Frustrating

The whole movie is just a hot mess of communication issues. If everyone was more honest with each other it wouldn't have been as bad, but then again the movie would be completely different from start to end if that was the case. I found the whole thing more frustrating than sad.

The acting was great and I liked most of the main characters in general. However the whole plot did not do them justice. I feel like a couple of the side characters could have been brought into the story differently -especially the photographer who was the one character that made me cringe with irritation every time she showed up.

I wouldn't waste your time on this one. The Korean one I felt was better, but I think if I re-watched it after seeing this one I may knock my rating down a star or two just because I realize the plot in general is not my cup of tea. I prefer honesty even if it hurts momentarily to just living through a lie.

Cute story

Do you like feel good stories? High school slice of life? Stories about k-pop?
Then this movie is for you. The basic plot, without giving too much detail away, is a girl from the fictional K-pop group is in the midst of conflict with one of her fellow group members. She decides to move out of the dorm to start attending school again. She sees ML in front of her apartment and upon finding out he likes the girl in her group, who she is in the middle of conflict with, and thinks he might know why she is getting bullied by fans. She befriends him with that ulterior motive, but will she become true friends with him or will she use him and leave him in the dust? You'll have to watch and find out.

I think this is a good story that depicts some of the struggles a deaf person has fitting into the hearing society. Friendships and school aren't easy for any teenager, but being deaf makes them much more difficult. Will he be able to accomplish his goals and figure out his future?

It also depicts some of the struggles k-pop idols may have, since the female lead dealt with crazy fans, rumors, and pressure from her company. How does she navigate all of this and try to figure out what the best path for her career is?

I thought this was a cute slice of life that combined both the struggles of a disabled person and the struggles of a k-pop idol as they navigate high school, friendships, and their futures. Is the story fairly predictable, yes, but it was well done and an enjoyable.

Disappointed

I had high expectations for this drama based on the reviews and high ratings. Unfortunately it didn’t meet those, perhaps unrealistic, expectations. I thought the plot would have been much better with some adjustments to the timing of things and if they had done the latter half a lot differently. This drama could have been significantly shorter and told the same story.

It bothers me in most of these cross-dressing/disguise dramas that the guy that knows the other person is actually a female, but doesn’t tell them that they know the truth when they have developed feelings for said person. Just tell the truth and that way both of you can be yourselves and develop a relationship nicely instead of the guy playing along with the secret, the girl tells the truth, and then they’re like “I already figured out you were a girl” leading to a very stereotypical scene of the girl acting shocked that they knew and when did they find out. It would lead to much better chemistry between the leads as well, which I felt was somewhat lacking.

The acting I felt overall was rather mediocre. A lot of it was meant to be over the top, which I can appreciate in many cases, but in this case everything just seemed too overdone or silly. The accidental kiss scenes -I’m looking right at you. The male lead was definitely a stronger actor than the female lead, and he being eye candy was the best part about this drama.

I liked the side characters in this drama and I felt a lot of them were developed nicely, and it seemed like their stories would make a better plot than the main one.

Will I watch this again or recommend it to my friends? No, because I feel there are better dramas with disguised female leads to enjoy such as You’re Beautiful or Sungkyunkwan scandal. I’d rewatch those any day over this.

Watch the first, skip the second season

The second season was just blah. I kept waiting for some big leap in character development and something exciting to happen in the plot, but nothing ever really happened to the extent that it should.

The plot basically developed new side characters and made things complicated because the two leads just could not have a logical adult discussion human to human. The ending was abrupt and left me going “that’s it?!” I wanted to see them develop their relationship together after the first drama, since I liked that one a lot -the first one reminded me of a cross of Boys over flowers and playful kiss.

Save your time and rewatch the first season if you want to see something that’s cute and has decent plot.

This is such a cute drama although it does have a lot of common "cliches" in it. The plot was well developed and they kept it fresh by allowing some of the side characters' stories to be intertwined into this drama, which made it more like watching 5+ dramas in one. From episode 65-75 the plot did drag quite a bit due to some frustrating situations and lack of resolution unlike earlier in the drama where issues were resolved in 1-3 episodes easily. Other than that this drama was great with a mix of everything to keep anyone interested -action, romance, drama, comedy, family, friendship, food, gangsters, and more!

The acting was good overall with the two leads being excellent, a great set of supporting characters, and fantastic families to back it up. The only character that annoyed me and frankly I wish there were less episodes focused on Xi En's sister who was rather childish and annoying. Some of the things she did made me go "How or why in the world did you even try that.

The music was really good for this drama & I love the theme song! It always got stuck in my head after listening to it ^_^

I definitely would re-watch at least parts of this drama when I get the chance, but I'm not sure I'd watch the whole thing from start to finish. If friends of mine decide to watch it though I'd certainly watch it with them :)

The plot was pretty good and they threw in some interesting twists into the story. The male lead is a playboy college student that sleeps around with all sorts of girls. One day on his way home from his work at a "gambling" house the grandmother asks him to see if "she's" all right after the carriage zoomed past him and crashed into a gaurd rail. That's when he meets Josee. He likes Josee pretty much right away, but she really doesn't care for him and her grandmother seems to have mixed feelings about him as well. After that you can kind of guess what happens, but if you really want to know you'll have to watch it for the details.

I liked the quirkiness of the plot and how it showed that people with physical challenges love and can be loved too. I want to caution younger viewers a bit if they are considering this movie, because there were quite a few sex scenes, nudity, and more adult themes. Acting was good for the most part, but it wasn't stellar and some of the supporting characters were kind of weak. I read the comment down below that said the ending was weird, but I didn't expect it to make me go what the hey just happened here, and you expect the movie to come back on and explain more, but it doesn't. So in other words I didn't love the ending, since it left me hanging. I will most likely not rewatch this movie, because while it wasn't awful it wasn't great either. If you're looking for a mature (college aged or adult) and bittersweet romance/drama movie this might be a good pick, but if you're looking for a light and fluffy love story this wouldn't be a good pick.

This movie overall was pretty much your standard fair for a horse movie and if you're an admirer of horses, horse racing, or a touching story you'll enjoy it. I also thought that this movie portrayed some of the struggles of being a female jockey pretty accurately. The movie also shows how the bond between a girl and her horse can last. The thrills and dangers that go along with horse racing are highlighted as well. -if you know or knew nothing about horse racing this movie is sort of like a basic intro to the "dark side" of racing per say.

The plot had both strong and weak points, but they averaged out into an okay movie. The first 20 or so minutes was excellent and so adorable that I thought 'so far this is a 10'. However it was followed by some nasty turns of events that made me drop it down to an 7-8. Then it got better again with a turn of events that brought it back up to an 8. Yet at the very end I just couldn't quite justify the 8, yet again due to a turn of events, and dropped it back to a 7. -That probably wasn't very helpful, but if I gave you details it would spoil the movie. Just so you know this movie has it's tear jerking moments as well, and while it didn't have me crying it gave me a mild case of the sniffles.

Music was fine and the rewatch value is pretty low because although I would rewatch it, it would not take a high spot in priority. There are movies I would much rather rewatch first.

If you like sad, romance, friendship, family, and slice of life movies. You'll probably enjoy this one, and even if you don't it's a movie worth watching at least once.

This is such a sweet yet sad and beautiful yet heartbreaking story. It reminded me a lot of the American movie A Walk To Remember or the Japanese movie Tada Kimi Wo Ashiteru. In a nutshell the main girl meets the guy accidentally due to a mix-up and they start dating. The guy later discovers that she has cancer, and she breaks up with her even though he doesn't want to. In order to not completely spoil the end I won't go into more details, but essentially it's about living your life to the end with someone that you love.

This movie had me crying like crazy -even more than the drama/movie 1 Litre of Tears did- The story is so touching yet real that it caught me by surprise. I'm not a cryer and I didn't expect this movie to be as much of a tear jerker, so keep plenty of kleenex handy while watching!

Acting was great by all parties, but at the very beginning I found the main actress a little stiff in a way. However she found herself toward the middle and end, it made up for the bad beginning.

Music: I loved the ending song and there were some good songs throughout the movie. Nothing earth shattering amazing, but everything was ok.

Rewatch Value: I sure will rewatch this movie again. In my opinion it's a classic and will be a favorite of mine.

This review may contain spoilers
Okay let me start off by saying this movie's plot is not very original at all, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as I have really liked movies and dramas with similar plots.

This story was very sweet -a boy and girl start dating and then they find out she's sick (his grandfather had this happen too only he had gone away for army service and came back to find out that the girl had passed away while he was gone). However, and this is a big however, the plot progression was almost painfully slow and boring until about the last 15 minutes, which were really good. The ending itself was good, but a bit bittersweet just to warn you.

The acting was okay for the most part, but I just couldn't really find the "connection" with the main characters. Music was fine, nothing earth shatteringly amazing or annoying. Will I rewatch this? No, because the plot was slower than molasses on ice in antartica in january.

This movies is definitely different. The plot I found was rather slow paced compared to what I expected. For most of the movie the plot was pretty mundane, but had a few funny parts scattered in. Now, I didn't love this movie, but it was ok. I was also a bit creeped out by the older guy and young girl's relationship -yes it could happend and at least he was a decent guy, but still it was just a bit akward for me.

The acting was very good and you could "feel" the actors pining for each other, more so on soo-young and Ajuhssi's relationship than Ha-Kyung and Sook's.

There were some good songs scattered throughout this movie, but nothing too stellar. The rewatch value is poor because although it was ok, I don't think I'd watch this again.

The plot while not all that original: a high schooler forced into an arranged marraige with an older guy. It however had so much comedy, one liners, and just general silliness thrown in that you just get a happy, silly feeling after watching it. The main couple was just too cute with their bickering and how they helped each other out, the friends with their support and helping keep the sanity, and the family dynamics thrown in. -Finally a movie without a B-y mother in law, frustrating love triangles, and too many relational misunderstandings (what misunderstandings occured were resolved quickly and didn't ruin the mood of the movie). Boeun's hair at the end though -ick! (The "perm" did not really suit her).

The acting was excellent -Loved the girl that played Boeun, Sangmin was really funny, and just everyone added so much to the movie.

The music was fine, but nothing overly special.

Rewatch value is excellent because it was so funny, the relationships were great, and everyone was just so good in this movie.

Where do I begin? This drama covers so many different bases in one: single motherhood, affairs, contract relationships, family, betrayal, lies, and so much more. The plot although it started off a bit slow just snowballed from there. The last two episodes though just really boggled my mind with how many emotions I went through: I literally cried, I lauged, I smiled, got angry, was nervous, and excited. The ending as well had to be one of the best I've ever seen in a drama.

The bad points: The fashion and wardrobe of the characters at times was pretty horrendous, but otherwise there weren't really any.

The acting was one of the best I've ever seen, and I only really didn't care for the chracter of Kiri who was Kaoru's friend. Kiri could be such a B at times, but you couldn't help feeling sorry for her lonliness.

Music was okay, but got a bit repetive hence the lower score.

Will I watch this drama again? Definitely -it has gone to classic status in my drama portfolio. I can almost completely assure you that this drama will leave you with a fuzzy happy feeling at it's end and that you won't regret watching it!

This has to be THE BEST J-drama I've ever seen.

The plot was excellent in story and pacing, and only contained a few realistic "roadblocks" to their relationship. Although it's essentially a typical poor/rich romantic drama the script writers, producers, and actors just did such a good job, which made it really stand out from all the others. The ending was really cute too.

The acting was phenominal and the chemistry of the actors was perfect.

Music is rated low because although I liked the soundtrack at first they kept playing the same songs over and over which got kind of old. (I think they used some of the titanic sound track).

I will definitely rewatch this drama.

Where to start with this review.....

Plot: The story started off really strong the first half of the series, and the misunderstandings that happened between Leo and Yixun were beleivable and not frustrating. However episodes 11-13 were irritating to watch with the continued misunderstandings, neither party would come clean and admit their feelings, and her friend Xiatong kind of interfering with things. The last two episodes however made up for those couple of episodes. The ending kind of reminded me of the j-drama Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake, but with a bit of a different twist and I have to say I like Lavender better.

Acting: For the most part it was good, but "Maggie's" Engrish *shudders*. I was pleasantly surprised at how good "Leo's" english was and it is probably the best I've ever heard in a t-drama.

Music: For the most part was good, but the song Leo sang at the end of the last episode I loved!

As far as the re-watch value goes I would say it is pretty good because the plot was enjoyable save a few episodes and I can see myself just randomly watching an ep. here and there.

I have to say I enjoyed this special more than the drama. While the drama got repetitive with the going back in time, this had just the right ammount. The plot of this was excellent and I liked how the premise was helping to prevent what happened at the original wedding of Tsuru and Eri. I loved how this tied up some of the loose ends of the drama and the ending scene itself was really cute between Ken and Rei.

Ken's character changed a lot for the better. All the other characters as well matured and changed for the better too. I thought the acting in this was a huge improvement to the drama.

Ost for this was great as well and I would definately rewatch this over the whole drama itself as this has a good story.
