Better watch the remake
I watched this just because I saw the remake, Something about 1%, and this is the original drama where it was based from. I wished I didn't watch it though. It was the old type of drama that everyone actually partnered up and the story was not just about the main leads, the side characters had their own little dramas as well. I actually skipped most parts of it.(Like the bestfriend and the cousin got married too, while in the remake, they hardly got together even at the end...The lawyer and the younger sister also got together... like everyone has been partnered up...)
Sorry to say but the remake was much more streamlined and sticked to the plot of the story, rather than side tracking too much like this original. But I know, this was the old style of making dramas back in 2002-2003.
This drama and the remake are 13 years apart, so you will really see the difference.

Worse spinoff ever
This is by far the worse spinoff ever. Either they should have made it good, in par with GGS1 or never would have made it at all. I dropped it but gave it many chances. I watched till ep 4 -5, then jumped to ep 12 because read somewhere here or on viki comments maybe that GGS1 will align from there...well, it did not and this drama is _______. Sorry, don't wanna say more bad words. Well, in tradition of me saying what I want to say, and I will not be a fake about it: GGS1 is one of my fave C dramas, considering its 41 eps and I hate dramas that long, but it held my attention that long because it was cute and entertaining. Then this DT Appledog's Time came, well, it definitely flunked in comparison to GGS1. Like read: Do not waste your time. I surely wasted mine.
Sorry to Hu Yi Tian because they botched up your drama...I know that is the reason why you stuck being the "extra" in GGS1 despite you being a leading man material because it was promised to you that you will have your own drama too...
P.S.: Why did they have to change the actors of the main players like Appledog, Solo, Ou Qiang, Grunt, Su Cheng...etc...that actually made it messed up that it already is...ugh
PPS: No bashers please, I am just telling the truth. I just don't want to mislead my fellow drama lovers that is the reason I joined this website or community in the first place, to contribute and may we have the best viewing experience ever! I, thank you!

Felt realistic
Just finished watching this drama which lead me on that it was a Romcom but turned to a melodrama towards the end....I also liked that it stars Kang Joon (from Are You Human too...you can't just get enough of him!)I agree that this is not the best romance Kdrama ever. However, it felt realistic. Like, the FL had a daughter who died so she definitely needs a lot of time to grieve. Like, it may take forever to heal... And it is not fair that she will just jump into a relationship with ML just because she needs comfort. FL first needs to heal herself, find herself and then she can be happy again...
As for the ML, good for him that he is just continuing his life as a chef, and furthering his career in the process, because when he heard the sad story of FL on Ep 15, he thought that he can be the comfort through the rain of FL, but FL decided that she should handle her sorrow by herself, which I feel is very mature of her.
ML is just really this emotionally sensitive guy that easily empathizes with anyone with a sad story. He is really in touch with his feelings, coming from a whole family with full set of parents, unlike with FL, who is an orphan and is just too distant from her own feelings in general. (except when she had her own daughter that she just gave all the love she had not experienced as a child growing up so when the daughter died, FL was literally devastated)
So, in the end, I must admit, it sucks that's its an open ending. But, for me, I feel that, the 2 main leads, needs healing...and probably they will come around. Since they have known each other for so long, there could be a possibility of getting back together....or not...I mean, it doesn't matter really.
As long broken hearts are healed through time...Like what happened to the brother and the FL's bestfriend. Its been so long since they are friends only, and they stopped wanting to be each other's special someone.
But in the end, since they are friends, (the brother of FL and the bestfriend of FL), they finally took the plunge and got married....That is what I see the future of FL and ML later on...since its open...this is only my imagination....only my opinion....
I hope that we view this drama with an open mind, not how other viewers complained about this drama. It definitely has good and bad points. But overall, its fine. Not the best, but its fine.

This is totally different, but in a way similar to My Wife is Having an Affair this week (they were competitors at the same time this drama was showing).
On the Way to the Airport or OTWTTA is just more deeper, heartfelt, heart wrenching and just plain touching to the core. It is just so different in a sense that they depicted an otherwise "taboo" topic into something more mild, not vulgar, but meaningful relationship into something more classy. If you know what i mean. Like, the topic is supposed to be disgusting and would make you mad to the core, but with this drama, I just felt everything was done right. Thus the 10 score coming from me.
The female lead must be the most patient and martyr wife and mother I have ever seen but then again, she was able to redeem and stand up for herself with the help of the male lead. The male lead is the most understanding, patient man, although unbelievable, was able to hold on and be strong despite all the hardships he had to face: the death of his daughter (although step), his mother and his divorce.
The husband of the female lead is unbelievably so un-husband like. Like, why would you not live with your wife? Why make her your wife in the first place? Is it just so you could shut up everyone and have a wife, but still play the field again (flirt with every other stewardess who catches your eye?)
The wife of the male lead: I can't really understand why you had to lie about taking care of your daughter? Why are you so pretentious in every way that you cannot feel how sincere and honest man your husband is? That is why you lost him in the first place, not just when your daughter died, you lost him already way before that. The death of your child was just a wake up call for everyone that it was time to move on. Like, you even sent your daughter out to Malaysia on boarding school? Why cannot you take care of you daughter with you there in SK when she is so responsible and not a little baby you have to care for?
Anyway, whatever my questions are, so be it. Just leave it alone. It was all part of what made the story so great in the first place.
And all the plots and subplots are what made the story on what it is. Like, how the female lead's "giving heart" and "giving nature" shone a lot throughout the series and that is what the male lead liked from her in the first place. At-last, he found a woman who is "genuinely" giving, rather that his wife who is just "pretending" to be a giving and a sacrificing woman, when in truth, she is the most selfish person he had ever met.
The female lead is just so naive and innocent, at the same time, experienced too in handling a relationship. I mean, I can't explain how the production did this. It was so mesmerizing from start to finish. I will definitely re-watch this. Oh P.S. I now have the biggest crush on the actor who played the main lead, Lee Sang Yoon. I liked the female lead from the start, Kim Ha Neul, since I watched her on A Gentleman's Dignity. I'm glad to have seen her again on this drama.

A Gentleman's Dignity - just started this drama which I saw that is available in Netflix. So it's convenient. It's an old drama so its completed and I can binge watch anytime. Unlike with ongoing dramas. Plus it was highly recommended as a must watch by some drama fanatics like me. I started watching last night, just on Ep 1 and it was great. I mean, no Oppas (younger ones) that I have seen before but they are more mature actors on it so the acting is brilliant. It is supposed to be the South Korean answer to the American show Sex and the City (my fave by the way). But this time its about 4 males. Funny moments and musings of the characters are on point. I will definitely keep watching this one!

My review after I FINISHED the drama:
Just literally finished watching this drama. It is one of the best comedy dramas I have watched. It also has romance in it. So its a RomCom. How come it took me so long to watch this? I must not be calling myself a Kdrama fan before when I have not watched this yet. It is the best drama with all the mature actors in it that is why they delivered the acting so superbly. Story was good too. Nothing too corny or violent or no evil villains here. Just plain comedy and friendship between 4 men. It is exactly a Sex and the City but told from men's perspective and less emphasis on sex. Maybe because of the setting too, its in South Korea so people are more conservative, which is more to my liking.
The music was not that prominent, unlike in other dramas, but they seem to be on point for the scenes.
The 2nd or 3rd male leads, the bad student and the son of Dojin contributed well to the story. Nothing too drastic or overacted.
The 4 female leads, or the partners of each of the 4 guys were also awesome. They complimented the men so well and the story. They had just the right acting. And they were all beautiful as well as their partners were equally handsome and dashing.
There was never a time a wasn't laughing at a scene. This just shows I was truly entertained.
This drama is definitely one of my recommended dramas now and I will surely re-watch. This drama is brilliant.

Just finished this great drama. It has drama, action, legal aspects, comedy and romance in it. Its my first time watching actor Lee Jong-Suk. He is amazing. I will be watching more of his dramas or movies. I also liked the noona romance on this drama. Its so heartfelt and touching. Its also so cool that Lee Jong-Suk's role can read minds. Overall, casting is good and story is right on. Highly recommended!

While You Were Sleeping - Just finished this drama late last night. It was good. It closed all the loose ends properly. It was a good drama with good writing and plot. However, for my part, I felt that the romance was somewhat just forced or squeezed in. Just to acknowledge that Suzy and Jong Sok Oppa were a handsome pair in this drama...Or maybe its just me because this was supposed to be a law thriller and I like romantic comedy too much. Either way, just my thoughts...

Its a refreshing drama to watch if you are tired of sweety sugary romance dramas. And if you are into law a little bit. It has lots of comedy in it and little action. Plus Kang So Ra is here. And that lead guy from "Lovers in Paris".
Started to watch this last month but got stopped due to some circumstances (I moved houses). Plus I am also watching this with my husband. One of the KDramas he agreed to watch with me since there is not much cutie romance in it.
