Best comedic moments in a kdrama
TL;DR: The comedy scenes are outstanding, and worth re-watching. The romance and legal parts are uneven (some good, some blah). The series becomes good from episode 4 on (though the first 3 episodes have many funny moments, so I'd recommend at least watching those). Full disclosure: I'm a fan of LSG, so my review may be somewhat biased. This series tries to be 3 things at the same time: a romance, a comedy, and a legal drama. Of the 3, it is by far the most successful in its comedic moments. The lines are genuinely funny, and the two leads have perfect timing. I first saw them in Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey), and thought that they carried that drama, despite LSY having only a supporting role. Their scenes together in Hwayugi were hilarious because of their acting (the lines weren't that great). Imagine how much more effective they are here, with original jokes that are often surprising. LSG, in particular, shines in comedy. His monologues left me in stitches.
The romance is uneven: some moments are touching, others are the usual tropes. Even though both actors are experts at eye-acting, I was rarely caught up in those scenes. The notable exception is the last scene of episode 5, where LSG's acting made me cry. But mostly, I see the actors delivering cheesy lines, rather than their characters being in love (though LSY is usually more convincing than LSG). Your mileage may vary. I'm mostly cynical about romance scenes. I will say, however, that I liked the moments that are both funny and romantic, and those saved the romance for me.
The legal drama is, again, uneven. The setup is interesting: it looks at everyday issues and doesn't rely on courtroom showdowns, but rather on a combination of legalese, common sense, and wacky solutions from the leads. However, some cases are 'solved' too conveniently. In particular, a showdown between the leads and the requisite Evil Corporation takes less than an episode, half of it is off-screen, and it's really anti-climactic (after a build-up that led us to believe that it's a David vs. Goliath fight). I am withholding judgment, though, since we're only 6 episodes in at the time of this review, and more legal fights with Evil Corporation are on the horizon.
Overall, the drama has a great cast: not just the leads, but virtually every recurring actor is impressive. All of them have comedic chops, which is great, since all of them (even the evil guys) have funny lines. The OST is also good and matches the scenes well.
Where the drama limps is in the script and directing. This seems to be the writer's first full series, and her inexperience shows. She is trying to balance too many things. Her forte, in my view, is comedy. The romance, not so much. In interviews, LSG said that he and LSY diverged from the script to make their characters more realistic. There is an "episode 0" with scenes that were changed in the broadcast, and if that's an example of the original script, then I can only applaud LSG's initiative. However, I do give the writer credit for juggling so many different requirements in one drama. The director, otoh, *is* experienced, so I was surprised at the rushed pacing and bad editing in episodes 1 and 3. Episode 3, in particular, feels like two episodes condensed into one. But episodes 4-6 are significantly better, so I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Despite some weaknesses, this drama has me waiting impatiently for each new episode, and for this reason I'm rating it a 10.

best drama 2022
Such an entertaining romcom! its super funny, heartwarming, chemistry of the leads on fire. Both Lee Seunggi and Lee Seyoung give a solid performances on their unique characters. Each episodes contains different cases as the romance of the 2 leads blossoming. The music is so good too,the background music is spot on,and the all the songs are really lovely and easy on the ear.Thevisual of the leads are daebak. The cinematography is so good.the set is also nice. All the supporting characters are interesting too,so many seniors actor joining this drama such as Jang Hye Jin (Parasite) and Jo Han chul( hometown cha cha cha, vincenzo).its adapted from a popular webtoon love according to law,but actually the scripwriter develop their own story,so its kinda different and unpredictable.Cant wait for episode 5!Must watch!!

BINGE-WORTHY & REFRESHINGLY FUN
This definitely is a refreshing drama for both Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young who came from heartbreaking dramas. I've wanted to see them lead a drama eversince I watched them in Hwayugi, their chemistry and comedic banters were just too fun to watch! Both the lead actors have perfect timing when it comes to their punchlines, nothing is overdone. THEIR EYE-ACTING IS SUPERB. All the cliche's are present, but it's not at all annoying, you actually look forward to it because it's the perfect mix of healing + romance rolled into one.
Supporting cast is amazing as well, the senior actors carry their roles very well. The rookies are mixing well with the entire cast. Plus the OST is as lovely and fun as it gets. Everything just works for TLC. Praying for the overall success of THE LAW CAFE!

Refreshing
Aside from the stellar performance by both leads, The Law Cafe is a refreshing romcom with values. It deals with everyday issues with legal takes on it but without having it burden to the viewers with courtroom scenes. The comedic and romantic aspects of this drama are naturally conveyed without looking like they're trying too much, all thanks to Seyoung and Seunggi on and off camera chemistry. A must watch 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼Oh, for those who forgot who the female lead is, she's the zombie in Hwayugi. Thank you 😃

Best law K drama
A fabulous show that encompassed justice, society's stereotypes, and social issues so well! Every character has been sketched beautifully...special mentions to the leads Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se-Young and the rest of the supporting cast in the unique cafe. On a serious note, there must be such dedicated law professionals and a law cafe in every part of the world! The world would be a much better place to be in! There was no dragging of the show or over-dramatization. Villains are at their darkest best but minus the usual gore. Well-done, writers and director! Was this review helpful to you?
There were heart fluttering scenes, but despite being a rom-com, pace was fast and the law parts were interesting. Cannot wait for the development of the show and the romance of the leads to blossom!

Great acting and very fun romance comedy drama
This is a drama that everyone needs when they feels tired after work / class all day. It gives you romance and comedy that very on spot, with great ambiance, color, accompanied with great acting from the actors. Their chemistry is great from the beginning. The acting is no doubt as we see from Seunggi and SeYoung really portrayed their character very well. The stories is very light, and the problems, the antagonist characters, already explained from the beginning.
It's very great afterall , and can't wait to watch for the next episode!

Great Drama
Better than anything on right now including Park Min Young new drama. But, are Korean men really that passive or is this just bad writing? Who would turn down a women that beautiful and he already like her in the first place. Just because he wasn’t the first one to admit or within some sort of pace. WTF?? I like both leads and I love the show but that outcome is stupid. Is this to drag the not being together on and on to cover more episodes. I love Korean dramas but the one thing they are not very creative about is a couple being together more than one or two episodes. Why not be creative with couple growing together instead of waiting until the last episode. They either do this or create unnecessary love triangles. Think outside the box writers and do something different. Was this review helpful to you?

Was this review helpful to you?
