This is a coming-of-age film that captures the troubles and growth of young people living in a provincial city. Taiyo Suzuki, a third-year high school student who lives on Hikashima island, famous for its puffer fish and octopus, begins to question the island's unique culture and customs, as well as living as the fourth generation of the inn, as he mingles with friends at a high school outside the island.
