DO NOT READ REVIEWS TO FIGURE OUT IF YOU WANT TO WATCH OR NOT

Overall, I have to strongly disagree with these comments. The plot is pretty good. Please don't read them to figure out if you want to watch or not. Everyone has different opinions. Okay so, this is gonna be long. This show is kind of a feel good kind of show. There was not that much angst, if you like that. The acting was fantastic, especially on the later episodes. Although I wasn't a big fan of the music, I can see most people enjoying it. It was pretty funny for me. The plot wasn't a huge shocker but I personally still liked it. It included a big plot twist, though. But if you're going to watch this, don't expect some kind of angsty sad show with huge plot twists. I liked the characters too but these are just my opinions. Bye!

Clever plot, awesome actors, memorable story.

I haven't watched the original: but I was really impressed with the storyline. I've seen an oodle amount of shows in general that have plot twists that spiral out of control and it's just nonsense, but not this one. yay!

I was scared it would happen in this show because it has multiple layers of complexity, but the story is handled with precision!
midway, two episodes were veryyyyy confusing because they were not revealling everything, but it all "makes sense" by ep 8.

IT IS A GOOD STORY! for those who like mysteries and twist hard to guess.

someone in the comments said it's not Kdrama but Ktrauma, and I can't agree more. the story is very heavy. it has a lot of existential questions and self esteem, courage, loss, death and grief. But the story wraps itself in a way that tries to answer most of these current issues in high school and life in general.

For the actors, I really thought there were two different actors from the past 1998 and the present. I was also extremely impressed an in awe in the execution of the minjoo- jun-hee dichotomy. we could feel the essence of each character even if it was played by the same person.

This show left me with an inspiring feeling overall in the end and it made me reminisce about my high-school years, about my own hopes and confidence.

I did wish there was something more after the final scene and more about this time travel system, but if we analyze all that it was, all the clues were in the show.

Clever plot, awesome actors, memorable story about a connection between two people.

ONE OF THE FEW KDRAMAS THAT CAN EASILY GET A 10

Goblin is just everything you want in a kdrama. You probably read all the amazing reviews about how beautiful it is so I;m not going to repeat anything.
Goblin is a 10 for sure and just kinda perfect but also at the same time I had my few opinions.
And here they are

AGE DIFFERENCE (very controverial)

- The age difference is a little weird... but the romance is too beautiful and tragic to even look at that. I highly disagree with people who think they had no chemistry and instead had a father-daughter relationship. Ar first I was highly weird out and disgusted by the age difference but I looked over it and you will to. Hopefully. What's more weird is the fact that Gong Yoo looks 40 10 years ago and today's time as well. Koreans are usualy younger looking so I didn't expect him to look that old for a korean but hey not every korean is younger looking and so representation matters lol

SECOND COUPLE
- Second couple didn't really grow on me. It was just there... I would have loved it if the gream reaper and goblin fell for the same girl. Now how controversial and conflicting is that! However that would ruin the bromance and I refuse to sacrifice the most amazing bromance in the history of kdrama for that thought.

MUSIC
THE BESTTTTTTTTTTTTT. THE BEST OST EVERRRRRRRR
ITS BEYOND BEAUTIFULLLLLL
I LOVE THE OPENING SONG AND STAY WITH ME
the opening song lyrics make no sense tho lol

GOBLIN DESERVES ALL THE HYPE! AND THATS ON PERIOD!

One of the TOP dramas

I love it, i love it, i loove it! --- This reaction i send to my best friend when i finished this drama.

Great actors, amazing story what i did not see before.

Drama is super funny, cute, scary and everything what i needed.

And also pretty hot (actors and some scenes).

I did not know what will happend next, (only like 2 times and in normal k- dramas you know half story from beggining)

Only like 2 things did not make sence for me, but that was the scene that we all hate, when you shout : do not do this or do not go there :D so nothing bad.

I finished it in 1,5 day, becouse i could not take my eyes from that.

Hotel del Luna is a drama that revolves around a woman who is the owner of a hotel for the dead and the previous encounters that led her to were she was in present time and how she finds love in the arms of a general manager who she forced to work for her. I personally loved this drama it had everything from good directing to great screen writing to the best of editing and the sound track is amazing. I love IU and Yeo Jin goo they gave a heart warming performance that leaves a well imprinted impression. The story line is well crafted and without doubt unique in all edges. Watch this drama you’ll love it!

This is a tale of love and tragedy between a Grim Reaper and a Goblin-

I was here for the Grim Reaper and the Goblin. They kept my attention. I loved their relationship and these actors delivered. Forewarning, the main female character was a bit too much initially- I understand it was due to her age (she is a teenager). I LOVE THIS ACTRESS, even though I did not love her character. I feel the actress did a great job at portraying a very young girl, I just found the girl off putting. That just me. But please please please, get your tissue because when this actress delivers her tragic moment- JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH, She ripped the tears from the depths of my soul. I saw this clip before and STILL was not ready. The connections and storylines were well written. THE CINEMATOGRAPHY!!! THE SCENERY!!! Yessssssss. I recommend this drama.

A little disappointed

Sooo i started Vinzenzo beacause of my friend who loved it ♡
The beginning was impressive, but then it was a little to boring (at first it was slow the story but after 10 episode came the 'good stuff' )
I understand that they wanted to combine all the types •action
•mafia
•sadness
•comedy
•romance
But the result for me was: some scenes was masterpiece and some others was boring.
Except from that, the story was good and interesting but there were times that i was lost for what was going on
On the other side i can say that i loved the acting like OMG i was not expecting but i was shocked(in a good way) many times
I loved that the role of female protagonist was a powerful (metaphorical) woman
The production, ok, i don't have words, it was obvious FANTASTIC and the ost was veryyy good
I reccomaded mostly for the acting!

Happiness is the feeling you get when you know this drama is good

I don’t know why I haven’t heard much about this drama, but this is a terrible shame. Because what would we get from mix of High Rise and #Alive (pardon my limited library of zombie themed series)? Well, apparently something very very good.

Young couple Sae Bom and Yi Hyun moves into newly built apartment complex. We have a vast variety of characters and the higher we go the weirder they get. But the titular happiness doesn’t take long, soon the media report about new virus called Madman Rabies. People infected have very strong craving for human blood and being bitten means fast infection. Our main characters are already familiar with new virus but to save themselves from it they’ll first have to fight human stupidity.

The strong side of this drama are certainly characters. Without it, drama set mostly in closed off building wouldn’t be half as interesting. And we have very broad spectrum of the worst and most annoying characters you’ll meet. And even decent people that we meet at the beginning soon begin to be not so nice faced with greed and need of self preservation. They’ll do horrible things to end up on top (literally considering the building and figuratively).

The thing is that soon we’ll learn that zombies are not the biggest danger here. They’re easy to avoid and most of the times harmless. But normal people, completely aware of what’s going on, blinded by their own needs and flaws are the ones we should run away from.

Because apart from our main couple, Sae Bom who works in military and Yi Hyun who works in police, the rest of the tenants are completely unaware of the danger lurking outside the building and soon this would be first problem. Because try to explain something to the people so entitled that they value others by the number of the floor they’re living on.

Even though the drama is set in one place and there’s not really a lot to see here, it manages to keep the viewer interested all the time. A lot of things are going on here but on a small terrain so sometimes viewer might feel a bit detached. Add to it an eerie music that just seems to warn us that something can happen any moment and we have very unique feeling.

Somewhere in the middle of it I was sure I’ll just binge watch it till the very end. This is one of those dramas that viewer don’t feel the passage of time. The constant action is so entertaining that suddenly we reach the end of the episode. And it’s hard not to watch the next one right away.

I have two “buts” without which this drama would be one of the best I’ve watched recently.
One is a villain that emerges in the second half of the story. First, he’s not really needed here. We have enough bad characters here to fill another two seasons. Second, he’s in my opinion not developed enough. We don’t have him for long enough to know his motives. With all of the rest characters we can gradually get to know them and explore their personalities. He’s like a jack in the box. He jumps out of nowhere (well, not exactly, but in a sense, yes) and here he is, the evil one. We have a brief explanation but I feel that it wasn’t enough. His character just seemed rushed and without proper explanation of his actions.

Second issue here is with the montage. I don’t know what happen, but we have several situation that we have a sudden freeze frame before the cut. I think this could be a place where commercials would start, but this is a first time I see it done so sloppily. It was really noticeable and didn’t look good.

But overall, this is amazingly well pace, dynamic drama. With interesting characters and well written plot. From start to the finish it doesn’t let the viewer rest even for a bit. We feel like a part of the story being locked up in the building.

That was very enjoyable drama and great comeback of Park Hung Sik after his military enlistment. May his future projects be equally good.

Ok. Time for me to give the HIStory franchise a rest

Mmmm...nope. This was not it. SO many things were just not working for me in this series. It's a miracle that i was able to complete it as I have no idea how I watched this series from December 28, 2022, to March 01, 2023. This right here was pure torture! And I know why I always continued watching it- I foolishly thought that it would have gotten better. news flash- it doesn't. And I don't care what anyone says but the last good series with both couples they had was HIStory 3: MODC 9and yes even those last two episodes that people don't/ haven't watch was WAY better than this!). They have been downhill since then. (HISTory 4: CTY was okay with 1 couple. The next one, not so much).

Story-1.5 /10

It started off with Tai Che Ne, from the year 2000, being transported to the year 2022. He is so distraught and wants to return home to his grandmother in the year 2000 that he does anything in his power to achieve this...for like the first few episodes. He then begins to spend a lot of time with Hai Yi and their relationship developed. This relationship takes the forefront as we aren't really mentioned about his desire to return home to his grandmother until quite episode 14 (I think).

And then, let's not forget about the secondary couple -Liang Wen Hsen and Lin Huai En (a.k.a Wynn)- who really brought...nothing for me. Thier main concern with their relationship was the age-gap, which isn't really a concern for me. For them to know that it was okay they brought in a couple from HIStory 4: CTY- the secondary couple. Now, let me start off by saying- I have nothing against an age- gap relationship as well as stepbrothers being in a relationship. What I have an issue is HOW this relationship started. I still have an issue with this to date and seeing them again in this series just made me feel meh.

Out of all twenty episodes, I was only able to follow 3. Yes- you heard me. Only 3 episodes out of 20!!! And that's when Hai Yi's dad died, and he took over. Because I was hella confused from the get-go. I even felt that the synopsis was wrong only until these two episodes aired (it was either 11 and 12 or 13 and 14. I don't even know anymore). The third episode that I was finally to grasp what the heck was going on was episode 19. It finally cleared things up for me. But now it's a little too late as I have lost any care for whatever is going on in this series.

And the sad thing is, the concept sounded interesting. And I just don't know what went wrong. Because a lot went wrong. Due to all of this, I am giving the story a 1.5.

Acting/Cast: 1/10

Because of how the cast was not able to portray their characters in a way for me to enjoy this series, I am giving their acting a 1. I was just turned off from the get-go and tried really hard to like them. And I don't know why but I was not feeling either of the couples during their intimate scenes with each other. I actually just wanted it to be over. I guess as how I didn't feel any connection with their relationship being developed to that point- that when they reached that stag in their relationship, I just meh and wanted those intimate scenes to be over with.

Music- 8/10
The music was the only saving grace for this whole entire series. It was addictive and memorable. I know that I am going to miss it so much. As such, I give the music an 8.

Rewatch Valu-1/10

You guys will NEVER see me watching this series again. I am grateful that I did give it a watch, so I won't wonder be left wondering what happened with these characters.

Overall- 3.5/10

Overall, I give this series a 3.5. It is safe to say that the HIStory franchise is not what it used to be and maybe, just maybe, we need to give this franchise a long rest to see if we can get it back to the glory days that were HIStory 2: Crossing The Line, HIStory 3: Trapped and yes even HISTORY3: Make Our Days Count. If you still want to watch this series, you can go right ahead. But i just cannot and will not recommend this series to another individual.

Deceptively simple, but astoundingly mature and nuanced!

I was so surprised to see something jump to the top of BL rated dramas on MDL after what has felt like a year (2023) of less than great BL productions, but after watching it I believe it deserves the accolades. I’ve always gravitated to the BL dramas that prioritize a sense of realism and emotional heft, over the shenanigans and illogical misunderstandings that many BLs try to pass off as legitimate plot points. Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mite mo stands head to toe with many of my favorite BLs, like Eien no Kinou, Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru, Gameboys, I Told Sunset About You, Like in the Movies, More Than Words, Otto No Otto, Bokura no Shokutaku, The Eighth Sense, Mood Indigo, Kinou Nani Tabeta?, and Blueming. So if you like any of those, you will likely also enjoy this. The plot of Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mite mo seems very simple, but hidden inside is a very relatable story, engaging characters, plot tension that emanates from believable human emotions. This show made me tear up (happy tears) many times. It’s incredibly refreshing to see characters be so honest with themselves about what they want. The drama hinges on actual human desires, without any “gotchas” like the forced under-explained misinterpretations and missed connections that many BL dramas unfortunately rely on as plot devices. this show was incredibly well written, and well acted. My only criticism of the may be that it might be slightly unbelievable that these two high school students would be able to communicate with such maturity. A bonus of this show is the amazing theme song, and closing credits song, which both perfectly convey the emotions of this series. I’ve watched over 150 BL dramas and this was one of the best!

Another cute fluff and stuff drama!

This is a cute, light, fluff, and stuff drama. I really like this show. Even though it has a typical storyline.

Storyline - not original but was good. It flowed smooth and kept my interest mostly in the romance of it. I really am grateful for there being no parents involved or really against their relationship. A little bit of love triangle but not to bad. Just enough to make me want to kick someone’s butt!?

Acting/Cast - I think they did a good job. A bit stiff in some areas. I would look for more shows with the leads and watch them again. I would like to see how they grow in their acting.

Music - I liked the music as I do all Asian drama music. It has become my favorite to listen to since I started watching these dramas.

Rewatch - yes! I would. Because it was light and smooth and I good romance! No parental interference that makes my blood boil! Haha I tend to hate shows like that.

Why watch 'Happiness'?

If you are tired of all the cliche and showy K-Dramas out in the market, this is the K-Drama for you. I think love stories are inevitable in K-Dramas. It will be the core of the story in most cases, but what I loved about this series was how the leads' love story progressed subtly. Their starting point was cliche, but it didn't take the path of love story progression usually taken by most K-Dramas. I loved how the series centered on Sae Bom and Yi Hyun's reel and one-sided love to a real relationship but, at the same time, is not explicitly expressed. There are times when you have to ponder on their actions and be quick-witted and keen-eyed. There may be some plot holes, but I think it's for the story's sake (though it really makes you sometimes cringe, HAHAHA). If you do not mind apocalyptic genres and blood, I recommend watching' Happiness.' It's a refreshing K-Drama showing how small and subtle actions express one's love for their loved ones.

I tend to go through periods where I binge watch a lot of dramas and then periods where I read a lot of webtoons. Business Proposal is one of the webtoons that I really liked but that fell off my radar while I was waiting for updates. When I heard that it was becoming a drama though, I had to revisit the webtoon!

Style-wise, this drama is very over the top but it's addictive and easy to watch and beyond the comedy there are also heartwarming moments between the characters. In the webtoon, I don't think the author specifies what kind of company Tae-moo and Hari work for, but I feel like they made a really good choice in making it into a food company in the drama. It really worked with the plot and made for some genius advertising as well. Another nice touch was what felt like the production team making fun of themselves / breaking the fourth wall by having the grandpa watch a show that sort of mirrored what was happening in the drama.

Drama fans will find lots of familiar faces in this show, and it's nice to see the same actors/actresses working together from previous shows. I first discovered Ahn Hyo-Seop in My Father Is Strange, which I think was his breakout role, and found the romance line he had in that show super cute. But in this drama, I found his character a bit too exaggerated, especially moments like when he would use his hand to brush back his hair. I still liked the main couple and think they look good together but I feel like the second couple actually had more chemistry.

I was a bit surprised at how they chose to end the show, since the actual webtoon is over as well so I feel like they could have ended it the same way as the webtoon. I also feel like the webtoon did a better job of delving into the relationship between Hari and Lee Min Woo, whereas in the drama you can't really tell how Min Woo felt about Hari.

The drama is only 12 episodes, but I definitely could have watched 16 episodes. I feel like there isn't really the potential for a second season unless they go off of the plot of the webtoon, but if there was then I would watch it!

I LOVED IT

After watching the last episode I wished there were more. It gives us a glimpse into military life in Korea and also a bit of the political side. The ML is one of my very favorites and he didn’t disappoint. FL was good but her whiny voice and screaming made me hit the mute button numerous times. Their chemistry is good so that made up for the whiny voice. There were two mainlove stories and the support male and female also had good chemistry. There are a couple of scenes that will make you teary. The scenery in the foreign country is beautiful. Overall it is easy watching and now Inhave to find something comparable which will be difficult. Did not give a ten because of background music which I found grating as well as FL whiny voice.

HUH?

I love Xu Kai Cheng in his roles They are strong and he makes a great ML. I cried a few times so I did appreciate it over half the Eps. Jinna Lu is ever the bad girl. She plays this role well. The FL, Yang Chao Yue, is a natural beauty and normally her acting is pretty good. But she was so morose most of the time. She didn't even look as tho she enjoyed anything, including the love of her life. Overall, it was entertaining. But the ending sucked and I was left empty and angry.
BTW I blame the Director for the bad in this drama.
