'THE PENTHOUSE' makes my blood boil hot! It's just, there's still one stellar QUEEN to root for!
STORY:I don't have anything to say about the story! It's top notch crazy, ridiculous and convenient. The author really loves to play with us, and doesn't let the nice people get a little rest, a fresh air, everything is directed towards absolute doom!
BUT, amidst this mess, there are quite a few characters, a few scenes that I really really loved, and I can assure you, these are mostly all the good qualities, this PENTHOUSE drama has, from the beginning.
Characters & Themes That I LOVED:
Shim Soo Ryun: The only character since the beginning that I've been rooting for %100, and really really hoped she will be HAPPY, for a while at the very least!
Na Ae Gyo: I could only admire the bravery of this woman! she is such a cool character, more screen-time please, I love her :)))
Lee Ji Ah does an outstanding job portraying her, the character that looks exactly like Shim Soo Ryun, yet opposite the calm personality of hers.
Min Sol A: Okay, so I can't seem to hold my emotions in check whenever she appears on screen, her acting, her words, she just gets me instantly, to give me the blurry eyes, I really can't stop tearing up! Jo Soo Min did amazing job, such a talented young actress <3
Ro Na and Yoon Hee's scenes, and some of the other kids scene [Jenny, Seok Kyung & Seok Hoon] when it's involving their moms also gets me very emotional. It's very well done in this season too, especially Jenny & Her Mom.
THOSE ABOVE are the only reason I can continue watching this ridiculous inferno full of whining, jealousy and hate and not at all a positive message in it's core! The few moments with those characters are truly the only saving grace!
The other characters? They can go to hell, or anywhere. I don't care. they make my blood boil too much! Especially a specific jerk, who is such a tough shell to crack!
MUSIC/ VISUALS: Nothing intriguing to mention, they kept the luxury-feeling visuals, and displaying the grandness of the Hera Palace. The music contributes greatly to hype up the climax moments in a fantastic way, especially the main theme "Penthouse' by Kim Jun Seok, with the segment that goes like " Haa......haaa....... haaa......... haaaaaaa... aaa' tho some pieces gets repetitive towards the end, but that piece still does the job of giving you the goosebumps
Overall: I have a love-hate opinion of this show, and I hope the 3rd reason gives us an epic conclusion to see justice served well. If not, I will feel especially betrayed!
8.0/10 -Watch only at your own risk, and if you can handle the biggest mess only getting worse ever!

Another annoying ending

Why can't just the main character live in peace? Is it because there's another season? They did the same thing in season 1. They should've ended this in a different way that still hooked the audience for season 3.
Almost everyone is a demon.
This season is better since the plot is tighter but it's frustrating how the writers are extending the misery of the main character so they could write another season.
Again, the only thing that never disappoints in this drama is the acting.
Season 3 should be the last season, considering other people are already loosing interest and the story is going in circles.

You need to watch it!
This season was sooo...I cant even express it with words...You need to watch it! The plot twists, the actors, the romance, the misterys. EVERYTHINK ITS AMAZING! If you are too sencitive then dont watch it... There is many blood... But still everythink its amazing. The actors did a great job! This drama is my favorite! If you like mysterys and school dramas then this drama is for you! Btw....This drama can get on your nerves... heheheThe parents and the kids have their secrets and it soooo interesting. And more secrets from the first season are getting revealed! Some of the kids are getting charater development You dont know what will happend next and this is making you sooooo nervieos, but at the same time curios what will happend. This season is full of drama and plot twists! I personaly cant wait for the 3rd season.

What I like about the season 2 is that the good side has been emphasized compared to the season 1 which just hurts my emotions because of all the bad things that is happening with the main leads.
Though this time around my excitement or to look forward to in season 3 is quite low. Season 2 came by so fast and I was not ready that it was just 13 episodes. Of course every episode there are revelations and Logan's scenes really lessened making me sad since his one of my favorite characters in the drama.

LEFT MY LOGIC BRAIN ASIDE
● THE PENTHOUSE 2 is equally entertaining as the first season. This season had got more secret desires and ugly truths revealed. Each element has gone extreme bitchy fights, slaps, and lots of betrayals. And my mind would say "what kind of nonsense is this" but then it was also hooked up to know what happens next.●This drama not only focuses on the main leads, however but also focuses on the other characters in which is giving them all a moment to shine in the series. It feels like the story focuses on all the supporting characters to make the main lead the supporting characters and vice versa.
●LIKED
-The family of Oh Yoon Hee, Ha Yoon Chul, and Bae Ro Na, although it lasted a few episodes it gave a breather in the crazy world.
-My favorite character was back because I cried so hard for them.
-Opera singing on the stage of females, Cheon Seo Jin, Oh Yoon Hee, Bae Ro Na, Seok Kyung, Jeni, and Eun Byul.
-Bae Ro Na and Seok Hoon chemistry
-Na Ae Gyo and confident, badass revenge plot.
-Seo Jin and Yoon Hee working together
-Fast-paced with the f**ed up plot twist.
-This season gave a lot of space to the teen generation and they showed their wide acting skills.
●DISLIKED
-Opening scene was very dramatic.
-Ha Yoon Chul betrayal, I started liking him a bit but then he ruined it all.
-Overdramatic shouting and music, my ears would bleed with such high pith noise.
- Ending because it was a cliffhanger and bitter.

Better than the first season
I usually don't watch any series with multiple seasons but The Penthouse kept me captivated all along! After watching the first season, I was really excited for the second season and it turned out really well. I didn't realise when time passed by. The story, the suspense, the tension was over the top. I have seen very few dramas that are this interesting. The acting was also good. Kim So Yeon and Uhm Ki Joon are one of my favourites. There is also a lot of negativity so it is not recommended for sensitive people.Overall, it is a great watch.

overall, the police and the cctv have left the group. how come eun byol killed bae ro na in the lobby and no cctv at all. Yoon Eun Hee became the committe became pretty much useless.well the resident in hera palace have power in the country, buy they are not powerful. how come the police just messed up their investigation when the culprit are not from president family
i want to love this series but my logic can't comprehend the story and the characters. at this point i wont continue to watch the season 3.

God... this journey has been excruciatingly long but it was very much worth all of it. I gotta admit, there were some plotholes that weren't once even mentioned in season 2 (ex: what happened to Hyein? Why isn't she moving in with Suryeon?, etc) but overall still very outstanding.All the time I am reminded that I shouldn't be super prideful/greedy with things that really cannot be mine but I admire the determination all these people have to get what they want, literallyyy no matter how it costs. I also love how this drama really has no central good character (being that OYH is a murderer too) but at the very least there are people who willfully reflect on their actions and not bring it any further (ex: Jung Dooman, OYH, HYC).
With all that being said though, I feel so sorry for Suryeon.. She's been through literal hell and now that we've come to a point that she starts rising from the ashes once more, trouble is back to bite her once again.. Fuck! Logan Lee was one of my favorite characters from here and it's really a shame they had killed him off,,, I would usually doubt his death, especially with the number of people who basically resurrected from here but with the magnitude of how it was presented.. I feel awful! Which I guess is the point of this entire series anyway, makjangiest makjang ever.
I'm looking forward to what S3 has in store, especially with the freedom of Jenny's dad, somehow also Dan Tae and how the teenagers grow.. I think that'll be the center of S3.

Crazy and fun! I want more!
Likes1. Fast paced, there's something happening every scene you can't stop watching.
2. Loved Yoonchul's pivotal role in season 2. He wasn't really a bad guy, he just had to make choices. I still want him to end up with Yoonhee.
3. Seojin's fall from grace and the power struggle between Seojin and Dantae! What Seojin went though with Dantae was horrifying! Absolutely loved Seojin's acting when Joo Dan Tae was getting arrested!
4. All the ladies working together to take down Joo Dan tae and the surprising twist after.
5. They all got what they deserved. Finally Min Seol Ah case is resolved.
Dislikes
1. I hope characters stop "dying" and surviving because it is getting old.
2. Didnt really care much for Aegyo and Suryeon although i know they are the leads. I'm more interested in Seojin, Dantae and Yoonhee.
3. It's impossible but I don't want Eunbyul to come back.
4. Probably one of the few who does not like Logan and actually happy with the season finale.
Excited for season 3 and the introduction of new characters!! Wish that Penthouse never ends!!

I don't know what the writers were thinking....
I'm going to first start off by saying.... WHY in the hell would they kill off one of the best characters?I was really disappointed today while watching the 6th episode, this story is really turning into BS and I'm very close to dropping it. I was in tears the whole episode, it just broke my heart how cruel half of the characters could be, but when you have money I guess being cruel isn't an option.
Also, my blood BOILED when I saw how Ha Yoon Chul betrayed them both.. it honestly made me sick to my stomach.
Maybe I'm just too sensitive for these kinds of plot twists and such?
Anyways, like I said this drama did NOT turn out how I was expecting it to, and once I saw the preview for episode 7 I just knew it would become even worse.... Seok Hoon kissing Eun Byul??????? Oh god no... I'm hoping it's some kind of mind game and isn't actually true... but honestly, if you like these kinds of plot twists, and evil characters then this drama is really for YOU!
I'm warning you tho.... it really is a rollercoaster and brings a lot of stress upon anyone watching.
I can't really handle how the writers are writing this story... It's really turning into trash, but I will continue it just to see how it'll turn out!

FEB 19, 2021Although I wasn’t a big fan of season 1, I am so interested in the story. So I am excited for seasons 2 and 3. Since it is still on air, Ill give a update every 6 as a review so I guess Ill be here 3x.
I LOVE THE PILOT EPISODE! I am so interested on how the story will unfold. Like YoonYoon couple, Jenny’s character development and more!!

OH DAMN SEASON 2 was one of a hell of a ride. I hope OHY didn’t die cuz wtf was that. Also, I feel so bad for the real Ae Gyo. She seems like she would have been a great mother if it weren’t for Dan Tae. Also, Logan wtf why didn’t u tell OHY about her daughter being alive. Like arghh
