Confession: Out of all of the May/June dramas, I was most addicted to Romance Town. Not The Greatest Love, or Lie to Me, or even City Hunter. Nope. My drug of choice was Romance Town.

"But Romance Town doesn't have a plot!" Well, there is a plot, but it without a doubt became a secondary concern for the writer. What the writer brought to the forefront was a thoughtful (albeit at times heavy-handed) and quirky character study, and it was this slice-of-life aspect that grabbed me. The characters became so real that I found myself accurately predicting their every move, not because the plot itself was predictable, but because I came to know these characters so well in and out that guessing their next move was like friends finishing the other's sentence. More wonderful still is the grayness within each character: there is no absolute evil or good, and as a result I found myself sympathizing with even the most unlikeable resident of the street. Overall, the world of this show felt organic, with events progressing naturally based on the characters' authentic reactions as opposed to being driven by artificial plot devices.

Admittedly, the plot could have been tighter. At 20 episodes, the show is perhaps four episodes too long. There were plot points that went nowhere, towing along certain characters in its wake. Gun Woo and Soon Geum's relationship, despite being the main one, fell on the dull side, and a last minute pairing felt too sudden, but I let it slide since it was a couple I had been rooting for. Some episodes seem to just drag on (ironically enough, given the title of this drama, those were the episodes that dealt directly with romance), while others had me yanking my hair, gasping aloud, and craving more.

Despite the above complaints, I thoroughly enjoyed journeying through the world of Romance Town with the maids as my guides. We were gifted with a glimpse into their lives, friendships and loves, and I'm not ashamed to say that I miss them already.

It's my first time watching a drama that long. Maybe it could have been shorter, sometimes i didnt understand how they can react like that. But i think it's part of the Korean culture and i really enjoyed watching it.

Well we can tell the story from the start, but actors are good, and their part are touching...

i do not understand how i manage to the end, but a big smile was stuck in my face in the end :D

This drama starts off funny and charming then very quickly becomes a bore then gets interesting again, then it drops the ball on the romance and the story changes to focusing on the greedy maids.

The Ups: The 1st episode is solid. It is funny, charming, and tricks you into believing this might be a fresh romantic comedy. Second, the cast is well chosen and as a whole have a genuine chemistry. You really feel like they all live on the outrageous 1st street. The standout of course is Kim Min Joon. He really made me fall for him in this. Now I want to see more of his dramas.

The downs: The plot for most of the series. The romance is dull. The ending is blah. Too many eps.

Overall this drama had potential but it really is a mess. I would only recommend this to anyone who has extreme patience. Good luck!

Although this movie lacks a pull forward plot line and drags to almost a crawl at the end, it was worth watching. It wasn't an award winning film and wasn't the worst film.

So I passed on this drama many times due to the topic being covered. Being about Aids and all i thought it was going to be this sad melodrama and i dont like those. Then I discovered Jang Hyuk and decided to watch his past dramas so I gave this one a chance...

Story- Really well written. I like how it seeks to inform the audience in a way that takes the subject seriously but also is lighthearted as to not alienate the audience. The romance in this was small but still meaningful. The ending was happy=)

Acting/Cast- Solid acting by the main leads. Their chemistry was so strong that i really wanted them to be together. The acting by the little child actress was really good. The pairing of her and GHJ was perfect cause they really made a believable mother/daughter. The acting by the supporting cast was really good but i didn't like a lot of the characters.

Music- Fit the scenes well.

Rewatch- I'd definitely rewatch this again in a few years.

Overall this drama is different but i definitely recommend you trying it out.

AMAZING! That's the first word i would like to describe SeGA. :) Well, this is a typical story of a rich man and a poor girl BUT i love the twist of the story and the switching of the main characters. And i like their OSTs, im falling in love with them!haha.. Anyway, for me this is the best drama! And i really do love Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won! Their chemistry is so great! ♥

This was a cute drama. I loved the story b/c it is about finding ur own path in life. There was little romance but that did not make the drama any less romantic. The ideals presented were very different from most dramas. The girl learning to be independent even when she knows that she needs help. The real life value of "begging does not always answer the problems" did not deminish the value of respect and pride that is being taken into consideration in those moments.

I really enjoyed this drama and will watch it again espcially b/c there were some really funny parts to it. The Grandpa was the bestest. I hope all that watch it enjoy it as much as I did.

This was really an exceptional drama! It's one of the best I've seen so far. Although the whole girl pretending to be a boy thing is not new, the setting and situation is fresh. This gives it a very different style than all the dramas it has been compared to. The beginning is slightly confusing if you have no knowledge of Korean history, traditions or culture. But as you watch, you will understand. I like how there is friendship built and emphasized as the characters encounter little twists and obstacles.

The characters play well off each other as their chemistry is greate and the actors are all well suited for their parts. And honestly, the guys are very cute :P

One notable thing about this drama is it gives you room to imagine in details yourself. For example, they don't necessarily give the full backstory of the characters. Instead they hint at many parts and let you create your own story for them in your mind.

Don't expect to enjoy this unless you are a Cassie. It has quite the thin, holey plotline, makes very little sense, and is all around a bit silly. However, the cast of course is very nice to look at and if you already love DBSK then you will enjoy spending a little over an hour ogling and laughing at/with them. The acting is not terrible so much as the story is poorly constructed, so it is not horribly painful to watch (the strongest actors of DBSK get the lead roles, so that helps) but don't expect the feeling of "what a great movie!" after watching so much as "that was kind of amusing!" The best part, without a doubt, is definitely that the OST is 100% DBSK :) And of course, no matter how their acting skills may be, no one can deny their superior musical talent, so that is definitely a plus.

Overall, this was not -so- bad, and it was an entertaining way to waste some time, but unless you are a diehard Cassie or are just curious about DBSK, there are probably better things to watch out there.

I really liked this drama. It really reminded me of Boys Over Flowers. The only thing that I didn't like was the ending. But all in all it was a pretty good drama!

Story- Most of the episodes are devoted to making your insides hurt while laughing. The romances are very well written. There are sad events towards the end that will make you cry. There are happy endings though=D

Acting/Cast- Lee Min Jung is my new favorite actress. She played Jungin so perfectly. She knew how to be annoying but cute at the same time. The guy that played Hyunsu was so cute and funny. The supporting cast are brilliant actors! They know how to play funny and also be dramatic/emotional. Can\''\''t say enough good things about them.

Music- Beautiful score. The OST is awesome! I love all the songs they used. Def. going on my ipod=D

Rewatch- Although most would find a 45 ep drama hard to rewatch, this drama was so entertaining Id watch it again.

Overall- This drama is so entertaining and the cast is magnificent. Don\''\''t miss out on this masterpiece of a drama!

Only one word: SAIKOU!!!! and unlike Filo said i did watch it because of the cover since to me it didn`t looked gay and because of her review. i liked the stars on their costumes :P and of course the fact that they were all guys(good looking ones too :P). But this was one of the best dramas i`ve watched, even tough i`m more on comedy-romance dramas and i`ve only watched those with this one i fell in love at first sight.

The story - is great; ever since watching anime i`ve allways loved and admired guy`s bonds and loyalty towards friendship. I feel like they are more pure and honest than the girls. The fighting and the tumbling scenes where also good you can feel their feelings through them too. Acting/Cast - i liked the cast it really fit with the whole story and each of them played really good. The Music - it matched all the feelings they showed. I`m not the type to re-watch dramas but i have a feeling that this one i will. At the end i definitely recommend this to you guys. It`s a MUST see!! ^___^

In a word: beautiful.

Duelist is a painting in motion, where a lot is hinted and nothing is explained.

Some may lament the lack of a true plot, but on my part I believe a movie has different means of portraying a story than a book or a drama. It's based upon images, not necessarily on twists and events. Just like poetry is based upon the evocative power of words, not on facts.

And the direction used the cinematographic tools to its full potential in this movie.

I watched it with my mouth open. Beautiful screenplay, beautiful dance-like fights, beautiful just-hinted erotism.

Yes, the plot can be reduced to a 10 minutes narration. But so are a lot of theatre pieces, played upon style, movement, colour and photography.

Acting is wonderful, and so is the music. This is a ballet, after all.

Rewatch value is obviously high: I'll go back to it whenever I want to just sit and admire a beautiful, colour filled painting.

I thought this movie started off cute (like the other reviewers). The problem I had with this movie is that it seemed rushed. It seemed that events started to happen quickly, and the last 2O minutes of the movie dropped what might have been a 9 down to a 7 for me. The reason I say this is because it just seemed to happen randomly and the scenes went by quickly, feeling rushed. Aside from that, I think I would've liked this story a lot better as a drama, or maybe even a special, because things would've been explained more and you wouldn't get the feeling that you were missing something as you were watching it.

The Cast did a great job, though. The acting was done really well. Part of the reason I watched this was because of Jang Geun Seok haha, and he didn't disappoint. The other actors did really well, too.

The music was absolutely wonderful haha. I downloaded the soundtrack after watching this movie. I loved all the songs that he sang (:

As for rewatching...I'm not sure if I will rewatch it at the moment. I might, might not.

Overall, do I think it's worth watching? Yes, at least for the music and the acting. Well the story, too, just be prepared for some scenes to seem to come out of nowhere, especially towards the end.
