Lee Moon Sae
- Name: Lee Moon Sae
- Native name: 이문세
- Also Known as: Lee Mun Se, I Mun Se
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Male
- Born: January 17, 1959
- Age: 65
He moved from acoustic guitar folk-pop music, which was the basis of Korean music in the 1970s, to pop ballad music in the 1980s and made his debut as a ballad singer in 1983. His first two albums were not successful, but his luck changed in 1985 after meeting composer Lee Young Hoon who became his benefactor when he gifted him the single "I Don't Know Yet", immediately rising to the top of the charts and swept most of the music awards that year.
After that, most of his albums were also very popular, and the combination of the two proved quite successful. He hosted a popular radio show among teenagers on MBC FM called "Starry Night" from 1985 until 1996.
In 2007, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and received treatment and went into remission. However, in 2014, he revealed that it came back and was affecting his vocal cords but decided against removing them due to his career as a singer. He seems to have recovered as he released an album in 2015 and several afterwards and now is considered one of the top ballad icons in the country.
