Inspired by the LGBT movements in Taipei, Wei Ye become passionate in making films to dispel misperceptions about queers and fight homophobia. His films mostly deal with national identity and sexual orientation, involve issues of foreign workers and LGBT rights. Currently he works part-time as an edit assistants for several studio films and TV shows, including "Dear Ex", a Netflix film who won the Best Editing in the Golden Horse Award. In 2016, he directed a dark comedy film "Open For You", which was selected by the 8th Kuan-Du Film Festival. (Source: Vimeo). Edit Biography
