I judged it
I thought this was gonna be bad because of the way it’s filmed. It was different but it intrigued me since it was the first drama that was during and talking about the pandemic. But the characters were interesting and they weren’t lacking and the suspense killed every time I was left on a cliffhanger plus they stayed on top of the romance despite the whole online part. ——————————————————————————————Was this review helpful to you?
Boring and Predictable
Very cliche and predictable like a generic romantic comedy story. The storyline is poorly written. "Sayang ang casting"(casting was a waste, good actors but a boring story. A very predictable story and ending can be predicted that they finally see each other and kiss. Side fillers are predictable as well. Stopped watching at episode 4. Atleast the supporting actress's character was pretty but it was too cliche and simple. Should interject it with something unique that will make the audience get hook and will see for more.Was this review helpful to you?
The character of Gavreel was played very nicely. A smile accompanied this series during the pandemic for a considerable part, although there were also sadder moments. This part is definitely one of the best, above average, the creators handled the time of the first wave of covid very well, it is original in its processing and it is interesting that not only nice and handsome actors played there, but also actresses (not a single twisted creature). We had to wait until the last episode for the kiss, and it was a beautiful conclusion to this successful series.

bad production
I think many pinoy fan answer not the same,someone told cause of Covid,someone told cause of government,someone told cause of storyline.and...someone told starting new PH BL(it should take time),someone told cultural,They try to accuse many thing, but they have never accept truth that their series are bad production forever,I have watched PH BL or PH gay series since 5 years ago,That's why I said it still bad productionThe Series don't teach people how to live together and be safe in this situation more than talking on webcam(we should put mask or distancing 6 feet),because In real life we can not stay home all the time, we must go to supermarket, we must go to another place
It's just only ep 10 that actor come out But still fake kissing,fake touching,fake everything in this series, and the actor and staff don't brave

Not just a series, but this is reality....an advocacy!
There has been a surge with regards to BL genre in the Philippines. But what seperates Gameboys, and what makes them the best compare to their contemporaries is that, the show's goal is not only limited to giving kilig and entertainment to its audience, it also uses its platform to educate and raise awareness with regards to Covid-19 dangers, the grief of losing a loved one during the pandemic, LGBT issues like coming out issues and debunking heteronormative gender roles. It also touch mental health, validation of feelings, social connection and tourism in the Philippines.This not just a series, this is reality, this is an advocacy. It empowers its audience. So please watch the best pinoy BL. This is BL at its best.

Господи, это великолепно. Честно, я начинала сто треть этот сериал думая, что это будет очередной азиатский сериал, не более, но это было совсем другое. Это было так эмоционально, так захватывающе.. Из плюсов-это первый сериал который довёл меня до смехов, их история очень современная. Из минусов -было слишком много горок, я не привыкла, когда так часто радость менялась на ссоры и слезы, и ещё, мне не понравилось, что Pearl очень часто не принимала все в серьез, смеялась, когда они ссорились и называла себя их судьёй, а так, мне все понравилось Was this review helpful to you?
FANTASTICO COMO A PRODUÇÃO SE ADAPTOU DURANTE A QUARENTENA. SERIE DE EXCELENTE QUALIDADE.
A maioria das ações de Gameboys acontece principalmente nas telas dos computadores e celulares dos personagens, mas tudo com ótima qualidade. O que chama a atenção é como o roteiro aborda algumas situações da atualidade, como o distanciamento social causado pela pandemia e suas consequências no emocional de algumas pessoa. A química entre os protagonistas é cativante. A serie é maravilhosa em sua proposta e narra uma historia linda de BOY LOVE.FANTASTICO COMO A PRODUÇÃO SE ADAPTOU DURANTE A QUARENTENA. SERIE DE EXCELENTE QUALIDADE.

Divisor de águas
Posso dizer sem medo de errar que essa série foi a melhor aposta das Filipinas durante o auge da pandemia de COVID- 19. Falo das Filipinas porque lá estavam mergulhando no mundo BL justamente quando a pandemia veio e parou tudo, e posso dizer que algumas dezenas de séries de baixíssima qualidade foram entregues por eles, principalmente através do You Tube. Mas do nada, eles simplesmente nos entregaram um plot inovador, respeitando os protocolos sanitários e tendo o cuidado de incentivar as pessoas a se cuidarem o máximo possível. Essa série nos fez rir muito, chorar muito, surtar de amores, parece que estou ouvindo a voz do Gav chamando Cairo de bebê. A história se passa majoritariamente com os personagens se falando através da internet, e aborda temas referentes à pandemia, que naquele momento estava assolando o mundo inteiro, e apesar de se passar com personagens distantes uns dos outros, conseguiram abordar temas familiares, sentimentais, amizades, foi mostrada a dor do luto por perder alguém amado para o Covid, inclusive teve o beijo épico dos dois, através de uma barreira plástica. Enfim, com certeza Gameboys gravou seu nome na história dos BL's, tanto que depois da série tivemos uma outra série derivada dela, "Pearl next door" falando sobre a personagem Pearl, interpretada pela carismática Adriana So, dessa série se derivou o filme "PaThirsty", e teve também o "Game boys the movie", um foi um filme que foi lançado para interligar a primeira temporada de Gameboys com a segunda, que iniciou recentemente. Em suma, um sucesso absoluto, atores e personagens super carismáticos, uma história linda que vale a pena ser vista e re-vista, trilhas sonoras apaixonantes. Un BL filipino que vale la pena ver!
Soy fan de SOTUS y de las series bl tailandesas y aunque había leido diversas buenas críticas sobre esta serie, me daba pereza empezarla. Eso de que la historia que cuenta fuera una relación a distancia en época de confinamiento por el coronavirus...bufff! Estoy tan harta del teletrabajo y todo este tipo de comunicación online que era reticente a verla. Pero ahora veo que estaba equivocada.La empecé hace dos días y no puedo parar. La historia es original, los actores son buenísimos, el sonido perfecto (comparada por ejemplo con Roommate the series) y la relación a distancia gracias a facebook y otras aplicaciones pues no cansa ni se hace pesada. Es una historia de amor tierna, dulce y encantadora (con gran química entre los dos protagonistas!!) Una serie que te hace llorar y reir. Que emociona. Pero que además te acerca a problemas reales de los jóvenes protagonistas. El desarrollo de la historia, el guión está muy bien trabajado.
La recomiendo muchísimo!!!

DA VOMITARE, ho messo 1 solo perchè non c'è 0
Ho iniziato questa serie perchè tutte le recensioni erano da 10, a quanto pare era piaciuta un botto a tutti e ciò la rendeva qualcosa di promettente.Ma già dal primo episodio mi è letteralmente scoppiata in faccia un’ondata di CRINGE, stavo per vomitare, gli atteggiamenti con cui ci provava con l’altro, la parola “baby” ripetuta trentamila volte, era tutto così dannatamente cringe.
Sono riuscita a esistere soltanto 3 episodi poi veramente mi ero sfracassata le palle dal cringe e dalla noia, sembrava una storia senza senso.
Per non parlare degli atteggiamenti di quella Pearl, mamma mia che cringe.
Data sta situazione sono andata di nuovo nelle recensioni per capire cosa ci fosse di bello in questa serie e ho trovato scritto che poi si sarebbero incontrati quasi alla fine della serie, lì allora mi è venuto il dubbio di cosa potesse mai succedere fino a quel momento e così mi sono messa a guardare giusto velocemente, quindi senza sapere cosa succedesse, gli episodi seguenti; ne ho skippati tanti e sono arrivata a scoprire che si sarebbero incontrati al 10° episodio allora lì ho guardato solo loro che si incontravano e cazzo che cringe.
Ho visto sti due che si guardavano con un sottofondo di una ballad e praticamente era una parodia di una di quelle scene da k-drama, peccato che faceva a dir poco schifo. Si so messi a piangere così alla bho, sono passata avanti senza neanche vedere cosa si dicevano e poi sono morta, letteralmente il tizio ha portato l'altro davanti un coso di plastica per abbracciarsi senza toccarsi e poi si sono baciati attraverso la plastica, lì sono scoppiata, mi sono messa a ridere come se non ci fosse stato un domani, stavo per piangere dal ridere. Non ci credevo che avessero fatto na cosa del genere, capisco il sottofondo del covid ma cazzo certo che questo era cringe, dannatamente assurdo. Sono morta.
Sono passata così alla seconda stagione (tutto questo dal terzo episodio in poi nel giro di una mezz'oretta, giusto per farvi capire come abbia skippato il tutto senza pietà) e la situazione sinceramente l’ho trovata leggermente migliorata, erano lo stesso così cringe e ho skippato molto ma vi giuro a una certa non ce l’ho fatta più perchè stesso al primo episodio entra un tizio a me sconosciuto nella videochiamata e pronuncia una delle frasi che cazzo non mi sarei mai aspettata…."baby boy”.......non ho parole, appena l’ha detto mi sono soffermata a pensare e ho chiuso tutto. Veramente lì non ce l’ho fatta per l’ultima volta perchè dio mio che cringe, non è normale ma poi il tono di voce. Da non parlare poi Pearl durante la serie che quando ho skippato l’ho trovata due volte ad urlare in videochiamata a quelli di riprendersi il loro baby, poi per non parlare di come fra di loro si chiamassero baby.

È LA COSA PIÙ BRUTTA CHE ABBIA MAI VISTO
IL FATTO CHE ABBIA RESISTITO 3 EPISODI È GIÀ ASSURDO.
