This is my first favorite drama. Because of this I became a fan of Yonghwa and I became addicted to watch kdramas. This drama is cute. Yonghwa is a typical cold loverboy, he portrays his role very well. Shin Hye cannot really kiss, that is one thing I want her to improve, to be more natural in kissing scenes.

Childish and disappointing

Childish comedy about an extremely fat, kind-hearted but also very stupid woman who decides to marry a man she loves without thinking that he is not in love with her. When she realizes the situation, she decides to shed weight and puts on a brave effort. But the ending will leave you seething with anger and disappointment. Not that the rest of it, full of silliness and cringe-worthy slapstick, is anything worth spending one hour of your precious life for. I sincerely regret it: cleaning behind the refrigerator would have been much more enjoyable, and it would have left me with a sweet sense of achievement, whereas this has left me grumpy and irritable for having wasted my time. Ugh!

Worth it watch DW

This series grabbed mainly because of Dylan Wang!! however, after i got into it a bit more it was really good, the story line was a bit on the dragging side, but DW looked super duper HOT in all aspects of this series, especially in his general armor.

The second ML and FL were really good, for a first in a series I think this ML was really excellent and he really complemented DW in every way, they were both serious aloof demons and both first time experiencing love and warmth from there partners. I especially loved the FL (bird demon) she brought life to the series and was really good there love story was really well played and the complemented each other. Not only that second ML was also a super duper Hot guy and I loved the interaction between him and DW.

I didn't particular like the main FL, she didn't come across really well, and her character was kind of flawed considering she kept dying and being brought back to life. i personally think the second FL was well suited for the Main lead as well.

DW love was really touching and strong, and his costumes as Dragon King was well played, the graphics were really good as well, I loved him in this series, I really hope he does a series in a general suit cuz the man looked super good, then again throughout this series DW was exceptional, I honestly don't think I would have watched this series he wasn't in it he deserves an award for pulling this off.

As always we have the Immortal fate who turned evil, he was evil in The Untamed and got killed by Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo and he was evil in this series and killed by Dylan Wang!! Three exceptional hot men killed the same guy (LOL) love that!!

Overall this series is really good, in terms of music/Dylan Wang/ Deng Wei/ and the graphics all involved.

Not a rewatch!

I really didn’t like the drama. The relationship between the main couple seemed more like lust then love. They really didn’t take time to get to know each other at all. They had their first kiss in the 2nd episode and just fell into bed. While they’re in bed he tells her he loves her. So fast. Not a tender loving relationship at all. It seemed rushed. Ji Chang Wooks character seemed to be so needy and emotional. Her character was confused and lost the whole drama. In the end when the couple gets back together I couldn’t help but feel that it just wasn’t right. It seemed liked they were going down the same path all over again. It was supposedly their first date after getting back together and they were already falling all over each other. For some reason this drama turned me off wanting to watch Ji Chang Wooks dramas. This drama seemed so out of character for him. It almost seemed trashy. No romance at all. Sorry folks just my opinion.

My first ever BL and got me hooked !

No need to expect Oscar worthy storyline and acting, you just need a light romcom that can make you warm and fuzzy, that’s all.
The story itself is easy to follow and still make me wonder what will happen next. That’s enough for me to got me hooked.
The acting could be better but this is BL what do u expect? What’s important for me is the chemistry, and boy oh boy, both Bright and Win deliver such great chemistry no doubt!
The music IS PERFECT !!! I really like the soundtracks and how they put music in each scene. Scrubb has many great songs.
Overall, I’ve been watching rerun for quite sometime now, waiting for the special episodes. Each sweet moments in this series just make me wanting for more ❤️

It may be drawn out 4 some or cheesey. But I'm living it. The 2 guys r ???? HOT ????. I'm disappointed it wobt alliw me to rate ea stat any higher but 1 star. It sucks. I'm certain thats why the rating over all is low due to it not allowing u 2 rate correctly. Its a great drama. Guys r hot and if u can c urself n a relationship like this u can invasion urself n the drama.

Heavily scripted drama that will give you a whiplash

I can see why there was so much hype around this k-drama when it was first released. It was quite different to your typical parcel of k-dramas being released and the main leads definitely got the netizens talking. However, watching the show a few months after it finished its run, the rose tinted glasses cannot hide all its rough edges.

On the positive side, the ML is handsome and overflowing with charisma. Whether you believe he is a Mafia consigliere is your decision. The FL was flamboyant and matched well with the ML so the OTP's chemistry was signed and sealed. There were quite a few stylistic moments and quotable quotes just right for memes. Action sequences were generally well executed and impactful. Production value was high. OST more than serviceable with classical music taking a prominent role.

When observing the show from a distance, like war and art, you start to notice a coda that ends with the death of a key character (and those were obviously marked for death). The odd thing is that in most cases, the in-between space was filled with comedy, sometimes slapstick and quite farcical. This swing in mood did give me a bit of whiplash. I don't know if part of the problem stems from the drama being 20 episodes long and each almost 1.5 hours in duration. If it was trimmed down to 16 episodes, it might be tighter.

Most of these comedic sequences were supplied by the occupants of the Plaza. They were a motley crew with hearts of gold. In that sense, I was disappointed that they were largely used as comic relief and had little growth. They reminded me of characters in the movies "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" and "Kung Fu Hustle". A bit derivative, to be honest.

Oh mama mia, the overacting. There were so much overacting. The main villains were racing to see who is more evil and the said support cast amped up their traits to the max, most of them became caricatures. Subtlety was the main casualty and there were more than just gallons of blood on the floor. Ditto the violence. It is over the top and the impact waned over time.

Now we come to the biggest problem for me. There are quite a few plot holes and some illogical story telling. The show started well and we have the lone wolf arriving to help the beleaguered "village". I can accept that Vincenzo is an anti-hero and very grey when it come to the definition of good and evil, it does add spice to the proceedings. However, the longer the show went on, the more problematic the story telling became. There were lots of shouted intentions but mostly just milling around until we hit one of the key event I mentioned before. Scenes like the ML fighting 3 mafia hitmen and was saved by Inzaghi, reward for good deeds? The scene when the ML confronted the Interpol officers, one sequence was shown at the end of one episode and when the next episode starts, a completely different scenario was played which contradicted the earlier scene. The role of the Guillotine file which was supposed to be the ultimate deus ex machina but it sort of works but eventually watered down. The gold plot went rogue, why a bed and does it really ends there? Sometimes the plot twist were clever but a lot of the time you can sense the writer-nim's hand on the steering wheel to make sure the show stay on a given course. Several times during the show, it could have ended "logically" but it just kept going.

Vincenzo is handsome and oozes charisma, the show is enjoyable in parts and it will pull your heartstrings from time to time, the found family trope can be cute and heart warming. There is no question about the chemistry between the OTP (I do wish they devoted more time to them). A grand opera of revenge can be sweet music. However, the inconsistencies will pull you out of immersion. Personally, I find Itaewon Class a superior David vs Goliath drama but nobody ever goes to watch a James Bond movie for empathy and sensitivity.

Hide & seek is full of Birth secrets, kidnapping, killing attempts, jealous characters, star-crossed lovers, adoption, altered identities, power games etc.
I had thought You're too much was an extreme makjang but this one is equal competition to that.

The story revolves around two girls whose destinies change because of the choices made by their family.
The story is kind of obvious at the start.

Chae rin is extremely talented businesswoman even better than her foster father. But she was never accepted by her foster family so she wants recognition and love from the family. She tries to do her best.
Soo ah/ Yeon joo was abducted when she was 10 yrs and now living as poor. She is the actual heiress of MakePacific. Her life was perfect until the man she loved leaves her for Chae rin and then the jealousy and competitiveness within her now wants more. After that it takes you on the ride which you personally would never get involved. There are many entanglements within the leads. It does take different turns in the middle.

Lee Yoo Ri as usual gives her best. The insecure and love-seeking Min Chae rin is best delivered by her. if portrayed by someone else, Chae rin may have sounded irritating as every character in this drama had given over the top vibe.
The sour spot of this drama would be Song Chang Eui. Cha eun hyuk may have been better. His expressions were stoic never really giving what he wants or feels. His chemistry with Chae rin is very shaky and falls short by his side.
Uhm Hyun Kyung is ok too. I personally got irritated by her character as Yeon joo coz she is blinded by jealousy and blames Chae rin for everything.
Kim Young Min on other hand is the best. He is really evolved into great actor.I really liked the character as Moon Jae sang. You look forward to his time with Chae rin. The character develoment is amazing. I wish they would have kept him as main lead.

Other people are portrayed too dramatic as I guess it was all in the script.
Music is good.
Just one time watch would be sufficient just too see Moon Jae sang and Min Chae rin.
A BIG NO for rewatch!!

Excellent acting & engaging story.

Excellent, can definitely recommend it. A good mix of political maneuvres, romance, battle, comedy with excellent acting by most of the main cast. The plot is clever, often coming up with something unexpected, akeeps you engaged, and gradually unfolds a few mysteries as it goes along.
It starts just after a rebelling general, Sun Jing, killed the Emperor and the Crown Prince to take the throne. The protagonist, Li Ni is the outcast son of the Emperor's brother and lives on the border as a soldier in charge of repelling invasions. When he hears about Sun Jng's uprising, he decides to fight his way to the capital and restore the throne to the Crown Prince's missing young son, Li Xuanze. The story follows this journey and the aftermatch, and pits several adversaries against each other in shifting alliances - Li Ni's West-Pacifying army, Sun Jing's supporters, the Cui army protecting Yingzhou from Jieshuo invaders, and Jieshuo invaders themselves. Through it is woven encounters with the "Commandant" of the Cui's army, a feisty, beautiful, very skillful fighter. She is the strategist, with Liu Chanfeng at the head of the army. Their relationship and the involvement of Li Ni is the driving motif behind the plot.

Ray in the scenes

I was very drawn to the intimate scenes between them. I craved them in every episode. I liked the scene in which he tore off what his lover was wearing and licked his chest. I loved the sounds, the feeling, and the deep kissing with the tongue. I loved every scene of him pulling him and him sitting on his feet. I loved their feeling and the feeling of the relationship between them. That made me want to repeat those scenes again, and I loved when they carried them. He took him to the bed and told him that he was a good boy and his dady would reward him ????????????????

That was awful... definitely not the Filipino version of The Wedding Banquet...

I had seen this marketed as the Filipino version of The Wedding Banquet on GagaOoLala so I had high hopes for it because, as a Taiwanese-American gay man, the "original" holds a special place in my heart.

There are slight correlations between this and the TWB: someone needs a green card, there's a gay couple, etc. But that's about all that connects them.

The family dynamics are completely different, it's barely "hysterical" as GOL describes it, and the surprise death was so out of nowhere and an overused trope and unnecessary. The amount of tension between the characters was incredibly heightened too and the connections didn't resonate, especially after the scene of violence between two of the leads.

TWB was based on family obligations, figuring out what's right for each person based on those, happy mistakes, and everyone coming together as a family. This was none of those things.

Confused but really good

When I saw that there would be a second season I was extremely excited because I thought that naksu would have his memories, I really wanted this to happen, but it was a shattering of expectations in front of me
It was so awakening to see the way naksu was "cute" and without powers, and when she finally comes back to her memories, she doesn't even take the sword, or fight, that was one of the things I had to hold myself back from dropping this kdrama
If naksu had her memories and jang uk didn't recognize her, and still naksu went after him and took his sword, or if she fought at least once during every episode, it would be a much better reencounter
The story is super slow, there were 10 episodes but it felt like I watched 30, it was very tame from one plot to the next, there were almost 4 episodes of naksu having her memories "back" but nothing happened, jang uk kept treating her badly , and she kept having memory, it was literally like that until episode 8.
And when jang uk fell in love with naksu with no memories and totally forgetting about dumbok, it was the worst part of this kdrama, I finished this show with no expectations that jang uk found out that buyeon was naksu, but it had a happy ending, so no it was that bad
