This movie was actually recommended to me from someone, who is not invested in Korean dramas/movies/culture. Now I know why there is so much hype about the director, storyline, cinematography and the actors. This movie is, hand down, one of the best ones I have seen in a while. The story was so captivating, and the 2h felt like an adventure. It felt like watching 2 different movies as well, because of the shifts in genre. The symmetry and the cinematography behind it was spectacular, and in line with the characters. The movie greatly depicts the struggles of classes and leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat. The soundtrack, with classical music, only adds to the dynamics of the movie. There are so many things I would like to expand on, but it would only make sense if you were to watch it. Which you should do! This movie is a pool of genres, with great execution of the storyline!

As much as I would love to compare this to the Kdrama Something in the Rain, because of the similar storylines and the same actors, I will try to do that very minimal. I had very high hopes for this, but it all started going downhill very fast. The story was mediocre, and got even more destroyed as the main couple did not have any chemistry in my opinion. The lead actor was as charming as always, which I loved, but none of the other characters. Jung In mom's character also surprised me, as she steered away from the typical Korean mom image. The cinematography was amazing (explains, why it is a Netflix Kdrama), the English soundtrack was charming. There's plenty of other mature romance shows, I would even recommend Something in the Rain instead of this. One Spring Night did not amaze me, and I do not think it is worth anyone's time, maybe just for a light watch.

This drama is a very light romcom, for anyone who doesn't like deep and nerve wrecking shows. As one of the many people who decided to watch this drama because of the main couple, I was a bit disappointed with it in the end. I know I shouldn't mix Goblin and this series, as the couple of characters are completely different in both dramas, however, I expected the directors of Touch Your Heart to bring some of the character traits back, so they'd link both of the universes together. Just a train of thought.
In my opinion, this drama didn't have a lot to offer in story, the characters and the character development. It was mediocre at best. There are way better similar story dramas out there. If you do decide to watch it, do it for the main actors, as they're very charismatic.

Yet another adaptation of the timeless story of "It Started with a Kiss". This manga has always had a special place in my heart. I love that the Asian movie industry are recreating the same story for us, die hard fans, to discover again and again. This adaptation is not the best that I've see, really. I did love the cinematography and the high resolution, but the acting felt stiff and boring. They did follow the original storyline, but added some surprising changes, which I really like. There's nothing much to say really as this story has been discussed so many times. It's a light movie about school romance to brighten up your evening and a must-watch for all of the fans.

Slightly disappointed to be honest after all of the love that my fellow Kdrama bingers have given this drama. I was introduced to this by my friends, and based on the many positive reviews, I decided to give it a go. I felt like the series was all over the place: with many storylines, I feel like the directors and screenwriters had to think out of the box for this drama. Don't get me wrong, the story was nothing like I've ever seen before. The problem is that I didn't feel a strong connection with the characters or even the OST. I'm a fan of some of the actors and their other well-known dramas and movies, but I felt like they didn't live up to their characters. For example, the ghost, the chef and the shy girl love triangle was a bit awkward, not gonna lie. Plus, they didn't seem to have any chemistry at all. Overall, this drama didn't keep me watching on the edge of my seat. I think I'm being generous for giving it a 7, but the main storyline was a lot different than what I've seen in Kdrama world. So if you enjoy supernatural themes, a bit of thriller and rom-com, you'll definitely love this.

Mr. Sunshine was a fantastic drama! Just the overall feel of it, the cinematography, the excellent writing, acting and the mesmerizing soundtrack made it look like an out of this world masterpiece. I probably started watching this because of the reviews and because Netflix also streamed it. It's a great series for beginners into the Korean drama world. Plus, it's educational and a must-see for history lovers. First of all, I appreciate all of the effort put into design, costumes and the scenery. It did feel like the viewers were living in Joseon. Second, there were so many various characters of different backgrounds and aims, so many to choose from to be your favorite. Personally, the badass Gu Dong Mae and the fiery Kudo Hina stole my hearts. Not to mention all of the side characters which made the dialog and storyline very enjoyable. The only thing that I disliked was that there were no intimate scenes between the lead couple. Some might argue that it isn't necessary for a drama of this sort, but somehow it made the love story a bit unrealistic at times. Third, I've admired the interchangeable serious and comedic moods throughout the drama. The comedy lifted off the seriousness once in a while and it was refreshing. In addition, the transition between Korean, English, Japanese and sometimes other languages felt super sophisticated and alive. And fourth, I have to admit that the soundtrack was fantastic and now in my daily playlist. So many great artist became a part of the OST and brought in different colors to the series.
Overall, this is definitely a gem and one of the best-produced Korean dramas out there. If you enjoy beautiful shots, historical shows and good quality dramas in general, please pick this one up and watch it. It will forever be remembered and quoted by me anyways!

So many feelings after watching this! I can't believe that I missed out on such a great drama for so long. Hands down the best historical drama that I've watched: magical, tragic, inspiring and so much more than a TV series. It combines a magnificent story, history, visuals and a captivating soundtrack!

I've seen that people have been rewatching this drama multiple times, and that's what I'll do in a couple of months as well. But as for my first time watching this, I really enjoyed it. And I can't find a single flaw in it. I haven't watched the parent story to this, but Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo was an amazing remake, I'll tell you that. It made me waver between characters, I still have a hard time letting my heart decide who should end up with who. Nevertheless, this great experience couldn't have been so great if it wasn't for the actors themselves. The star-studded cast was amazing, especially all of the princes. I'd read some criticizing comments about IU's performance, however, as her first major role, I think she did spectacular and even more experienced towards the end. I haven't looked how the plot coheres to actual Korean history, but I got so excited and interested, that I've picked up a book to read on it. To add, the OST increased the satisfaction of watching this about 50%. All of the songs were spot on with the lyrics, the artist choice is incredible, but I was a tad bit sad that IU didn't have a single in her own drama.

Overall, if you're not watching this, you're missing out big time. This drama is one of the best historical Korean series in my opinion, it sucks you in and let's you go all sad and weeping at the end, but it's so worth the bragging!

This was such a rollercoaster of a drama, with many ups and downs, offering an awesome thrill all the way. This series was in my "must-watch" list after much praising and positive feedback on it everywhere. I loved it, even though it had its flaws here and there. Now let's focus on the positive aspects. First, I loved the strong female lead. Not only her as a character, but how beautiful she is as well. Second, the story was very unique and nothing like I've ever seen before. Third, I enjoyed how quickly the chemistry and romance blossomed between the main leads. As lastly, and something that I look for in every drama, the OST was magically beautiful. No wonder it scored so high with the fans around the world! Now, the only thing that ruined this drama for me was how draggy everything became after the schizophrenia diagnosis. It went downhill after that for me. The female lead became weak, the male lead followed in her footsteps. Even though the illness was quite unexpected and a plot-twist for me, in addition, the brother committing a crime was a big plot hole too. If I took anything from this drama, is to look at mental illness from a different perspective. But I don't get why the drama is so hyped up, there are definitely drama that are more fascinating and gripping than this one.

It took me quite a long time to finally finish this, I wish I would've done it sooner! It was a great drama to say the least, one of those series that redeemed itself towards the end. First off, the story was quite fascinating for me at least. I know, time traveling is nothing new, but somehow, I knew from reading the plot that I wanted to watch this. And the actors, definitely another reason why I was so eager to start watching. I did enjoy the first couple of episodes, but some of the characters seemed foolish, and the story was kind of dull. But the character development in this was something that defines a great drama. The love story between Dabong and Woo Seung was naturally intertwined into the main storyline, they did have great chemistry. Dabong's character development + the sweet story between grandpa and his granddaughter were some of the details that lifted this series from ashes. In addition, I found the OST to be very catchy, which is always a plus. Nonetheless, this drama was a bit boring in the beginning, but made its way back with a bang. It's easy-to-watch and definitely worth-while!

It took me quite a while to finally finish this. It just seemed that 38 episodes were way too much to complete this story. Yet again, even after all of the filler episodes right at the end of the show, the ending left many unanswered questions. Not going to lie, I decided to watch this for Junho, since I find him to be very talented and universal in every role. However, this just didn't fit him somehow. And the chemistry between him and the lead actress was weird and artificial. Second lead syndrome hit me the hardest while watching this, and I realized how the second lead male was just completely ignored during the last episodes. Now, to focus on the positive, personally, I believe that the side characters made this drama interesting and bearable to finish. In addition, I'd only rewatch this for the food porn and those beautiful shots of Asian dishes that were mesmerizing. Other than that, this drama had potential, but turned out to be too draggy and went downhill fast. If you're into friendship, bromance dramas with a dash pf romance here and there, go for it! But you will get a bit hungry!

This review will make me look like a bit of a jerk perhaps, but this movie was too plain and not that special. Sure, the storyline was quite unique, didn't even know that there was a previous Japanese movie like this. However, I felt that the movie was lacking like a backstory of the "accident". Wasn't a fan of the supernatural element in this, probably because of the lack of special effects. Personally, I enjoyed the cinematography and the warmness that this movie delivered. I'm a fan of the leading actress, but I felt that she couldn't get into her character. In addition, I personally felt like there was a lack of chemistry between the main couple. The child actor was cute though! In my opinion, there are way better Korean family or supernatural movies out there, this one was mediocre I guess.

I remember watching the movie called The Beauty Inside earlier this year and it was magical! When I heard that a TV drama of the same title was about to air, I felt nostalgia and excitement filling my body. But the drama had disappointed me...

I'm a bit generous when I give this drama 7/10 as an overall, but I couldn't give it less since I admire the movie too much. Just like many other Korean shows, it started off amazing, and slowly but surely went on to be a waste of time. The plot was a spin on the gender: now, a woman was going to change her appearance once a month, which I thought was a bit more fair, since she turns back to herself and leads a perfectly normal lifestyle after changing back. Furthermore, I'm a big admirer of the actress Seo Hyun Jin and her work, so naturally, I had really high expectations for this drama. I knew that the actress would still shine when the show went downhill, her presence kind of saved the show in the end??? But the main flaws with this series was how unreal the relationship between the leads felt. Also, the male lead's illness was the biggest wtf I've seen in a long time (way to go, Korean scriptwriters, you're very creative). In addition, some side characters lacked screen time and you couldn't really delve into their own little stories. And the biggest issue of them all was the amount of episodes. They just purely ran out of ideas. Example A: the last episode was utterly unnecessary and had no effect on the viewers whatsoever. As a big plus, I'd say the soundtrack is very nice to listen to. That's all.

So, before watching this, give the maternal movie a watch. I'm sure you'll fall in love with the film, then you can compare it with this show. I still don't know if it was worth watching with all of the empty-meaning episodes...

I'm a huge fan of these short web dramas, and as soon as I finished watching the sequel to this called Seventeen, I went straight to indulge in this.

Set in a Korean high school, this made me relive the previous 4 years of my life. This series is centered around what most students face in their every day school life: the beauty and hardships of friendships, stress and grades, first love, future career choices etc. The main group of 6 friends in this drama were really diverse, but I felt that some of them overdid it with the acting. To be honest, I was mesmerized by the lead female actress playing Do Hana. She made this drama shine and now I have a massive girl crush on her. Other than that, this show was quite basic and nothing new, nonetheless, I really enjoyed the cinematography and quality of this drama's production. The only other thing that I was quite dissatisfied with was the ending, leaving many unanswered questions and begging to make a season 2. Briefly, if you enjoy short high school drama and just want something light to watch, go for it - it's on YouTube, waiting for you to watch it!

It was super cute. I love how some of these web dramas are straight to the point, not even rushed in that short amount of time and how the characters are so cute and create the perfect chemistry. Like most of the people who watched this, I fell in love with the main couple and I'd love to see the main couple playing in a full length drama. To keep this review short and minimal, I'd say go and watch it as it's literally straightforward, cutesy, fun and gives you the 100% fluff factor. It's a light watch in between any longer dramas, the cinematography is crisp and refreshing as well.

This was actually the first longer drama that I've decided to watch. The trailer for this made it seem like it's going to be a goofy romcom, which I absolutely adore. However, this show turned out to be like one of those soap operas with many unnecessary dramatic scenes. To put it shortly, this drama was about a super dysfunctional rich family + other character side stories, which looked more appealing than the main storyline to be honest. The focus on the main couple was very minimal, and that was actually the romance that I was looking forward to the most. Honestly, one of the other reasons why I wanted to start watching this was mainly because of the lead couple and the actors that played their roles. They were spectacular in other dramas, but I just couldn't feel the chemistry between them in this drama. Overall, this, in my opinion, was a bit too stretched out for a family drama, but if you enjoy shows with elements like backstabbing, lying and being dramatic 24/7, I'd recommend this. Heck, even for a person like me, who doesn't normally go for stuff like this, it was quite enjoyable.
