This was actually the first longer drama that I've decided to watch. The trailer for this made it seem like it's going to be a goofy romcom, which I absolutely adore. However, this show turned out to be like one of those soap operas with many unnecessary dramatic scenes. To put it shortly, this drama was about a super dysfunctional rich family + other character side stories, which looked more appealing than the main storyline to be honest. The focus on the main couple was very minimal, and that was actually the romance that I was looking forward to the most. Honestly, one of the other reasons why I wanted to start watching this was mainly because of the lead couple and the actors that played their roles. They were spectacular in other dramas, but I just couldn't feel the chemistry between them in this drama. Overall, this, in my opinion, was a bit too stretched out for a family drama, but if you enjoy shows with elements like backstabbing, lying and being dramatic 24/7, I'd recommend this. Heck, even for a person like me, who doesn't normally go for stuff like this, it was quite enjoyable.

Caution: grab something to eat while watching this movie because you'll be mesmerized by the food shots.

As a lot of people named it - refreshing, lively is what this movie is. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing with the eye-catching cinematography, but the story itself is very calming and warming. It's simple yet nostalgic. For me, it's probably because I'm also from a small town and I'm moving to a huge city very soon. This movie made me fall in love with the message it sent out - you always come back and feel your absolute best in your childhood home. The cooking scenes were shot with such art, I really want to start making homemade food now! The main character was quite relatable and she reminded me of someone I know personally. The lead female is somehow inspiring, to be honest. I fell in love with the simplicity of her character. The supporting cast was lovely too. They added the right amount of spice to this movie. However, I wanted something more intense to happen between all of the characters. On the other hand, I think that the directors wanted to focus on completely different things rather than a cheesy romance or failing to maintain relationships. That's what makes this movie unique - it puts off all of the stereotypes that you'd except from a Korean movie. To add to this film, the soundtrack was ordinary but very fitting and calming - definitely a nice touch!

A great movie to enjoy before bed, seriously. It captured the modern countryside life realistically and left me nostalgic and my head full of memories about my hometown. It's a "feel good" movie, so go and watch it! But make sure to grab a snack because you'll get very hungry!

Healer is one of these dramas that started off very strong, made me feel attached and addicted somewhere halfway and then completely uninterested towards the end. Many of these Korean drama series make us feel this way, however, I thought that Healer would be different, based on so many reviews that are urging to watch it.

I started watching this mainly because it's one of the classics + there's Ji Chang Wook in this, how can I say no after I hear this actor's name? I have to admit that, just like in any other Korean drama, the main actor swept me off my feet like always. On the other hand, I didn't like the way that there was sort of a strong character digression of the female lead. What seemed to be a powerful leading lady was actually a weak character. More about the main story, I enjoyed the occasional story slips into the past. They made the drama feel alive in some way. In my opinion, the whole story could've been completed in 16 episodes fully for everyone to understand all of the highlights and main points of this series. But 20 episodes is too much, it felt like many unwanted and irrelevant scenes made it to the screen.

This is another example of the fact that you might not enjoy very loved and highly-rated dramas as much as all of the others. But nevertheless, Healer is one of those dramas that had to be watched since it's a classic, but it's also a drama that I wouldn't rewatch ever again.

I'm quite happy with my choice to watch this drama. Not gonna lie, Park Seo Joon is my favorite Korean actor so naturally this drama became a "must-watch".

The storyline was average but quite realistic and relatable. My main focus became the character of this series. They're all so unique and I really enjoyed the strong female lead in this one. Kim Ji Won is definitely a talented actress and made this drama very spunky and full of life. Furthermore, the soundtrack was very fitting with the overall vibe of this drama. Would re-watch it for the comedy aspect.

I was really looking forward to this drama. I mean, REALLY REALLY looking forward to it. The trailers and teasers were so intense and made the series stand out among the rest of the 2017 dramas.
Even now, I feel wronged by my own decision to rate this drama quite high up there. I was actually quite disappointed that it didn't meet my high expectations. The story is predictable, not very unique but simply enjoyable enough for me. What I really disliked was the filming style. Now, I know what a low budget drama looks like. However, I mainly wanted to see Sung Hoon oppa's acting once again since I feel like he was born to play a prince charming/rich guy in a bubbly and cheesy romance drama.

To simply describe what this drama is like, I'd say it's "almost every romance Asian drama cliche jumbled up into a draggy but cute 13 episode cycle". Would I re-watch it? Probably not. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you are single and ready to watch a romantic story that you probably want to take part in someday.

I was a huge sceptic of historical dramas, especially when it came to the Asian history. I thought that this was going to be like those weird and awkward medieval films with poor acting and low morals...

...However, watching this drama was the best decision as it was spectacular. It perfectly combined historical, action, comedy and romance genres into a one big masterpiece. Not only did I become more interested in getting educated about whole Korean history, but about some of the cute actors as well!

Just look at all of those hot oppas on the posters of this series! Look! It was only appropriate for the name "Hwarang" to actually represent the "Flowering knights" because the actors were stunning! The OST amazed me but most of all the fact that some of the actors sang some songs themselves! I mean, every character, not only the knights, but the second lead character and the antagonists had a lot of charm and translated their characters really well.

I especially fell in love with Park Seo Joon. I loved his acting and I'm becoming more and more curious about him, so I'll jump onto this actor's train of dramas.

Overall, I'm proud to say that Hwarang was the first historical Korean drama that I've watched. If you're curious even a slightest bit, please check it out! And don't forget to check some of the interviews and the behind the scenes episodes, since they're a great addition to this as well.

I'm a huge fan of romantic and suspense thriller type of movies and dramas that involve court cases and the law. When I saw the trailer of this I was utterly hyped up and knew that I was going to love it. And I was a 100% correct.

The story had me drawn in since the very first episode. I had a heart attack from the main characters' chemistry. I mean, Ji Chang Wook is a gorgeous and handsome actor, no doubt. Even though I wasn't familiar with any dramas starring Nam Ji Hyun, she made a very positive first impression, which was more than enough for me to become interested in her, and eventually becoming her fan. The other actors were spectacular as well, especially the lawyer squad and the main suspect, Jung Hyun Soo. I was really surprised at how much I pitied a very dark criminal. The storyline wasn't boring at all and I liked how it progressed right until the end. I was in two minds whether to give this drama a lower review, however, I loved how the creators of this drama didn't run out of ideas and finished this series with a boom.
Another thing I want to point out is the OST. It translated all of the emotions and the songs were very fitting with the situations and the characters. I would highly suggest you not only to watch this drama, but to check out the OST as well!

Overall, a lovely drama that surely became one of my favorites on the list! Very interesting, tragic and romantic storyline with leave you with many different (and of course unforgettable) emotions!

As much as I would love to compare this to the Kdrama Something in the Rain, because of the similar storylines and the same actors, I will try to do that very minimal. I had very high hopes for this, but it all started going downhill very fast. The story was mediocre, and got even more destroyed as the main couple did not have any chemistry in my opinion. The lead actor was as charming as always, which I loved, but none of the other characters. Jung In mom's character also surprised me, as she steered away from the typical Korean mom image. The cinematography was amazing (explains, why it is a Netflix Kdrama), the English soundtrack was charming. There's plenty of other mature romance shows, I would even recommend Something in the Rain instead of this. One Spring Night did not amaze me, and I do not think it is worth anyone's time, maybe just for a light watch.

This was a spectacular drama! Probably one of the best Korean drama series of 2017!

Even from the first glance at the storyline, I was already in love with the concept of a time traveling romance between doctors. Two stories in two completely different eras, and two doctors who are both connected by destiny and their duty to save people's lives. It really is a series that can actually heal your soul and make you appreciate the work that doctors have to put up with every single day. So the story never got boring or annoying and the plot brought something unique and was a rest stop after watching so many cliche romance dramas. The actors of Live Up To Your Name - talented, outstanding and shining. The main couple, in my opinion, had one of the best chemistries and stories in the Kdrama world. The male and female lead are quite mature both as actors and as the characters they've played: conveying various and very strong emotions in every scene, they've really perfected their roles in this drama. As I've seen before, the OST stole the hearts of many who've watched this show. And me as well - the songs were very catchy, emotional and they're still ringing in my ears.

Can't believe that it's already over, I'll need to rewatch this sometime soon! There were just so many good feels after watching this drama. (Also, that ending with Man Gae, that girl needs a whole separate drama too!)

A captivating and moving movie about the modern history of the South Korean democracy movement. Difficult to comprehend that this movie is not fictional, and that most of sequenced events in this film happened in real life. I was initially told to watch this from my Korean history teacher in university, but I took interest in it myself. As an Eastern European, I have learned that the pro-democracy movements in the 1980s were based on sacrifice and the will of the people not only in Korea, but the rest of the world at specific decade as well. The actors have portrayed true emotions, and there were so many storylines of various characters intertwined with harmony. Even as someone not Korean, it was very easy to follow the storyline and to see what the good and evil were. Every minor detail, from set design to props, had mesmerised me. I did shed a few tears, but this was a great learning experience, and a very interesting movie to watch!

It took me quite a while to finally finish this. It just seemed that 38 episodes were way too much to complete this story. Yet again, even after all of the filler episodes right at the end of the show, the ending left many unanswered questions. Not going to lie, I decided to watch this for Junho, since I find him to be very talented and universal in every role. However, this just didn't fit him somehow. And the chemistry between him and the lead actress was weird and artificial. Second lead syndrome hit me the hardest while watching this, and I realized how the second lead male was just completely ignored during the last episodes. Now, to focus on the positive, personally, I believe that the side characters made this drama interesting and bearable to finish. In addition, I'd only rewatch this for the food porn and those beautiful shots of Asian dishes that were mesmerizing. Other than that, this drama had potential, but turned out to be too draggy and went downhill fast. If you're into friendship, bromance dramas with a dash pf romance here and there, go for it! But you will get a bit hungry!

This was actually the first asian drama series that I started watching. I'm a huge fan of the manga and the anime so one day I stumbled upon this. I mean, this series is so cute and funny, a way better adaptation than the anime in my opinion. I fell in love with the characters, especially with the relationship between Kotoko and Irie's mother, and of course, with Irie himself.
Definitely worth a watch and a rewatch since there were so many great scenes that touched me, made me laugh and made me "awwww"!

This wasn't like something that I excepted - in a bit of a disappointing way! You lied to me, I read the reviews and they told me that it was going to be a short, but fun ride with lots of cutesy and fluffy scenes! It wasn't that at all!
I had a really hard time watching this, it seemed as though my attention span shrunk to the size of a pea and I would get distracted so easily while watching it. First of all, the plot isn't all of that unique or though-provoking and usually, overdone stories don't bother me too too much. But this drama was completely uninteresting. Web-style or short dramas tend to have many scenes that are appealing to viewers right at the first episodes, but this drama didn't have almost any heart-warming scenes that would make me squeak. Second, the characters didn't feel relatable or, in fact, I could't call them "real people" at all. I only rated this drama quite highly because of the main character chemistry. They were both very adorable. Oh, and that dog too!
Maybe my expectations for short dramas are totally so high up there because of this one web-drama that I've watched recently, but this one isn't worth watching actually. You won't find many romantic or cutesy scenes in this one!
