For the BTS Stans of the World

As a new BTS fan I am glad I found and watched this series. There are some definite cringe moments like another reviewer wrote but overall it's a genuinely good show about their first trip to America. Coolie got on my nerves but I loved how Warren G was with them. I especially loved their version of Regulate and J-Hope and Jin's verse actually should have won that round but didn't. I also DID NOT know that JK could sing like. Their rendition of "Oh Happy Day" took me to church and that harmonizing with Tae! Loved it. That ending concert was a nice wrap to 2 weeks in the US. "Started from the bottom now we HERE!!!

Quite Charming

This show is so utterly absurd and sweet, one can't help but love it. I LOL every episode. Tamaki's over the top expressions and Nekozawa's popping up all over the place was so funny! This show is so binge-worthy and watchable in one setting. After the first episode you want to know what happens next. Plus each ep is only 23 minutes and won't take up your whole day or night! That being said I found myself wishing each episode was longer and that we had more of the background stories for Honey, Mori, twins, Hikaru and Kaoru, and Kyoya. I really enjoyed the actress that plays Haruhi as well; she's is so cute!! I usually don't even like shows where I don't find the male lead attractive but Yusuke Yamamoto was so damn good as Tamaki I found myself falling for him after each episode!! Another plus is that the show follows the anime fairly close.

I thoroughly enjoyed this show!

What is Happening in this movie??

The best thing about this movie is actor Fhi Fan who plays Soichi. If it wasn't for him I don't think I would like much about this movie. Hatsune Eriko who plays Kirie and Soichi's longtime friend (girlfriend) is quite good acting wise but I found her character to be too stupid for word sometimes. I also loved the muted tones used to film this movie. It harkens back to old late 70's and early 80's horror films.

The movie is about a town that becomes obsessed with Spirals or Uzumaki. There is some brief explanation about witchcraft and I wish they would have explored that more so that things made more sense but maybe the point wasn't for things to make sense. It was just a bunch of random weird things happening b/c of the spirals all over the place. Soichi was trying his best to convince our so called heroine, Kirie to leave but she was too stupid to listen.

There is only once song I remember gearing in the entire film and it was played while the credits rolled by Raven called Do As infinity and it was a really good song.

This is based on Junji Ito's manga of the same name and I would like to read that and maybe I should have read it before I watched this movie.

Watch for Park Hyung Shik

Premise: Jang Yoon-Ha is the youngest daughter of a chaebol (family owned conglomeration). Even though her family is extremely wealthy, she holds a part-time job at a food market. She hides her background as an heiress and attempts to find a man that loves her for herself. (taken from Dramacool website).

I watched this b/c of Park Hyung Shik (I recently finished watching Hwarang and needed to see plenty more of his magnificent face). He plays the second male lead and his part is much more compelling than our main leads.

This was my first rich girl/poor boy story and for the most part I enjoyed it but it's nothing to write home about plus Uee (Yoon Ha) and Seong Joon (Choi) were no match for our second leads Park Hyung Shik (Chang Soo) and Im Ji Yeon (Ji Yi). Yoon Ha's family was terrible and I genuinely felt bad for the girl. She has one of the worse mother's I have ever seen in a drama. Choi's face was so smug I couldn't get past that or his arrogance even though everything he told Yoon Ha was quite accurate.

Chang Soo and Ji Yi were so adorable and I about died when Chang Soo's heart was broken b/c of all this not being able to be with a person you love b/c they are considered beneath your station!! Lucky us we get a happy ending and I loved that and cheesy as it was.

Overall great soundtrack but I won't watch again. Except maybe to see Park's face!!

Not your Typical Review

So as a lot of people I came here for Tae but I ultimately ended up really enjoying this drama/romance/comedy even with the lack of a great story and the massive plot holes. This cast is too beautiful to pass up. I live for beautiful boys and will not watch one without them. Shallow as that may be.

This is a contemporary period piece and at first I was a little leery of that because I'm usually not a fan of people behaving in modern ways during past times but I was able to get past that because this drama was not to be taken seriously. Another reviewer said this is a KPOP fangirls wet dream and that is pretty accurate. I mean the boys here are too pretty and who cares I'm down for that. I also really enjoyed the costumes and the sets.

The story centers on the young King who has been exiled since he was a boy because of the numerous plots to kill him before he can take over the throne. His mother the Queen refuses to abdicate because there are still political factions that would prefer the King not be on the throne but also she is obsessed with her own thirst for power. There were so many people vying for the throne it was ridiculous. There is also something to do with power and class struggles but since this drama cannot be taken seriously so this part of the plot is trite to say the least.

What I loved - Park Seo Joon as Dog-Bird; Park Hyung Shik as the young King, Choi Min Ho as Soo Ho; , Kim Jee Soo as the Queen, Kim Taehyung as Suk Han Sung. I also loved the actor who played Pa oh Yoo Jae Myung he was so great and the scenes where is was pretending to be 22 years old had me in stitches. The entertainment value of the show is great.

I am usually not that enamored with women's faces but Kim Jee Soo - This bitch was flawless.

I don't remember the soundtrack other than V and Jin's Song.

I wouldn't necessarily watch the whole drama again but certain episodes will get a second and third watching.

I really loved the 12 episode anime and even from that you can tell there was more left of the story. I really wanted to love this movie too but like many others have said it was just too much information to cram into a 2 hour movie. You never get to see why she actually falls for Kyoya realistically and why he starts to like her back. The characters are too underdeveloped and some characters are combined here to accommodate the time crunch if you will.

Over all though, if you take it out of context it's an ok romance to watch on an afternoon if you go into it not knowing anything about the anime or manga.

Also, I don't remember the soundtrack so what doe that say about the movie or me? I wonder!

I Like Fluff

Like many of the reviews here. It was just something about this series that was worth watching even though it's cliché ridden and the ending was weird. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It was just a really cute vampire story. Plus Danson Tang and Michelle Wai were adorable together. I really liked all of the characters especially Roy and George. I am new to the Danson Tang fan club but whoo hoo!!

Episode 3 is my favorite. It's the romantic in me. When Hei Lam takes Roy out to celebrate his birthday and he blows out the "candle" I swooned hard people. Plus I loved the trip to Disneyland. Those scenes played out so well.

I don't remember an OST so whatever. I would not watch again b/c once was enough for me and I didn't like that ambiguous ending.

By The End You Will Feel Like You Wasted Your Time

I preface this by saying the only reason I wanted to watch and started to watch was because of Lee Min Ho.

That being said I was really enjoying this action drama in the beginning even with the ridiculous plot holes. I even liked the romance part of it at first. The show really started to go down hill for me when the fake father could never see the forest for the trees. His self-righteous and arrogant attitude just left much to be desired considering he stole a new born baby from it's mother just to take revenge. Starting with episodes 9 thru 15 it was just me wishing the fake father would die. I also hated when the FL wanted to be apart of the City Hunter's agenda. That was just too much. Plus it just slowed the show down and really didn't add much value to the plot as a whole. I started to hate watch. I kept wondering if the show could just go back to being an action drama instead of a damn melodrama!

This show could have ended at 16 but the show is 20 long drawn out eps and in episode 17 there was yet another plot twist and in episode 19 SPOILER ALERT the Prosecutor is murdered and I was not "here" for it!! It was completely gratuitous and unnecessary.

I could never rewatch this drama.

So Meh!!

The summary of this show was right up my alley. The story of a misunderstanding wherein hijinks ensue but alas it was not the case or I misinterpreted, whatever...

Like a lot of people I watched because of Lee Min-ho but this is his worst role to date from the ones that I have seen. I felt like he was just going thru the motions. If sighing could be personified, Lee Min-Ho's sighs should have been paid. I felt like he did more sighing that dialogue!!!! This was the firts show I watched staring Son Ye Jin and she was good as Gae In but the character is so annoying and unbelievably naïve. I'll have to look at her back catalog.

There is so much to unpack plotwise but here is the basics: The story centers on Jin Ho pretending to be gay to get inside Gae In's house b/c it is the inspiration for a new architectural project. This project pits Jin Ho nd Chang Ryul at odds. Chung Ryul used to date Gae In but he broke her heart when he cheated on her with her one of her bestfriends and LIVE-IN roommate, In Hee who he also planned to marry without saying a word. Jin Ho moves in with Gae in and he helps her get over Chang Ryul while falling for her but he is the biggest jerk on the planet most days and Gae In behaves like a child most days. We are supposed to root for these two but the relationship is so tiresome.

The things I liked about the show were the character of Director Choi (played fantastically by Ryu Seung Ryong) and Yoeng Seon, Gae In's other bestfriend. Practically every other character got on my nerves to no end especially, Yun Sup the father of Chang Ryul so terrible and irritating. I couldn't watch this again if you paid me.

Hot Guys and Hot Ramen

Jeong Il Woo as Cha Chi Soo was the best. I loved him from beginning to end as the entitled, spoiled and obnoxious brat to the man falling in love and being forced to go to the army. I loved the way his clothes fit him so perfectly. The cast was really great together, really good chemistry between everyone. Even though Eun Bi got on my nerves I did like her. I felt like her character really was trying to be herself and not pretending that she didn't have feelings for the rich boy just because he's rich. I was also glad that Cha Chi Soo's father was really only trying to save him from heartache and not saying Eun Bi wasn't good enough for him.

What's terrible about the whole series is episode 16 is horrible. Anti-climatic and no real fantasy ending that I like. It really wasn't even a real romcom ending!!. Park Min Woo as Ba Eul was hysterical and great comic relief. Didn't really understand what he saw in Yoon So Yi!

What I loved is that there were so many insanely funny and ridiculous moments that you can't help but laugh and love this show. Episode 6 in particular hand me on the floor laughing. The first 15 minutes of that episode is pure comedy gold.

Cha Chi Soo was so spoiled he cried about not havening a bidet in the bathroom. JIW was so funny in this series I was living for every scene he was in.

Tennis Anyone?

I love the Prince of Tennis anime and even though in the US I have only been able to watch the first 50 episodes I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is the Japanese movie version from 2005 and I would have liked it more had I not seen the animation or the 2019 Chinese remake on Netflix. As others have stated it was just too much information to cram into 2 hours . Plus I didn't like that some characters had to be combined or left out all together. I missed the guy bonding and friendships of the team and I missed the line-ups of the other school teams.

The thing I loved about the movie is that Konata Hongo as Ryoma was perfectly cast; as was Yu Shirota as Kunimitsu; he also looked a lot like the anime character which I totally dug!

A Fun Romance to Watch

So this is the first KDrama and Asian drama I ever watched and it started me on all the others I have since watched over the last few months.

I liked it. I thought it was paced just right and liked most of the characters. Ha Won is the heroine working hard to get enough money to pay for college and trying to be a good person. Going to live with 3 rich , spoiled heirs seemed like the easy way to make the money she so desperately needs. First is the arrogant Hyun Min who has always been the favored hei; then there is the youngest heir, Seo Woo who is also a music star; next is outcast heir, Ji Woon (my favorite - girls love a bad boy!).

This is another one of those stories where you know 2 people are going to fall in love but there will be obstacles to keep them apart and them fighting to stay apart all the while pining for each other. But who cares? I watch because I love romance and the fantasy of it all.

I loved Secretary Lee and he was so damn cute . The cast is really good looking but that's also part of the fantasy.

I loved the soundtrack. It's really good. I would rewatch for certain scenes like the first time Hyun Min sees Ha Won, the wedding scene and the time they all went on vacation. I also really loved most scenes with Ha Won and Ji Woon.

Drama and Romance

I love Lee Min-Ho; so I was down with watching this.

What I liked the most is that even though there was a lot of the back and forth BS that I don't like, Cha Eun-sang didn't try to act like she wasn't in love with him. I'd watch again for certain scenes and skip all the USA scenes LOL!!! I also loved the fact that Cha Eun-sang and Yoon Chan Young continued to be best friends even though Yoon Chan's girlfriend was sometimes jealous. Also glad that they didn't hook up. Had this been an American show that most certainly would have happened!!!

I also liked the character of Choi Young-do. You really get to see his breakthrough from villain to good guy. he initially got on my nerves but I started to root for him! Not for him to be with Cha Eun-Sang but for him to continue to be a good person.

My favorite character hands down though was Park Hui Nam; Cha Eun-sang's mother. She was so awesome.

Classic K Drama

I loved almost everything about this KDrama especially Lee Min-ho. I liked most of the cast. I loved the clothes on Lee Min-Ho and locations were awesome. This has the best soundtrack of all the Asian dramas I have watched over the last few months. I have become obsessed with the Hana Yori Dango series after watching and am currently reading the manga. I watch every now and again for certain scenes. My biggest gripe of the series is that Ku Hye-sun's acting was so over the top and obnoxious in all her eating scenes. I also hate that she never tells him she loves him in this version.

Very entertaining and enjoyable show

I loved the anime of The Prince of Tennis so when I saw this on my Netflix feed I was all in. This was so entertaining and I loved everything about the story, the characters and the tennis!! The casting choices were perfect. What I love most about the show is the male friendships and the camaraderie of it. I also loved that even though the teams were rivals there were really all respectful of each other.

What I dislike about the show is all the flashback scenes in almost every episode to the extent that t was just too much filler.

Episodes 33, and #37-40 were my favorites; 33 is Siyang's match with Ji Jingwu and I was here for it!!! so exciting. Also, Ji Jingwu being all concerned was so adorable. I was here for the bromance as well and would watch a show with just those two!! Loved Zhou Zhi's match and of course Lu Xia's final match.

Of all the episodes Episode 37 is one of the reasons I truly love this show. The scene when most of the tennis teams go to the all you can eat barbecue is spectacular and one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. It was so funny and all the people who didn't want to sit next to each other had me in stitches!

This show was so good and repeat watches are in order!!
