"Melting Me Softly for all its worth is a beautiful lovestory!"

Perhaps I am part of those minority who like this drama. It actually a throwback to traditional korean drama where, simple, sweet, fluffy, not to mention the annoying side characters, the shouting etc... I did not say this does not have issues (editing, story telling and the likes...) but for me if you just like to spend 16 hours of pure fun, fluffiness and waiting for that love to happen, then this is for you. Also, i find the chemistry of the leads very cool and sweet and I think they look good together. Ji Chang Wook indeed has a good chemistry to all of his female leads co stars.

Overall, I like how they ended the drama, it is inspiring and full of hope. This drama will let you move to love more your loved ones and appreciate them on a daily basis. And this will make us believe again that LOVE is patient...is kind...is hopeful.

Everything about this was pretty.... average for me. I would recommend it, but, I can't see it being anyone's favorite. My only big issue with this was how they acted about body temps. Being a cold person isn't exactly common, but, I actually live with an average body temperature of 96.8°F which 1.8°F lower than average while they are nearly 10°F lower. For an average person 1.8°F higher is 100.6°F (a fever), so, for me, 98.6°F is a fever. It gets above 75°F outside and I need to take ice baths and sleep with ice packs to stop myself from getting seriously sick from hyperthermia. The whole time I was trying to figure out how they could stay conscious, stay alert, and how they didn't d*e in their sleep. There is NO WAY their bedrooms were cold enough for them to sleep there. While it's nice to see characters who are cold like me, I do much more to keep my temperature down than them and they are supposed to have it 5x as bad.... the frick....

Summary of the paragraph: Long, boring, executed terribly. Not interesting at all and found myself fast-forwarding through most of it. AKA dropped it like a hot potato <3

At first glance, this would seem like a very original, different from others drama. Well, at least you are right in that part. The plot and story are definitely interesting however it was just executed terribly. Each episode is about 50 min and the first couple of episodes are just flashbacks that are only a bit useful. What makes it worse is that it is boring! I found myself fast-forwarding through more than half before getting to an "okay" part. The first episode was interesting because i was just getting used to it but as the episodes went on it just got slower and slower. By the 6th episode, there was barely any romance. I would not recommend wasting your time on this. If i could give this a zero for rewatch i would.

Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes.

Don't come at me. This is my opinion

XOXO,

Just finished this drama and it was hella good. Definitely touching with certain plot twist and it really shows that love isn’t about age. Everything ended off well. Love it and would definitely recommend this to everyone. Have to admit that it was a little boring at first but it became so addictive!
Actor and actress acted really well. It’s quite interesting to see how the show revolve around the variety department and the hardship that they’ve faced while trying to create new content that would interest viewers like us.

Story: Being part of cryonic experiment and how it be done is something fresh stories you are looking for. Its not a typical love stories, comedy romance that most of the series had. Plus factor that this is the comeback series of Ji Chang Wook nd it never failed us, his fans on his acting as being a cold hearted man, at the same time with his humor in terms of comedy.

Music: K.Will is really a good singer, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU really suites for this series and im looking forward for the other OST of MMS.

Overall, this series is one of the best of 2019.and im looking forward for the next episode..great job #JiChangWook and to all cast and staff of #MeltingMeSoftly

Complete failure

Well actually this drama is a complete FAILURE, the summary seemed interesting before this drama aired but after watching almost 8 episodes its just a mess. Main characters are not developing, and their romance is just not connected, everything seems so random, and most importantly I don't even know what's the purpose of those annoying af support leads, they just seem pointless and very unnecessary to me.
You know the show is so bad when Main Leads are having their first kiss and your reaction is "What in the god's name was that?". It was just that random and unconnected, they had no chemistry at all in their romance, the kiss scene was hella forced.
I actually understand why this drama had a low rating in Korea and it clearly deserves it.

No Logic. Lots of Critical ERRORs. Watch after kepping your brain in a Safe

Too many logical errors.

The director must be a fool. He cant place himself in the charatcter while writting a script.

The character acted foolishly as the director wanted. Very silly, both male lead and the female lead. Even a kindergardern child can realize what is happening around them, but not these leads.

#spoiler#

LED moitors???
Windows 7??

OMG i was not aware that korea produced their own windows 7 and LED monitors as early as 90's.

Do the director take us for fool??

Is this a joke???

I guess this drama's okay.
This was the first drama JCW aired after he came out from his enlistment so imagine the anticipation. I've been a fan of him ever since Empress Ki and I really was excited plus the plot was kind of interesting. I'm not familiar with the female lead's former dramas but I was interested on how their pairing would work out. Also, for some reason JCW's aura was extra sparkly for me during this drama

For me, this is a light drama. I like the fact that the female and male lead had no non-sense type of personality because if they had that ditzy type I would've dropped this. They played the older generation in modern times quite good. Plus, I was truly entertained with JCW's ahjussi attitude.

Hello I’m a year late but it’s okay So I’ve seen the rest of the reviews and it seems like they wasn’t interested much. However, I loved it I mean I’m not so good at looking at details and specific things like the others did overall. BUT I enjoyed watching this drama. I Binge watched it and finished in 3 days. For me it had comedy, romance, jealousy, and I enjoyed it I knew they were a lot of force comedy on here but I laughed at it too I mean I liked their jokes and stuff. They were funny to me. But I mean it was confusing here and there lots of scenes that didn’t really show up but I mean it was still good to me.

Although I am still fairly new to K-Dramas, I just adore Ji Chang Wook. (Side note, I've definitely slowed down my speed of watching these shows, [blame anime and moving] I had to take about 2 months off of this show before I finished watching the last two episodes, so that is a factor in this review.) I just find him to be one of the most handsome/beautiful people I've ever laid eyes on, so that was a big factor in this for me.

I find the premise of the show to be VERY interesting, and a really good idea. I also loved the fact that we got to see the 90s, earlier versions of them, along with them interacting with their friends and family then. It makes the impact of their time being frozen much more impactful, and you can truly feel how they feel what they're going through.

Now other than the premise, there were some things about this show, plot wise, that I didn't like and I think could have been done a lot more smoother/less frustrating. Some things were unexplained, or rushed through, and also left unanswered, which through the story are sometimes glaring.

Also, because I pointed out how some scenes were very emotional/impactful, I can tell the show was also trying to balance it out with humor/over acting from some side characters, which I didn't like and I feel didn't do a good job, and could be left out entirely. Instead of balancing the drama out, it pulls you out of the story and cheapens some moments.

Overall, the acting from the main characters were done phenomenally, and I enjoyed their screen time. I wish the romance was a bit more of a slow burn//steamy, but there's a specific one scene that includes a shower that I think I'm going to remember forever <3

In conclusion, if you're a fan of Ji Chang Wook, I would recommend this, but don't expect this to become an all time favorite and take the show with a grain of salt/lowered expectations. I became a fan of Won Jin Ah and Choi Bo Min from this, and I'm glad I completed it.

Worth a watch? Maybe...

Honestly, the reason why I chose to watch this drama in the first place was that it was Ji Chang Wook's comeback and I was excited for a very long time. And when I finally started watching it, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

I'd say the story, in general, is very good and the actors played the roles very well. Especially the main leads... they were great. But what didn't work for me is the direction and the script. The plot had so much potential that it went down the sewer when I finally got to watch it. And the casting is another major loophole. The villain of the show was more like a comedian to me and I felt like they could have cast better people.

Ji Chang Wook usually chooses amazing dramas with great plots but this isn't something I expected when I heard he was in a drama. To begin with, my expectations weren't too high but as I said before, I was disappointed with the overall outcome.

Coming to the positives of this drama, if one is sick and tired of watching intense thrillers or horror and needs a break, they can give Melting Me Softly a try. It's not binge-worthy, but it is more like a break from all the noise. It has some really cute moments and the chemistry between the leads is no joke. The familial bonds in this show are something I really like watching and I appreciate the way they portrayed it. There's not much in terms of humor, but it's light-hearted.

I will continue looking forward to JCW's next drama and I'm also a fan of Won Jin Ah after this drama. She's a talented actress.

I'd probably never rewatch Melting Me Softly, but it was alright as long as it lasted. Liking or not liking this drama depends on the person and I'd say it is average.

I really don't get why this drama is getting so much hate. I personally really liked it. the story was different and unique.

I really liked the story but I do admit that there where some question that where unanswered when I finish it, but I can live with that, so I didn't really bother me. and I think the drama was a good and typical k-drama. I loved the romantic scene between the leads but I do wish they would have added a romantic scene in last episode. A lot of people didn't like the ending and I get why they say that but I thought it was an okay/good ending cause in the mid of the 15e episode they had solved everything and as a writer you can choose to have a new something that has to be solved or a new struggle, or you can you have the last 1,5 episodes with some cute and romantic scene and resolve some unanswered question if there are any. And I would have preferred if they did that, but they didn't, because they made a new problem/struggle that had to be solved and I think that a lot of people didn't like that decision. But I didn't think it was such a bad decision because I still enjoyed the last 2 episodes. The humor at the beginning was funny, but later in the episodes I did miss the funny scene they had in the first couple of episodes. And I do wish they would have added a romantic scene at the last episode but it was still cute to watch the main lead even if they didn't kiss and the kiss in episode 10 was a really good kiss and probably of my favorite kiss sence (spoiler is coming) mostly because I really loved the shower kiss sence in introverted boss and this reminded my of that kiss scene (spoiler is over)

I would definitely recommend this drama and I don't get why people would stop at episode 7 or 9 cause I watched the first 11 episodes in 1 day and the only time I did that was with decadence of the sun. So don't listened to people who say you shouldn't watch it cause it's a good drama.

(this is my first review, so I hope I did a good job at writing the review.and also English is my 3 language so sorry if I wrote something that was wrong)
