7.0/10 - Such a playful episode!

It's a bit disappointing how distant Orchid and Dongfang feel to each other now. There was a flashback at the end where she talked about smiling again to a friend. Which led to him smiling at Chang Heng | Xiao Run! OMG! I love that Dongfang and Chang Heng are going to be friends!!!!!! It's a bit annoying that memory wiping keeps happening with Orchid and Chang Heng. First him doing it to her 500 years ago and now Dongfang wiping Orchid saving Chang Heng! At least he drew that picture. I feel like this episode was a lot of setup for mistaken Spirit Book interpretation. I don't think Chang Heng is her Mr. Right. Rong Hao clearly had an impact with his flute playing. Then Dongfang swept in. Which makes more since that he'd kill her on their wedding night. LBFaD is getting all kinds of fun twists. More importantly this was a ton of fun for characters who normally wouldn't be playful together to be playful!

A Hilarious, Fast-paced Start

Wow! I hollered my way through this episode. It has the best humor that I have seen in a BL series, and the comedy element does not feel forced. The dialogue is priceless. The actors are also doing a great job. What I did not like is Jake Hsu's performance, which seems a little too much at times. Maybe this is what his character should be like, though. Tang Yi and Meng Shao Fei's dynamic is so much fun.

The plot is problematic.

I am speechless. Normally I don't really write reviews, but this story aggrevates me.It has nothing to do with acting, cinematografie and not even with the music. They where pretty good. Slapstick is not really my humor, but I can apprechiate it. It's just the plot that is truly problematic.I am not into polyamory, but I am of the opinion: To each their own. If somebody else chooses to live in polyamory and everybody agrees, go ahead and be happy. But! If one does not agree and the others plot to trap him for his money... then there is something wrong. Please somebody tell me if I understood something wrong. If that is the case then I appologize. If not then please work on a plot that has all parties agreeing in some extend. Or make it into a drama.Still give it two points, because everything else was fine apart from the plot.

7.0/10 - The couples episode.

Are Rong Hao and Xie Wan Qin the true love story here? I'm starting to think so. For some reason I thought Orchid would end up being Xie Wan Qin or a fragment of her. Or something. But a little sister . . . now I like that. What I didn't expect was how in to Rong Hao and Xie Wan Qin as a couple I'd be. He's done so many things to get her back! This is clearly the couples episode. Dongfang asking Shang Que what he feels for Orchid and how he reacts differently to her now what so cute. Espeically as Shang Que looks at Jie Li and confesses he has the same ailment. Poor Shang Que not being tortured by Jie Li as Jie Li constantly tries to "help" Orchid. Poor Orchid who has decided, despite caring fr Dongfang, she can't ally with him. Especially as she's trying to stop him from doing whatever he's planning and keep Chang Heng safe. Chang Heng who remembers his fairy love, but will marry Chi Di Nu Zi | Xie Wan Qin because of the promise. Funny that this time around Chang Heng is not being held to it by anyone but himself. It's even weirder seeing Dan Yin as a boy named cricket! Poor Dan Yin. I feel like the writers just want to torture her. I hope she get a Happily Ever After at some point.

I can only assume this is the part of Orchid's destiny the Turtle was talking about! It's interesting in the dream Orchid eventually hugged Xie Wan Qing . In the mirror her face over took Orchid's but in the dream the little girl (I assumed was Orchid) hugged Xie Wan Qing. Is Orchid her sister and Xie Wan Qing did something dangerous to keep her primordial soul from being destroyed? Or I'm over thinking it.Orchid is distancing her self from Dongfang Qing Cang after he stated he'd take over Orchid's land and people. After he asked if she could let go and be with him, and she asked if he'd let go of his path for her it's clear these too are stubborn!!! Ha-ha! It also broke my heart a little. I was super surprised Chang Heng jumped to enter the mortal realm for trials after Dan Yin said he'd marry Orchid. What's more shocking is the baby that Dongfang Qing Cang's younger brother found is Xie Wan Qing's reincarnation or soemthing? Was her spirit broken up? So the baby will grow up to look like Orchid . . . or what. I feel like I'm missing something key here! This was more of a setup episode for the next act. I know there's more to go, but I want a passionate kiss between Orchid and Dongfang Qing Cang! I'm curious to see what is going to happen with Dongfang Qing Cang, Orchid, Shang Que, and Jie Li pretending to be mortal. part of me thought Orchid was going to find out that Chang Heng became mortal and jump in after him. Speaking of holy cow Dan Yin! My poor girl! That unwavering love. I do truly hope that Dan Yin and Chang Heng end up together.

THIS EPISODE!!!

i love how this episode talked about consent. It was nuanced and well written. This episode addressed the weird relationship kdramas have with consent. A lot of romance in kdramas love this sort space were there are this blurred lines between and sometimes portray sulking as cute and it weird but this episode really came for those weird portrayals of romance. Also i don't know about you but i think a romance scenes is elevated by people asking for consent like in the final scene of the episode. side note: sorry if this sounds kinda weird trying to write this before the internet stops working.

Engaging from the start

Started watching this coz the leads are few of my fav actors, so I was curious how their chemistry would be like especially since this is a rom-com. Pleasantly surprised is what I would say.The overall flow of the storyline doesn't feel too draggy and neither is it too fast paced. The whole vibe of the drama right from the beginning is just like the feeling of the 1st day of a relationship. The OST sounds really good too, and it compliments the whole feels of the drama.Really looking forward to the rest of the episodes and how the story unfolds. For now I'd give it a solid 8.5/10

That's so diasappointing

This ending felt like it was so rush. For me I was expecting a very very bad ending for Mayor Choi Doha like imprisonment and getting charged for his offences. But Changho simply just killed him and the end.

A Bit Melodramatic, but Definitely High-Tension!

This scene raises the stakes in the Governor's Mansion to their height. Everyone is in danger at this moment. The Governor's fortunes are at their nadir, while his enemy is at his zenith. Who will triumph in the end???Will this end in tragedy for the governor, or is there a "happy ending"????

8.0/10 - Keep the feelings coming.

Picking right up from the last episode the emotional roller coaster continues. Dongfang Qing Cang's conversation with his father just makes all the feels go crazy. I honestly didn't expect Dongfang Qing Cang to decide to keep his feelings. Especially since he already went through the first part of removing his emotions. Deciding to keep the grief of killing his father and all those cruel emotions to try and keep the good. The goodbye between the two broke me as Dongfang Qing Cang could not give his father peace. (I don't blame him.)Dongfang Qing Cang immediately feels the consequence as the day is his fathers death and his brother execution. Dongfang Qing Cang stops the strikes and takes the majority of them in place of his brother. Orchid is amazing standing up for Dongfang Qing Cang and making his little brother face the reality. Even giving Dongfang Qing Cang advice later how to deal and mend fences. What's more Dongfang Qing Cang makes Orchid take care of him longer than she needs to and that was cute. Especially after she comforted him. Clearly from here out we're going to be getting way more emotional stuff. Which is great. But it's clear that Orchid expects Dongfang Qing Cang to change a lot and I doubt he's reading to give up his goal of taking over the fairies and war. This episode and the last one didn't do much to expand the other plots and characters. We're deep diving into Dongfang Qing Cang. I'm waiting for some of those intense LOVE emotions to strike with our forbidden romance.
