Amazing music!

Having never seen any other version or read the manga, I can only review based upon my enjoyment of this show. Let's start with the positive - the music. Absolutely beautiful classical music, which wove itself seamlessly through the show. For me, that's as far as the positives went. I suppose the actors did a good job, but the two main characters were not likeable throughout the entirety of the show. She was a stalker, hanging on him, liking him for no apparent reason. She was an odd woman, trying to be cutesy at times, troubled at others. She irritated me throughout. As for the male lead, he wasn't likeable either. I understand that he had trauma in his life, but that's not really an excuse to be so mean, especially to her. I didn't feel that the relationship was believable at all. There was no chemistry between the two, even at the end. By the time this show ended, I was so frustrated with the amount of time I had wasted. Park Bo Gum's character was more likeable, and I felt that she and he were much better suited for one another, because he didn't want to change her.

Unserious-classical-music-themed

Basically, I recently rewatched this drama after a long time. Around 2014-5 I first saw this drama after having seen the original Japanese live-action (which I really liked). From what I remember, the Korean adaptation is quite similar to the Japanese. Let me first start off with the story, I haven't watched many dramas on classical music, so I found the story to be somewhat fresh and interesting. I wonder if the actors actually played those music instruments..not important I guess, since it they defintely looked like they were (total music instrument layman). The actors were casted quite well some could be a bit better (Joo Won's mom whom I liked but their development was lacking). Some acting by the lead actors seemed somewhat raw, especially that of Park Bo Gum (which I didn't even knew the first time I watched it) and Joo Won (who has acted a variety of roles, really liked his acting here). Shim Eun Kyung role shouldn't be taken too seriously. An appreciateion point found in the drama is personnal development of the characters. The overall background music fitted well (all classical music).

If you are searching for somewhat fresh, funny and somewhat older friendship (and music related) drama, try it out! Hopefully you will enjoy it as mush as I did.

I really enjoyed this drama. I did go into this blind, like I had no idea it was a manga and there was a Japanese version. I found it on Netflix and decided to watch and thought it was good to pass the time. Nothing too dramatic, just fluffy drama. I really enjoyed it and, I mean the acting wasn't the worst but it also wasn't the best. I took it all with a grain of salt and just enjoyed the drama for what it was: beautiful music, romantic story, friendship and hard work! I say go in without any bias if possible so that it can be enjoyed and watched for what it is. I'm glad there wasn't any like major love triangles and no major villains. I do wish some parts were explained more thoroughly cuz it felt like things just happened but I enjoyed it overall.

Underwhelming in every sense of the word. Nothing meshed together. There was no romance. The secondary characters got All of the cuteness. Second male lead was borrrrriiiiiing. And when are we gonna have this damn concert?!

I hate this drama.

(Music is classical so I have to score high out of respect. I wouldn't rewatch this if I were stranded on a desert island with only the DVD's to keep me company.)

lovely adaptation

I extremely love this drama and I've watched it since its released in 2014 till this day 2023. I have re-watched it over the years because I genuinely love and miss this adaptation and probably because I'm biased and I really like the Main actors and actresses. I like the fact that they kept a good amount of similar scenes from the anime adaptation. And, I also believe this drama is way better than the Japanese drama adaptation. I know a lot of people could disagree but, I just prefer the Korean style because is more aestheticly pleasing and also I now this drama looks better just for the fact that is more modern, but still. Overall, please watch it, you won't be disappointed. 10/10
