Awakening to love

This guy was safe before he had any emotions. The way to love is the way to sacrifice. It's like love and death are inextricably connected.

I didn't like the styling at all. Hair and clothes of all the actors were horrible! Beyond dated! As if they were in the 80s.

I started watching the Japanese original and I got hooked! I prefer it in many respects.

Worst show of 2024 yet

The acting is absolutely horrible! I dont review much but I had to save others from watching this. The effects are even poorly done. The storyline is lazy and uninventive. I had hopes for this due to the main actors, but i guess good actors cannot fix a bad storyline. Im literally laughing at how fake the blood is.

Good but could be better, waiting for Season 2

Storyline is nice and the 3 brothers casting is picked well and seemed strong protagonists. Di Lin (1st brother) is played well and I really liked that dark aura which also gave him the title, "The Executioner". As the 1st brother, he does a lot more of decision making. His wife is also strong and acting is good, I hope they were given more screen time. 2nd bother, Si Yi Lin is my favorite of these 3 because of his charm. To be honest, his chemistry with Princess Ka Dan is one of the reasons why I managed to watch the 1st season. I replayed every minute, every second of their screen time. And there's the 3rd brother, Zichuan who did a great job the drama, Strange Tales of the Tang Dynasty but unfortunately the chemistry with the annoying princess Ning is big blow to Eternal Brotherhood. He's more suitable for serious roles. He can be funny when he's with the other 2 brothers but the comedy scenes with princes Ning is like a sandpaper scapping my tongue - it was horrible! Lucky there was Si Yi Lin and Ka Dan's scenes that made me forget Ning ning bulshit.

I love enemies to friends/lovers/brothers, I love everything of this show!
I don’t know how they did it but I also love every episode, not one is boring.
I recommend it, I hope the same cast will play in Stay With Me season 2 ❤️

casting is great except main actress ?

let me tell you, it's so great to watch so handsome actors in one place but story is so unfortunate and main actress is my the most least favourite one, i just feel so sorry for actors.
i hope that won't make this kind of mistake again.

Another historic masterpiece?

wonderful ending and an amazing conclusion
For the most wonderful, strongest, most luxurious, and most enjoyable drama so far in 2024
No wonder, as it is the first K-Drama to rely on the latest Hollywood special effects (Virtual Production VP). It is the second work through which the production aims to restore the glories and style of ancient historical series, thus becoming the 34th epic drama of KBS, which was developed to celebrate the half-century anniversary of the channel’s broadcast system.

On the other hand, the Goryeo-Khitan War is a historical epic that aims to create pride and make known the origin of Korea by honoring the exceptional historical achievements during the war of the Goryeo-Khitan kingdoms, whose historical background goes back from the years 1009 to 1020. It is not necessary to be of Korean origin in order to live Their events or be inspired and feel their feelings of pride.
It is the story of many heroes, including the young Emperor Hyeonjong who unified his kingdom under the tolerant leadership of his political mentor, Gang Gam-chan, who led a 26-year war against the Liao dynasty. They succeeded in bringing victory and prosperity to the Goryeo Kingdom and peace in the East Asian region.

⚔️ All this in the plot of a series that tells stories rich in events and close to historical facts throughout 32 episodes, driven by the characters that the writer built, drawn, distributed and developed in a wonderful way. It sometimes reminds us of the series The King of Legend 2010, commonly known as (Clash of Kings).
In addition, it is characterized by deep dialogues with intelligent responses through which the characters’ points of view are explored, whether in their conflict or discussion. With good ossets and perfect music, it worked to enhance the atmosphere
The cast, full of familiar faces from older productions, also brought value to this show especially with the performances of young actor Kim Dong-jun and veteran Choi Soo-jong.

Summary of the statement...
This series captivated me for 4 months of showing since November 2023, so it will leave a big void in my routine on Saturdays and Sundays, especially since it gave me a distinct cinematic experience.
For me, the series “The Goryeo-Khitan War” is more than just a historical drama, it is a ticket back to that time, and it will certainly succeed, even if only slightly, in bringing you back to the days and years in which the K-drama was characterized by epic historical works in the old school style.
On the other hand, it contains all the basic elements that make sageuk wonderful in a modern way, taking advantage of the latest technologies.
It is an inspiring story driven by characters and balanced with constructive dialogues in the plot of a series rich in exciting and poignant events, with music that helps convey feelings and immerse oneself in the atmosphere.
True, it may be intended for history buffs or fans of serious historical drama, but I think even if you are not one of them, this is definitely a drama worth watching.

Women hitting on men

That's a very refreshing view of the music industry, where #metoo dominates the last years, as if men are always on the lookout for women to exploit. Here, we see all the female roles hitting on men! Even this innocent young girl drools over the mature musician/doctor. I like the resolution to all the romantic entanglements, where men retain their integrity! Like Masaki Suda, as well, where he doesn't end up with his elder, but supports his friend till the end. Even the female idol confesses her admiration to the younger image of the musician...

Romantic Comedy turns to Humanity Self Reflection

My Demon is endorsed to me through my colleagues who thought that Song Kang plays a character to my liking (Guwon) and boy, isn't he? My Demon is not the first fiction that portray demon as a charming and nonchalant men, lean to heartless as he doesn't possessed humanlike emotion. His encounter to a matchmaking and crossed fate to Dohee starts an evolution to himself and both his role as a demon sent by God.

As a picky romance enjoyer, I think the quality of romantic relationship My Demon portrays are not my liking and some of the actions are considered to me invite cringes rather than heartwarming. I think the one that not intended to be romantic sinks into me better (especially towards the end after they learn about their tangled fate.) The comedy itself shows better on the side characters rather than the main characters, but I think it is because the complicated trope they share together.

I ended up completed My Demon through the influence of how the Demon character deals with God and its role to follow its heart as it involves himself in human business. It is intriguing from the start of the name choice for Guwon (that means salvations.) In this drama, he is portrayed as a savior for people in desparation but actually really, he is a false hop trying to stir human away from God, I think that is interesting and shows a philosophy the writer possess within themselves. It is then continued in the story of how Guwon evolution to be a demon, a change in faith and bet alongside prayers changes him as a humanlike demon. As a non-human and human relationship enjoyer, it gives an interesting perspective for me. Many Christian values also shared in this drama as the core understanding of Demon itself. The potrayal of God as a woman who takes cover to see human intention also takes a valuable interpretation, I think (I am not a Christian myself, but the saying God is everywhere around you are common in Abrahamic religions.)

The family conflict and classes in this drama is exclusive to the riches and I think that alone is a foundation to not make the drama stir from its conflict, again, maybe it is a tad bit boring at some times and unrelatable for some or many watchers. Me, myself even doesn't really gets it about the business conflict as the main issue of how the family is breaking up and turning their backs among each other. But this conflict, align with the political issues showed in the second half of the drama as the modern issues of human civilizations and challenges are pretty relatable and thus evokes a sentimental reaction for me. I think it is not very unusual for us to experience discomfort through our lack of priviledge and pressure of classes we are in among the society.

Afterall, it is an enjoyable drama, especially after digging in to more than the romance. Song Kang has been an absolute eye candy and his charisma is flowing through together with Kim Yoojung who has a wide range of emotion especially in desparation and joy. I have to bite my nails and knocking the door through some scenes because it is fun! Well done! Digging more tropes like this in Korean drama and perspective.

The BL Lack of Communication Trope Pushed to its Limits.

I'll start by saying - The show is watchable, just very disappointing.

At it's core this show is like Not Me ( stripped down, just a better version of this show) and wanted the energy of KinnPorsche - Without earning anything those shows did.

The show is confused energetically hopping quickly between a mystery, thriller, romance, softcore simulated p*rn, while attempts at "comedy".

There were too many characters for the plotline once things fell into place. The story tries so hard to involve everyone in the central plot that it makes everything make LESS sense.

I'll just list out some spoiler thoughts instead of getting to lengthy.

- Porche, First and Captain were all written terribly. The spoiled child into cold emotionally stunted adult thing is writable, these all are just the spoiled child refused any accountability. The moments we're meant to feel bad for them are BEYOND unearned, in fact, the story goes out of its way to NOT justify their motivations for just screwing with people or the things around them. Even more importantly, gives us no motivation for the group to even be friends. Zouey for as self-righteous as they try to make him late in the show for red herring reasons, has 0 reason to associate with any of these guys given to us.

- After episode maybe 3 or 4, the next 8 to 9 episodes are ALL characters lying without any HINT of motivations for their lies to be found in the series. It spreads from character to character to the point that instead of twists, the story gets predictable. Their lies make less sense in context of the surrounding plots. Aob and Prom had little reason to lie in the time frames they did that would have provided any benefit to them, or protection.

- The "daddy" is unearned. He's the big bad sure whatever. No character ever has motivation to protect him, every single character seems to know exactly who he is, but forgets who he is and what he is behind when it is convenient to the plot. In earlier episodes no one knows who their boss was, in the last 3 episodes they all acknowledge random bits of history with him, working with him, or working directly for him.

- The locker room had the lighting of a dramatic indie film, including messages projected onto characters, intimate light shows, shaped mirrors in locker rooms refracting dramatic lights. Did they start here and run out of budget or something?

- Nont being painted as the bad guy for plot reasons after everything the friends did was so eyeroll inducing. They all basically got spun into horrible situations, knowing who Porche's boyfriend was, due to their actions and their actions alone. I understand after the unfortunate last episode, it was a red herring but ugh.

I don't like to just compare shows, but this is flat out a worse version of Not Me.
It had an intriguing start but bogged itself down with an endless cast and then contrived writing trying to link it all together and then an insulting ending assuming the show will be enough of a success for a season 2.

The cast were all most very attractive at least.

NO REGRETT!!

One of the best horror mystery movies I have seen in 2024. The plot was amazing and the acting/chemistry was incredible. Throughout the show, there was no time for a dull moment. I felt very engaged as well as all the emotions the 2 main actors were portraying. I love this show so much and wish it would just last a little bit longer. But as for every joy ride, it must eventually come to a stop. The show was very fulfilling. Highly recommend anyone who is considering watching. Thank you for all your hard work. I look forward to the official release so I can support the show properly. As of now, I will miss you.

Great romance thriller drama

I don't understand why this drama is not being talked about. It was nice and bright watching it. The female lead's and Yoomi's character development was great at the end. Solomon really suited the cheerful character and both slayed the body switch role. I just felt a little bit cringe in the beginning but it was fine later. The episodes are also short and a great recommendation for someone looking for a short drama, to watch. It deserves more recognition. I also liked the fact that usually in dramas the male lead is the serious one, here it was the opposite. The chemistry was good too and they covered the back story well. The underdog characters stole my heart. It wasn't boring at all. The romance was light too.
Overall, I really enjoyed the drama and looking forward to more like this.

The importance of integrity in branding or rebranding in a business

This drama was aired at an appropriate time. Indeed, we are dealing with concerns of choosing the right products from loads of it in the market at present. As consumers, customers, or clients, we care for the most effective and quality goods within our buying capacity while business owners are mindful of the sales and profits, regardless if they are doing an honest business. In this scenario, it's inevitable for a brand war, and naturally, brand owners would seek the help of either marketing professionals or famed social media influencers. But before that, it's imperative to secure your intellectual property and have it legally registered to the concerned organizations for authentication of ownership. This is where the story of this drama revolves and places the main leads in a situation of soul-swapping, revenge, betrayal, and romantic encounters.

Lomon, wow, I think he's a hot young man with an absolute talent in acting. You'd agree with me if you were done watching this. He doesn't have the most perfect look but he has a good register on screen. I don't know if I am over-praising him right now, but my impression of him was his presence would not miss your eyes. I'd like to see him in a chaebol role someday for my confidence that he can perfectly justify the role of an elite. Kim Ji Eun has a good reputation in acting. It was just here in the soul-swapping scenes, that her portrayal was a little persuasive. I was having a hard time convincing myself to see her as the character of So Eun Ho compared to her original role slaying a complete immersion as someone with the biggest annoying self-righteousness and arrogance.

The conflict of revenge came unpredicted to me and it was an impressive crisis plot development. Other dramas use manipulation to fool you, not the case here. I was caught off guard and didn't see the two main leads seriously clashing and intensifying a big tension between them in the remaining episodes. For how it will be resolved, suit yourself to watch it.

I appreciate this drama for the theme itself. The elements of humor, conflict, plot, and portrayal have gone passed the metrics I set for enjoyment. Then again, seeing branding and/or marketing as the focus of the story appeared to be fresh hence, attracted my attention as someone expanding my interests to other dramas taking the risks of producing the non-traditional.

what happened ???

obviously this needed more than 6 episodes. the story was so amazing that even with the many question left unanswered and dropped plots I considered this 10/10 when we found out who her female friend really is. Like, I'm sorry but that was too good. its so upsetting it only got 6 eps it needed 10 or 12 to get everything right. everything felt rushed and not given time to settle properly.
With the rushed and mysterious ending it feels like they were fishing for a season 2. Maybe they didn't have enough money for more than 6 eps so they tried to make the ending mysterious in hopes it would be a hit and the fans would beg for more. unfortunately for us taste havers, the kdrama audience lacks taste so were never getting that second season. I mean the Nam Joo Hyuk stans are in the reviews complaining that this is "weird" ... like duh you dummy.

anyway this was great and now I'm buying the novel to get all the answer I need.
