This has a good story, though I got quite hesitant whether I should finish it or not, but in the end I still find it worth watching.

The first episode was not so catchy, however, things became interesting the more you move forward to the next episodes.

I love the ending, especially the part of the prince.

Do Kyung Soo suited very much in the role he's playing. I liked the way how he made some of his part humorous. What I like the most is he didn't have to act overly -- his simple reaction and gesture were already able to made me giggle and laugh.

The one I really enjoyed watching is Kim Seon Ho. He really played his character very well. I almost got confused of which side he really is in. Very great actor. I wish he would have a drama where he's the leading man. I really enjoyed all the drama that he's in.

I guess this is the second time I've watched Heo Jeong Min playing that kind of character - it really suits him though. I also enjoyed his every part in this drama, even in Fight My Way.

I almost forgot, the love story of the assassin (Jae Young Kim) and the princess (Han So Hee) is so heartbreaking?? I got most affected by their story.

Han So Hee is quite hateful at first but on the later episodes I've come to understand why she became like that.

I normally stay away from historic dramas but this one was so intriguing I couldn’t stop watching it. I love the fact that this drama like all historical dramas hold parts of their culture and really educated not only Koreans but others who viewed it. Nam ji hyun always makes me laugh in every given role and she did it again. Big hand to the directing I loved the view in which every character was portrayed and the supporting cast was amazing especially the people in their community and you watch deeper into the drama you start to realize such an important role which they play in the lives of the leads. I would say if you’re into historical stuff and you like comedy and romance then watch this there is also a good hint of mystery in it which makes it even more interesting.

Who said a prince can't be 1.72m?

What's else to say other than I'm hooked. D.O. never stops surprising me with his acting skills, from being such a believable imaginary brother in It's Okay That's Love to the composed psychopathic killer in Hello Monster and now this.

STORY:
This drama is one with grace and eloquence, much attributed to the flawless script. I enjoy the steady pace where it is neither too slow to be boring nor too dramatic to leave the audience huffing and puffing for air. There is also a perfect balance between romance and politics, which is unusual as sometimes those old officials can really exasperate and bore you with their greeds and Machiavellian means.

CAST:
Who said a prince can't be 1.72m? In dramaland, it is often assumed that a prince should be tall but it's a fact that most princes in history were probably even shorter, genetic is not perfect after all. There are also criticism of D.O.'s "stiffness" and "brooding face" circulating since his debut. However, this drama will be his first step in breaking those preconceptions. His indifferent expression and intense stare play wonder in portraying the emptiness of the lonely prince. They will make every bit of his character development even more rewarding in the sense that every slight smile and gestures showing adoration towards the female MC become more obvious. And when you get the whole smile, it will be like your Christmas prezzie has come early.

Ji Hyun is doing a fine job playing the female lead, but I feel there could be more room for developing character uniqueness. I have not seen as good child actors playing historical dramas for a long time, since Ijimae and The Moon Embraces the Sun. I'm also glad that the supporting casts are quite familiar from past historical dramas, as they are very good at creating a strong backbone for the story and effective in moving the plot along.

CINEMATOGRAPHY:
This is more like an amalgamation of Iljimae and Love in the Moonlight in terms of visuals. It has the stunning vibrant palette while not so sharp and 'crispy', keeping some of that old historical charms. Also, interesting uses of contrast in costumes. The prince wears dark-coloured silk clothes before he meets 'her' but starts to wear rough white ones after the amnesia (no spoiler btw). This not only emphasises the couple's different standings in social hierarchy but it also shows how the prince is able to forget his sorrows. It strikes a question that whether being a prince is worth it afterall and is it really horrible to be such a low-life?

MUSIC:
I'm disappointed that they haven't incorporated much of Gummy's Fade Away into the actual episodes. It is well-known that whichever drama Gummy sings for, it will be special and this should be no exception. Her voice really suits the pure, longing and bittersweet love in historical dramas. Hopefully, as the drama rolls out we will be able to witness the magical and memorable moments with Gummy's voice in the back to amplify everything by 10 times.

OVERALL:
I can guarantee that you're getting la crème de la crème with this drama. If you are not interested even after the first 2 eps, then the historical genre is not for you.

QUOTES:

"Am I the only one uncomfortable?"

“Ever since I became the prince, 69 329 hours have passed, but I have yet not smile.”

“It is not that I cannot forget about her. It is that she still remains in my memory."

“My heart cannot seem to persuade my body.”

“The scorpion that must cross a creek on a frog’s back stung the frog. It is obvious that they will both sink and die. So why kill the frog?”

“You must kill in order not to be killed.”

“You must return as a dead body. That is how I wish to see you.”

Cast: D.O. and Nam Ji Hyun are both great. No surprise there; their past projects were my favorites. But the supporting actors were impressive, too. Winning ensemble! Plus, the bromance is on point. ????

Plot: As a sageuk, I guess cliches were unavoidable. But I love that it wasn't boring and that every episode was meaty and consistently interesting. The politics and romance were at the forefront, but it had plenty of moments where loyalty and friendship were highlighted.

OST: Chen of EXO. Need I say more?

Don't know why I put this off for too long, but this is definitely one of my favorites this year. ❤

I really enjoyed watching this story. First time watching the lead actor (as I don't really follow idols made actors), but I must say, my respects to him, he is an actor with strong presence and add to that, he is so handsome. Loved the ending of this drama, unlike the never ending tragic ending in historical dramas. I hope there is a continuation of this drama, perhaps a part II. My only complaint is that it was too short with only 16 episodes, I think this story could go way longer than this, it was not boring at all either.

A Promising Premise Hindered by Pacing

100 Days My Prince" earns its 8.5 stars for its blend of historical charm and humor, yet falls short in certain aspects. The compelling premise of an amnesiac prince navigating common life is engaging, with D.O's charismatic performance adding depth. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, injecting warmth into the romance. However, the pacing falters at times, hindering character development. While comedic moments land well, they occasionally overshadow the political intrigue. Furthermore, the resolution feels rushed, leaving loose ends. Despite these flaws, the show remains a worthwhile watch, delivering an enjoyable historical rom-com with room for improvement.

Acting is Good, Story is Average

I thought it was a generally enjoyable drama on the whole.
>Acting--the best part<
This was the first drama where I really appreciated D.O.'s acting skills--he is legit no joke. Nam Ji Hyun always has a strong headed female lead character so her acting was good too! Kim Seon Ho gave us a bit of Second Lead Syndrome and his smile is killer.

>Story--average<
I love a good character development drama and this one was good at that--very good. I enjoyed it mainly because of the character developmen and mild thriller that played in the background of the historical comedy. The main catalyst for the character development is the Strong Female Lead.
I usually hate historicals, but I love comedies and this was one of the first dramas I watched that got me into the 'historical-comedy' genre.
If you hate the cold ML trope this drama (probably) is not for you. If you don't mind that, this should be a fairly typical journey for you. The Second Lead Syndrome wasn't too overwhelming--at least for me, and I usually have SLS allegies--because the character of the Male Lead was understandably annoying.
This is not an overly political historical drama. This is probably one of the least politically motivated historicals but without a little bit of politics the slight thriller in the background would not exist. I personally enjoy thrillers but I am sure there are someof you that don't
DISCLAIMER: *not a spoiler*: If you aren't a fan of amnesia plots (even as the premise of a story) this is also not for you.

>Romance--Chemistry check<
Definitely some chemistry between the ML and FL and I enjoyed that spark immensely! If you are looking for a good Rom-Com this fits the bill too well (all the tropes you always/never wanted).

>Ending--below average<
It gets draggy. This is part of the reason that this drama did not get an 8 in my books. The draggy ending was really unnecessary and could be a let down for those that want a more decisive and climactic ending. I find that this trait is common for historical comedies.

Sweet and fun!

I paused watching the drama after three episodes, because the ML's haughtiness had driven me crazy. However, when I started watching it again, my resolve has melted, and enjoyed the story till the end. ML still remained all serious even when joking (I liked more SML's cheeky smile), but to be honest, it did fit his role as the Crown Prince. FL was absolutely gorgeous, I couldn't find any fault in her acting. Even though SML was oozing with charm, I didn't feel any SLS, because it was obvious from the start his priorities were elsewhere. Supporting cast was amazing, from the villain and the king (the all-present Jo Han Chul, he was in everything I watched so far!) to hilarious FL fellow villagers. The story wasn't complicated and inundated with heavy historical plot, the villains weren't overtly devious, and episodes were all equally strong, not dragging at all.
I recommend watching this if you are looking for something sweet and fun to entertain yourself with.

This was a cute drama, but slow at times. I found that the first few episodes were good, then it kind of slowed down to a crawl until the last few episodes, ( 14-15 & 16 were the best). The Crown Prince, played by Do Kyung Soo was perfect in his part. How he kept a straight face through some of the scenes was beyond me. A lot of comedy was in this drama throughout the middle episodes, but the last 3 episodes were more serious. The Crowned Prince lost his memory through most of the drama. Most of it was about that, with a few twists with the other characters. I could go into a lot more detail, but I don’t want to give too much away. I would definitely recommend watching it because it has pretty much everything you could ask for. It has comedy, romance, mystery, sadness and betrayal, and a pretty decent ending.

One of my personal favorite dramas

Now, i’m not gonna lie and say this drama was amazing in all aspects, because it definitely wasn’t. However, it did exceed my expectations in some parts.

The acting was amazing. The side characters, the supporting characters, the main characters, everyone did amazing. It felt like they were real people and did just actors playing a role.

The storyline is where I get kind of ehhh. They were married for 100 days; why haven’t they consummated? I just feel like if Hongshim were to be impregnated, it would add so much to the plot. I also feel like the ending felt a little bit… Mysterious?? I personally don’t like endings that just happen if you get what I mean. But I also understand that there’s a season 2 coming up; so it would make sense to have that sort of ending in the first season.

The plot did drag out in some parts. Especially with the antagonists, and the way that i-seo and yul “left” each other again, and reunited again at the end of the last ep, i just felt that it was so unnecessary???

Overall, this drama was amazing and enjoyable in my personal opinion, and definitely does have a rewatch value. If i’m ever bored, maybe i’ll rewatch it again. :)

I loved the boy who plays the young prince, a real star.
The prince, D.O from EXO I follow him as a singer but he's great as an actor too. I love when he walks with his hands behind his back and doesn't want to be touched (oh oh) even if he doesn't remember to belong to the royal family.
However, the question of marriage between the two is dragged out too long (even a second imposition of marrying young people) and the punishment for the villain was too light. He deserved much worse.
Up until episode 10 it was interesting, from 11 onwards a little less.

Prince NO Princess YES

Joseon based drama are one of my favourite to watch while being sick or just not feeling at 100%. I've seen "100 Days My Prince" exactly at those circumstances but didn't like is as much as "Rookie Historian". It's not like I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but if I would have to choose I would definately pick Goo Hae-Ryung 😬

It's a kdrama so we all know that they will eventually fell in love and he is going to recover from amnesia but what I was watching it for was the princess (Han So Hee) and Nam Ji-Hyun. Most of reviewers were raving about dashing male lead Won Deuk/crown prince Yul (D.O.) but he didn't impress me. I focused more on Hong Shim 😎 (Nam Ji-Hyun) who with Kim So Hye 😍 (Han So Hee) made way better show! Their stories were greatily arranged and I was rooting for their happy endings. Ladies just stole the show for me and I didn't need that prince at all 😅

The story wasn'y as captivating as I was expecting.... too big expectations maybe?😕 It didn't make me to want to know what's gonna happen in next episode. OK there were 2 or 3 cliff hangers that made me to watch 1-2 episodes with no breath would or to sit with bilion of tears. But that's it. Mystic Pop-Up Bar or Alchemy of Sould made me do that every episode!

In my opinion if you are considering watching this for the story, you will be disappointed.
