It’s not bad, but it’s not special either

This series had a very simple story, which I think would benefit a mini drama. But I still ended up bit disappointed with how the story ended up being so bland. I get the feeling that it would exactly the same thing if the show had 10 episodes of 40 minutes. There’s not much to be explored in this story. I also don’t get much chemistry between the leads, which also happened with the other Kang In Soo BL mini drama. The music is not bad but it also didn’t blow we away either, unfortunately.

I kind of enjoyed the open ended aspect with, apparently, the boss and music producer quitting the company to help them. But the surprise “my dad is the CEO of a conglomerate and he doesn’t want me to be a musician’ doesn’t work in my opinion. I know it’s a cliche to cut off your musician son so he has to come back and give up music. But how did In Soo’s dad expect him to stop pursuing music while living in that apartment and apparently not having to work?

It's cute

Story: The story plot is mediocre, it also felt very rushed which is understandable because they have to fit everything into 8 episodes and it also only have 10 minutes per each ep. Honestly everything is cute about it and if you want a lighthearted series this is for you!

Acting/Cast: In soo and Sang yi's chemistry is so goood I'm seriously in love with the both of them. They are both very good actors everything felt very natural.

Music: The OST's are so good and catchy, can really bring in the feels. 10/10 I love the songs so much.

Re-watch Value: Alright although the plot is mediocre there are a lot of parts in this series I really love to re-watch over and over again. In soo and Sang yi are just so good together *cries*

Overall really worth it to watch :D

Felt way too short for such a great story ♡

This series felt extra short simply because it is that GOOD! There are Short Series that makes me get bored even when it only has 10 minutes per episode but this piece is really cute and fun to watch that I was stucked on my seat the entire time.

One thing I hate about this is that, It's too short! I mean I know that all of K-BL are like this but is it wrong to ask for more? HEHE

Anyways, I'm just proud that Korea is taking their time and doing it step by step in producing BL series. They're getting braver and courageous each passing year that they finally have Kissing Scenes in BL series these days.

Story - 9.5, The story may be short and too fast-paced and all that but i never felt like it lacks something. A well made series that was put together excellently.

Acting/Cast -9, The cast did great in delivering their respective roles and what surprise me is that majority of them are Idol turned actors. I never prejudice idols but they surprise me a lot since they seemed experienced in some ways.

Music - 10, Great choice of Music. Opening, Filler BGMs and even ending song is good. They did well choosing and matching the song to each scenes.

Rewatch Value - 10, Will definitely rewatch it. It was short and you will just forget time watching it like LITERALLY it's that well done.

Overall - 9.5, An absolute drama. This series screams intelligence! A well produced and created drama. Will definitely recommend.

I am very dissaponted because this drama could be good. I mean, the story is interesting and I saw potential in it. It's just short and not explained. The romance has been completely left out of it, we waited for the main characters to get close to each other, for emotions to develop for the other and for this to be nicely presented but this didn't happened. They didn’t show a growing romantic relationship, they didn’t talk about the kiss as if it hadn’t happened, everything stayed the same as before and it was very disappointing. The story compared to how many opportunities there was in it didn’t improve and in the end (by my fault or not) I couldn’t filter anything out of it. The acting did not bring the expected level, the dynamics between the main character couple and the personality of the main characters were missing, many times they did not play scenes as they should, I mean they could not convey the feeling they had planned. The characters are not explained, we do not understand them, we do not know their past, their motivation. Personally, I really liked the music, that’s the only reason this drama got 4.5 points from me. Although it could have been a little better than that because it was all about the music but much of the same song went.

I need more of them.

I loved it, from the begginning to the end i literally couldn't take off my eyes from the screen. The plot is super cute, the development of the love sstory and the slowburn it's adorable, they're an absolutly healty and realistic couple and overall i didn't found any flaws in this drama, the only thing maybe it's that is a bit short and the end it's kinda open. Don't get me wrong, i think it's a perfect ending for this drama and i love it the way it is, but im craving a second season, i would love to know how their story it would develop. I got really affectionated to the characters. So yes, it's awesome, i highly reccommend it and i still hope for a second season

Show Don't tell

First of all I thought this was a well thought out series with a good soundtrack and a neat transitioning into the ending To save some time of not having to switch from episode I recommend watching the movie. (I'ts the same as the series) I Would suggest that you watch Wish You if you are someone who likes series or movies that prefer to show and not tell what the characters thought process is during all of the events of the show. Instead of having a voice overs of what the characters think or having the characters repeat their thoughts to themselves in a cute but corny way they have small and subtle scenes that explains the progression of their relationship Never having the characters question out loud about how the other person feels or the meaning behind their intentions also never saying out loud what they should do about the situation. There are scenes that allow the audience know that both characters finally understand the direction of their relationship for example when we get the on scene of where in Sung leaves to so to sleep Kang In Soo opens his eyes letting the veiwers know that he is aware of In sung tracing his face. I thought that this was a fun element of the series and let me understand more about what the characters feel throughout the whole series.

The chemistry between the two main characters

I’m so happy to see more and more Korean BL and I really enjoy watching all of them, especially when they are good as “Wish You”

I had a great time watching “Wish You” because of the perfect chemistry between the two main characters Kang In Soo and Lee Sang. I found the two were perfectly aligned with the characters. Not to mention that Lee Sang played perfectly the role of this shy guy who take all of his bravery to..... a much watch scene that makes me cry (personal memories)

Don’t forget the OST that perfectly complete with the movie. The ending is also well done, and I wasn’t expecting it. I’ll not tell you anything more.

So, Just relax, watch “Wish You” and I really hope you will enjoy the movie the same way I did.

I would love to see that movies turned into a series. But I can dream of it though.

Not worth watching.

While I'm really happy there's more LGBTQ+ representation, this drama was.... not very good. The pacing was inconsistent, sometimes super slow, other times super fast. There were so many awkward moments, especially in the beginning. The acting was okay, but to be honest, the side characters' acting were better than the two main guys. I felt like I barely knew the main two characters at all, much less their relationship; one moment they were strangers, and then after a few cheesy montages they were in love?? The cinematography was quite pretty but isn't enough to make up for everything else. The ending was so sudden too and didn't make any sense to me.

TLDR: I don't recommend watching this...

Another selling product, let's find out what it is

The last year brrought us a lot of advertising bl dramas, that was one of those.

Story 1/10
If I could give it 0.5 I would. This is a typical Korean streight story, There is an agonizing artist and a friend that push him and give him support, while his family against his dreams or have some conflict or not provide him what he want or even a gangster( Korean just loves Gangsters) so here we have the same plot, but this time it's 2 males instead of male and female as the main couple.

it's not that it's not the reality but the question is why they don't creat other stories, is there anything in Korea that is not singers or actors? or poor and rich sindrom? are there more into it? or love save only for singers and actors?

The story didn't developed and was not clear, how they fell inlove, no one understand really.

But- at the end they are both singing together, so maybe they want to sell us 2 gays band product? later we will find out.

Acting 1/10
Bad, not convicing.

Music 1/10
Generic, as we are talking about musicians, there are not real music, so it is very interesting, and usually it's like that on those films , the musicians are not musicians, so what they are really? are they products?

overall
Waste of time

Meh and bleh

This could have been really good with another set of writers. I liked the cinematography and the music was pretty good. The leads had good chemistry but that’s all that was good with this.
I have read some reviews about the pacing and I completely agree with them, the pacing was just weird and felt convoluted. It just jumps from one thing to another. It felt like things were just going from 0-100 without any preamble, I have watched a lot of short dramas that managed to be cohesive, so it definitely wasn’t the length of time.
So Kang In Soo has been putting the moves on Yoon Sang Yi, I mean it wasn’t subtle at all, it was full on come get it moves, then Sang Yi kisses him and he bolts, really, make it make sense, all just to add unnecessary unneeded drama.
This had so much potential IMO but turned out to be something that wasn’t worth it at all to me.
Rewatch value 1/10
Overall 5/10 (And I’m being very generous)

A Feel-Good Series

This is a lovely simple story of almost instant attraction leading to love. It is different from other Korean BL series (of which there are not many) in that there are no fatalistic or painful roadblocks to hinder the fruition of love. And they made it a part of the normal makeup of living. And the added addendum to making this series so good was that these two can actually SING. They are professional singers and it showed. Their singing and the songs in this series were quite good. If you want to review my complete review of this charming BL series, please go to ppbongi.medium.com. Feel free to comment. Thanks.

A feel good drama and movie.

The cast Kang In soo, & Lee sang the chemistry they had was magical. , Su bin and baek seo bin wo ??. I really loved this drama and movie was . I agree with alot of reviews. They are both amazing singer especially when emotions are flowing. I still don't understand how parents could blacklist there own child instead of giving him encouragement and approval. It's funny how he got thru his parents record comp. and almost made it. To bad it's not real-I would have changed names in hoo to sang ji and once album out add his name. ?Atleast in soo could prove to his parents and himself that he was good enough to make it big. It also seem like that he was also fighting with himself about his sexuallity. This is also very stressful and his best friend could see it but could not help him as Kang in soo didn't talk about his troubles in life. Joonsang yi a very shy person who fall in love with Kang in soo immediately when he saw him busking and show the video to his boss. They get him to sign a record deal and due to contract sang yi moves into In soo house As they get to know each other insoo finally feel happy and comfortable for the first time in along time. There passion for music and understanding made them closer and kang in soo finally accepting his sexuallity. The cast was great. A must see. I watch both drama and movie???????
