I believe you must know that Shui Long Yin targets and caters to the male-audience. It may go for a wider audience but it would still not be for the audience that watches romance dramas. If someone asks about something then they should be answered with the correct information, since it’s highly unlikely for romance to be there so how difficult is it to answer them with, "we do not know if there will be romance or not and wait for the drama"

The Main character, that is Tang Lici (唐俪辞) played by Luo Yunxi (罗云熙), does not have any kind of loveline with any character in the drama titled Shui Long Yin/The Dragon Chant. And let us be real, does the drama not having any romance or lovelines make it any less valuable? Why does everything need to have romance in it? Dramas without romance or lovelines do exist and Shui Long Yin is one of them.
The book and the drama are the two separate works and should be looked upon as such. It is okay for an adaptation to be different, to not be faithful to the original source, it is quite common in c-ent.
