Excellent Part 1, Unsatisfying part 2

Story: I feel like part 1 set us up really well and made it seem like there would be a long, well drawn out and elaborately satisfying revenge. Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun kept on hinting at what she would do, however; I don't feel like part 2 lived up to the hype of part 1.

Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun was absolutely tortured during her younger days, so I feel like the perpetrators did not receive the same amount of punishment. Even ruining their careers, public image is not effective because they could easily get it back with some money, influence and connections, which they all have. I feel like the perpetrators did not feel the same pain as Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun. Tbh, the deaths of some of the perpetrators meant that they could never fully repent and atone for their harm done to others, so I feel like that punishment was an easier way out for them.

Acting: This is by far Song Hye Kyo career best performance. She was utterly convincing in showing the deepest and darkest sides of someone who is solely living to exact revenge on her perpetrators. You root for her all the way, but also feel sorry for her that she was tortured and is now living her life just to bring about justice. She also showed great character growth and development by slowly allowing for feelings other than hatred and anger, as she slowly allowed for some love and light into her life. This gives a message that there is hope to live a good life and to look forward to the future, no matter what we have endured in the past. Brilliant acting from all the cast, the perpetrators acted superbly without shame, never holding back their terrible nature. The supporting cast really made you emotionally invested in the story and in seeing justice prevail.

Overall, a solid production that had some excellent moments. Unfortunately I finished the drama feeling so unsatisfied after seeing everything that the perpetrators put the FL and other victims through. Another unsatisfying end to a kdrama with so much potential.

Dylan Wang does it again!!

Gosh Dylan Wang is on fire with his dramas, all of them I LOVED!
I love him in these roles where he's "evil" but is actually a softie. He was so intelligent and sweet in this series. I love the FL too, she's a really good actress and I loved her character. Bu Yinlou is seriously so smart and the two have such good chemistry!!!

ALSO the other two couples are so flipping cute!! Loved the progress between them and it really gave more depth into the series!!
And the villains were so good too lmao it was so annoying to see the actress Zengli as the villain because she was also annoying in Love Like the Galaxy.

Sadly, he second half of the series kind of started to drag a bit. I was really wondering when the King would find out. Other than the storyline feeling rushed a bit in the end, I really enjoyed the series!!

This is top tier for a mini web series!!!

I stumped upon this drama cause I watched Chao Yuqi's previous work- Love @ 2nd Sight. I am very glad I watched that one first and this one afterwards lol. Cause I would be been so disappointed if it was vice versa.

Story: The plot was basic but they did it great! I really liked how we got a bite size version of a longer romcom series.
Acting/Cast: The two leads have really good chemistry!! I loved how adorable they were together. Both of the actors did a really good job! And I loved the twist at the end where the ML is actually the son of the other company.

Overall, love this series and it's a must watch!!

Slice of life drama

I loved this drama. It had a nostalgic and comfortable atmosphere that I enjoyed sitting in with each episode.. They really tried to give all the characters screen time and their stories were told completely which i liked but the down side was that with so few episodes and so many supporting characters and stories to be told i struggled to fully connect with them. I loved that there were different family dynamics portrayed, different family types and their experiences . I also enjoyed seeing how our mains grew as individuals and all possessed some trouble or another that was relatable. There wasn't much focus on relationships but there was just enough focus for me to remain invested in their stories and also relate to what they went through. The overall story concept was actually a good one. I struggled with the time hops, they worked well in story telling but at times I didn’t know where we were in the time line and finally the story of Chompu and Nak- not many shows really showcase disability, their hardships and how society often writes them off or ostracise them (especially poorer countries). All in all a nice emotional roller coaster life drama

It's not it....

I couldn't stand the lead actor Kim Min Jong. He looks he's in his 40s but acts and dress like he's in his 20s. Both male sucked. All the relationships sucked, romantic and non-romantic ones. By the end, I couldn't care less who would end up with who.

Kind of meh to me

Hmm... I don't know where to begin. I don't hate this drama but at the same time, this drama doesn't really stick to me. I love the CG effects, I love the setups and also the outfits but that's kind of it. The story is not bad, I think the scriptwriter did a good job on storytelling the whole twin background, but it's not impressive at all.

Again, this is one of those dramas with never ending resurrections, rising from the dead, plot twists with final redemptions. Probably after watching a few too many dramas of those sort, I am starting to be numb to all these "plot twists". They probably should have stuck with one thing or another - either kill the character off or don't kill the character.

The main characters do not really have good chemistry in my opinion. They seem okay as individuals but when grouped together, there is no chemistry. You know, in some dramas, the main characters vibe so well with the people around them that you enjoy their scenes with their family or good friends in the drama? This drama is definitely lacking in that area. Even the romance chemistry between the main characters seem a bit off. Perhaps the actors are not really experienced? I don't know. I just can't emotionally connect with these characters.

Overall, I did finish the drama. It was kind of a good "background" drama too. Something you put on TV and just let it play in the background.

Not as good as I thought it would be sadly & MAJOR annoying characters

Well, I was quite excited for this drama- Minho, Chae Soobin and the storyline all seemed great. Idk maybe I had too high of expectations but I didn't really enjoyed it as much and almost dropped it tbh.

First, I'm not a big fan of the FL's character; she just gave very bad vibes- first she cheated on her BF and acts like nothing happened when they get back together; like this was just glanced over. I mean obviously the writers had the two leads sleep together again for the plot but it just didn't make sense... And secondly I didn't really like the way they portrayed her when she was working- she always got backlash, was always taking other peoples shit and she never like stood up for herself???? Anyways, did not like Chae Soobin in this series- liked her way better in Rookie Cops.

And Minho was the same lmao I LOVE HIM but he wasn't that great in this series...um idk if his character was just flat or he's just bad at acting??? But the ML was boring and tbh the two didn't really give off chemistry as a couple.

UGH and seriously all the other characters were so annoying, they were so over dramatic!!! I almost had to stop watching cause of how bad it was.

The only characters I really loved were Seonho- she gave BADASS WOMAN VIBES and I loved it!! ALSO her new BF way better than her ex. I also adored Joseph and his assistant JD, their work relationship is goals. And I love Joseph's mom, she's literally so sweet and supportive!!!

LASTLY can we give some love to the SML because I would of chosen him tbh lol. He was so sweet to the FL. It's actually quite sad how people aren't over their exs and they start new relationships but in reality, they're not 100% into their current relationship...AND that was basically the story of the FL LOL.

An Excellent Drama

I'll begin by saying. I did read the manga before I watched the drama. The drama kept true to the manga (original work). I'm glad that the drama kept true to the original work. So very glad. I thought the drama was excellent. I also thought the drama was raw, heavy, depressing, and pretty hardcore. The cinematography, color grading, and music were atmospheric.

Now onto the actors. The actors who played the main characters in the drama were good choices. They were pretty on point with the characters. And the same goes for the supporting actors. I think the main and supporting actors portray the characters really well. I think they did a phenomenal job.

Now, I want to talk about the NSFW scenes. The NSFW scenes were so intense. And also, the scenes were realistically shot. The kisses and sex were so raw and realistic. I must say, I was pretty hot and bothered by the kiss and sex scenes. I had to wash my eyes with holy water after watching those scenes (not literary). Moreover, the kiss scenes and sex scenes will live in my memory forever. Some scenes from the drama made me tear up.

I just want to say Nishina Masumi and Kusakabe Ritsu's relationship was troubled, complex, and bittersweet. And on that note. The drama made me an emotional wreck. Just so you know, the ending was ambiguous, but the last chapter of the manga was also ambiguous.

Fantastic sisterly and family bonding drama - A tear jerking worthy, to watch drama

"Hello Beautiful Life" is a story about siblings and the family bond as they go through life.

I am watching about 25 episodes already, and I like this drama, and I think Rachel Mao did a good job in carrying this drama. The character she played, Sun Xiang, was adorable, lovable, passionate about cooking, and innocent. Her sister Sun Xin is a career-driven person who protects her sister but also financially provides for and supports her family.

Zhang Kai-Li is a seasoned actress who played motherly supported roles in many dramas; however, I was not too fond of the character she played in this drama because her character is an overbearing mother who thinks she has her daughter's best interests in mind. She is also a tough and strict mother and wife to her husband. She has no respect for her husband, and I don't blame her because her husband is a weak and useless man.

As the story progresses and they faced adversities but the bond of sisterly and family love unwavering. The acting of the entire ensemble was phenomenal, especially the two FL actresses. Overall, I enjoy the drama, and it is a bit slow and draggy but engaging at the same time. I am giving it a 8.0 rating.

Be ready to hate SKorea

What a major f* up was this show. At some points you'd feel extreme pride for the fenale lead who can protect herself, fight for her rights, dominate male oriented workspace, bearing child out of wedlock, freaking drive herself to the hospital after her water breaks and so so much more. But on the very next moment you see a society that fails women again and again. And there comes our romantist kdramas where strong women are happily defeated by the man they love because love is everything you need in your life.

Wonderful 2 hour movie (or series) with great actors

A very cute & romantic mini series (or a 2 hour movie) of 2 ep. with Kim Kang Woo ❤❤❤.

Plot: a ML disgusted with life, survives in a restaurant with his grandfather. He recruits a mysterious FL (refugee from the North, pursued by smugglers/traffickers).

Well played, well written, realistic.
A little gem!

this show isn’t blooming

The first episode of this drama is point blank amazing. It sets up a really good story with a strong female lead. I expected this show to stay that way, to stay just as engaging as the first... but it didn't

Our Blooming Youth leans more towards a political mystery than an action. I expected a lot more fighting from the female lead since she was really good at it in the first episode. Her character is just weird to me, she is supposed to be really good at solving mysteries but the way the audience knows that is pretty dull. They just say she did it with her father and was good at it, there barely is any flashbacks to her life with her family. That is an issue.

Min Jae Yi wants to find the culprit behind her fathers murder. For some reason that is intertwined with the crown prince because of a letter she got. The letter tells her to protect the crown prince and her father does as well as she's dying. She has to disguise herself as a male to not get caught and to investigate. So that was what I can tell after the first few episodes, and now onto episode 14 it is the same thing. She is still disguised and the progress is really slow. The more I watched the more annoyed I became of her character. She does a lot of talking where it sounds like complaining or whining… at the beginning she wielded a sword and was super cool- what now? Where did that go? She just talked and confronts people.. from an outside perspective she clearly would be annoying.. it hurts because she CAN fight. But there is little to no action here and it comes in abrupt spurts.

Of course this is all my opinion. But come on now, I can't help but compare. Shows with. a mystery driven plot can do well, and they are able to be engaging. The whole disguise and mystery aren't working because the build up was so poor. They don't have any flashbacks of Min Jae Yi being young and showing how she cares for her family, there is no threat to her because in the end I know she is a main character and there will be no harm. The steaks for their mission to find the culprit is so low and lost. A lot of this drama is filler scenes with the main gang hanging out... crown prince, Min Jae, her maid friend, her maid friend teacher.

It was ok at first, but it slowly made me become so bored. I am not stupid and I can understand what is going on. I watched 50 episodes of the Untamed and knew all the characters names, convictions, why they did what they did, the mystery. The Untamed just did it right. It engaged me because it took a careful setup to show why these characters are doing what they are doing without telling you. I wish Min Jae's character took time to reflect on the deaths of her family, they could have developed them as characters rather than them being dead. That way I would want to find out just as much as she did, I would have a reason to care. Right now it is just the plot. Her family is dead and she loves them just because. I mean of course they are her family but they could show that bond between them and show how much it pains her to have it cut off rather than having the audience make it up for themselves.

Straight up some characters don't need as much time and time is wasted on them. The teacher friend guy in the pink outfit is a comic relief and at this point the maid is to. The interesting characters like the crown prince really take a back seat. It is such a shame, the crown prince before him died- I mean they could have him feel guilt and shame. He does.. a little.. but the story goes and cuts to any other place but his.

He is involved with the mystery and is supposed to have a curse on him. I think the writers forgot about the curse after a few episodes. His arm works, he is just paranoid. It is fine but he is one dimensional, slowly being flattened by the writing. His relationship is supposed to be a blooming romance with Min Jae Yi, and they apparently were childhood friends? That whole plot thread serves no purpose whatsoever. It is just a cheap way to have a connection between them because there is no chemistry or spark.

Min Jae Yi liked who she was betrothed to (which is another interesting character I wish they would actually spend time on). They spend time on characters, but its all talking.. its so boring and is all over the place. I could know these characters names but I don't. It's not my fault and I am capable, but I shouldn't have to look things up and write things down when watching a drama. I don't hate the drama, I just am so disappointed.
Min Jae Yi kind of gets annoying because she isn't even doing what she wanted to in the first place. Half of the time its her looking worried and remembering and failing to remember, I don't really see her do anything.........

Park Hyung Sik's drama Happiness that I watched before this served him much better. Just watch that if you like him. He is cute and not cold, not saying he is bad at acting here. I just do not like his character. The crown prince is bipolar I swear, like he flips on a dime and has people he trusts and then doesn't trust. The only reason why is because he's paranoid.

Don't even get me started on the villain. The villain I do not even know the name of. He just wants power I think? He sucks as a character and a villain and a threat, he has done nothing other than probably killing Jae Yi's family and other people. But I don't care anymore.

I have to finish this drama because I'm almost done. Maybe its a slow burn. Then again a slow burn should be engaging. So I recommend to people that like political dramas and that's it? It's just boring and not doing what it is supposed to do. This is completely unbiased, maybe it's not my style. Still I have watched similar things... Iljimae is older but a much better revenge plot mystery drama, watch that instead. This show is so bland.

Now by the end of it I become so .. bored? I don’t know honestly. It felt like a satire and a disservice to the actors at the last episode. I’m talking about the twin brother plot line. That was so cheap because they didn’t show how this kid existed, that he was his brothers shadow. Like he was there as a plot device rather than a character and I could write a whole essay on why he is and how it could’ve been done better. They crammed so much but it still was watered down and I didn’t care. Now that’s just me. But this drama honestly isn’t all that it was cracked up to be. Maybe it’s because I expected more tension overall, romance wise, plot wise, it was just standard and compared to older historical dramas I’ve seen it didn’t have a lot of heart. It’s too bad honestly.

In the end good guy wins bad guy looses. Why are they good and bad though? You don’t get that- it’s just your main characters. That is all, no backstories further than what you knew at episode 2. The main group of characters don’t get developed and neither does the bad guy. That is how I sum this up. What about the curse? It’s not real. What about the family that was murdered? It’s just the bad guy that did it? Why? I don’t know because he’s bad … I’m sorry I’m trying my best here.

The reason why I am so harsh is because of the potential. There are parts where this show is good, but at the end I lost all interest that I don’t care. It’s a shame to me.

A visualy stunning historical kdrama!

This kdrama absolutely wrecked me. I'm writing this on my second watch, and it took me a whole year to rewatch this series because I always end up sobbing my eyes out lmao, but it definitely has a high rewatch value. You can tell by the stunning cinematography and production and the characters and the overall story that they made this kdrama with a lot of care. I definitely recommend this series; I feel like even people who don't usually enjoy kdramas would love this! Specially people who love period dramas!

Moonlight Chicken made me watch

was not interested in EarthMix acting before Moonlight Chicken. But after i felt in love with the drama went on watching spree.
loved this one as well. The story was good, the chemistry over the top. However, was not Earth and Mix who stole my hearth in This one but the main female lead. she was just amazing playing.
Also i liked how they addressed the topic of parents not accepting homosexuality of their kid. Unfortunately reality is its easier when its not your child.
Looking forward for more EarthMix work

Shall we eat some ramyon...later?

When I started watching Kdramas a few years ago (thank you covid!), I was struck by the place eating and drinking take in these series: the characters eat huge amounts of food and drink until they fall into a drunken stupor! And when they emerge from it, they continue eating and drinking late at night! What was even more surprising was that no one had anything to say about the unseemly behaviour of those drunk people: often they are considered cute and people promptly fall in love with such drunks!

All The Liquors is just the same but a BL, apparently. A cold and serious chef keeps bumping into the drunken JiYu and falls for his dubious charms. THE END

JiYu is a drunk, almost an alcoholic, barely functioning during the day because he spends nights drinking himself into oblivion in order to forget that he had been dumped by his boyfriend on Christmas. Ten months on, he is still drinking heavily every day, and drunk and hungry one afternoon he stumbles into the chef's restaurant where he loses consciousness. The chef, who is very rigid and prohibits alcohol in his restaurant, in contact with JiYu changes the tune and starts admitting alcoholic beverages in his restaurant and drinking quite a bit himself.

There is nothing I liked about this drama.
I do not like the message that is behind it: if you want to enjoy your life, you need to eat and drink heavily preferably with like minded friends. Otherwise you are a weirdo!
I do not like the lack of chemistry between the leads nor the character of JiYu who is a slovenly drunk; Though there is a bit of development where he is concerned: he drinks a little bit less towards the end! With a couple of dead fish kisses and talk about rameyon!
I do not like the music: it is boring and mostly played when not needed and vice versa. And the sound recording was atrocious: you could hear the empty space of a hangar they filmed in since the echo was really bad!
I do not like the clothes they wear: all those large high rise baggy trousers and oversize shirts are not nice!

The only thing I liked about this drama is its length and that's why I finished it!
