Hi there! Since you have come across my page, I'll be giving you some infos about me and my journey with Chinese dramas. Well, my journey started around 2022-2023. At that time, I watched Korean dramas and liked most of them but soon after I got tired of how almost all modern kdramas had the same plot (unless it's a fantasy but still I saw similarity. Don't hate on me, it's my opinion lol). I dropped watching dramas for short period of time however, a friend of mine recommended me a cdrama called "The romance of tiger and rose". It was my first time watching a drama with lots of episodes, so I dragged the drama for a while. But I didn't regret it after watching. From then on, I only wached chinese dramas. Basically, that is how I got into the cdrama world. I enjoyed the comedy, costumes, fighting scenes and visual effects of cdramas. As for 2024 my top favorite drama is "Fangs of fortune". I have written a detailed but quite a short review about the drama which you can check on my "Reviews" page.

I don't like when a drama promotes a toxic relationship especially when they make it look like a romance. Yuck. Another thing I don't like seeing in dramas is cheating. As for the other dramas, I usually give them a chance up to 15 episodes to see if I like it or not. But there also one that leave good impression within the first episode. Here's the list of dramas that got me hooked within the first episode (and are good till the end):

If you're not used to watching long episodes but still want to give cdramas a try, I have quite a few dramas that you can start from:

Thousands of years of love

It's a mini drama (available on YouTube) which takes you 2-3 hours to complete which basically means you can finish it one sitting. It includes lots of romance and more sweet stuff. There are also misunderstanding however they won't stress you out. There are some holes in the plot but for a mini drama it's the best I have watched so far. The ending is literally eye candy, trust me.

If you can handle sad/open endings, then Fangs of fortune is perfect for you!

Although the drama is 34 for episodes, I'm pretty sure that it can hook anyone from the 1st episode. The drama gives off gothic fantasy vibes, but the comedy was a perfect touch for such type. The couple in this series don't have any kiss scenes however, you can still enjoy the chemistry between them, and romance is not the main plot so it's pretty reasonable. I'm not even going to start about the costumes and visual effects on this drama, they're just perfect. Friendship and found family trope were executed very well. Another drama that I would recommend is The romance of tiger and rose

It is a transmigration drama. Female lead is a writer. The story begins when the female lead falls asleep after finishing her novel and accidentally gets teleported to her own novel. The simplest explanation for this series would be chaotic enemies to lovers' drama with lots of comedy. I'm pretty sure you would love this dramatic couple 😅. Episodes: 24

This drama mainly focuses on Romance and music. ML- he has lost his ability of hearing when he was young and as he was an heir, he had to negotiate with lots of things and he could be replaced anytime if someone found out that he was deaf. Acting as a playboy was his only chance and in reality, he is pretty strong and clever. Moving on to the female lead. She is passionate about music and her goal at the start was to become famous. In the beginning, the time when the FL was playing an instrument, ML realizes that he could hear her music and after that he decides to take her as his private musician... The ending was enjoyable and even our villains got their happy ending. How though? Watch the drama to find out 😉
