Okay this just.. Oh this hurt. It was so beautiful, so natural and in a ways so relatable. The feelings you have when you are in the safety of your own world versus when you are brought into the outside world. The fact that even though you know you're not doing anything wrong you can still be afraid. Knowing your own self worth, knowing what you can't live with or can't live like, living your own truth but letting others do the same., even though it might not be what you want. Saying both are right, it's not anybody's fault. You want to stay here forever, I want to show you everything. Sometimes loving someone is to let them go.

This truly was a masterpiece and it should be put on every streaming platform. Like this deserves everything. It's real, it's educational, it tells you both sides, it simply is just amazing.

Plot in a nutshell: Karl moves into his uncle's condo as a family tradition (where when a man comes to a certain age they must live alone for a time), Vlad his neighbor (sorta) proposes a deal to Karl to help him with paying the rent. So they pretend to be boyfriends so Vlad can stay at the condo instead having to go back home. Slowly their feelings start to grow.

Yeah this broke me, but it's worth all the hype it gets and it's definitely worth to watch over and over again. It's one of the best series (not just bl) I have ever seen. It was just so real. This will however most likely ruin a lot of bl's for you since I doubt nothing can beat this one.

  • Light on Me

    2. Light on Me

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    10

It has it all, the cuteness, the dorkiness, the awkwardness, the second hand embarrassment, the pain, the overflowing adorableness and some real character development. The characters are well written, flawed in the most human way possible. It's just perfect. This made me so happy. Acting: just brilliant for almost everyone. Like damn they are good, story isn't necessarily anything new but it works, it flows nicely, there's pretty good pace to it, the production is good.  And it's kinda realistic,  at least it has this sorta almost natural feel to it. And the episodes are actually decent length. Korea freaking delivered with this one.
And Kang Yoo Seok. Yes they were all wonderful, but he was amazing. The shyness, the insecurities, the hesitant movement, the emotions on his face. Like boy can act with every fiber of his body.

Plot in a nutshell: Tae Kyung is a loner, he eventually joins the student council where he meets the perfect boy Da On, the most precious human being on this earth Shin Woo, the greatest friend you could ever wish for Namgoong and Da On's childhood friend who not so secretly is in love with Da On which makes her act like a bish

  • A First Love Story

    Korean Special - 2021, 2 episodes

    9.5

Strongberry delivers, please support and watch in on the official channels (this one is on yt!)

It is just absolutely adorable. It works even being this short, but would be a total 10/10 if it was longer. This will make u cry for more. It's sweet and pure and everything you want in bl. Except length.

Plot in a nutshell: Jae Sung has enlisted in the military, Min Kyu doesn't really want him to go

  • We Best Love: No. 1 For You

    4. We Best Love: No. 1 For You

    Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes

Okay Jesus lord how can anyone be that attractive, yes I'm biased because of Yu. Now that we got that out of the way, let's dive in to the shallow end. This was so cute, like damn they were adorable, my heart nearly exploded. I loved, loved, loved how they okay SPOILER ALERT right here how they were so casual about being together, like just walking hand in hand and stuff like that without having any unnecessary coming out to their friends drama or anything like that.

This was just  the perfectly cute with good enough plot and good paste, also good acting, a little bit of angst due to a broken heart but they do not dwell on it for too long. They keep it real and I love it. The flow has sorta natural feel to it which is nice. (Yes I love pretty much everything about this). They do leave some things open but there's season 2 so it's not surprising.

Plot in a nutshell: Gao Shi De wants to beat Zhou Shu Yi on everything, not because he wants to win, but because that's the way Shu Yi notices him. They meet again in college where Gao Shi De manages to blackmail Zhou Shu Yi to became his page-boy, Zhou Shu Yi definitely doesn't hate it as much as he pretends to. He's  just and angry ball of fluff.

    There's a reason why S2 isn't on this list

  • Manner of Death

    5. Manner of Death

    Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes

    8.5

Yes some more MaxTul and in a good crime show. I loved how this doesn't focus mainly on the gay aspect (it's not all about how you're not gay you just like this one dude), it just has characters who are gay. The plot is pretty solid and it does a good job with making everyone seem sus.

Plot in a nutshell: Bun is a medical examiner, Tan is teacher by day, suspicious by night. They meet and despite Bun's suspicion of Tans involvement in the current crimes, Bun just can't resist all that gottagecore happiness.

Possible triggers: violence, sex parties, sex while drugged, rape, drug use, od, death, blood, hanging.

  • He's Coming to Me

    6. He's Coming to Me

    Thai Drama - 2019, 8 episodes

    9.0

This has a few parts that will hurt, a lot.

I loved this, I really did. It was really cute and a perfect example of how you don't need physical touches or bed scenes to make an amazing bl story. It had a pretty solid female character, good friends, good reactions to character coming out. This was cute, funny and sad.

Plot in a nutshell: Mes is a ghost who can't reincarnate because the real cause of his death is unknown, in walks Thun the only person who can see Mes. Thun takes pity of Mes and invites him to live with him, to show him new things outside the graveyard. They start to look into the life and death of Mes

    Possible triggers: Character death

  • To My Star (Movie)

    7. To My Star (Movie)

    Korean Movie - 2021

    8.5

    There's a slight hurt, just a bit.
Now I really wished it had been a little longer, really need more of that fluffluff, like gosh give me that happiness.
Anyways, this was good. It did left a few things open/unexplained and took a few more twist at the end than necessary in my opinion, but it was pretty cute overall. Would have loved to see more Kim Jin Kwon but short series are short series.

Warning: Flashing lights at 1h:29min mark and it goes on for a couple minutes (the flashing will slow down a lot after a minute).

Plot in a nutshell: Kang Seo Joon is an actor who has finds himself in a bit of trouble after alleged bar fighting. His manager makes him move in with Han Ji Woo, a damn good chef. Kang Seo Joon finds himself falling for the chef pretty fast.

  • 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii

    8. 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii

    Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes

    9.0

This is just a feel good series, like when you just want to watch something light and sweet this is a prefect choice.

Slight angst but overall kind of fluffy. Didn't really care about the side couple, since I found Tsuge's character really annoying. It was cute tho.

Plot in a nutshell: Adachi, a kind, shy, precious human being, turns 30 and because he is still virgin he gets magical powers, he can read peoples minds by touching them. After getting used to it he realize it's actually pretty helpful as it helps him understand people more. When he touches Kurosawa he realize that they have feelings for him.

  • He She It

    9. He She It

    Thai Drama - 2019, 3 episodes

    8.5

This is just something else, it's amazing. Definitely not the typical BL, so far from it. But it is bloody amazing.
It's also short so you have no excuses, go watch it. Then watch it again.

  • My Engineer

    10. My Engineer

    Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes

    8.5

Ignore everything else and just watch RamKing, those two are everything that is good in this world.

Plot in a nutshell: RamKing are the purest shit ever

Possible triggers: We don't get enough RamKing

  • You Make Me Dance (Movie)

    11. You Make Me Dance (Movie)

    Korean Movie - 2021

    8.5

Some could say it has troublesome dynamic, I'll just leave it at that.

Plot in a nutshell: Song Shi On is a uni student majoring in dancing, Jin Hong Seok is a debt collector. Shi On has a debt to pay for the company that Jin Hong Seok works in.  Eggs.

To me it was cute, it has some hurt from the past and it has some damn hurt near the end. But they are just cute most of the time.
