Thought it Weird At First But Makes More Sense Now

looks like the ML knew from a young age that FL isn't his sister and he also knew what happened to her and was raised to protect her by his parents so it's not weird he has feelings for her but honestly can't see how FL will develop feelings for ML as she really thinks ML is her brother due to memory loss

Being afraid of coming out to one's parents is not some kind of sin. Sun was the one that first outed Ongsa's cousin and then Ongsa herself but Ongsa is the one that has to spend the entire episode crying and begging for forgiveness? Especially since her mother in the book IS IN FACT a homophobe that is constantly treating Ongsa's father's bisexuality as a personal attack. I just. Ugh!

Perfection

What a great episode…full ofangst and emotion. The mls ofcourse did outstanding as did therest of the cast. The pacing fromone scene to the next kept themomentum going. The music wasalso on point.

A strong beginning for the young author's journey

The prologue with the snow should be kept in mind until the end of the 8 episodes, as it will reveal a deeper meaning than first assumed.The journey from "civilization" to "wilderness outpost" has already a nice range of feelings : frustration, disgust, resolution, courage, humor... The young writer has not many relatives, and struggles to understand her mom's decision to exile herself among strangers with a different culture. She soon finds she has a lot to learn in life.

The journey to the pastures, meeting other nomads

The journey starts with the generosity of Sulitan who orders his son to give the women another horse, so they can follow his caravan to the grasslands. The women will experience wonder, sorrows, and frights and show their resilience. They will also meet other nomads, whose lifestyle is quite different, and a woman clan leader, whose family is linked to Sulitan. Intercommunication again is not totally easy but the new horizons are an eye opener for Wenxiu.

Wenxiu sent in her first story, lost her grandma, and Zhang Feixia denied Tokan's claim

This episode shows the three women's deep connection despite the age gap, between the loved but befuddled grandma, the decisive shopkeeper, and the aspiring author. Wenxiu's mom preferred honesty to covering up for Tokan's claim, although it might have set her at odds again with Sulitan's family.

Wenxiu blundered but her mom earned a camel

In this episode, we see how the village lived before the annual trek to the summer pastures. Wenxiu thought she could work for her mom to recover outstanding debts from the villagers, but her lack of understanding and diplomacy made her unintentionally offend Sulitan's family. The episode shows the difficulty at inter communication but also the goodwill of the herder community, and in this episode, Wenxiu notices Batai who helps her understand more about the herder customs.

Phuwin's little ponytail

Such a bizarre choice for a hairstyle lol but I guess it fits the average Fine Arts student profile. The humor is not really my style in this case, but I like the group of friends. I'm digging the enemies-to-lovers trope tbh, at least Peem fights back a little - and them grabbing each other's hair was funny I'll admit that

Why are the good ones always short

I love love love Gi Seop's character arc of learning to stand up for himself and say no to people. The confession almost killed me but it's fine, we survived, we're still here. Such a good last episode - 9/10

I'm so glad you're not like me

This was great. I like that we got to see the dad's perspective (even if it doesn't fully justify how absent he was during Jinwoo's childhood), and how Jinwoo was able to get some closure after talking to him. And BITCH. Jinwoo and Gi Seop?? They're gonna be the end of me. They're too cute

I got so happy when he died i clapped i hated him so much i really dont know how they are gonna wrap this up in 2 episodes i feel like theres gonna be another season tbh
