A Low Budget Drama, But It's Watchable, Just Don't Expect Much

So, the ballet dancing is kind of mediocre. Even though that is the main theme of this drama, I was kind of bored by the scenes of the ballet dance practicing. The actors and actresses did try their best, but you can definitely tell the low budget really affected the outcome of the scenes. The low budget is kind of obvious. The transition clip from scene to scene was reused so many times, I ended up laughing when seeing the transition. Example when I saw those transitions, I'm like, "Oh there's that same person running or dancing again. LOL". They didn't even use younger actors & actresses for the professors when showing their college days. Instead, they just use the same actors and actresses, but tried to make them look young, which didn't work for me.

Besides the mediocre dancing and the low budget drama, this drama was actually okay. I like how this drama revolved around all of the characters, yes even the annoying SFL who does get better eventually. Each dancer or character have a different story background about ballet dancing.
* One who was passionate about dancing but isn't very good but is willing to learn.
* One who's great at dancing but shows no emotion. There's no passion due to being controlled by their parent all of their life.
* There's one who only sees dancing as their future and have no care for anything else
* Others are more focus on confidence on themselves or seeing their dreams beyond ballet dancing.

Couple wise, I loved the main couple. The fact that the ML got jealous so early on was funny to me because he has no reason to be jealous because there literally was no love rival for him. Once they got together, they both supported each other. SFL & SML does eventually get together. Their relationship was a gradual growth on being together. If there was more episodes then I'm pretty sure there would've been 2 other couples as hinted in the final episode.

The only thing I dislike was the 2 moms in this drama. Ling Chen's mom was too ballet focus that she treated him more like a trophy instead of a son. She annoyed me so much for the first half of the drama. Even tried the "break up with my son" trope with Xiao Chun. What's worst, she never apologized for not considering what her son actually wants and the way she treated him all of his life. I thought Ling Chen's mom was bad but nope, Man Man's mom (SFL's mom) was the worst. Putting her dreams on her daughter and couldn't even see her daughter was in pain, and then having the nerve to the put the blame on everybody but herself. Of course the only good parents in this drama was the Xiao Chun's and Pan Pan's.

Overall, average drama. Nothing outstanding but nothing too bad either. Dancing could've been better, but you can't expect much with a low budget drama. Music wise, I only liked the ending credit song. It's a still a nice ending overall though.

This Drama: Good or Bad? All Based On Your Preference/Experience When Watching

I would say 80% of this drama revolves around ML's (Do Ha's) life, 15% is about our FL's (Sol Hee's) and the 5% is for other nonsense (examples: bad mom scenes, psycho bro scenes). I didn't have a problem with the story plot idea, it's more of how it was presented that caused issues for me when watching. Certain weeks, I'm okay with the flow of the episodes while there other weeks where I was like, "when will this plot progress or why did I felt like nothing significant happened?". I'll be honest here, our leads supporting each other got me through this drama because there are just way too many annoying characters in this drama. I can handle maybe 1 or 2 annoying characters but this one had a ridiculous amount.

Story wise, it would've been 2 stars for me, but I bumped it up to 3 out of 5 stars because of a great last week of episodes and everything was wrap up pretty well. Good plot ideas, but they just stalled it for too long on the mystery part. First 12 episodes were mostly ex-girlfriend's psycho brother searching for and wanting to kill Do Ha. Where was the search for the real killer during those episodes? It didn't even happen until psycho brother finally went to jail. I hated this writing because they just wasted a potential of this character. The brother could've been searching for clues on the truth instead of just plotting to get revenge on someone who was innocent. Heck, even have him believe Do Ha didn't murder his sister and they team up together to search for the truth with the help of Kang Min & Sol Hee. We finally get some progress for a week, followed by going back to Sol Hee's story. This just felt like a wasted potential for me, despite having a great ending.

Speaking of Sol Hee, I wished the writers would've made her powers more useful for the mystery of this drama. Instead, we just get random scenes of her using her powers for work related reasons. I mean this is okay because she does slowly learn about her usage of her powers, but I felt like this was a waste and it just felt out of place.

The only saving grace about this was that our leads were supportive of each other. Once they got together, they stuck through it together, helping each other out. I'm glad there were numerous cute scenes together for our leads because everything else was a mess.

Acting/Cast wise, I can see where some people have a problem with Min Hyun's acting. There are certain scenes where I felt like he could've been more expressive, but that doesn't mean he's a bad actor. He does have his strengths in other parts of his acting. Luckily for me, I'm not really critical on acting, just as long as they don't say their lines in monotone blank less expression. For this category though, I mostly rate it based on the characters in this drama and like I said, too many frustrating/annoying side characters. I'm glad their screen time were limited but boy when they showed up, I just get frustrated with them.

Music wise, I like it but for some reason didn't remember it being played as much. In fact because of this, I don't even remember much of the osts.

If I wanted to rewatch this again, it'll definitely be from when our leads get together and then just the good and cute moments. Otherwise, just a 1 time watch for me.

This is one of the dramas where you don't want to ask "how was this drama?". There are just so many opinions. I say just give it a try and see what you think. I gave you my perspective, but hey you might like it or you may not.

The Progress of a Newly Gaming Company Plus Cute Romance Between Our Leads

The title of this drama is Sweet Games but I would define it as "Sweet" because of our lead couple being so adorable during their times together. Great amount of chemistry between our leads and the connection between An Ran and Yan Yue. "Games" because the plot revolves around the gaming company; the struggles, to success, to another problem, before finally reaching their goal. My personal favorite is the monologues each episode feature that either Yan Yue or An Ran was monologuing because it was something each have learned about their life, as they were narrating, since it revolved around their life. While it does have a few things I wish would've been better, I still considered this as one of my C-drama favorites for 2023.

Story:
What was great for me:
* Now while some people may find the gaming company part uninteresting, I personally like seeing the growing of a gaming company, who's creating their first gaming app. The success and struggles they faced and finding solutions to their struggles. I mean there's even an episode where it shows how An Ran met with each of her team members and formed her gaming company. It just gives you a feel of how important they were to her as she was to them and I appreciated that.
* The history between An Ran & Yan Yue: I love the flashbacks of their small meetings. It was cute even though it was just a one-sided crush at the time. Then we go to the present time, where he still likes her all of these times and for An Ran to gradually fall in love with Yan Yue, seeing that he's not just some young person with a crush on her, but a person who genuinely loves and cares for her.
* Great supportive teammates & friends for both An Ran & Yan Yue. An Ran's childhood friend actually remains as a friend and not a love interest. Big plus to this drama!
* Their parents while realistic at first questioning their relationship, also are supportive of their relationship.

What lost points for me:
* Yan Yue had a story of his past trauma but this seemed like it was brushed off, so he didn't have much of story focus despite seeming like his character suffered a lot in this drama.
* Hated the breakup part. This drama couldn't avoid the typical C-drama break up cliche. For how this drama was, the breakup part wasn't necessary at all.
* The problem revolving about the copyright issue causing a big mishap for Yan Yue just didn't make sense for me. It seemed a bit random in a way where it was thrown in there as a random problem. It would've made more sense to me if that finding the voice show, Yan Yue was a judge in, caused the problem for Yan Yue than the copyright issue, just because they were getting frustrated with Yan Yue
* No reason why that hacker decided to ruin Gaishi Unparalleled mobile game and other smaller gaming company. Like what was his motive for doing this? Just being a bully to new gaming companies? Make at least some connection otherwise this just felt like a random last minute bad guy.

Although there was this 1 particular English song I wasn't a fan of, music wise, it was great overall. Love the intro and outro songs.

Overall, it's our leading couple that stole the spotlight for this drama. I just love every moment they were together. WinWin's adorable smile really made each scene even more lovable, the important side characters were always supportive, and most importantly, a great happy ending.

Simple, Average Rom-Com, Surface Based Level Story

I finally finished this drama, a week after it ended. Honestly, it's not that bad of a drama but it certainly doesn't give me that motivation to catch up when it was still airing or continue on to the next episode. So, if you want something more in depth with the characters and the plot, then this drama is not for you. If you just want a simple rom com or something easy to watch where you don't have to think much, then this might be for you, since there's no breakup & no love triangles. There are evil characters in this drama but the evilness factor (1 - lame to 5 - pure villain), I give it a 1. I mean, I shouldn't even call them evil, just bullies, as most of them are rude/disrespectful co-workers and family members. The sister of the ML would be the closest to evil but even for her, she doesn't have the upper hand and never gets her way anyways.

The Plot: As I mentioned, the plot is very surface level based. This could be why some people found it boring. The writers didn't dive deep into details about problems each character had. It seemed like the direction was more focus on the comedy aspect. While they had good ideas on the problems for each of the character, it wasn't handled in a way where you wanted to know more about the issue. Instead, they just tried to make it funny. In fact, this drama felt more like I was watching a school drama except it was adults in their career world with co-worker bullies.

I like the cast but like I said, with the surface level-based plot, it was hard to connect with the characters and their importance of their role. Even the evil sister had a past wound that could've been healed within this drama but nope, it was brushed off with a last episode instant get over it. Let's talk about the leads. With the FL's character Sa-Rang, I never got that sense of reaction that she liked the ML's character Gu Won. It seemed more like, "Oh he likes me. I guess l'll like him back". For Gu Won, there was a scene with the grandma asking him what he liked about Sa-Rang and he couldn't even answer her properly. So, what was this connection then based off of? Who knows. Personally, I was more invested in the second couple, the airplane couple. At least their buildup of their relationship made a bit more sense than the leads.

At least the music was good. Nice osts playing in the background of certain scenes.

It's not a drama I would consider rewatching, but hey, this drama has a good group of friends, which I enjoyed watching their scenes and the relationship between Gu Won and his assistant is pretty funny. But besides that, just an average to slightly below average rom com.

I Still Like This Drama Despite The Annoying Things

I've seen my fair share of firefighting theme dramas and while this one isn't perfect and has a lot of annoying and frustrating moments for me, this is probably the better one I've seen compared to the others. To summarize my ratings, the story was good for about 25 episodes. Then fell flat the rest of the 11 episodes. Main characters were great but it's the FL's childhood best friend, the jealous reporter, & the good to bad intern were the reason the acting/cast category lost points. Lots of pointless characters or lack of character growth/progression. The music osts were pretty good overall. A lot of rescue/firefighter theme dramas tend to have good songs. Not a guarantee rewatch but I may come back to certain episodes that I enjoyed.

What I like about this drama:
* The ML's character Jin Shi Chuan & the FL's character Xu Lai both have a story that was focus on and both had a conclusion. It was a healing process for both of them.
* Main couple relationship was adorable and cute once they got together. Girl chases guy for a while but there was also a small moment where the guy had to chase the girl.
* Secondary couple also had a story (more of the SFL than the SML and I also enjoy the screen time of them together. Guy chases girl which also heals her and for a small moment, girl chases guy to help heal him.
* Love the brotherhood of the firefighters. I like how they are so relaxing with each other and love to talk among each other when it came to Capitan Jin.
* I enjoy the episodes when they introduce the dogs to the firefighters and trained with them
* The music osts were great. I enjoyed listen to every intro and ending ost when watching an episode.

What annoyed me about this drama:
* Xu Lai seemed a bit stalkerish in the beginning and made the first several episodes hard to watch. She wasn't much different from her childhood best friend who had a crush on her.
* The love rival for Shi Chuan aka Xu Lai's childhood best friend Huo being delusional thinking he has a chance with her despite Xu Lai specifically stating she doesn't seem him as someone she could fall in love with but just as a bro. Bad writing on this character since the writers stalled his progression until around Ep 29.
* Breakup of the main couple that lasted 3 episodes. The old, I don't want to be a burden to you so that's why I'm breaking up with you cliche.
* The failure of the 3rd couple featuring Huo due to the lack of growth and progression in his character and not moving on from the crush he had on Xu Lai after being rejected.
* Stupid jealous witch reporter: A minor villain who served no purpose in this drama other than to annoy the viewers. You can easily take her out of the drama and this drama wouldn't be affected. A case of bad writing and adding nonsense to a drama that wasn't needed.
* The anger from the camera man intern: What was the point of this? He all of the sudden gets bad at Xu Lai, who he was interning under, for something that's beyond her control? This is another case of stupid writing because his character wasn't even significant enough to be shown he had a problem.
* Another case of wedding not fully being complete because of a sudden call for an emergency. Seriously? Why do Chinese writers keep putting this scenario towards the end of the drama?
* Story plot stalled. Repetitive things happening once the main issues for Shin Chuan & Xu Lai were resolved. It almost seemed like the writers ran out of ideas and started to repeat things towards the last several episodes. Examples: Stupid jealous reporter returning to cause trouble, Huo not giving up on Xu Lai, etc.

The problem I have with rescue or firefighter themes drama is there's seemed to never be enough rescue missions. The writers did a good job showing it in the beginning only to rarely show it in the middle and towards the end. I did like the episodes where the firefighter rescue squad met and train with their dogs, but even then, there wasn't much mission with the dogs as well. That's a bit disappointing considering there's a dog on the drama poster. I kind of wanted more involvement with the dogs but it is what it is.

Despite all of that, I still enjoyed it, mostly because of the main couple, secondary couple, and the firefighters. Their cute & silly moments are the reason why I manage to continue this drama despite all of the other frustrations. The ending could've been better but at least it's a good ending.

Enjoyable Drama But It Does Have Its Frustrating Moments

When writing reviews, I like to write what I enjoy and what I had problems with. While the top reviews for this drama may be a 10, this wasn't as close to that score for me, as that would usually mean I would be able to watch it without fast forwarding certain scenes and/or not getting frustrated with characters, whether main or support. That both didn't happen.

So what did I enjoyed about this drama?
* The little boy Quan Quan stole the show for me. His childhood smartness, clever remarks, and the glue that brings together his mom and dad were the reason this show ended up being enjoyable for me.
* FL's character was a strong character overall
* Great friendship of Min Hui & Cao Mu. Even Xin Qi began to have a better relationship with the other 2 guys (2ML & 3ML)
* Xin Qi's assistant Hardy is the true MVP. Love his personality.
* The jealously scenes from Xin Qi were funny to me. Love this actor's expression when it came to those scenes.
* The scenes Quan Quan had with everybody, whether it was family time, or with his uncles & aunts. All of these scenes were cute & enjoyable.
* A very happy ending

What was missing for me/What I didn't like:
* As I mentioned in the pros about this drama, I love watching Quan Quan, so the fact that all of the sudden he disappeared after our leads officially get back together (Ep 23) for a good 3 or 4 episodes were disappointing to me. He was the star of the show and the fact that the writers couldn't come up with anything, I wasn't a fan of that story writing.
* Too slow of a progression for our lead couple: This is a 1 step forward, 3 step back relationship. Just when things start to get better, something always happen, deterring that progression on resolving their relationship.
* In the beginning, both Min Hui and Xin Qi had come to terms to move on from the past hurt and forgiving each other, but what happens? Another 15 to 20 episodes of these 2 still stuck on their past hurts and not learning how to move on from it. One couldn't learn about the meaning of fully trusting someone while the other one didn't want to deal with it and run away from their problems by ignoring the other. This made this drama so draggy.
* I loved the 2nd & 3rd couple but the writing for them is not great. 2nd couple is more of a love at first sight but they had a small story that could've been dealt with about marriage in the future. The writers presented a problem for this couple but just brush it aside as it was nothing. 3rd couple was more of a she chase him first and then he chase her back. I just needed more scenes to see the building of their feelings for each other and that didn't really happen.
* The bad guy was mostly non-existent in this drama, that it was kind of annoying that all of the sudden he appeared in the last few episodes and being the one that had the upper hand. Even the take down of him was sort of anti-climatic.

Overall, despite all of its problems, I still like this drama. It may not be one I would consider as the best for 2023, but it'll still give you a good time should you decide to watch it.

From Focusing on Love Through Science to Focusing On Healing

Most of this drama revolved around the title of this drama, that is until the last 8 episodes. The experiments, the surveys, the brain wave testing on what love couples do & see, this is where it was the most comedic for me. After that the drama sort of loses what it was previously focus on and turn into a healing drama from past childhood wounds. It got more serious in the last 8 episodes but there were still cute moments, especially once our leads got together officially. Though the drama lost its original intentions, I did appreciate the healing aspect of this drama, as both of our lead characters began to see how much pain each went through from their childhood to now.

What I loved:
* The funny scenes when doing a science experiment about love
* The second lead couples were cute
* Loved the music osts, intro and outro music was great alongside the English osts in this drama
* Our lead couple was cute once they got together and rely on each other.
* The characters in the lab group. Yes... even the glasses girl, though annoying at first, ended up being okay.
* The nerdy dialogue Yu He says to Cheng Cheng

What's missing for me:
* Actual conclusion to the relationship of Cheng Cheng and her parents. It just seems like that was never resolved and her divorced parents never knew the hardships she went through from their divorce since she never got the chance to express her feelings.
* Yu He's & his mom: Yu He got to express his feelings of hardship he faced as a child to his mom but there just wasn't a conclusion to this as well. It seemed like his mom finally understood him towards the end but a scene where she apologizes to him would've been nice or just the mother and son acceptance again to conclude the healing process of Yu He.
* More of an exploration on why Xixi's character is like that plus exploring her hardships from her 1st love along with more scenes with the 2nd lead couple.

What I didn't like:
* Adding a smaller side story featuring Lin You & Lin Ying: Last 2 episodes were pretty disappointing for me because of this side story. It didn't play a significant part to the story plot overall and yet, it felt like the writers wasted screen time on this when it fully should've been more focus on Cheng Cheng and Yu He and their healing process. Like these two characters were pretty much non-existent, only appearing in like a few episodes for a few minutes.
* Adding small conflicts to the side characters (2 of Cheng Cheng's roommates) are going through which lead to evil intentions. The drama didn't even dive into these conflicts well for these side characters that I didn't see why these evil intentions occurred.

Overall, did I still enjoy this drama? Yes. It was funny & cute. Though it does have its weak points, for me personally, there were more greater things about this drama that overpowers the weak points. I wouldn't rewatch the whole thing but there are certain episodes that I wouldn't mind rewatching again.

A Drama That Had Good Ideas But Writer Failed To Deliver

This is one of those dramas where I question myself, what did I just watch? While I did enjoy the moments of our leads from the moment they started to have feelings for each other, the jealously scenes the ML had, & the happy ending overall, the writer just missed out on so many things that could've made this drama a whole lot better.

The story plot focus could've been about the e-sports competition for the ML's character & the journey of being a hanfu designer for the FL's character, but instead, we just get the ML's character searching for his eternal star childhood love, which the writer didn't deliver well anyways because the FL's character didn't remember at all. She didn't get into an accident or anything so if it was that important to her, why did she forget about it? At least show some hints of the FL's character of a childhood memory throughout the drama so the ML's character could start wondering if she was the one he's looking for. Instead, we just got subtle scenes of him on the phone with who knows who, searching for his childhood love and I would say 70% of the drama revolved around the apartment life of Yu Heng & Xiao Di. Again, some great story ideas but the writers just failed to act on it. Most episodes just didn't feel significant enough to be consider as worth watching.

The characters in this drama could've been written better. SML's character was poorly written until almost towards the end with his one sided love, no matter how many times FL's character told him she only sees him as a friend. ML's character Yu Heng just didn't have any good character qualities for most of the drama. It wasn't until he realizes his feelings that he starts to be a little better and likable. FL's character Xiao Di was childish overall. Though she does have some good moments, there were a lot more scenes where she was frustrating with the way she thinks or acts to situations. Even Xiao Di's friend and Yu Heng's friend didn't really serve much of purpose to me other than just being there and being a complicated 2nd couple. Then you have this game enemy of Yu Heng, who you don't even know why he hates Yu Heng so much. This guy finds out Yu Heng's weakness but doesn't really do much with it and he's only in a few episodes throughout the drama and then the writers showed a somewhat ending for this guy. What kind of writing, for this bad guy character, is this? It just doesn't make sense to me the importance of his role. Don't even get me started on that annoying girl who was Yu Heng past teammate but also has a crush on him.

There are dramas where I could watch the intro & ending credit because of the music ost but this one I couldn't. I just didn't like the music personally. The drama does have some good ost in the drama itself but I wish those songs would've been the intro & ending osts instead of what they chosen.

Though there are a few scenes I do enjoy seeing and may come back to, definitely won't rewatch the whole thing.

There are weeks where I watched this, and I get a good sense of enjoyment and then there are other weeks where I'm like why the writer wanted to include this? Started off pretty good with the whole concept of this drama, getting to know the ones who passed away and grant them their final wishes but then they added some things to this drama (like the ex-girlfriend returning arc) that I just wasn't a fan and at times ruin the flow of what this drama was about. Though the romance was somewhat lacking towards the end, the drama does wrap up loose ends and show a connection for all of the side stories. So at least I can give points to that.

What I like:
* Some heartwarming stories of the ones who passed.
* Good osts playing just at the right moment
* Chemistry between the leads
* Good amount of funny scenes (a lot with the uncles).
* A bittersweet ending that makes you treasure your love ones even more

What I didn't like:
* There were 21 spirits with wishes to be granted but I felt like some spirits didn't get a full satisfying ending. Some stories ended properly while others didn't have full conclusion. I mean at least show each spirit walking to the afterlife, but they didn't even do that.
* The ex-girlfriend arc. I felt like there were too many wasted episodes on this. Nothing meaningful occurred with this arc and even the conclusion of this arc seemed very lacking, as in it didn't felt like anything was resolved.
* Turning a good friend to an evil one: Honestly, I hated the direction the writer decided to take for this character. It was a twist I didn't expect but also one I didn't like. I would've preferred the story where he had to choose who to save first and he chose his older brother instead of the ML's brother. Then followed with guilt and eventually a broken bro-ship once the truth was revealed.
* Just not enough romance scenes with the leads - After they officially get together, it just seemed like there wasn't many scenes of sweet moments together. Even towards the end seemed lacking.

Overall, not a bad drama. Despite some story arcs I wasn't a fan of, it does have a good overall message, treasure the ones you love. You never know when it's going to be their last.

A Cute Drama That Can Easily Be Missed From The First Several Episodes

Let me start off by saying that this is not one of those dramas that will lure you in with the beginning episodes. Other than being funny for a lot of the beginning episodes, it can be pretty confusing as well, as you don't really have a sense of where this drama is going until you reached a certain episode.

That being said, let me state a couple of things and you can decide if you want to watch it.
* If you mostly just care about the romance and the other stuff doesn't matter for you, then I think this drama could be for you.
* This is a FANTASY drama. So, throw out all of the comparison relating to real life.
* Plot mostly revolves around the novel world so nothing will make sense.
* If you can make it to Episode 8, that's when the drama gets really good and where you'll start to understand what's going on. I think the reason for the low rating is some viewers dropped this drama somewhere within the first 7 episodes.
* Most importantly, it's a happy ending

Story: While there is an overall goal for our lead characters, because it focuses mostly on the plot of the novel world, it can be pretty random. There's really no set direction when it comes to the novel world's plot so that's why for story it only gets 3 stars from me.

The cast: The characters of the main leads were good enough for me, however it felt more like the FL's character is not so smart while the ML's character is the brains in all of this. He always seems to be one step ahead. Great second leads as they are not annoying and have their own love interest with each other and good side character friendships and assistants.

Not much music here other than the ending credit ost being played a lot but I do like that song though. A potential rewatch for me but probably starting it from Episode 8 instead of the beginning.

Overall, another good drama to watch to pass time. Not too short or long episode length wise. It may not be an amazing or standout drama, but I still liked it. Ending was great and nothing felt rushed. I'm satisfied with this drama.

Short & Simple but Funny & Cute Drama

One has to remember; this is a web drama. It's only a 5-7 min per episode so you can't really expect much on a very short series. If you want to watch something with more involving around the plot or gives you something more then watch a drama that has at least 45 mins in each episode.

That being said, I enjoyed this series. It does involve messing with time or in this case a time loop but for me personally, this writer wrote it pretty well. It's almost to the level of my favorite time loop drama Reset. It presented with a problem and then through each episode our leads try to figure out how to get out of this time loop. I think it's pretty sweet when the reasoning is revealed on why the time loop occurred.

Lots of funny moments with cute and jealousy scenes. The ML's character is so prideful and bigheaded. lol. He thinks that he's handsome (I mean he's not wrong), and everyone loves him (he's wrong here LOL), which is so funny to me. The FL's character is just funny & adorable overall. She's almost like the brains to this, as it starts with her being stuck in this loop as she tries to figure things out.

There wasn't a lot of music in this, mostly just background music to certain scenes so this drama does lose some points for that based on this rating

Besides that, if you're looking for something to watch but don't have much time to watch a full 45min-1hour episode, I definitely recommend this drama. It's short and simple and gets to the point because of that. Definitely a rewatch for me.

Some Healing Love but Not Much Healing Food in this Drama

This is one of those dramas where it doesn't stand out but it's not bad either. It's one of those dramas where you just watch in your spare time or while waiting for another drama. It is an easy drama to watch as in it doesn't really give you much frustration, stress, or headaches. It's an enjoyable watch for me but still has its flaws.

Things that I liked about this drama:
* Chemistry of our ML & FL together
* Mature & short love triangles: I normally hate love triangles, but the writer actually wrote it pretty well for this drama. There were 2 short ones, one in the beginning from FL's childhood friend and one towards the end, the ML's ex. Both may still have some feelings for the leads, but both were non-toxic. Both were also supportive for our leads in the end of the love triangle arc. Best part, this love triangle arcs lasts for only a few episodes.
* Love the intro and ending osts to this drama
* A Happy & Sweet Ending

My issues with this drama
* Story plot is lacking: It seemed promising in the beginning with a heartbroken FL & a traumatized ML's past but the writer didn't follow through with the idea for the whole drama. Instead, it ended up being a company focus drama with few scenes about the FL's & ML's personal issues.
* Not enough food emphasis: For a drama that has healing food in its title, there wasn't much food representation in this drama as I would've liked. There were also lack of scenes where it showed that food provided comfort and healing.
* No purpose of the old geezer CEO pulling dirty tricks to take down Zheng Dao. This was a nuisance to this drama and really made me annoyed with this drama a bit. This guy pretty much got away with his evil tricks as the writers went down the route of all is forgiven after quickly showing a pity scene.
* Transitions from scene to scene have been out of place/random at times. It doesn't flow well going into the next scene in certain episodes. There was probably a lot of filmed scenes that had to be cut.
* Way too much company scenes and not enough scenes where our leading couple are together without the company aspect to this.

Overall, it's a decent drama with a happy ending. Main couple was great. Though the story plot had some good ideas in the beginning, it wasn't implemented well throughout the drama. Also, don't expect too much when it comes to the food content or even the healing aspect of this drama, as majority of the scenes were about the company.

A Rescue Drama That Started Off Good But Had A Sharp Decline Towards the End

If this drama was solely focused about the rescue team like trainings & rescue missions, I would give this a 10/10. However, as you know with dramas, adding background stories of our leads, romance including the leads and 2 other couples, and other drama elements can impact one's final rating depending on where the direction the writer and director takes.

I didn't have no issues with the rescue aspect of this drama. In fact, this was my favorite part of this drama and is why I kept watching it. I like seeing the training scenes. I like the rescue missions as they always kept me anticipating what's going to happen. I like seeing the hardships one goes through when volunteering including losing someone who risked their lives to save others.

Where the drama lost a lot of points for me is the last 10 episodes. Too much was going on and I felt like this could've been easily spread out to several episodes before. Also, I just don't like how this writer wanted to show problems within the last 5 episodes from finale which leads to a rushed ending, an okay ending but definitely not as satisfying as it could've been. An annoying & rude mother in-law which I don't know why the writer thought this was a good idea. It just wasted so much screen time that could've been given to our lead couples and their issues. Also, the lack of communication for the main leads and for them not to support each other and just giving up after encountering their near-death experience with each other. Did our leads forget that? Such bad writing for their characters. What happened to character growth? It's almost like it never happened towards the end.

Overall, the rescue mission scenes are what sold for me to continue to watch it. The actual plot itself was kind all over the place with so many content the writers wanted to show between the 3 couples. Because of this, the main issue revolving our main leads took until the last 10 to 12 episodes to be presented. Great intro & ending credit ost though but not a drama I would rewatch.

There are some things that are "BAD" but it's not this prosecutor

Let me start off with the good things I liked about this drama. It's funny. There are many action/fight scenes that I enjoyed. There's a cool group of friends that our male lead character Jin Sung can rely on 100% of the time. The acting was great. I sense the anger, annoyance, happiness, funniness, and frustration each character showed and to end off, the osts sounded great. Maybe not one I would listen to in my spare time but definitely cool to hear during the episodes.

Some things I wished would've been better
* The writing for Prosecutor Oh: I like actor Ha Joon but this character did not give this actor justice. There was no sense of direction on whether he was good or bad. He's supposed to be a main character but felt more like a side character. If the end goal was for him to be a good guy from being a lapdog to the powerful, then at least show some character progression. Show that he realizes he's been doing his job wrong. A quick 180 change doesn't make sense to me if we don't see a buildup change.
* Not much connection with the lead characters: There could've been a connection as to why Jin Jung became a prosecutor relating to his father's incident but that didn't happen, hence hard to connect and understand the actions of Jin Jung other than being crazy. No backstory at all for our FL so in a way I didn't really care much for her but she does have her moments in the 2nd half
* Plot's nothing new, doesn't stand out: Pretty much corrupted bad guys being puppets by the true villain, taken down 1 by 1 until reaching the final boss.

To summarize:
It's not a drama where it will draw you in the first half unless you're a fan of D.O. I mean his acting is great as usual. It gets a little better in the second half once the puppets and the true master mind gets revealed and the good guys have the upper hand. Besides the great actors/actresses and nice osts, there's nothing that really makes this drama stands out to me. It was just missing a lot of backstories for me for our leads & even Jin Jung's group of friends. An okay ending. Ends how it begins with Jin Jung being a crazy prosecutor.

Slightly Better Than The First Season

Do you need to watch the first season before watching this one? Well, only if you want to understand why Ep 1 of S2 starts like that and the flashbacks from S1, though it only happens a few times, mostly towards the second half of the drama. Otherwise, if that doesn't bother you much, you'll be okay as the plot is about the same.

I personally like this season over the first one. Though I still have to give the story plot a 3/5 stars because it's mainly a copy from the first season. However, there are some things that I liked that they did better in this season.
* Fang Leng & Fang Lie have a great stepbrother relationship
* Though Fang Leng still has his weaknesses, he's a much stronger character here and suffers less. He has more character personality here than the 1st season
* Xiao Qi, while she still has her dumb moments, she has a lot more smart and sneaky moments as well.
* Romance: I can sense more of the love Xiao Qi has for Fang Leng here than I did in S1. It felt like she instantly loved Fang Leng towards the end in S1 but here, it ended up being a gradual liking of Fang Leng. Also, Fang Lie has his own love instead of being in the love triangle with the leads in S1. Three couples in total.
* Xiao Bu has a human form and not just being a turtle.
* The sisterly bond of the 3 ladies.
* The evilness still exists in this drama but has toned down a bit
* Ending was way better than the S1. A picture-perfect ending.

Things I didn't like:
* Bad guys don't get punished for their evil deeds: This is still the same from the first season unfortunately
* Change of heart of the bad guys without any scenes showing remorse or apology. This doesn't make sense to me as it seems like they don't acknowledge what they did was wrong.
* Poor writing for the character Shi Yi: Either make him a villain or a good supportive guy, not in the middle. He had moments where he seemed like a good guy questioning his planet's missions but other times, he longs for power and his one-sided crush.
* Forgettable snobby girl who likes Fang Leng: This girl was useless as she just disappeared from the drama completely after being in a few episodes, being fake nice and eventually rude to Xiao Qi. You can easily take her character out and nothing would change. Not even worthy to be consider a SFL or part of a love triangle. Not sure why the writers included her.

While it's not a top 2022 favorite for me, it's still a funny drama overall. Sure the pervy scenes might be a bit too much and there are some frustrations within the first 15 episodes but still a decent drama to watch in your spare time.
