"Squid Game" actor Oh Young Soo is accused of sexual assault.

On November 25th, JTBC shared the news that Oh Young Soo will be facing trial for allegations of inappropriate physical contact against a South Korean woman.

According to the reports, Oh Young Soo made inappropriate physical contact with a woman in 2017. It was stated that the alleged victim filed a police report against the "Squid Game" actor last year but no warrant was issued.

The alleged victim then appealed the decision. With this, the Seongnam branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office opened the case and reinvestigate again.

Oh Young Soo responded to the allegations through JTBC. According to the actor, "I just held her hand while walking along the lake trail to help her find her way. I only apologize because she said she wouldn't make a fuss about it in public if I did so. That doesn't mean that I'm admitting to the charges."

However, the prosecution decided to hand the case to the court after seeing the supporting evidence of the alleged sexual harassment sent by the victim.

After these reports came out, the organizers of the upcoming play "Love Letter" announced that the scheduled performance of Oh Young Soo on January 14, 2023, for "Love Letter" at Yeonji Hall of the Korea Sori Culture Center is canceled. According to YTN News, Oh Young Soo is already removed from the confirmed casting of the play starting today.
