Fan service

Honestly, this felt like fan service to me. Everyone (including me!) absolutely loved these two in “Once we get Married” last year. At the time there was so much talk about their chemistry and how much kissing there was early in the show, which totally worked because of their chemistry, but this felt a little over the top for me. They kissed so much it was just boring and the chemistry wasn’t as good as it was in Once..

I also thought some of the men just got a little too goofy. The Doctor character did a complete 180 and turned into a goofy lovelorn sap after being super buttoned up for the first half of the show. Xin Yi also turned into this puppy dog like character following along after Min Hui like he had no job or anything to do. It just seemed a little childish. I did like the younger brother character who was with Cao Mu. Cao Mu was great, tho I had such a hard time not seeing her as the rival “campus beauty” from Love O2O >.<
All in all I did like the drama but I felt Xin Yi’s character got a little boring.
The woman power stuff was great and they were definitely sending a message about speaking out about workplace sexual harassment, obviously a super important message, tho there were moments it felt a little like it was some infomercial about how you should speak out. Like, yes, we get it.

The kid was very cute and the many playing moments with Xin Yi were so sweet and fun to watch, but it felt like the point of having the kid in the show kindof petered off in the last half of the show. He was really only featured until they got together then they sortof abandoned his character I felt. Other than using him as a constant joke as to why Min Hui and Xin Yi seemed to keep getting interrupted right before they were about to shack up. lol. Tho, honestly that’s relatable, I can attest as a parent with small children.

And of course the bad guys - it was satisfying, of course, when the bad guys gets it in the end, tho I didn’t understand why Min Hui didn’t call the cops on him the two times he basically tried to kidnap her into his car and was grabbing her etc. cuz that was messed.

so cringey that it's fun

First of all, let me say i totally fell for the Hia's of this drama, who are both handsome and talented. I could watch the series just for them. I cannot say the same abt their partners, who act like some retarded kids, always afraid of their lovers and trying to please them. Their small frame also doesnt help to match their dominant Hia's! It's like both the rich and handsome CEO's got themselves a slave to toy with. It's so weird that its funny! Of course it shouldnt be in any way compared with real life!
The earrings and the ballet socks men wear in BL dramas add to the cringey feeling. Is this a code or something?
Fashion, settings, hot moments are enjoyable.
Put your mind at rest and watch it.

Disappointing ending

I am upset with the ending. The whole time I was rooting for his revenge which was fun but the old man did not receive what I wanted for him, instead we just felt pity for him. I wanted to be happy watching him be punished. I respect the writers for showing a diff side of the old man but c'mon the whole plot was revenge!! For that reason, I rate the show 8/10. I have truly loved watching this show every weekend <3 It has been one of my favourite parts of my week, but again that ending was disappointing

Was going to give it high marks…

This drama started out nice but then the last two episodes tanked it for me. They should have ended it at episode 21 at 10 minutes 40 seconds into it and added a clean ending. That. Did. Not. Happen!

Storyline - needed some work and not just the story but some of the casts acting was not good. Like I said strong start then the ending got weird. Seriously, if you are going to do a plot twist… make it a plot twist but with a happy ending. This ending sucked! It started in episode 21 (the same as listed above) with the ground shaking and their world shattering and then in episode 22 she wakes up in the hospital and then we watch their whole encounter all over again. They run over their first encounter together like so many times it got boring. Same thing over and over and over. If you watch it you will get the point.

I really REALLY had high hopes for a great ending but when I got to the tail end of episode 21 I knew it was a goner for me. Sigh… just write a decent ending! That is all we want lol.

Acting/Cast - I have to ask … why does the ML always star in these mini cliche dramas? He is a good looking guy and not too bad at acting but I only see him in these minis. They do him no justice. I think I would like to see him in a nicer drama. The FL was not bad. I like her. Some of the other cast needed work though.

Rewatch - ? ??
I don’t know… honestly if it was not for that ending ruining it all I would have said YES in a heartbeat but it ruined it for me. Maybe I will watch it later on down the road I did give it 5/10 on rewatch. That at least is a 50/50 for me.

An okay show that I got attached to (ESPECIALLY ThreeZo my bbs)

The show itself was okay, like the plot had a few plot holes and left a few arcs hanging BUT I really enjoyed myself somehow. I thought the characters and the cast really carried the show, that you just wanted to watch to see what happens next.

It was overall a really fluffy show, but it had surprising dark themes that I wish they touched on a bit more. I also wanted a bit more exposition; I felt like we were dropped in the middle of a story in the beginning without much backstory.

But as I've said, the characters were really fun and each had their own colour. I used to not really pay attention to ForceBook, but I kind get them now, they're really fun to watch. I'm a new fan. Also shout out to the fluffy side couple ThreeZo, who made me cry every time they appeared on screen for some reason, so dang smol and cute. Wish FlukeOhm get their own show hehe.

I honestly didn't have high expectations (if any at all!) about this "Crime Family", but it has really surprised me in such a tremendously positive way!
The premise is pretty absurd but still quite interesting, and I'm happy to be able to say that it was very well developed, coming up with a short (heck, TOO short! >____________<) drama that stands out for its originality (LOL, those "quiz" scenes are a) really creative, and b) a nice, witty touch - most of all considering how they contain the key message of the series! ^___-)
The cast did a very good job (with a particular mention for Ohkura Koji who's always brilliant, imho), the music and production value are OK, and all in all it's a cute lil' drama with a wholesome message about the importance of family. Highly recommended! ^___-

Here I am, once again (after "Informa") writing a very negative review to a widely acclaimed drama, which I couldn't help but find really, really terrible.
Believe it or not, I don't get any pleasure doing so, quite the opposite: I'm a lot happier when I can write positive reviews and explain why I deem a drama fabulous, rather than horrible! But I believe in sincerity, so I gotta tell it how I see it. And the way I see it (again, I'll use the same words I wrote about "Informa") is, this is *pure Hollywood*. Which might be totally fine for everyone else, of course. But in my book that's tantamount to saying it's *cr@p*, sorry.

As typical for Hollywoodian series, here too we have a very well done first episode (I honestly loved it and was expecting a wholesome, clean, deep drama, filled with lovely, ethical messages - hence why I hated it more and more with every subsequent episode, alas) followed by a disgracefully shallow, silly and ultimately, obnoxiously boring rest of the series.
What annoyed me the most (heck, "annoyed" ain't even the proper word - "deeply insulted" is more like it!) is the constant, disgusting propaganda of Western "values" - in this case, one of the most incredibly sexist production I've ever had the misfortune to watch: NOT A SINGLE MALE CHARACTER could be described as a decent human being. They're all liars, cheaters, perverts; they're all lame, stupid, and useless; and according to this horrible script it's okay to have fun at their expenses (the scenes where the fat guy appears and they start clapping, with such a mocking, distasteful vibe! Apparently, fat-shaming is okay as long as males are the - big - butt of the joke?! >___<), it's okay to steal from them, to despise them, to stalk and menace them, to hit them and make them bleed, and even to plan to poison them!!! The only (partial) exception - and incidentally, the only love interest of the borderline sociopathic FL in all five of her lives: but of course, a billionaire! Materialistic much?! (BTW, that detail alone is pretty ironic when we consider that the writer is a middle-aged male, definitely not particularly attractive, who's loaded and has married a former idol much younger than him - where are all the "age-gap nazis" always ready to comment with an "Eeeeeeeewwww!!!!" when we actually need them? - now you'll see one more reason this all thing reeks of Hollywood to me - Hollywood, where they could keep a straight face producing ultrafeminist stuff all while having that ***** Weinstein at the helm for decades. URGH)

Another thing that really bothered me was indeed the FL: as I said, a borderline sociopath who doesn't help others 'cause it's the right thing to do and it's good, but only so as to "complete missions" to rake up "points" so that she'll be able to reincarnate as a "human"...such a terrible let down, as far as I'm concerned.

I can't fairly judge the (great) cast, given the terribly poor (again, hollywoodian) script they had to work with. Take for example the second half of the last episode: 20+ minutes of utterly idiotic, idle chat, TWENTY WHOLE MINUTES of BLA-BLA-BLA where nothing even remotely intelligent is said! T_____T
As the good old Zetsubou-sensei would put it: "Zetsuboushita!" >__________<

Very well confectioned, true. But ultimately a waste of bytes.
If this is where J-dramas are headed (I hope not but fear so), I'll have to limit myself to older productions or to C-dramas in the next future.

All this imvho, as always. Feel free to disagree but please respect my opinion. Peace! ^___-

A fluffy nonsense

I Honestly don’t have the wherewithal to write this review. This started so good. It was funny and cute. But it ended up being a cute fluffy middle school romance drama that disappointed me greatly. I don’t know if it’s because of his age or what the reason was that made the kiss scenes so extremely bad. But that’s just an excuse IMO as Wang AnYu was the same age when he acted in “Falling Into You” and he over delivered there (I keep saying that actors/actress and CDrama directors need to go take kissing lessons from that drama). If it was only just the issue of the kiss scenes been terrible i could have tolerated it but no, when they finally confessed to having feelings for each other we got the most horribly awkward tv couple of all time. The awkwardness was so damn painful to watch and it was illogical. It didn’t make any logical sense why these two people who have been living together for so long will be this extremely awkward with each other.
Like I said i don’t know if it was the age of Lin Yi or because of the director that the kiss scenes were so bad but am just glad that Tang Xiao Tian the SML made it up to Xing Fei aka FL 2yrs later in their own drama My Little Happiness. If you want to watch an adult romance with better plot featuring 2 out of the 4 main leads in this drama then go watch My Little Happiness. Enough said.
Don’t even get me started on the second couple. The FL was in love with the SML since highSchool but the SML kept putting off starting a relationship with her and disappointing her so many times, when the FL finally got over him, the light bulbs went off and he realized that he’s in love with her but alas it was too late. One of the FLs best friends fell in love with said SML even knowing the situation-ship between her “friend” aka the FL and the SML, that was icky alone on its own for me but the major eye roll moment was when they tried to sell me that the SML has now falling in love with said FLs friend. The way the feelings happened went from 0-100 and was so super unrealistic, he was crying over the FL but less than a week/month he’s now in love with the FLs friend, puhhhhh-lease.
I was going to give this a 2 or 3/10 to be honest but the last episode was nice so it made me change it to 5/10 but that is all this deserves IMO.
I won’t be rewatching this horrible awkward painful experience that’s for sure

It will probably take me longer to write the review of this "series" than it took me to watch it. Or maybe not since there is nothing much to say about it.

Crush on you is a series of ads plugging the cosmetics from a thai version of Sephora stores. One boy is a salesman the other a customer who has a crush on the him so he keeps going back to the store to see him and buy additional cosmetics. We do get some "significant" banter between the leads but the actors cannot act though they are pretty to see and have cute smiles and colorful sweaters. One min episodes do not let you really discover any significant music though I liked the song at the end of ep 1 which was cut short after 20seconds.

Vertical dramas are not my cup of tea, really! But I only wasted 7 min on it (with additional 10 to write this !) so it is not too bad! I've done worse before...

Manga Readers will be Disappointed

The actors who played the leads were good, but they changed the original story so much that it detracted from the story. They took away Kaneda's spunk and made strange, and took away Yanase's sense of humor and made him more boring. They also created unnecessary angst that was not in the manga. The couple in the manga had a sex life, in the series they barely kissed.

In the manga, Kaneda moved to Canada to be with Yanase, and returned to Japan when his year was over, 3 months after Yanase. That guy did not come from Canada to mess with Jun. Once they confessed, they were lovey-dovey.

I recommend only reading the manga, or reading the manga after watching the series. I was unable to appreciate the series because I read the manga first a few years ago.

Disappointing

I think the issue here was the writing of the characters. I love watching crime dramas, and I thought I would be really into this based on the synopsis, but it unfortunately missed the mark. I've seen Jang Kiyong in other shows and really enjoyed his performance, but his character in this one totally fell flat. You're waiting for something to happen between him and the female lead, waiting for his cold exterior to crack, and you never really get that. His character isn't very likeable, and even though you're rooting for him, you're not really sure why.

I think they also tried to do a bit too much weird worldbuilding and almost sci-fi kinda stuff. It felt like it should have been introduced earlier or simplified in order for it to make sense. I feel like there was a lot of potential wasted on this one.

Unfinished and Unsatisfying

While watching this drama, I LOVED it. I had recently finished Devil Judge with Ji Sung and wanted to watch something else with him in it and this seemed like the perfect drama for me. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and it was super fun to watch.

Then, as we neared the end, I started to wonder how they could wrap this show up. So many loose ends, so much unsolved still. I was excited to see how they would pull it off!! And then they didn't pull it off at all. It felt like when an American show thinks it'll be renewed for another season but it gets canceled and doesn't have an actual ending to it. If it had a proper ending, it would've been a FANTASTIC drama.

Only good if you're a big fan of EarthMix

Out of all of EarthMix's projects, this one is by far the worst. While the two have great chemistry, who thought that this plot was a good idea?

Win (Mix) is in a car accident with his sister, Lin, and when he wakes up he's in his sister's body. He then embarks on a journey with his former friend Korn (Earth) in order to retrieve holy water to return to his body. Along this journey, past issues between Win and Korn resurface and as the two learn to get along again, feelings between them emerge - but does Korn have feelings for Win, or does he only care about the body his soul is transported in?

The entire conflict of this show being "is he into me or is he into me because I'm in my sister's body" is crazy. What even. Regardless, watching the relationship between Win and Korn change was very enjoyable, and the fairly slow burn friends-to-lovers was fun to watch. But thank god it was only 10 episodes because I don't think I could have watched much more.
