On the fence
Cafe Minamdang intrigued me for two reasons: 1. The plot and 2. Seo In Guk.I've sat through some questionable dramas during my time simply because of an actor I liked. I always have a principle of watching at least three episodes before giving up on the drama.
Cafe minamdang started okay and progressively became an effort to watch. When a drama becomes something you watch just for the background noise, it's better to drop it. However, since this drama has recently started and has one of my favorite actors, I've put it on hold and will decide whether to pick it up or drop it entirely once it has finished airing.
That being said, the plot had a lot of potential, and I think most of the drawback lies in the female lead. Many viewers have dropped the drama because she has a very dislikable presence on the screen, which isn't suitable for any drama. Additionally, there is little to no chemistry between her and Seo in guk. I have watched his dramas, and he's always been able to convey sizzling scenes when it was needed. If the drama is to survive, something needs to be done about the female detective.
It doesn't help that it is airing around the same time as two trending dramas: AoS and Attorney Woo. For people who don't have enough time to catch up with airing dramas and have to choose, Cafe minamdang would not make the cut. It promises flair but falls short severely.
Nonetheless, I hope it succeeds through some miracle. I'd recommend waiting and observing how well it does on air and then deciding whether to watch it.

A little odd but fun to watch
This is not my usual cup of tea, but I’ve got a thing for crime dramas at the moment so I’m here for it. The premise is really engaging and despite the upbeat OST you can tell it will handle some serious topics. I look forward to seeing where they take it.The actors are funny and engaging and it helps you look past some of the other downfalls. One that I think is important to mention though is that the FL is supposed to be younger than the ML and you can really tell she’s not, for me that’s a little hard to overlook and is a bad casting choice in my opinion. It also makes the chemistry between them awkward I think, at least for the first couple of episodes. Hopefully that’s something that improves as the story goes on.
Though be warned, if you’re not a fan of seeing the “good guys” bend the law this probably isn’t for you.

Disappointing.
The trailer made this drama look so fun, but halfway through the first episode and I had to force myself to complete it. The character intros were pretty fun and the potential to be similar or better than Chief Kim is there, but it felt too forced. There’s exaggerated humour that grows on you and another that fails, and sadly for me CM fell on the latter. I felt like the writers couldn’t find he balance between making it intense and thrilling while keeping the humour and light parts. The comic scenes even felt too slapstick. I will try to give it another try, hopefully it improves in the next episode.Edit: I couldn’t get back to it eventually, didn’t hold my interest after all.

Toxic hero
People Calling female lead annoying for kick male lead.. You get a murderer out of jail you deserve death.Just because something happened to you doesn't mean you can do something bad to another person.
Idc about female lead but NO the main character that shaman is such a big no no. Idk what writers were thinking to put out such nonsense
I dropped it at 2 episode. Can't watch it more and deleted 4 episodes I downloaded. Rather watch Vincenzo. He was a mafia but being a mafia wasn't romanticised unlike here.

drama yang serius, tapi lucu!
cafe minamdang punya premis cerita yang cukup menarik dan unik. tentang penyamaran mantan anggota polisi untuk menyelidiki kasus pembunuhan sejak 3 tahun yang lalu. drama ini bergenre misteri, komedi dengan romansa tipis-tipis.sekilas, drama ini mengingatkan aku dengan film extreme job.
sejauh yang aku tonton, alur ceritanya masuk akal, namun kalian bener-bener harus tonton setiap adegan-adegannya biar gak ada yang kelewat. soalnya kalau kelewat dikit, aku gak yakin kalian bisa mengikuti jalan ceritanya (ini terjadi sama aku)
drama ini juga memuat riddle yang membuat para penontonnya berusaha mencoba menerka-nerka siapa dalang dari pembunuhan berantai yang terencana lewat hint-hint yang diberikan di tiap episodenya.
drama yang menyimpan plottwist ini menjadi drama yang layak ditonton dengan kualitas akting dari para aktor dan aktrisnya yang mumpuni juga soundtrack yang mendukung.

Volviendo al drama. Me he estrenado con Seo In Guk, aún no había visto nada de él y me ha gustado su interpretación. La historia me ha gustado, es buena y da para un drama, el uso de la figura del chamán y el chamanísmo me ha parecido muy acertado, pero creo que algunas cosas lo han estropeado como un uso excesivo de los flashbacks, un uso inadecuado de los recursos narrativos, un exceso de “cuquismo” con ciertos personajes (sobre todo la pareja secundaria) y en ciertos momentos añadir innecesariamente más comedia en las escenas cómicas. El drama tiene 18 episodios, pero creo que podrían haberlo dejado en 16 sin problemas.

Questo drama non è da prendere sul serio!
Se deciderete di iniziare questo drama, sappiate che non è da prendere sul serio. Il drama pare una mezza parodia del genere crime/thriller infatti troviamo molti momenti esasperati viranti al trash. Avete presente il drama Made for Each Other? Ecco siamo su quello stile lì. Vi debbo confessare che inizialmente non mi aveva convinto perchè i primissimi episodi sono ricchi di scene trash e mi sembrava di essere incappata in una cazzata. Invece ha saputo sorprendermi, giocando sull'altalena del un po' trash un po' serio. Riesce molto a smorzarsi senza coprirsi eccessivamente di ridicolo. Mi tocca ammettere però che 18 episodi per me sono stati troppi, poteva tutto tranquillamente stare nei consueti 16 tagliando magari quei momenti morti che potevano essere usati per sviluppare la parte finale della storia. Piccola cosa anche da dire qui: l'incastro del tutto finale mi è sembrato un po' forzato nonostante plausibilissimo. Risvolto positivo, mi sono ritrovata a pensare che se ci facessero una seconda stagione la guarderei volentieri. Commedia crime molto carina.Was this review helpful to you?
Excellent mix d'action, de supens, de romance... et d'humour
Vu sur Netflix, avant tout pour le ML !!! J'aime Seo In Guk, son talent, sa beauté et surtout.... le fait qu'il n'hésite pas à se ridiculiser, à se moquer de lui-même. Quelle belle leçon d'humilité !Mais cette série (à ne pas prendre au sérieux) est agréable (pas super accrocheuse, mais très sympa) et nous donne un excellent mix de suspens, thriller, humour, romance.
Le plot est original : un ancien profileur s'est reconvertit en chamane et se heurte à une policière, guerrière zélée.
Les OST sont très actuels, très K pop.
Bref, regardez ce drama, vous passerez un bon moment.

Commedia divertente e ... sorprendente!
Sinceramente non compendo le recensioni poco generose al drama!Il drama presenta i paradossi classici dei kdrama del genere thriller & poliziesco made in Korea!
Ma il cast è azzeccatissimo! Il timing delle varie ambientazioni è perfetto: con momenti di "pausa" e momenti più intensi!
Ma cosa si voleva di più?
Non è che questo drama avesse le pretese di un thriller ! E' una commedia!
Mi sono divertita nel vederlo, e pure nell'essere stupita dal "colpo di scena" nella seconda parte del drama...........
Non volevo nulla di più e nulla di meno da questo drama!
Dò il mio 8 pieno al drama e ne consiglio la visione!

Eu já imaginava que seria engraçado mas não imaginei a minha rebolando história.Uma história tão densa e chega a ser complicada mas bem original. Estava com saudade desse elenco foi bom revê-los e suas atuações cômicas, irreverentes e com certeza memoráveis. A todo o elenco parabéns!
As falas não foram cansativas e todo o enredo foi fluido porém acho que da parte do vilão faltou mais atitude de vilania e ficou muita comédia... Não ficou nenhum assunto em aberto, todo mundo resolvido, todos os corpos identificados, todos os vilões presos ou mortos, porém deixou a desejar quando se tratava de falar do assunto abuso de poder dentro das agências de modelos e astros, ficou como se fosse um assunto tão corriqueiro que não fosse necessário se aprofundar... Acho que poderia ter posto outro tipo de assunto já que eles não iriam se aprofundar e realmente dar solução com mais louvor ao caso.
Em matéria de rios dá para rir sim de muitas coisas, mas na maior parte do tempo é tudo muito tenso, e somente lá para o episódio 12 e 13 é que os verdadeiros vilões vão se revelando e é realmente inédito apesar de o ator x sempre fazia papéis parecidos, dessa vez como estava andando o personagem dele fiquei surpresa e ele saiu de lá.
No mais satisfatório !
Assistam, irão gostar. Esse é aquele drama para você assistir em intervalo à espera de episódios dos seus dramas favoritos.

Misto tra una commedia e thriller...storia comunque sorprendente.
Avevo letto che era divertente poi metti anche che lui mi è piaciuto moltissimo in un altro drama e decido che lo vedo.E ho fatto bene, inizialmente non sembrava serio,un ex profiler di polizia che ora è un sciamano che ha i suoi metodi e aiutanti speciali,tutto preso con leggerezza e comicità ma pian piano andando avanti nella storia diventa sempre più intrigante.Di scopre perché fa lo sciamano che è successo prima,la sua vita.La protagonista sembra solo un po' una scocciatura,una brontolona come la chiama lui.Ma è una seria e quando poi la verità viene svelata potrà diventare meno brontolona.Ovviamente con la specie di collaborazione che faranno finiranno per provare dei sentimenti che si concretizzano alla fine,ma di romanticismo c'è poco e niente in questo drama.
Il criminale sarà una scoperta scioccante.
Nel complesso tra la demenziale storia del sciamano super famoso e la storia crime che si sviluppa è un bel drama,gradevole da guardare.
Attori bravi e comunque è risate sono assicurate in molti momenti.
Nota particolare per i vestiti che indossano 🤦🏻♀️

Cômico
Não tinha muitas expectativas sobre esse drama, já sabia que seria cômico, foi divertido assistir, uma boa distração, apesar que com passar do tempo o drama foi ficando previsível e um pouco irritante.O casal principal foi muito bom, mas o Guk já teve parceiras com mais química.
Amei ver esse lado da atuação do Seo In Guk, e o squad do Café Minamdang era uma graça <3
