Nothing says "my manager made me do this" more than an idol BL with no intimate scenes. There is exactly one kiss in this entire eight episode series and it's very lacking in any sort of passion at all (truly, I don't think they even really kissed, but instead used camera angles to pretend). The storyline kind of goes all over the place, but I will give it points for Zuho actually getting to perform a song during an episode. And while our leads do have acting ability the rest of the cast really fell flat. This siries simply did not do it for me at all.

The Ending !! ?

okay let me say that the story and the acting was so good first 4 eps were amazing till 5 it came down so fast !!! idk because the shortness of the episodes or the whole drama so everything went so fast .. I didn't have the time to adjust to the heartbroken sences or the happiness .. they could do waaay better .. this kind of storyline should have been at least 10 episodes or just make the eps more than freaking 15 minutes!!

I feel sooo mad cause they had amazing actors and storyline too and they ruined it 🥹🥹

This could have been so much more

It breaks my heart to give this such a low rating cause Zuho is my ride or die and I was so excited for this when it first got announced. It's ultimately the runtime of this drama that pretty much ruined everything. This could've been So much better if we had more or longer episodes, because it had a lot of potential. Instead, to someone who hasn't read the source material it's based on, it feels like we just watched a bitesize summary of a much longer series :/ Not to mention the editing didn't help with the already chaotic pacing and made the whole story feel all over the place and every episode feel unfinished...

Anyways, all that aside, STAN ZUHO AND SF9 AND STR3AM 'QUESTION MARK' FOR CLEAR SKIN AND PEACE OF MIND!!! <3

Confusing but still beautiful

Actors and scenario of the series had the potential to do much better than these.
But due to the lack of episodes and the slowness of the story, they had to show the end of the series very soon with rush and a lot of plans that they remain without answer.
Their act and chemistry was very good and it also had an interesting and beautiful story that the director destroyed the couple screentime by adding unnecessary sequences.

The feelings of two characters, especially from Yoojae were completely unclear.I think the fact that the story was not shown on his point of view was the reason why we did not understand how these emotional feelings arose after Hanjoon confession.

In my opinion, with all problems that this series go through it still worth watching because of their chemistry. 👍🏻

Could have been better

I liked it at first but there was quite a bit I didn't like. The fake kiss scene which didn't even look real at all, The way that it barley made sense how they could be friends, the way they super easily became friends again after 5 months of not being friends, the sudden unquestioned dating, and the ending could have been better. I was hoping for a bit more from this series.
I can understand why they might not want to kiss for real so if that was the only thing I wouldn't be putting this low of a rating.

More like Struck by lightning actually!!

In the K-BL era where BL series are getting better, this came across as a huge disappointment.
The story started off really well and had really good scope to develop for better but the last episode ruined it all.
It was such a rushed ending , rather,
the leads getting into a relationship was the start of the 'rush till the end' motto of this series.
I mean they had good 8 episodes span and enough time to show the leads getting into a relationship and enjoying their dating period but instead they just had to drag the story unnecessarily and get them together at the very end.
I don't understand, since they were friends from the beginning and the presumably straight lead showed enough signs of being jealous and being possessive over the other lead then why the hell they had to drag their confession until the end.
The fights between the two were also very immature.

The one and only kiss scene is also a cheat scene which made me more mad.

The last episode really didn't make any sense to me but was happy that it ended coz I couldn't put up with their dragged story anymore.

Do Watch this but with no expectation bcoz atleast the first 6 episodes are worth watching and are the reason for my overall 7 star rating.

Good but repetetive.

(No major spoilers, just comments regarding character traits.)

Quite enjoyed this show! Well, certain parts a whole lot more than others. I felt there were too many repetitions of the main characters' traits. Yoojae was quite toxic throughout the entire show and Hanjoon continously blurted out things he would later regret. It was the epitome of pining. Constant misunderstandings that leave you frustrated & whenever you think things are getting better, boy are you wrong. Going from super emotional to super happy and right back to sad again. Because of these parts, I found it difficult to enjoy the show.

My conclusion; Pining is definetely not something for me! If you enjoy that, then this show is for you. Nevertheless their acting was pretty good and I enjoyed watching that! But I would be lying if I said I didn't want to punch my screen a few times ^^

Kim In Sung made his star debut

It managed to be entertaining and above-average, simply because of Kim In Sung who is worthy to be the main character. Without any source of background information, this boy debuted with such a remarkable portrayal of his role. I watched this because of Zuho from SF9 but he literally stole my focus solely to him. Kim In Sung blows me away with his ethereal beauty and most especially how he uses incredible facial expressions to deliver the right emotions needed in his scenes.

Seo Han Joon is a lovable man but too attached to his first love. He doesn’t deserve to be treated so badly by Jo Yoo Jae after his confession. I somehow wanted Han Joon to be paired with his boxing club member. Yoo Jae acts too immature for his age. Nevertheless, as long as my boy Seo Han Joon is happy, I am happy too.

The story is not as good as I anticipated but it is not particularly bad at all. There’s one character in this story who is absolutely annoying -the one with the bandana who acts too childish that doesn’t fit his looks.

The last episode is too random. Kim In Sung chooses his boyfriend over his ill mother who is lying in front of him just because Jo Yoo Jae may leave him again. I hate it. This is what happened when one is giving too much love to the other pair. Can’t he understand that there’s an emergency situation going on with Han Joon? Hmmm… Another thing is that even in the finale, the drama failed to give us a kissing scene! Oh please. They ruin the romantic scene of the couple playing on the swing and watching the night stars over their heads.

Once again, the best thing that happened in this BL is the introduction of Kim In Sung who made his impact on the industry. I hope I can see more of him in plenty of projects. I became a fan!

A very real love story/Una historia de amor que se siente real

The story is not the most original neither the most interesting, is a friend's to lovers story, and it plays this "stereotype" very good and it feels real, there is this stage of the relationship were you don't want to risk anything, the stage were you said fuck it, even when it may mean to lost this person, the stage when you know you want more than just a friendship but you don't know what the other person wants, so you just play it cool and finally the stage where the 2 of them step in together into the relationship.

The actor have a good chemistry, I think they complement each other very well, and this is not related but the actor with the black air is fucking gorgeous and so pretty. Like I said it felt real, in terms of the reaction and how the character went with flow of the actions that took place in the series.

In terms of physical touch this drama is very light, which is good for me (I'm ace), because it reaffirms that the idea of love=sex is not for everyone and it doesn't have to be or maybe just that, that kind of things come later on, which is still a very healthy message. And if you looking for a lot of kisses and more, just know that it doesn't happen, but anyway don't let that push you away form this drama, because it is very BEAUTIFUL and fun to watch
It's not the best bl of the year, but is a good love story.

And a thing that rest points to the history for me, is how they never use the word gay or boyfriend, I hope it's not because of the stigma but, I just wanna called out.

I'm sorry for my english, has it not my first language there may be mistakes in the grammar.

Quite dim in the world of k-bls

I have nothing much to say about this show’s storyline, it wasn’t special but it wasn’t uninteresting even. In fact, it would’ve had the potential to be great if done right which they didn’t achieve. I’m a huge unrequited love with a happy ending enthusiast which is one of the best aspects on the storyline.

The main shortcoming of the show would be the acting. It was rather underwhelming especially when it came to romantic scenes. The sound tracks also were not stellar. Overall, I probably would not rewatch this show. It was not bad but simply underwhelming and does not stand out. However, I don’t think I’m bored enough to watch this show again.

Swings & Starlight: A Tale of Love and Letdowns

Beneath a starry night's embrace, two young souls found escape on swings, each shielding themselves from the shards of their broken homes. Han Joon, the pillar of a family led by a tireless single mother, stood in stark contrast to Yoo Jae, a beacon amidst the chaos of a wayward father and relentless parental squabbles. Their shared tragedies wove an unyielding bond.

By their high school years, Han Joon's affection for Yoo Jae began to blur the lines of friendship. Despite the introverted Han Joon juxtaposing the effervescent Yoo Jae, who had girls swooning left and right, their undeniable bromance was a puzzle missing its romantic piece. As the ties tightened, Yoo Jae's crippling fear of loss clouded his sight to Han Joon's deeper desires.

"Starstruck," this mini BL series, screams cinematic masterpiece, yet its segmented eight-episode release feels more like spilled ink on a canvas. Its Achilles' heel? The barely sketched transition from comrades to sweethearts. As an audience, you're left straining to fathom Yoo Jae's emotional tide. One can't help but ponder: Is his love for Han Joon true, or just a safety net against abandonment?

But the plot thickens: Just as Han Joon steps into his beau boots, he commits the cardinal sin of no-shows. The culprit? His mom's Houdini-esque relocation! Yet, ever the doting son, Han Joon tracks her down in a vast sea of hospitals (because drama, right?), and, nudged by a maternal epiphany, sprints to their nostalgic swings beneath the stars. An unpredictable finale to an already rollercoaster romance. Makes one's dating tales seem like a walk in the park!

Don't recommend..

This had so much potential...So many scenes were randomly cut out which had me very confused. The ONE kiss scene was 3 seconds and all you see is their heads, the episode ended immediately and the next episode started as if nothing? like no flashback to the kiss or anything. .. I just think if maybe the actors didn't want to actually kiss, why be casted in BL? Seemed like a dry BL and could've been way better.
