Option to not have Trending articles alongside custom lists

I love the custom list feature and use it a lot (thank you for it) but I really truly do not care if an actor in a drama I will probably never see is rumoured to be omg dating or whatever other nonsense the So Korean hype machine is churning out. Let other people have it all they want, but please can those of us who find manufactured celebrity 'news' a turn off have the option to make it go away?
