  • Name: Lee Jang Won
  • Native name: 이장원
  • Also Known as: Edward J. Lee, Noshel
  • Nationality: South Korean
  • Gender: Male
  • Born: August 30, 1981
  • Age: 42
Lee Jang Won is an American-born, South Korean singer-songwriter and member of the indie rock band Peppertones. He was born in Pittsburgh, USA and spent his childhood there before moving to South Korea as his father became the dean of the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology. At the time, he used the English name Edward J. Lee and also used the stage name Noshel, which he still uses occasionally today.

He graduated early from Daejeon Science High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a master's degree in Management Engineering and a Ph.D. in Culture Technology, all from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). While in college, he met fellow student Shin Jae Pyung at KAIST's Folk Club and Rock Club, as both were part of different bands. His band won the Creative Song Festival, and afterwards, Shin personally recruited him.

He debuted as the bassist and sub-vocalist of the duo with the EP "A Preview", released in 2004, and immediately became known due to their excellent arrangements. The pair then released their 1st album, "Colorful Express", in 2005. In 2007, the song "Superfantastic" won the Best Dance & Electronic Song at the Korean Music Awards and in 2008, they signed with Antenna Music. He married musical actress Bae Da Hae in 2021.
