The best masterpiece of 2024

Honestly, I went here without any expectations plus I'm not a big fan of Wu Lei. However, I've watched Zhao Jinmai before and she has impressed me in 'Reset'. Months before this show aired, I've read the complete version of the novel so I will make my judgement based on what I watch and read.

The plot, in my opinion, is quite simple. The story basically tells us about two strangers bumping into each other in a bar on a rare snowstorm night. Then, the ML starts having a crush on the FL when they shared the same apartment days later. He also learns that she is a popular nine-ball player and it sparks more of his interest towards her. Because of her, he starts over his already-retired career as a snooker player and becomes a famous player once again.

I can say that the chemistry between the leads is swoon-worthy. I found myself constantly giggling in front of the screen for no reason. Wu Lei and Zhao Jinmai really nailed the role and fitted the description of Lin Yiyang and Yin Guo. I can't imagine any other leads being them. They were just too perfect in being a green-flag couple. Special mention to the supporting characters too, including Meng Xiaodong, Jiang Yang, Wu Wei, Chen An An, and Meng Xiaotian. I also love the master-disciple relationship between Lin Yiyang and Mr. He Wenfeng. I'm usually indifferent when it comes to the angst. However, I shed some tears in Mr. He's funeral scene.

OSTs are quite nice and adds more sweetness in the scene. I like nearly all of the OSTs in this drama. Usually, I would've skipped the OSTs, but this time I'm all ears for them.

I seldom rewatch dramas, so I think I will only watch some clips and try to rewatch it if I have spare time. Kudos to all the casts and the production team. All in all, this the best modern c-drama I've ever watched (the best gift for celebrating Lunar New Year). This is the end of my review. Enjoy your day and happy watching!!!

P.S.
The drama follows closely to the novel except they changed the shooting location from the USA to Finland (and France for a brief moment).

As for the ending, the novel ends after Lin Yiyang proposes to Yin Guo after singing a song. However, in the drama, 3 years later, they return to Finland and take Jiang Yang's son with them. In the last scene, they go back to Redfish (the bar where they met for the first time) and listen to 'Love and Shine' again. The final scene shows that they've left Redfish and walked together side by side. Nevertheless, it's a HE and you won't be disappointed.

Sweet romantic drama ❤️

I really enjoyed this drama which a a great storyline with two people finding the love that they had in high-school ten years later and discovering the love they still had for each other. I would most definitely recommend this drama it is a very sweet drama about love. I will rewatch it again. Some of the music I didnt really care for but it was still good. The second couple was so sweet and loving with each other. Both the main couple and second couple had teally chemistry together which made it even better.

gorgeous hell

i dont rate rewatch value - neutral 5

first jp drama!
first non korean one actually!

that i completed, word to the gf for picking.

if you've at all been alive and into media for the past like decade or two you should be able to pick out all kinds of influences here clear as day. from genre movies, to other shows, video games, what have you. it's pretty much what id do if i got to make a tight blockbuster show with a decent budget. its straight candy when it registers.

now.. while connecting all those influences is where the show stumbles on occasion, dragging down the entire writing with it to unnecessarily dumb down what would otherwise remain up to par to previous eps, it rebounds strong enough for the close to make up for it. disbelief has to be suspended a lil bit, it turns anime at times or whatever. (wouldnt know)

ill have to wait to season 2 to flesh out my deeper reading of the social commentary, but by the end it basically goes full anti japanese imperialism. not even lowkey. what was that in-passing line about an unnecessary massacre?

A MUST WATCH SERIES

The series made me smile from ear to ear. Every scene, every dialogue is simply delightful. All the synonyms of happiness describe this brilliant piece of entertainment. You will feel happy from your heart to mind that reaches your face and eyes. Yes, have you ever felt that kind of happiness? if not then try this masterpiece. The actors act naturally, it's not fanservice at all compared to other BL series. I love all of the soundtracks of this series. I may not understand the meaning of the song if it's in the Thai language, but I love listening to it. I checked the English version and no doubt every lyric is meaningful. The song of Tine, Sarawat, the intro, and outro song are very nice song. I love listening to all of their song over and over again.

To all their bashers, this is my message to all of you. If you are looking for a series with bed scenes and stuff like that, I would suggest you watch porn instead. The series is a romantic comedy, not pornography.

This series shows us sweetness, love, and happiness regardless of our race, color, and language. Thailand dramas are taking over the world with their simple and heartwarming series. I have been watching K- dramas for the past 10 years with subtitles but this drama is influenced me to learn more of the Thai language to understand it more in-depth. Bright and Win are evolving as one of the finest actors who can express their emotions so vividly. All the cast and team Still 2gether deserves a big round of applause. Highly recommended. Please watch it. A lot of us are looking forward to season 2.

More Horror than BL but Fabulous!

To be sure, this series was far from perfect, but it so grabbed my attention from the beginning and never lost it. Of course, the story got a little wonky, way too unnecessarily complicated, and so deep into the weeds in detail that I thought I would love my mind trying to figure out who was doing what to whom. But overall, what a ride! This story is a classic story of haves against have-nots. The privileged against the disadvantaged. It is a story about a group of ‘friends’ who take advantage of one particular individual whose skills are something they lack but want. They bully, cajole, and manipulate him into thinking he could become one of ‘them’; but, of course, he never will. The ending is stunningly creative and unexpected and had a feel that we were watching a version of a Grand Guignol theater. Perhaps, that is why I loved it so much. This is well-crafted, remarkably well-acted, with a bit too much detail in places, exceptionally dark perhaps too much so, yet overall so fascinating, gripping and captivating. One of the best BLs for 2024 with a frightfully deep doleful story.

Ah phooey. This was my most anticipated drama release of the month AND THE YEAR, but compared to my expectations, I was sadly a bit disappointed. The second half of the show just really lost the juice that was driving the beginning and I started to feel detached. First of all, I personally felt that the leads lacked chemistry to the point where I didn't care about what happened to their relationship. They were almost too perfect for each other, but the breakup was a bit too sudden in my opinion, especially since they were depicted as super stable. Which brings me to my main problem with the couple: they felt underdeveloped. We soared through their "crush" phase (which was incredibly short, making me wonder why they even liked each other) and when they were in a relationship, I quickly got bored of the couple. Surprisingly though, this show didn't seem to focus on the romance, and was much more focused on Hye Jun's family.
Side notes:
What happened to Hae Hyo? I was so prepared to feel for him and get some angsty second lead syndrome, but he just kind of disappeared? He quickly lost relevance in the middle, making me wonder what the point and importance of his character was. He got more screen time in the end, but I just did not empathize with him at all as he felt underdeveloped.
Hae Na and Ji-u were so cute. They deserved more screen time and development and I am devastated.
Hye Jun's character and struggles in the beginning made it super easy to feel for him. However, his character got lost in the second half. My fears were confirmed: the show just became less interesting for me after Hye Jun got famous and rich.
A couple of times I felt like they skipped through time too much. It was a little choppy, like when Hye Jun was suddenly finished shooting a drama or when Jeong Ha quit her job and was teaching? I'm not even sure what she was doing it was never explained.
We never got to learn too much about Jeong Ha in my opinion. This show was focused on Hye Jun (which was refreshing since kdramas usually focus on the female lead) but it made me feel detached from Jeong Ha's character and I couldn't really grasp who she was and never got to the point of rooting for her or relating to her.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but there was kind of a lot of acting that felt a bit awkward.
The OST was super good. It fit the youth theme really well and was quite refreshing!

Good series that is also a BL

I really liked the series as a series and as a BL. I highlight a few points:

1) It has given us the option to see the two stories complete and independently. Normally this is not the case and the "second couple" is overshadowed.

2) Great chemistry of the Boss-Neoul couple. It's a typical enemies to lovers story but with nuances of maturity in the relationship that I liked. I was surprised by the naturalness with which Rain (Noeul) accepts having a relationship with a boy.

3) Very good story of the Fort-Peat couple. Sky's character is very complex and I think the series reflects well what happened to him in the past and how he lives it in his day to day life.

4) Finally, I would like to highlight the excellent acting of Fort, the youngest actor in the cast (22) whose character is older. Besides being very handsome his acting in the emotional scenes is very believable and the evolution of his character from carefree playboy to man in love has been great. I'm looking forward to seeing him in his next work (Moments of Love).

A show that will make you feel like on a emotional roller coaster

I will always recommend this one drama to everyone. It’s the most iconic drama on earth. This was my first ever bl drama which was in 2020 and it’s one that would encourage you to continue watching. I’ve always loved this drama, it played everything so well like the hardships of being a gay person, not having people accept you, and overcoming all of the hardships because of your lover. I still remember myself bawling my eyes out because it was so sad and Fluke (Pharm) literally knows how to make you cry and he’s a really good cryer. I really loved winteams couple it was so cute and the chemistry was on top, I’m glad they have a side show which is between us also teams obsession with lays chips always made me laugh so hard that I think of a bag of lays chips were next to win team would definitely pick the lays chips. I really loved Manow’s character she was really funny especially when trying to be a stone, but it was good I could laugh after seeing really sad scenes. I really recommend this drama with all my heart and you will enjoy it too.

Annoying privilege

I'm late to the BL world and keep discovering actors I've never heard of and then have a list of dramas I need to find. This is no exception. Chimon (Sailom) is great. The expressions he has and the sincerity (it seems to me) with which he is portraying his clever, struggling, dignified character has pulled me into this story. In some scenes I hardly notice Perth (Kang) (sorry!). I'm not saying he can't act, just that his on-screen partner is really good.

The first few episodes made me feel so uncomfortable that I wasn't sure I wanted to continue. The bullying was nasty (obviously) and borderline sexual. The bully wanted power and worship, but deep down (as is sometimes the case) wanted to be noticed and cared for by someone...anyone.... It got better as it progressed.

The stark difference between a life of privilege and one of struggle made me angry. I know it happens in reality, but I was still angry!

As the drama progressed, I still wasn't sure if I would finish it, as Kang annoyed me so much (Perth's acting continued to be great).

What I liked: the grandmother - she's a smart cookie. Chimon's acting and his character, Sailom. The chemistry between Chimon and Perth was clear and there were a few scenes where they seemed to be having fun and there was real laughter. Loved Auto. Loved the side couple: Nawa and Guy - I didn't see that coming until it happened....

What I didn't like: the bullying

THE MOVIE

I have seen Blackpink THE MOVIE yesterday. It's a very beatiful film. During a lot of time Blackpink's members sing the most popular songs from "How You Like That" to "Boombahya". Before to see the Blackpink Movie I enjoyed Blackpink song but after to have seen the movie I love the songs, I love Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rose and I Love everything about the group. At the end Lisa cries and it's a cute and beatiful scene. They use a lot of word for the BLINKS.

"Blackpink, Blinks, Forever" say Lisa.

Sorry for my bad grammar but english is not my mother leanguage

I really love this drama. It's probably in my top 5 best Korean romantic comedies. I was never a fan of either leads but this drama was so good that I was won over. The chemistry and relationship between Yi Seok and Hong Do was both cute and mature. It also has some really good Korean Indie music to set the mood of each scene (think Coffee Prince.. btw, this drama was written and directed by those same people).

I highly recommend this drama.

Family is the basic unit of society

“They say it takes an entire village to raise a child. In other words, a child’s life could be ruined if the entire village neglects the child.” - Shim Eun Seok.

What a great show! Great story, excellent casts and I think we need this series to show us how every decisions, actions and words, could affect not us but the people around us. That every actions there's a corresponding responsiblity included.

We should always take into consideration the things that we will decide to do. That as an adult, we should always reflect how it would affect younger generation. Also, that family is really important and that when you become a parent, you are responsible in shaping your child on how to become a responsible member of the society.

Give it a try.

A good drama to watch. There are some supernatural elements in the drama like visions and ghosts.
What you can expect is for first dozen or more episodes, new case (of rescue/search/other elements) almost every episode kinda like procedural drama but it is about Park Rangers and their teams. There is also the element of Investigation of murders and it is one of the main background storyline. The chemistry between the Main lead is fire even though there is no romance , but they care for each other deeply and are great partners having each others back.
To get to know the drama and all its elements watch first 3 episodes and then decide to drop or to continue watching.
All the actors are great as they should be can't expect anything less from such a spectacular Cast.
Music was great too.

It's not that bad but its not particulary good...I have no idea why it was such a sensation. It had a lot of flaws.
The main guy is handsome but theres really not a lot going on in this drama. I see some people mention there isn't a lot to SHG's acting and I agree. Some parts I really enjoyed but overall I was not that impressed. It was ok though. Totally overhyped and dragged on at times. I would only recommend to watch if you are bored and need to pass the time. There are better dramas out there.
