Cat Love

Finally we see Marwin get into his music. A nice episode, I think the producers are getting the commercial and the relationship development right.

Well that got serious quickly! From G-rated flirtations/bromance to R very quickly. It’ll certainly will make the story arc for the next 4 episodes a lot more interesting. Good job to the directors with being creative with camera angles, scene framing, and filters to get through the distance challenges of the actors.

Recovering Nicely

After an almost unbearable episodes 8 & 9, the last two episodes have recovered nicely with more straightforward stories and Marwin actually being likable. The story for Episode 11 is especially good as it returns back to the simple and cute episode storyline that made the early episodes good. My only gripes are that Jeff Satur’s (Marwin) acting was a bit stiff through the early parts of the episode and I wish that they would play up the cooking preparation a bit more like they did in the early episodes. I know they use the supplementary videos on YouTube to show Top /Gameplay’s cooking process but a bit of a teaser here would be nice - after all it is a commercial. Overall, a very good episode and it’s nice to see the underlying tension taking a PG level step up.

The only episode in this series that really…

The only episode in this series that really showed character depth. The first half of episodes were cute and fluffy, 6-9 were confusing and arguably could have been condensed but this one was nice and showed depth and understanding. One of the better wrap-up episodes for a rom-com series.

Turning Point?

Finally some depth and character development! Maybe the build up of Win characterized as a spoiled brat (as he was in the 1st part of this episode and the previous 3) has a point with Tops helping him from become a better person through these next few episodes. I also like the fact that they moved away from the previous formulaic template for the food parts. This time it was blended well into the storyline and actually has symbolic meaning, rather than an almost forced add on at the start in most episodes. With an additional 12 episodes this added depth could make this an interesting watch again.

Ending with a whimper

A disappointing episode... the episode formatting of the series is getting tiresome and when they don’t significantly tie the cooking, which what makes this series unique, with the rest of the storyline of the episode then it falls flat. This episode is an example of that. Episode 9 doesn’t really advance Marwin and Top’s relationship in any way. The whole Marwin eating more vegetable thing is the main revelation of the episode?!?! Very disappointing considering that this is the penultimate episode of the series. Additionally, Marwin is getting very irritating. I hate how their portraying him more like a spoiled kid with Tops as his servant to do his bidding. I guess that’s a bit of his character but I wish they would just keep it cute and weave the cooking aspects better in these last episodes.Hope they end this thing with much more of a bang!Btw - this is the first episode where Tops the Supermarket chain, the sponsor and producer of this series, is in your face.

Worst of the Episodes thus far

Not so much emphasis on Tops’ cooking In this episode, which is weird as that’s where you see Tops’ passion in each episode. Win in this episode was somewhat of an ass - which is unfortunate - as he treats Tops more like his servant rather than his friend or roommate. Maybe a plot twist in the final episodes akin to “He, She, It,” another series that these two starred in? I hope not, as that series was so dark and this one is cute and cuddly.

Better vlogs out there

The chemistry and edits between the character dialogs was particularly bad in this episode. There are vlogs on YouTube that do both much better. Hate to bash on people trying to be creative under difficult circumstances. Watch Quarantine Stories for this style of film making done better.

Frustrating and Funny

Frustrating but yet funny. Despite the frustrating start, resist the temptation to hit the fast forward button or stop watching and wait for it

The concept of having dance contest where the theme is breastfeeding. The remakes of the songs were hilarious!

Promising Start

A relative new genre for the Philippines. The storyline is promising. Looking forward to see how the series progresses. The hopefully won’t fall into the over dramatic, tele-novella style that tends to dominate Philippine series and movies.

Four Stars

Go get him Vee! Mark rightfully plays hard to get . Mark’s walls start breaking down unable to resist Vee’s pursuit. Nice way to end the series.

Pretty good and most definitely better than TOSSARA! The only mind bender is the passage of time. Was their relationship only a few days old? No, they’ve been seeing each other for a whole year! Yikes!

Good Start

Maybe the acting is better but thus far this is better than TOSSARA. Don’t get me wrong as I liked TOSSARA but ths one after the first episode shows more potential.
