The drama was very promising especially at the beginning. As a lot of rom-com dramas begin, the main leads met bickering at each other. Both the main leads in the present and past met that way. But apart from episode 1 and 40, we don't see the characters in the present time. The story focused on the characters in the past but what sucked was that Luo Fu Sheng, the hero, did not win the heroine's heart till towards the middle of the drama and the drama instead focused on the side characters. When they finally got together there, were hardly any lovey dovey scenes because the story then focus on the family feud and when that was solved, the Japanese spy invaded the story. At the end, Luo Fu Sheng died and so we're back to the present time. In less than an episode, the main leads of the present time fell in love, separated, reunited and decided to get married. So much characters development for the side characters but no character development for the present couple. Seriously, what's wrong with the writer/s? I know Chinese dramas tend to have bad or sad ending but at least they'd usually have some logic to the story. Zhu Yi Long acting as Luo Fu Sheng was just perfect. Too bad the storyline sucked. If you're a fan of Zhu Yi Long then watching this drama is definitely worth it since you can gawk at him playing the charismatic bad boy that is often times cute and adorable and at times badass. The soundtrack is good as well, since there's one sung by Zhu Yi Long.

Light hearted, easily forgettable drama

I love the actor Song Seung Hoon since I saw him years ago in Autumn in My Heart but in this drama, the character he portrayed seemed mediocre. Doesn't have much character build up and not much drama to express his acting.
At the beginning it was interesting to watch how the main leads meet and we look forward to what would happen next. But then out of the blue came the exes at the same time then it got annoying. But then the girl's ex-bf pretty much took over the show, or at least that's how I feel. He has some past that he couldn't talk about and somehow the characters in the show are connected to him. I feel like this character overshadowed the main lead and actually the actor portrayed his character real well that I just feel so sorry for him. Then like a lot of k-dramas, they speed things up towards the end just to wrap things up. It was well wrapped up, but just like dumplings, you can wrap it good, but the inside also matters. In this case, it was average at best.

This is a revenge drama that goes awry. Lots of plot twist which makes it interesting.. The main lead, Hawick Lau's acting is on point but the lead actress not so much. I've seen her in many other dramas but for some reason her acting seems to always be the same. That's the only disappointment in this drama. The supporting actor that acts as the lead actress' brother was really good at portraying the character. Just like many Chinese dramas, the story can get a bit draggy and frustrating at times but if you bear with it then you'll get to understand the characters better. Overall, definitely worth watching but I won't rewatch it.

I love Luo Jin's acting and that's why I decided to watch this drama. The beginning was interesting but it got draggy and things kind of repeats itself. I like how the drama is about an undercover agent which makes the drama exciting and thrilling at times. But my goodness did they really have to cast that actress as the main lead? Not only is the character annoying even the actress couldn't act the part. Halfway through the drama, I just kept on watching for the sake of finishing the drama. No, I definitely would not rewatch this drama. I would give this drama 5 stars if not for Luo Jin and also the awesome soundtrack sung by Luo Jin.

Luo Jin and Tiffany Tang are both my favorite actors. You can definitely feel the chemistry between the main leads in this drama. This is one popular drama that many people raved about but for some reason, I find this drama draggy and frustrating at times. There were more screen times for the bad guys accumulated together than the scenes for the main leads which is disappointing. The soundtrack sang by the main leads is lovely and you could listen to it over and over without getting tired of it. The cast members were great at portraying their characters. Overall, I would say this drama is good but I definitely wouldn't rewatch it.

Steamy yet mysterious?

I like that both FL and ML have secrets and supernatural abilities. For me, I think the plot was well written. The background story about her father, unknown killer, FL & ML's childhood memories were given in pieces as we watch the drama as to give us clues to solve the mystery. Towards the end, as the mystery unravel, we get a clear picture of what happened in the past. All the clues were like puzzle pieces and none of the pieces were missing at the end giving us a clear solved puzzle. I'd have given this drama a solid 10/10 if not for the weird extra story, post solving the mystery. Both ML&FL became silly. I don't think it was necessary to show us that.

The beginning was great! Lots of funny scenes. Great chemistry between the main leads. Then there's the first plot twist which turned out to be a misunderstanding. Then there's the 2nd plot twist with the hero getting amnesia. If that's not bad enough, the way he suddenly recovered his memory was ridiculous too. Things seemed to be going well. But another bomb was dropped. The main characters had to separate just to fulfill one of the character's wish because she was dying of cancer. I mean seriously? Was the writer possessed or drunk? Heck this drama went from almost a 10 to almost zero if not for the awesome actors and great soundtrack by Zhu Yi Long. Overall, it's watchable but the storyline is ridiculous. I don't think it's a waste of time watching this. Despite the crappy storyline, it's still an entertaining drama.

I was just browsing C-dramas when I came across this. I always love spy movies and dramas, so I decided to give this a try. The number of episodes made me hesitate but I decided to watch the first episode and see how it goes. The first episode got me hooked! As I watched, it got more and more interesting. Before I knew it, I was halfway through the drama. The drama is fast-paced, not a moment was boring. The plot is quite unpredictable too which makes it more interesting. The characters were mysterious at the beginning. So you have to guess the real identity of the each of the character and whether they are the good guy or the bad guy. The soundtrack is great too. I would listen to it over and over to reminiscence some of my favourite scenes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this drama if you love suspenseful action packed drama with a bit of romance. I said rewatch value is 8 because the storyline is really well made that it was not confusing. So I don't see why anyone would need to rewatch the whole thing.

The main leads are great in this drama .The storyline was interesting from the beginning to the end. Every time the main characters bicker, it definitely makes the drama more lighthearted and fun. There were a lot of action scenes as well. The actress that played the protagonist was really good at portraying her character as the evil one that uses her poor background as a reason to do evil deeds. If you are a fan of Hawick Lau, you definitely need to watch this drama as his charm was over the top in this drama. I would have given this drama a 10 if not for the sudden plot twist at the end which kind of deviate from the main storyline. I would definitely rewatch this to see the fun scenes between the main leads.

Do we need another review for this? Pretty sure everyone agrees what a great show this is.

Story: Saying that the storyline is awesome is underrated. There is comedy, there is melodrama, there is thriller, pretty much the seasoning we need for a great drama. Then of course the unexpected twists in the plot to keep us on our toes (not literally).
Great cast? Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin. So, yes. The rest of the casts are great too. But we always care for the leads, don't we?
Music? K-drama always have great music, so of course.
Rewatch? Of course, who can get over this drama? Even not rewatching this, my brain is on autoplay. Random scenes would pop up when I'm driving, showering, eating. Pretty much like how you'd think of your ex when you break up. This is real.

Wait, still not sure to watch this? Maybe you could try Goblin. That's another drama I had a hard time getting over, maybe I'm still not over it either. That one has people with superpower involve, so if you're more into that, then go ahead. Once you feel like watching mere mortals then you can come back to this drama.

WASTE OF TIME

There are better K-dramas out there. Won't recommend watching this drama. But if you're curious why, I'll tell you why.
1. I don't feel the chemistry between the main leads. It's confusing till the end whom the FL going to choose. So both men receive lukewarm feelings from FL.
2. The villain seemed mysterious at the beginning but once we unravel the truth it got boring. The way the villain was caught was way too easy, like how did she even manage to kill so many people and be so mysterious for so long?!
3. The storyline/plot is ridiculous.
4. Too many cheesy and cringey moments.
5. The ending was stupid, using a public bus? What is this a comedy show suddenly?

I could probably keep going but I doubt people would waste their time reading till the end, so I think I made my point. Don't waste your time on this drama. I hope this can help people to not suffer through this drama. :D

This is the drama that made me fall in love with Hawick Lau's acting. He was able to portray sadness with just his eyes. There were a lot of the scenes in the drama where the character has to hide his true feelings and Hawick Lau definitely nailed it. This is the drama that makes you want to keep watching and every scene is important because there are hidden messages in them. The first time I saw this drama I was disappointed with how the drama ended because it left me wondering about the story for days then weeks then months. I actually got so frustrated (in a good way) that I rewatched this just to understand the drama and the character better. The soundtrack is actually sung by the main actor himself and it's so hauntingly beautiful that I can't stop listening to it. I definitely recommend watching this drama. For those that don't understand Mandarin like I do, you can get the videos from youtube and for subtitle from subscene but you'd have to sync the sub with subfix or other app out there.

I love how this drama portrays a strong female character that is a doctor in ancient times where women usually have little rights. This would probably remind you of something like Dae Jang Geum. If you liked that show, you'd probably like this too and I think this one is more thrilling because there's more drama and plot twist. The main leads are amazing in this drama. Wallace Huo acting as the Emperor that was charming and benevolent that fell in love was on point. Can't help but fall for the Emperor that was willing to do anything to help his loved ones despite what he has to go through. Also, who doesn't love it when the Emperor goes outside acting like a normal person and get into misunderstanding with the heroine. It's probably cliché but who cares since it's fun.
