended up being so much more. I watch most of my stuff on dramacrazy.net and the description for this movie on that site doesn’t do it justice. It is so much more than a comedy. Each of the workers in the bakery has their own little traumatic past, from being a “gay-of-demonic-charms” to having been kidnapped. Even with the traumatic pasts of the bakery workers, it doesn’t put a downer on the movie. They work the drama into a comedy very smoothly and nicely. It’s still a very funny movie, one that made me laugh so many times and will continue to rewatch it.

Music: The music is really enjoyable. They picked perfect songs and used them in just the right places. I like how it’s mostly classical, not one song that they play continuously. It fits what’s going on in the show without overdo-ing it.

Cast/Acting: The cast was perfect! They all did a great job getting into their characters, every one of them seemed genuine and believable. I had no problem buying into them and falling for their drama. Especially Kim Jae Wook. He did a great job with his role. I was even surprised at how well he speaks French. I, personally, even thought all of them were pretty cute. What’s a good movie without some eye candy, yeah?

Story: First of all, while this is a romantic comedy, it is much more than that. I have yet to see another romantic comedy that would make me feel so much heart break and pain and make me bawl my eyes out. Usually only sad movies such as A Millionaire’s First Love do that to me. I didn’t know so I’m giving you a fair warning. Grab tissues ahead of time.

This story has one of the best female characters ever. She isn’t too girly and naive like the girl from You Are My Pet. This girl is tough and not afraid to beat someone up. Her personality is very extroverted and yet you can see the pain she is in. Because of all the pain she is in, she often drinks to try to forget it all.

That’s where the male lead comes in. He just happens to see her while she’s drunk and stops her from possibly falling in front of the subway. His personality is more submissive and he always does what she says. The times when he tries to assume the dominate role it never works out. He usually ends up in jail. But it’s because the two of them are like this that you start to fall for them the way they did for each other. You don’t realize it at first, you’re just laughing at all the crazy stuff going on, wondering what the hell else could she make him do, and then you’re crying and getting angry with the two of them.

I should mention, that the female lead likes to write. The scenes where he reads her scripts weren’t the best. As he reads them, they are acted out. They were obviously supposed to be really badly written and completely full of cliches. For me that was the only negative, but I could care less in comparison with the rest of the movie.

Music: It was all beautiful. The orchestra did a great job. It honestly felt a little ‘royal’ to me. I’m not sure how to explain it, hmm. I kind of feel like it should be playing as background music during tea time in England. I hope that helps, I’m, sure it doesn’t. But it was all sweet and flowed very nicely.

Cast/Acting: They were so great together. It’s not every day you see a great movie about a couple where the girl constantly beats up the guy and assumes the dominate role. They were sweet and cute, even when she was beating the crap out of him. Cha Tae Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun should act together again.

Story: At first I thought this was going to be a comedy. Mostly because it’s a rich boy living in a penthouse who is told he has to live in a run down house in the country. Furthermore he hates school and is now forced to graduate in order to keep the money. It is a little funny, especially with the situations he is forced into because of Eun-hwan. Her character is caring and kind despite her painful secret. Without realizing it she brings out the best in everyone around her, even arrogant city boys.

You don’t even realize it yourself, but she is teaching you, the viewer, as well. It’s all subliminal. She doesn’t say anything outright like, “Enjoy life, it could end at any moment,” rather than showing us how precious life in and how a romance can save you from the beast inside of you.

One of my favorite aspects of this movie was the beautiful scenery. The autumn light sparkling around the town, leaves falling around everyone, rain pouring down during an intense scene and snow falling in a way that makes you want to cry. It was all done so poetically and in a way that you aren’t overwhelmed with only scenes from the town. This all takes place during important scenes. It not only adds to the story but makes you wish you were really there.

The romance, oh god the romance. There wasn’t that much kissing and there wasn’t a sex scene. But none of that mattered. They fell in love so hard and so fast that there wasn’t much time for them to prepare for what was going to happen. These two actors had so much chemistry that I believed in their love. This story reminds me of Nicholas Sparks, a noted romance novelist. It’s that good.

Music: So beautiful. The scenes alone are emotional but it was because of the music that the tears in my eyes overflowed and had to find tissues. Like A Tale of Two Sisters, the music only adds to what is going on. It’s not just there like some dramas where the characters are shopping and you need filler music. The music serves a purpose: to make you feel what those in the movie feel.

Cast/Acting: Every part was played wonderfully. I really believed in their romance and really believed in Eun-hwans secret. You can really see him changing for her and trying to be who he is supposed to.

Story: At first this sounds like a very sad story, like 1 Litre of Tears. I put off watching it because of that impression. The movie is generally more upbeat then the synopsis lets on. You get to see inside a science fiction writers mind and truly understand just what they’re thinking. Some of the stories that he had come up with were so ridiculous that you have to laugh. You’ve either got to very imaginative or clinically insane to come up with the ideas that he did. But it wasn’t just about the funny short stories. The relationship between Sakutaro and Setsuko is cute and it is really enjoyable to watch this movie.

The only problem I face is, to me, this is the kind of movie where once you watch it you don’t really want to watch it again because you know what’s going to happen and it isn’t funny anymore. I shouldn’t say ‘funny’ because Setsuko is sick, but once you watch it you’ll understand. It was very enjoyable to watch.

Music: I didn’t pay much attention to the soundtrack. I was too busy laughing and crying.

Cast/Acting: Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Yuko Takeuchi did a good job. In the movie the two of them have a thing for robots and I really liked how Tsuyoshi Kusanagi kind of seemed like a robot himself. Not in a he-can’t-act-he-is-emotionless kind of way. It’s kind of like how he was so intent with writing and keeping his wife by his side. He was so focused and sincere.

Story: The majority of viewers have typically seen the Japanese Drama ‘Kimi wa Petto’ staring Matsumoto Jun first. I haven’t so I’m going to base this review off of the fact that it is a movie and not a remake. It frustrates me when I read reviews and they are about how this sucked in comparison to the drama. The movie, truly, is not that bad.

It’s really refreshing to see Jang Keun-Suk with a light-hearted and go-with-the-flow character. His character was very sexy, crawling on floor to address his ‘master’ and even pulling down his shorts at one point. I really saw him in a different light. Trust me when I say, for those of you who loved him in You’re Beautiful, your thoughts about him aren’t going to be so pure. Especially with those dance moves and the bathtub scenes. With his cute and funny acting, you can’t help but admire the fact that in addition to manly roles (Itaewon Homicide) he can be cutesy as well.

The romance was so adorable and interesting. Not many people would agree to being someones pet. It was intriguing to see their relationship grow and develop over time. How she only thought of him as Momo and then towards the end fell in love with him. It was very funny to see the way he acted with her, saying perverted things like, “I only touched your chest,” and her reaction. They seemed to have some good chemistry on screen.

While I admire the romance, I don’t admire Eun-Yi as a person. While she is hardworking, I found her very weak. For example, you don’t bring your first love to your house, while another man is living with you. I mean, come on, no one is that stupid.

Music: It had some pretty good tunes, nothing I would put on my iPod though, if you know what I mean. There was one song that was sung in Engrish by JGS. I couldn’t understand half of what he was saying but the melody along with the acoustic guitar sounded nice. He just needs better pronunciation.

Cast/Acting: A lot of people are saying that JGS was cast to show off his dancing and singing skills. In reality he had to take dance lessons for this role. It isn’t as if he was cast soles because of his dancing. I think he did a great job, as I said earlier. While there is room for improvement and he could have done better, I think he did pretty good.

Kim Ha Neul, was okay. I can’t give her too much credit because it isn’t that hard to play a normal, stupid girl in love. There wasn’t much of a challenge and she didn’t really do anything but keep one man on a leash while another guy pursued her. With that in mind, her chemistry with JGS wasn’t that bad. They were cute together.

Story: When Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa first acted together in You’re Beautiful my heart was broken. It’s because of how sweet Yonghwa is that you want the girl to end up with him. In this drama he finally gets the girl.

It was very nice to watch him go from being cold and rude to warm and open hearted. The transformations within this drama are beautiful and heart warming. It was lovely watching old romances being rekindled and unlikely romances happening. It is all about deciding your own path and finding happiness. However, it’s not all love and sunshine. There is death, tragedy and plot twists that make you want to yell at your screen. At one point I had to stop watching for a few hours because of how intense it is.

While the story was amazing and flowed beautifully, it ended really weird. I don’t even know how to explain it. One moment everything seems messed up and then the next you’re like, “what just happened?” because you don’t even know how to explain what you saw. I don’t even know how to tell you.

Music: Probably the best music I’ve ever heard, seriously. Because this takes place at an art school everyone has musical talent and there is always some type of music playing. The singing was great but I think the best music was all the traditional music that was played. They put a slightly modern spin on it, not to mention there are times when it is played with guitars and it sounds breath taking. I own the OST not to mention I found a bunch of songs ripped directly from the show because they were that good.

Cast/Acting: I know most people ship the two main characters together first. And I do ship Park with Jung, but they weren’t my favorite couple. I liked Yeo Joon-Hee (who is played by the drummer of C.N.Blue) with Han Hee-Joo, who was an attention seeking whore determined to be in the spot light no matter what. I hated her so much at times but Joon-Hee was so sweet with her and romantic. The way he was with her, it was so sincere.

Every one did such a good job with their characters. So much that at times you literally hate them or cry.

Story: I thought the story was really funny. In real life I would consider Ashiya a crazy fan stalking her idol and wonder why Izumi would like that. But this isn’t real life and that’s what makes it funny. The drama is meant to be crazy and funny, not realistic. I really enjoyed watching the fights that Ashiya and Sano would get into, as well as the drama that went on in the school: the dorms fighting, teachers accusing students of cheating, competitions. You’re never bored with this drama. You’re always going to wonder what the hell will go on in the next episode? What other oddities will be displayed? What else can go wrong?

Music: I liked that the music was instrumental. It added a very upbeat feeling to the scenes.

Cast/Acting: I started watching this show because of Oguri Shun, my favorite Japanese Actor. I had seen him in Crows Zero, a bad ass fighting movie, as well as Hana Yori Dango, where he didn’t get the girl, and was extremely curious as to how he would do as the main love interest in a very funny romantic comedy. He didn’t disappoint.

Neither did Horikita Maki. She did just as good here as she did in her other dramas (Innocent Love, Atashinchi no Danshi). The best, in my opinion, was Ikuta Toma who played Nakatsu. He really fit the role of his character and honestly, he is the most funny out of everyone.

Story: This was my first fighting movie ever (I never even watched American fighting movies) so I didn’t go in expecting much. This movie blew me away and even more. I found the story very interesting. And despite it being based off of a manga, the characters were recreated and very interesting. Even with all the ass kicking the director still found time to add bits of humor. It wasn’t very realistic taking place at a school where the only time you see teachers is at the very beginning, but the rest of it was alright.

Music: It was enjoyable. Nothing as memorable as the soundtrack to 1 Litre of Tears, but decent none the less.

Cast/Acting: The only, and I mean only, reason that I wanted to try out a violent movie in the first place was because Oguri Shun stars in it (him being my favorite Japanese actor). I wasn’t disappointed. Of course like his role in Hana Kimi and Hana Yori Dango he plays a more silent and serious type and plays it even better than I’ve ever seen. I had no problem believing into his charactor.

In addition to Oguri Shuns brilliant acting, I loved some of the leaders from other gangs. Mostly because, as a girl, a lot of them made great eye candy. Such as Tokio played by Kenta Kiritani, Izaki played by Sousuke Takaoka and Hiromi played by Shunsuke Daito.

Even better than the eye candy were the fight scenes. No lie.

Story: I rather liked this drama. At first I really hated Mei Le because of her complete Mary Sue character, but after a few episodes you come to understand she isn’t that perfect at all. She’s still all too innocent and pleasant but I came to like her later on. The drama had me going from the start, I would eagerly wait for the next episode to be subbed. The twists and turns kept me wondering what would happen next, how would they all be pushed to their limits? Until the last few episodes all the drama seemed realistic and was presented in a smooth way. Unfortunately, the last few episodes, though played out so nicely I cried several times just watching the pain Mei Le was in, was overdone. It felt like they just wanted a few more episodes to make it longer so they added something they didn’t really need. Despite that I rather liked the ending. It wasn’t one of the best endings, but was still played out nicely.

Music: The soundtrack is one of the best I’ve ever heard. Cyndi Wang is a singer so it’s no wonder they had her sing. I was really surprised to hear Mike He in the soundtrack. It’s no doubt he’s a good actor but he’s also a pretty goody singer as well.

Cast/Acting: Honestly, I think Mike had much better chemistry with Cyndi than he did with Rainie. They looked like they were a real couple with the way they would play around with each other and even when they got into fights. The relationship seemed so real between them, that when they were both in pain, it would make me want to cry. They did such a great job, it’s some of the best acting I’ve seen in a romantic comedy.

As for the supporting cast, they were alright. Not as great actors as the leads, but half way decent.

Story: If you’re a Super Junior fan you’re going to love this. The plot sounds funny and immediately drags you into watching the movie. I was a little disappointed. The characters were so exuberant I couldn’t help but dislike them. At times the acting felt forced or as if they weren’t trying. Not just the members of Super Junior, but minor characters too. A lot of the comedy seemed over exaggerated, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t laugh. Because I did, a lot. And I LIKED IT, a lot.

Music: A pretty good OST, I listen to it quite often.

Cast/Acting: As I said earlier it could have been better. That doesn’t mean the acting was bad, because it wasn’t. They were pretty comical.
