- FL and ML become acquainted through the misunderstanding that FL likes ML's friend
- After the misunderstanding is cleared, ML and FL develop feelings for one another
- One of the leads pushes the other away and says they "can't be together", but is hiding the real issue from their crush
- ML has to go abroad, and the day they set off for their trip, FL has an epiphany and runs after to meet ML and confess
- ML goes abroad, but FL loses contact with him
- Many years later, FL finds out ML passed away while abroad

- Young love
- First love
- From Highschool to College to Career life is shown
- set in the 1990s
- bittersweet as well but i think 20th Cg is better.

- Both have Byeon Woo Seok as the ML
- Same vibe as around 2000s high school romance
- Dealing with death
- Overall, these are just two excellent shows/movies that share the same vibe

Similarities:
- 2 best friends falls in love with the same person. thus, love triangle ensues.
- one of the two bffs is quite sickly. the other becomes like a savior and confidant.
- high school setting.

Both movies are set in the 90s Korean high school life. The main genres are romance and melodrama, and I found it interesting how both of these are centred around the school's radio club. Very nostalgic and beautifully shot.

The story somehow relatable. They started to have friendship then falls in love quickly but then the fate has started to intervene so their relationship didn't work as expected... In the movie 20th Century Girl, the FL and ml their relationship didn't work because the ml has to leave and live in New Zealand yet on the other hand , the story of Us and them also the relationship didn't work for them because sad reality intervene so the FL has to leave.

Both movies have a sad ending that will make you ?

Both have an nostalgic feel to them, with good cinematography and cast.

Both are set in the '90s before moving to present day at the end and have a nostalgic feel and a school setting. Both have sweet and somewhat poignant romances in which the leads somehow miss being together (permanently in 20CG, temporarily in ARRTI). One has a sad ending, the other happy.

Both flashback between the present day and their high school days eventually closing the gap between the two periods. The main leads in both constantly reminisce about the past. If you don't mind crying as I did for First Love, 20th Century Girl is a good watch but be prepared with extra tissues!

This movie is the first one that came to my mind when I was watching 20th CG.
It has that 90's vibe too with a broadcasting theme. Also has the email form of communication.
Coming of age, young love, nostalgic feels and Romcom.
There's also a separation period, multiple actually, but they always found eachother.
This has a good ending.
ML is Jung Hae in too, if you're a fan.
