Outdid Greys Anatomy

Man listen, I recently reread my review of season 1 and I wrote something along the lines of how it didn’t convince me it was a good show but i’m still tuning in because its interesting. I have no idea what I was thinking back then, because this is genuinely one of the best K-Dramas I have ever watched.

Besides the fact that theres a huge ass gap between the last time I watched this show (and i legit forgot so much about it lol), finding out there was a season 3 of this show was like finding a buried treasure!!

I watched season 2 like 2 years ago I think? I watched it on netflix and binged season 1 and 2 at once and I’ve been in love with it ever since. I read not long ago that netflix wasn’t going to renew it for season 3 so I assumed season 3 wasn’t happening at all (i was devastated) but then recently I saw people post about it on tiktok and i was like, wait a minute….when did this happen… THERES SEASON 3?!

I checked netflix just to be sure but netflix still doesn’t have season 3 on their platform and I’m assuming it won’t ever be there but, thankfully I’ve got other apps to watch season 3 on and I was genuinely so excited and happy when I started it.

The nostalgia I felt starting it, along with older and new characters getting introduced. I’ve had the biggest K-Drama block of my life, I couldn’t bring myself to watch any K-Dramas anymore and this show completely erased that. I was excited every day to start a new episode and in just a few weeks I finished it all. Seriously this is one of the best K-dramas ever. Actors are amazing in here, especially master kim.

Amazing casting, amazing pacing, amazing plots. The show was so good it made me want to be a doctor myself (not happening but i genuinely considered it for a second), the visuals of operations, the way they operate and just do everything man its perfect!!

Really one of the best shows, I hope it gets renewed for a season 4 again!

Season 3, More Riveting Than Ever Before

A 7 year journey with Dr. Romantic since 2016, 2020 and 2023 respectively and with every featured season, the story, the characters and the drama gets better and stronger. I loved this latest season of 2023. Master Kim's dream of Doldam Trauma Center coming together with his dream team. His Plan C to Plan B to Plan A sent me to fits of laughter. In all it's seriousness, I found it all so cute. He is definitely a lot calmer, laughing more and so charming. His focus, his view on life, his messages always on point.

Same talented Director and Writer who have a good and strong grasp of each character, the build up of it's story, medical cases with it's perfect dose of drama and tension. In the beginning, I was not sure if this season could do any better than the last but it did. It surpassed every expectation and more and I have been encouraging my circle of Korean drama friends who are not interested in medical dramas to start with Dr. Romantic from Season 1 and 2, before watching 3. And to their surprise, they did not know how they could miss out on such a fabulous show. The casting for Season 3 is also the best that I have seen in a long time with all my favourite actors delivering top notch performances.

Rating 10+ for Dr. Romantic 3!

Life meaning

I must say "You're actually plan B" really nailed it!!
The story really makes me rethink the meaning of life and work. It has inspired careers far beyond doctor. If you feel lost in life/career, take a break just watch this series.

I really like their motive of work, not because of money, reputation etc., but pure heart of rescue (romantic XD). This means that one must be passionate about the profession, and this is rare in reality. I was inspired to become like them although my career wasn't doctor, that why I said it inspiration is beyond being a doctor. I really encourage those who lost their way to finding a meaning in job or life to watch the series. You don't have time you can just watch season 3 alone, which in my opinion was the best and they don't really connect much to previous (It would be best if you could watch all 3 seasons to get more involved in the story).

Best Medical Series

If you're thinking of watching this series because of romance, then forget it. It's about a hospital basically run by a medical phenomena.
This series should be watched from S1, then S2 before watching S3. Each season brings something to the table from the previous one so I wouldn't skip any.
This series is the best medical drama I've ever seen. The procedures are intricate. It's basically about medicine ruling over politics and the person who drives that passion for saving people's lives which he calls romantic.
I'm not sure what to expect for S3 after watching the 1st 2 episodes but from seeing the previews of next episode, I'm not sure if this season is about the medical procedures or more on the interactions of the hospital staff. Time will tell.
Anyway the first two seasons are on Netflix and this third season is available on Disney plus (Netflix loss).
It's the same situation with Taxi Driver. Another great show, shown on Netflix but saw that S2 is on Viki which is a pain as Viki app can't be installed on Tv

Creative - I am in love

Yes, we have another nonbeliever. They say an arrogant person considers himself perfect; this is the chief harm of arrogance. It interferes with a person's main task in life - becoming a better person—the difference between Kim Sabu and Cha Jin Man (I'm already tired of him, and we are just getting started) and anyone else that goes up against him. I missed everyone, and it's good to see them all back, but Im Won Hee is the best—I love him. It's so good to see him here again. I loved how Cha Eun Jae grew into herself in the second season despite all her challenges, especially regarding Seo Woo Jin. And this season doesn't look any different except that they would have to face them together. I hope their love is strong enough to withstand it all.

I love that there is always something new to learn from this drama. Acknowledgment, appreciation, recognition, and acceptance that's all anyone wants in what they do, how they do it, and where they do it, whether they are a doctor, a lawyer, a prosecutor, a plumber, or a janitor. It's the one thing we all have in common. Appreciation has the amazing habit of bringing more reasons to be grateful, do better, and be better. It's what Eun Jae wanted from her father and what Jang Dong Hwa needed to hear from Seo Woo Jin as his mentor to be confident in his choices.

I so appreciate this drama for how it tackles the social, medical, personal, and professional issues that arise as doctors work hard to save patients in a world where the main concern is who takes responsibility for a doctor's oath to do whatever it takes to save a patient's life -- that a Kim Sabu is an anomaly to squash rather than the benchmark to strive for and emulate. I can only imagine how hard it must be to become a doctor; the schooling, training, residence, sacrifices, yelling, humiliation, and hurtful words residents and fellows are subjected to, and it's why I understand the many Jang Dong Hwa's out there.

IT WAS INDEED HARD WAITING FOR THIS FOR 3 YEARS. I INDEED FELL FOR AHN-HYO SEOP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ITS SEASON 2 AND THEN WATCHING HIM SO DIFFERENTLY IN A BUSINESS PROPOSAL WAS INSANE. YES, I DO KINDA MISS THE FIRST COUPLE OF SEASON 1 BUT I THINK THE REAL STAR OF THE SHOW IS THE ONE AND ONLY MASTER KIM. HE IS IMPECCABLE, THE AURA HE HAS, AND HIS PROFESSIONALISM.

IN THESE EPISODES WE SAW THE BONDING THE COORDINATION OF OD MASTER KIM WITH HIS CO-WORKERS WOO JIN, EUN-JAE, AND NURSE PARK. ALSO, I LOVED THE SCENES OF HEAD NURSE OH AND MASTER KIM.

THE REAL SPIRIT OF A DOCTOR IS WHAT WE SEE IN THIS SEASON TOO. TRUE DEDICATION TOWARDS HIS PATIENTS AND THE BRAND NEW RENOVATION OF DOLDUM HOSPITAL HAD ME ON MY KNEES WITH MY MOUTH OPEN. IT WAS JUST SO UNEXPECTED YET FANTASTIC.

THE CURSE OF FRIDAY STILL EXISTS WHICH WAS SOMETHING I WAS EXPECTING. AND I REALLY LIKE IT.

IF YOU THINK YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THE STORY PLOT WITHOUT WATCHING SEASON 1 OR 2 THEN YOU'RE WRONG.

YOU CAN ONCE SKIP SEASON 1 BUT I'D ADVISE EVERYONE TO WATCH BOTH OF'EM AND THEN ONLY START WITH SEASON 3.

I AM ALSO HOPING FOR A STORY OF MASTER KIM AND DR. KIM YOUNG JO. LET'S SEE WHAT THE STORY HAS IN STORE FOR US.

OVERALL IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR SOMEONE WHO WAS DYING FOR ITS NEW SEASON. IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH THE WATCH...

IF ROMANCE IS SOMETHING YOU'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO THEN DON'T WATCH IT CAUSE IT DOESN'T HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF ROMANTIC CONTENT BUT I AM SURE YOU'RE GONNA LOVE IT BECAUSE IT HAS A LOT MANY THINGS TO OFFER...

Hppy there is a other season

I have been waiting to watch this season as I have watched the first two seasons already. I enjoy Ahn Hyo Seop I have watched most of his films and I really enjoy his acting. So with the new season out I am looking forward to the casts acting in it and see what has happened to them since the last two season. I am hoping for more thrilling drama from the cast as they did in the other two seasons. So here is hoping a other good season to the other two seasons. I guess as many may know that this kind of drama does not come round often so it will be a very exciting to watch this season if it, is as good as the first two then here is hoping that if there is a other cliff hanger they make a other season. But I am sure most of you out there will be hoping for the same thing as I do that it will be a drama worth watching over and over again. So I hope all of you out there are waiting to watch it and excited for what is in store for the new season. So enjoy watching the new season everyone and to all the cast and crew who made it possible for a other season thank you for making it possible to have this season to watch.

Might change later depending on ending

Considering that the Dr Romantic series had an immense success in both seasons 1&2, I had high expectations for season 3. There were only a few K-dramas that I heavily invested in - and Dr. Romantic is one of them. At the end of season 2, the ending was satisfactory, in which KSB (Dr Kim) got what he wanted, which was to build a trauma centre for those in need. I also loved the fact that he worked with his enemy-turned-bestie building their dreams together. Plus the romance between Cha Eun Jae and Seo Woo Jin bloomed at the end - though it was a bit vague.

So when they announced season 3, I was excited, mainly because the heavy dramas were finished; the main antagonist from seasons 1 and 2 was finished, so I thought the drama will be focused more on the daily lives of doctors and their occupational values. However, once I watched season 3, not only the father-in-law card was played, it seems like the reason why the antagonist was that way was the same as previous seasons - only more "makjang".

This review might change, but tbh was a bit disappointed.

Après 2 saisons magistrales, une troisième décevante

Moins.

- La même équipe gagnante : Oh Myung Shim, Park Eun Tak,Nam Do Il, Mister Goo
