I'd sure love to know what so many people love about this dumb despicable drama? You have our main male lead's ass(donkey) of a mother that is constantly so whiny all the time, oh, did I mention super controlling, overbearing, and over protective? A father that's as conniving and shallow and despicable as they come. You have an ex-husband who's just a prick of a shallow, despicable no good for nothing jack-ass that just doesn't know when to let go, and his mother, don't get me started on his mother. A hospital director who's a low scum of the earth selfish coward with no spine to stand on. And you have his daughter that needs an absolute most terrible and despicable attitude. Other than our love birds, what is there to like about this drama. Oh, before I go on, ass is old English for donkey. I watch dramas to feel good, not become angry, annoyed, disgusted and livid. Thank you to the writers for an awesome job at not knowing how to write drama's... I give the acting/cast a 5 just for the grandfather, our love birds, Jung In's sister and brother and his girl, the rest can just blow it out of their ear!!! Music was awesome. Rewatch? 0... I only give it a two for the love shown throughout what I've seen already, this is SOOOOO dropped!!!

A very heartwarming and touching story for sure. Everything about this story was very well balanced, the actors, I don't think they could have chosen better actors for this drama, the music score was really great too. I would most definitely watch this one over again. You could see the love grow between the two, it's just too bad they had to once again throw in a stupid love triangle for good measure, or so they think.

Had it not been for the dumb love triangle this would have been a true masterpiece with a rating of 10.

I was hugely disappointed with this one. What was turning out to be a great drama, didn't turn out that great. Once again there's a dumb love triangle. There's somewhat of a betrayal, not just to herself but to someone else. The acting was really great, so was the music. I most certainly wouldn't watch this one again. I gave it a 7 but a very low 7 just because of the acting and music, and for some of the story line. Just hugely disappointed in this one. There were one actress in this story that I have to hugely commend, and that is Ito Ayumi(Kono Mizuki), she shone in this drama, my hat goes off to her 100%.

Just a beautiful story. Only thing that bothered me was yet another stupid love triangle, that, and the fact there was no marriage. That would have made this a perfect 10 for me. The acting was superbly done. Aki chan just wow, for such a young actress, she stole my heart, made me miss my little daughter so very much. The music was very well done, there were a couple of times I wished they had chosen a different song, but that's okay. I would watch this over again, most definitely so. Yes, a wedding would have really made this drama a real gem...

Yet a rare find amongst so many despicable and shallow so called Romance dramas. This drama really portrayed what true love and romance is. Love is sacrificial, not selfish. Love is all give and no take. The story line was superb. Two children and one candy, you are one of the children, love really shows who has the candy, you or the other child. Inamori Izumi played the perfect part of Hana. She has helped to put a tiny dust particle of trust or hope in women again in my heart. Just a real sweetheart and bundle of true love and selflessness. That girl doesn't know the meaning of selfishness. We need more people like her in this world, men and women alike. Folks, you want an awesome drama to watch, something with meaning? This drama is the key, some real life lessons to be learned in watching this drama for sure. Great set of actors and acting. Most definitely a high 10, and a most definite re-watch...

This was definitely a masterpiece. What love triangles there were, the bonds of love between the parties involved never let the stupid love triangles really tear them apart. It was a true romance in the truest sense of the word. I really enjoyed watching the relationships evolve and just get stronger. Awesome storyline. You couldn't get better actors/actresses for the parts played. I really didn't like Kanjiya Shihori in this drama but she was more immature and she has really gotten better with age. I thought she was a real b**ch in this one, but all the others I've seen with her, she's a beautiful and cheery person, so I have to forgive her shortcomings in this one. The music, it was really good, there were times where I felt they could have used a different music score hence the rating of 9. I would most definitely watching this one over and over again. As much as I'm really superly disappointed in Ishihara Satomi for emotionally betraying her husband in an on going drama right now, I really enjoyed watching her in this drama. Just a very well balanced true romantic comedy, a rare find from Japanese writers. The writer here has a true and real grip on life. I highly recommend this drama even to my worst enemy...

The storyline was good but for episode 9 in my most humble opinion, personally, they could have done without that episode 100% of the way. There were two actors/actresses that I absolutely detested, and hope I never see them ever again in any drama or movie I see. Other than the two idiots, I thought the acting and choice of actors/actresses were really good. The music was really good too. I never really liked Konishi Manami, but I think she did a real splendid job in this drama. There was a nice balance of comedy and seriousness that made this drama really great. I would have given it a rating of 10 but for the idiot actor and actress.

Wow, talk about a real life experience. This movie was so beautifully balanced together, you not only felt you were flying on the Boeing, you felt like you were a part of it you were so close to it. Really great storyline, the actors, great actors, awesome acting. The music, great choice of songs. I'd watch this again, really great movie, funny but yet suspenseful. Just the experience watching this movie was a real masterpiece.

Other than the actors and music, this was yet another despicable horrible not worth watching special. I really hope they come out with a season 2 to this horrible special. They just needed to leave well alone and ended it with the drama in 2013. I'm not saying how it ends and I'm not saying anything other than what a despicable special...

The storyline was very drab, bland, and very slow. Not much of a love story for a title called, "Love Story". Great set of actors, was really glad to see Yuka starring in this one, she's one of the loveliest actresses I've had the pleasure of watching, her bright smile and super personality just shines through her acting. The music score was great too. The actors and music are the only redeeming points to this story in my most humble opinion...

A really great drama I felt, they mixed some of the history of Japan with some modern style foods. I found the balance between the two really meshed well together. Great set of actors/actresses. After watching a really terrible certain drama with Shida Mirai where she totally betrays her husband in the end, I really felt that in my heart, she really redeemed herself in this drama. Kashii Yu wasn't her normal evil character as she normally is in the different dramas I've seen her play in. It was just a all round great drama. The music was very well balanced, great choice of different songs. I thought it really deserved a very high 9 of a rating. I will enjoy watching this one over again several times.

The drama was really good until the end of episode 7. Why do the Japanese have to put in these stupid despicable love triangles, it ruins the whole drama. We all know how it's going to end, but to tell someone to believe in you in that you have feelings for them, then to sleep with your ex, I can't express strong enough how despicable she was in there. I won't watch anymore of this f**king stupid despicable drama. Only good part to this drama was the first part and the music. A most definite 0 in my books... They need to add betrayal to the genres...

In my humble opinion, yet another real masterpiece of a movie. Takeuchi Yuko has once again shone as she usually does. In her profile the Japanese seem to liken her to Meg Ryan. As much as I really love Meg Ryan, I really like Takeuchi Yuko more, she has a more softer side to her than Meg Ryan, and this movie really brought that side of her out. The acting truly was great, the music was great, and as much as the story is on the lines of fantasy, I think it really made the movie. Who of us wouldn't want to spend just that little extra time with the one that we loved in time past? A very nice fantasy, romance and sentimentality to it, a solid 10 for sure, a real masterpiece in my books.

This is the highest rating I've given for any drama or movie I've seen. It is almost too rude to say how great a job Sawajiri Erika did in acting in this heartbreaking, heartwrenching, beautiful, touching drama. It really opens your eyes as to the poor families and victims of this most terrible and cruel disease. Have your box of tissues ready because in every single episode, it really breaks your heart to see the emotional pain alone that she goes through.

As much as it was a very sad story, there was a balance of comedy in it to put a smile on your face at times from her father. The music was very well done, I don't think they could have done better than what they did in this drama.

I really needed to watch something to help soften my heart and this drama did just the trick to soften a bitter and jaded heart. I honestly believe this drama would soften the most cold hearted, hard heart out there.

It was a real masterpiece of a drama, if I could give a higher than 10 rating, it would get it astoundingly. A must watch for sure...

I would have given this a solid 10 had it not been for the jackass(donkey) of a husband. He really made it not so enjoyable of a drama to watch. In my most humble opinion, the husband took the beautiful right out of this drama. Otherwise it was an awesome drama. I didn't like the mother-in-law till the last 2 episodes either. Kusanagi Tsuyoshi did a most splendid job as he always does. He truly is a kind person at heart, and it really shone through in this drama. I have never seen any of Imai Miki's movies or dramas so I can't comment concerning her other to say she did a really great job in this drama as well. I think they could have done without the affair happening in this drama, it had no place in this drama whatsoever. If I am spoiling this a bit, so be it. Here was a beautiful story and them putting an affair including the way the husband was totally taken beautiful out of this wonderful drama. The music was very well played out and placed when needed. To watch it again? I would watch it just for the
I have never read a synopsis of Fuyu no Sakura that did the beauty and complexity of the drama justice. Many only describe the basic premise of the first episode, and all describe it as a drama that is very like Winter Sonata (though the similarities are only in passing). As a result, many viewers will pass it by, thinking it a cliched melodrama or a pale copy. That would be a mistake; Fuyu no Sakura is one of the finest Japanese dramas I've had the pleasure of seeing, and arguably contains Kusanagi Tsuyoshi's finest performance to date. In the years since it's release, I've seen this drama three times and have never failed to weep. There is a lot of pain in this story, but it is portrayed alongside the most selfless kind of love; the result is a complex, bittersweet tale that will alternate in the viewer a feeling of regret and rising hope. The events move with a fluid grace that can only be described as slow, but never boring. Every character has a memorable face and their personalities are deeply affecting. Kusanagi Tsuyoshi, as mentioned before, completely inhabits the role of Inaba-san until there is nothing left but the subtle glass maker. It's truly fascinating to behold. Music plays a role as if it were another flawless cast member. It is unique, memorable, and completely instrumental in perfecting each scene. It was such that I ended up importing the soundtrack shortly after my first viewing. This is absolutely perfect for someone looking for a mature drama experience, but everything about this gem comes highly recommended.
