WHAT..AN..ENDING!!

Simply for the the outstanding ending of this episode alone, this deserves a 10! Yi Kyung/Jung AH walked in with such confidence! And to know that Seo Woo was recuperating from a car accident made it that much sweeter. As 5 years have past and the writer/director was giving her a break, this episode (except for last 10 min) was all about the other cast and how they have gone on with their lives. I would consider it a filler episode but it is understandable because of the circumstances.

This is not your ordinary drama!!

The first episode? What can I say. You learn to hate character real fast!! The aunt and cousin? No words!

Not one bit of sympathy...am I mean?

Well, another secret out of the bag!! What in the world is going to happen next! I was so glad for all of the secrets to be revealed. In Ha is the last to find out but not sure how much difference that is going to make because he already believed he was his brother but big difference that made in their relationship. Watch Young Rang, man, this woman can act!! This is my first time watching her and she is amazing! Now I have to watch Iron Empress which has been on my watchlist for awhile! Poor, poor Ji Ho, the absolute shock to realize that YR was his mother, upset him to no end but it does not look like the revenge has changed as their is so much pent-up anger in him. His sadness about him and Da Mi's relationship was a damper on things, like I said, can we feel any more sorry for him! I felt it still continue the vein of strong episodes. I have no idea what is going to happen next BUT if Woo Jin can come back to life, I'm betting on Chairman Yoo Man Se to walk in and shock the HELL out of everyone! Who's with me!!??

What the hell?! Cruella de Rang never ceases to amaze me but what a surprise for her!

Can I say, this was the first time I truly felt sorry for In Ha! Truly! He looked so pitiful for most of this episode, you could not help it. Evil Young Rang never stops! She is like the energizer bunny of evilness! But lo and behold, Ji Ho had his secret surprise all ready. So, who was surprised that Chairman Yoo got the ultimate revenge on his wife? Was it done because she loved another man and had his child or what? Bad enough taking the child from the orphanage but to turn around and bring him home and say its his? Ultimate revenge! Loved it! Now the question is, can this continue for the next 6 episodes?

His making his revenge list and checking it TWICE!

Another outstanding episode! You go, Da Mi! She burst the smarmy bubble of In Ha's so fast, I also, I said also felt sorry for him! Young Rang continues to be the bitch from hell. There just is no redemption for her or its going to come waaayyy late! The final minutes were pitch perfect. Now, everyone has to be wondering, what in the hell are they going to do with the next 8 episodes? I'm clueless!

The turn-around! About dang gone time!!

What an episode! I really had wanted to review every episodes but some weekends after watching the weekly episodes, I had to recover!! That's how intense they have been. Was anyone surprised by what happened? NO! Was everyone shouting for joy when Ji Ho DID NOT get on the plane? This one was!! What happened next fell into play with what we would expected as Mommy-Devil had blamed her other son (c'mon, you have had to figure that one out) for the psycho's action! To me, this signals the demise of any possible relationship between Da Mi and Ji Ho. No way! At this point, just about everyone would have to be dead!

Character development for the girls in the making

If you had no idea about the girls and how they are, this episode lets you explore the characters. Yi Kyung, the smart and sweet; Seo Yeon, evil incarnate in the making?!! Absolutely! Yi Kyung, willing to shoulder the responsibilities as being the sister definitely is shown in this episode. Sympathy for Yi Kyung's character will definitely begin to grow. The calm before the storm!

What was he thinking!?

The events that take place in this episode will have you shaking your head and wondering "What was he thinking?" This definitely sets up the future nicely as we see the development of a happy family with many secrets in the background. Let's just say, my faith in the neo-natal system of SK is in question. In real life, no way this could happen, right?1!! RIGHT??!!!

Interesting Start

I am going to try to actually review each and every episode until I quit watching this. Taking on a 120 episode drama that is not a 30 minute show will be daunting but revenge is my middle name! A lot went on in the first episode that was really not explained thoroughly but events happen that become very pertinent to the story later. Let's just say, this is going to be ride that will be unexpected. Granted the story is full of the usual cliques1 BUT with a twist! Talk about birth secrets on steroids! This episode was enough to intrigue me to commit to continue watching. I liked Seo Woo and cannot wait to see her as her character evolves. I imagine this is a cross between Five Fingers and Equator Man; female version. Enjoy!

Not a bad start

Its starts to give you background on the characters. It may not been super clear why Mr Jang is doing what he is doing; at least not apparent to me. I found the child actors to be doing an impressive job acting as the young versions of the adults to come. Kang San is a little hoodlum but you can't help but love him!

Evil lives in the name of Jin, Yong Bae and Jang Il

Goodness! This was amazing! The guilt looking over the slaughtered. Jang Il practicing his shock and dismay in the mirror was so creepy!! Soo Mi? No redeeming quality there either. The Shaman, still have not forgiven him for watching Sun Woo's dad getting killed and not batting an eye!

The hardest episode to watch

I cried and screamed buckets on this episode. Holding out hope that there would be some semblance of humanity in Jang Il but that hope ended not with the swinging of the drift wood but at the moment when he was dragging Sun Woo to the cliff edge and still looking into his eyes, knowing he was still alive, he tossed him him. I felt this was worse than his father dying at the hands of Yong Bae. Sun Woo came to the defense and saved Jang Il numerous times and for him to do what he did was unimaginable! Still gives me shudders!

Hitchcock reborn!

The music and the tone of this episode was so reminiscent to the Alfred Hitchcock theater period. The acting by both Uhn Tae Woong and Lee Jun Hyuk has been steadily getting better and better. We are now in Oscar worthy area. At this point, the tortured Jang Il character, you no longer have sympathy for, its gone out the door. The constant persecution of Sun Woo and going to make the revenge that much more deserved and especially sweeter. I cannot wait until next week! Thank God for Papa Tae Joo to the rescue soon

confusing Start

I have to rate this episode low because it was all over the place! Granted, I expected the time jumps but one minute, we are in the present, then past, then an operation, then I got lost! I admit, if it was not for watching this on viki and the comments, I probably would have stopped. Seeing Lee Bum Soo (History of a Salaryman) is the reason I will watch the next episode. Eye candy alone is not enough reason for me to watch (although, does not hurt the eyes!)
