Series where FL gets their shoulder cut, help remembering

This is a very strange memory from my childhood that I've been wondering about. Circa 2004-2008 TV series with wuxia elements, set in a non-modern time period (imperial?). I vaguely remember there being sword fighting and the scene occurring at night when FL breaks into some place. The name Ru Ying or Ru Yi also may be relevant.
