Watch it NOW!

I have been in a drama desert where I was interested in dramas but just didn't actually feel like watching it. This is the first drama this year that made me stop everything I was doing to finish it.

The story, the acting and the MUSIC is just astounding.
The premises already would make most of you desire to watch it.
- A handsome, black bellied, cold-hearted blind male protagonist.
- A persistent, strong and caring female protagonist.
- A second chance romance.
Although the synopsis drew me into watching it. I stayed for their story/acting which was made even better by the OTP acting. I cannot believe that this is Evan Lin's first drama - he is phenomenal and I cannot wait to watch him in new dramas. Wan Peng has consistently delivered good projects so her acting in here is a given.

The OST of this drama is on a level of its own, there is honestly no bad song and what makes it better is Evan Lin sings it. Makes the viewing of this drama much more pleasant but songs do constantly get overplayed (but that is okay because they are beautiful to listen to).

The only reason why it is 8/10 and not 10/10 is the way the drama dealt with disability could be much better. For example, I think it would have been a much better drama if Su Nian Qin remained blind, showing that disability is not an inability. But that is just personal opinion and seeing him enjoy life being able to see was a joy to watch too. Also there was some storylines/plot devices that started and we never receive closure for.

You know you're watching a classic thai revenge/slap/kiss lakorn when it's over dramatic, absolutely crazy and super addictive. I heard the hype about the drama during its airing, but I decided to wait for the series to finish and marathon the drama, and boy did I do that!

The story can be viewed as a fable about the futility of revenge and the path to forgiveness. Tor/Sila played by Tor was amazing as the abused and tortured pra'ek that wanted to seek revenge for what was done to him as a child. Sweet baby Jesus, Sila was definitely sweet on the eyes but his charisma and on-screen presence was unbelievable. He honestly carried the drama for me, along Aunt Mam (badass strong woman) and Sida (who was soo good at playing nang’rai, I actually felt sorry for her at the end). You can see his inner pain and turmoil over exacting this revenge, which he has been planning since he was a child. It was interesting to see how he masterminded the revenge, it was thrilling and even though I was vouching for him to win at every turn, the question remained.... is it worth it?

Mintra played by Fern is a new face for me, and I've been in this lakorn game for a long time. Min was the classic, self-sacrificial, kind and hard-working nang’ek; albeit some parts were frustrating especially when she was literally getting berated by her sister/mother and also misunderstanding Sila, but the latter did make for some good slap/kiss scenes! Min and Sila's chemistry was amazing, I think they're my new favourite koo jin! The height difference was swoon worthy, but I love how they "feed off" each other's emotions and make it electrifying. Min is the flower needed for Sila's stone heart; to make him realise that we should not let our past define us, because it can lead to the destruction of our present and future.

Overall, it is a good drama to watch! Don't feel bad when you find yourself hitting the fast forward button, sometimes lakorn have TOO MUCH prolonged dramatic scenes involving close up shots of the characters face! Also I LOVE the ending!

May contain minor spoilers

I love a good romance story, especially when it's borderline forbidden. But what nonsense is this?
The teacher-student romance trope has been done numerous times. Some are so damn good that you can't stop watching and some are just okay. I think the problem with this series was that it spanned 4 episode so there was a lack of character development and fractured story line.

There was something about the teacher Orn that I did not like. She acts all high and mighty but when the situation presents itself, she takes "immature" route. I think the reason why I felt no understanding of her actions was because what she said was completely different to what she did. And when things got difficult, she decides to "run away" instead of dealing with the problem like a responsible adult would do. It's wrong but why stay at the school when you know your sense of professionalism and ethics of being a teacher is undermined by a student.

The student Tee played the typical teenager boy falling for his teacher. Yet again due to time constraints we don't really understand why he likes her besides for superficial reasons that she is pretty, and possibly as a result of helping him get a lighter punishment for his actions at the beginning of the lakorn. Also his outfit during their "dates" consisted of Micky Mouse jumpers and Spongebob Squarepants shirts. I just felt completely awkward watching them date around with him wearing those outfit and in public places. How are they not worried of being seen by someone if they go on outings at PUBLIC PLACES.

Overall it was an alright lakorn. If you want to watch something mindless to pass time, then this is okay. If you want something more substantial that revolves around this theme, please go check out, Chugakusei Nikki. It is worth every moment of your time,

I love a good "forbidden romance" that makes me question my own morality and values. However, even if Chugakusei Nikki delves into that forbidden territory of a teacher and student romance, it does so in a realistic manner.

The innocence of Akira (played by the talented Okada Kenshi) who is experiencing the turbulence of being a teenager and who is in love with his teacher. For him, there is no consequences in loving his teacher because for someone his age - love is love. Whilst Hijiri understands that Akira's feelings for him are forbidden and can have severe consequences on her life. This isn't a spoiler, but if people are disturbed by the fact that she may act on her feelings, then don't be. Because she behaves the way one expects of a teacher who knows her student has a very real crush on her. She tries to distance herself and it doesn't work out. Akira's persistency and her own feelings break that fragile border between right and wrong.

This is a story of love, however more than that it is a slice of life. We as viewers are allowed special insight into the lives of each of these characters. We watch them grow, make choices and most of all live their life to the fullest, doing what they think is right. Thank you everyone on mydramalist for making my watching experience such a joy, and also aoihachi for the subs!

I think the individuals that would enjoy this live-action are hardcore fans of the manga. Also, I have never read the manga so my understanding of the movie was based on what was presented within it. The problem for me was that it felt like parts of the storyline was missing, and there was a severe lack of character development due to the time constraints. That is a complete bummer because the actors and actress are amazing !

I don't recommend for people that are not familiar with the material, rather maybe read up on the manga or watch the anime before approaching this movie.

What attracted me to this drama was the borderline incest. I know, I'm weird but there's something fascinating about that!
The issue I had with this drama was that nothing really happens?
If people are that worried about the 'incest' part, don't be because Haruka does not realise it himself that his actions are because he is in love with her, not because she is his younger sister.
I found Haruka so damn good looking! He gave me tsundere vibes and I love how he is just soooooo sweet to Setoka.
Setoka on the other hand is a type of female character I don't really like. Falls in love with boys too easily, but in  a way I liked her positive attitude, which is the reason why she is so bullet proof to males rejecting her love confessions.
The other love interests for Setoka were appealing to the eyes, but their characters were not developed well enough for me to really care about them. Yes, they are love rivals, but let's be real, I'm rooting for Haruka to get Setoka!
Overall, it is good and very short drama to watch!

I'm still in the post Reply 1988 aka Taek, so I might as well write a review about this drama that I've been trying to sell to my other friends to watch.

I really really enjoyed the entire story, and really loved that each episodes was based on a theme. Through this set up, the characters and story was able to unravel beautifully. There is also a lot of heart to the story, and what I really enjoyed was that it was more than just a romance/love triangle. The drama explored important issues about family, growing up and life in general. Not every episode was 10/10 because there were a few that felt draggy. Those episode really did make the 1 1/2 hour felt longer than it already was!

The cast absolutely fitted the character they played! I felt so connected to the characters that the actors/actress portrayed. Talking about characters, seriously guys if you don't fall in love with Taek well I don't know what's wrong with you or maybe it's just me. When he smiles.... I'm a goner. He is just beautiful! Okay, on a more serious note I loved that we saw each character grow in front of our eyes. I think that's the beauty of the Reply series, the fact that we are able to see people grow up and face issues that people their age still face today. It's a different era but I always find it interesting to see that the issues the previous generations faced remains prevalent today. For example there was an episode about dreams which made me really reflect on my life and my own dreams and ambition. It takes a special drama to make you think like that.

The music was completely nostalgic and I wasn't even brought up in Korea during that period. I can only wonder how those that did grow up during that time would feel watching this drama. It would definitely bring out many forgotten memories of their youth!

I won't watch the entire thing again, but there are a few episodes that really touched me so I will watch those again!

I recommend this drama for people who want to watch a drama that want to revisit their youth, even if their still in it, just past it or are way past it. It's a very sentimental drama with a story that makes your feels go all over the place, and endearing characters that make you fall in love with them.

If you want a light and fluffy drama where one does not have to think a lot... well this is for you!
I actually enjoyed the drama so much! The story was interesting but I wanted more then what was produced. What I mean by that is, I wanted more character development, which I believe was not shown enough through the drama. However, it was enough to satisfy me as a viewer who waited each week for the episode to air. In terms of the acting/cast, I believe it was perfect! The characters suited the actors/actress but they definitely can do better in terms of the acting department, especially Nakagawa Taishi who plays Minami-kun. His acting at times could seem very robotic, but I'm sure with more practice and work his acting well become natural. I didn't pay that much attention to the music, though the theme opening and ending of the song was really catchy and was on point! I definitely will watch this again, especially those cute scenes between the OTP that literally made me swoon! There will be scenes that you will stop and rewind because it is absolutely adorable!

I recommend this for people who are into high school romance and something fairytale like. It is also for anyone who needs something easy to watch if their watching "heavy" dramas, this drama will be a breath of fresh air for you people!

Are you looking for a short drama that makes your heart clutch due to the leading couple and the story?
This is the drama for you!

I really cannot begin to implore how great this drama was, and I am saddened that it was only a measly two episode! I love the premises of time travel and a love that stretched boundaries. The fact that this drama was able to produce such deep emotions from me despite being only 2 episodes says a lot about the story, acting and directing of the drama. I just want to stress that you don't feel like the drama is rushed at all and it's paced in a way that shows the viewers that the relationship between the characters are developing at a steady and realistic pace.
It was also absolutely beautiful to look at and I really need to see Seul Gi and Doo Joon acting in a drama together again!

I really enjoyed watching this lakorn, and would really love to see Pinky and Weir act together again! Their chemistry was so awesome!

I guess to some this is lakorn really is overly dramatic, and I agree with that. The storyline takes many twists and turns, your mind is just going WHAT WHAT WHAT all the time. Sometimes you want to just tell Bow (Pinky) to calm down and just SEE WHAT SHE HAS IN FRONT OF HER! Then there Tos (Weir) who loves his sister a lot and would do ANYTHING for her. But then Bow comes along and he falls in love with her at first sight. He is the perfect P'ek (lead guy). Jealous, irrational, caveman and sweet as cotton. I'm not lying when I say he is CRAZY for Bow, really CRAZY. Some of the stuff he did to her I was not a happy viewer but at the end it was all good. I LOVED it when he smiled at her and calls her tee ruk (darling/my love) its so freaking adorable!

The side characters do get annoying. Some her there for comic relief and some are there to cause you so much HATRED and ANGER that you REALLY WANT TO GO INTO THAT SCREEN OF YOURS AND SLAP THE CRAP OUTTA THEM BECAUE THEIR SO ANNOYING!

It's a very entertaining drama to watch and definitely has all the elements of a thai lakorn. I would recommend you to watch a few episodes and give it a try, especially if your new to lakorns. The main soundtrack in this is STUNNING, when I heard it I literally played it on repeat for months.

There is a reason why this movie has such high ratings. It's not just a movie but a piece of art that seriously touches you deep within.

The premises is simple - an intellectually disabled father is found guilty for a murder that he didn't commit and throughout it all his daughter, Ye Seung stuck by him. He is sentence to prison and placed in Cell no. 7 with inmates. He is treated badly at first because of the fact that he was charged with the murder and rape of a child. Though as the story progresses people begin to realise that a guy like this couldn't have possibly done something atrocious as that!

What I see and feel in this movies is just love in the purest kind. Their father and daughter bond was for me the driving force of the story.
There were times when I felt so much anger for the injustice.
Times when I laughed my ass off because it was so damn hilarious!
Times when I cried my heart out because of the beauty of the story, the characters and the unbelievably heart warming relationship.

My sister and I watched it together and we literally used up the entire box of tissue! I recommend everyone to watch it because it is just such an amazing story and the feels are OVER THE ROOF!

Story:
I immensely enjoyed the story. It gave me a view of what school life is in Korea. There is so much different between Korean & Australian high school that I was actually surprised. In Australia our grades are not just based on our results from exams but also through participation & co-operation in class.

What I found really amusing was that teachers & student could contact each other through personal mobile. That kind of communication is not allowed here, if the teacher wanted to contact us they have to go through the school and do it. That was kind of a cultural shock for me.

There is no doubt stereotypes of bullies played out in this drama. Not all bullies come from a poor family or have problems at home. I hate to admit it, some bullies don't change even as an adult. Despite that fact, the drama does show that bullies can change bit by bit. It's a good thing but it doesn't necessarily reflect real life.

Even though I enjoyed the story, I don't like how fast it went on the last episode. I feel like this drama should have been extended, it needed to be extended! It felt so rushed.

Acting/Cast:
How good was the cast! Everyone played their role so damn well! The bromance between Nam Soon & Heung Soon just highlighted this drama for me.

Music:
I wasn't really paying attention to the music until the last episode.

Rewatch Value:
I would want to watch it again a second time. There might be things that I missed!

Overall:
This drama is different from a lot of dramas I've watched. It feels like a Japanese drama because its based ons school life and deals with real issues facing teens today. I'm like a romance junkie and for me to watch this type of dramas is rare. Even though there is no romance, there are inklings of romance starting to bloom (Nam Soon & Ha Kyung; Teacher Chan & Jang) which will satisfy you. It's a drama that deals with issues faced in society today. It makes you question yourself (if you attend school), Why do you go to school?

*Ladies and gentlemen please be warned that you need a tissue box near you when you watch this movie. It is a necessity. And also prepare to look like a mess. *

Story:
You don't understand how amazing this movie is. To people who have viewed others who went to jail with disgust or contempt. Young lady/man you better go and watch this. It will change your thoughts/feelings on this matter. The theme of this movie is not a light one. But the director made it work. A woman who is convicted of manslaughter for accidently killing her abusive husband. Gives birth in jail and chooses to raise her baby boy, Min Woo. But heres the catch, she can only keep him for 18 months. Then afterwards he is sent to adoption. Seriously she made the right choice. You should see the baby boy (absolutely gorgeous), his always smiling and filled with life. There's also the inmates, each with their own story to tell.

Acting/Cast:
The acting was perfection. Whoever played the role for baby Min Woo is the best! I'm a sucker for babies!
Kim Yoon Jin is such an azmazing actress. Her betrayal of Jeong Hye is flawless. I could not imagine someone else even playing the role. She's a woman who loves her baby boy above everything and anything. I love her.
Na Moon Hee, Lee Da Hee, Kang Ye Won, Jung Soo Young, Park Jun Myun are all very commendable actresses. There are others as well but their the main ones. Everyone had this atmosphere, where they feed of each others energy. It was amazing!

Music:
*tears* When they all sang together, I felt like angels were singing. Especially the ending songs, I couldn't stop crying. Music is a very important part of this film.

Rewatch:
You must be all wondering why on earth I haven't given a 10 for this. There is only one reason, I don't want to have another cry fest.

Overall:
10/10. What is there more to say. Except GO AND WATCH IT NOW!

OMG What a little gem of a movie.
L.O.V.E.D it.

Story:
It was nothing I've never seen before, well except the fact that the child was his Granpa's illegitimate kid (that is really awkward). Nevertheless it was still a very very enjoyable movie to watch. I loved that he took her in when no one else would and then the next morning his like, "WHAT THE HELL did I get myself into." Unlike most in his situation he didn't give up, he kept going on. And the child, Rin was just gorgeous. She was shy at first, like a flower that is struggling to bloom. To see her start opening up throughout the movie and bloom to a gorgeous little flower was just so heart-warming.

Acting:
*CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP* Amazing! Matsuyama Kenichi, I seen him in Death Note and he is just gorgeous. When you see his name in a movie, you know that you will receive quality and the movie (well the acting side) would be flawless. He acted as the perfect 30 year old guy, who decide to take custody of the child. He really adapted himself well into the situation. Seeing him sacrifice his job so he can spend more time with her, the smile he gives her, the raw emotion of hwne he thought he lost her. That was seriously amazing.
Ashida Mana, she is going to be BIG when she;s older. Her acting skills was top, from the sad lonely young girl to a happy, smiling one. The pure joy in her face when she's with him, the fear in her face when he leaves her in the nursery school because she believes he would not come back for her. I have not flaws to point out.
The vibe between Matsuyama and Ashida was bloody awesome. You really did feel like they were father and daughter.
The other actors/actresses were really great as well, especially that young boy who acted as Khouki (Rin's friend).

Music:
I really didn't pay attention to the music, I guess it was good because music does aid in the creation of the atmosphere/mood of the film. The only piece of music I remembered was this german(?) one. It was so absurd to hear that in a Japanese movie.

Rewatch Value:
I would rewatch it any day. So heart warming :3

Overall:
You, reading this review better add this into your plan-to-watch dramalist or better, go watch it. It is a movie that would make you feel warm and fuzzy. The acting is amazing and the story was great. Just go watch it! GOGOGOGOGO

Who knew that a small incident would lead these two lovable characters into a journey which changes both their lives for the better.

Story:
I L.O.V.E.D the girl. She's so tough, I mean the way she acts. Though there's a deep sadness within her, she tries to hide it with a cheery smile that does not fool our dear Gyeon Woo. It's also different from what I ever watched and I enjoyed it a lot! Seriously I never laughed so hard. There were particular scenes that cracked me up, there's this one where honestly I couldn't breathe because I was laughing so hard.

Acting:
*Nods head and smile* It is flawless. It's like Cha Tae Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun were made to play the lead roles in this movie. I loved Gyeon Woo's mother, always hitting him. In saying that all the girls in his life are always hitting him, poor thing. Jun Ji Hyun plays 'The Sassy Girl' (I just realised that he never referenced her name O.O). She played the abusive, easily drunk, tough, cute, delicate, gorgeous girl. I need to watch more movies with her in it.

Music:
Is it just me or Director Yann Samuell really really loves Canon D Majoy by Pachelbel. I watched his other movie called 'Classic' and the same instrumental piece was played throughout the movie. I'm not complaining, it's more like an observation.

Rewatch:
I sure as hell would rewatch this. It's soo funny,

Overall:
I LOVED IT. I know why people keep telling me to watch the movie. Everything made sense at the end and this movie really made me believe in DESTINY ~
