Story.
The first 8 episodes had me in my feelings for both Tine and Sarawat and some of the other characters too. The series started off so great and had great potential to be even more great but the last 3 episodes ruined it for me even though they started to go downhill before that.
Jealousy?? Even though Tine and Sarawat were officially dating at this point they had begun falling for each other, or should I say Tine was falling for Sarawat. We saw the whole jealousy scene with Earn and Sarawat, So for the writers to use Pam as a plot device to make Tine jealous was just lazy and irrelevant for me because we had already seen that with Earn and Sarawat.
I don't know what happened along the way with some characters, this minute they are apart of the series and other time they completely vanish, this happened sometimes with both Tine and Sarawat's friends they only seems to be used only when needed and I wish the producer and director had used them better, I was happy to see that Tines friends were there for him when he needed them, especially Frong and same for Man and Sarawat.
Green ~ I really appreciated Green's character because as a bl fan, we don't ever get good femmie gay representation so it was refreshing to see his character, but that's about it. His character had its flaws from being stalker-ish to being just used as a tool by the writers to help Tine and Sarawat get together, silly but I guess it worked well for the first couple of episodes.
Communication ~ The communication in general is very inconsistent between the two main leads, they seem to have communicated better when they were faking their relationship, but once they became a couple the communication between the two just became non-existent. I'm not sure how the filming went prior to the release of the series airing but the main leads look slightly uncomfortable in the last few episodes compared to the earlier episodes and I found it really awkward to watch, and to even sit through that crappy end.
Oh my gosh, again where do I even start with the writers??? Sarawat character was first introduced as a confident guy who says what he feels and goes after the one he loves and will also protect that person he cares about. We see this multiple times throughout the series where he confesses to Tine, etc., yet the writers still manager to ruin his character in the end and sadly, they did the same to Tine character as well. The writer of this series is just sloppy.

Acting
In terms of acting all the actors played their roles well but I must admit I wasn't expecting much from the acting I was more interested in the story which was a huge let down. Metawin proves that he's really a hidden gem, I was very impressed by his acting after watching him, it's hard to believe that this was his first series. Bright a brilliant actor as well, don't get me wrong but I wish he had shown some more emotions in his face in this series.

Music
I loved the OSTs for this series a lot more than I thought I would have and that's a great thing, I never skipped the into or the outro of the series ever. The music again seems to have played a major role in the entire story, from being to end seeing that couple meet at a Scubbs concert and main characters favorite band is the Scrubbs, etc.

Overall, this isn't a terrible series at all but watching while it was being aired and having to wait every week for a new episode the ending came as a disappointment seeing that it had shown so much potential in the beginning. It feels a little bit more like a betrayal to fans honestly. I am not one for overally excessive sexy scenes or a lot of intamacy in bl but Tine and Sarawat should have just stayed fake dating because after they became official the two felt more like they've been in a relationship long enough and is just sticking around without any real love (if you know what I mean), sorry to say but in the last few episode I was slightly rooting for Mil his character seem to have been a better pick for Tine.

Brilliant in its own right, but..

Queen of Tears is a brilliant drama in its own right. While it may not be as original as I would have liked, it more than makes up for it with stellar performances by the main leads. Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won are exceptional as Beak Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In, respectively, bringing depth and emotion to their characters that kept me thoroughly engaged.

The storyline, though familiar, is well-executed, blending emotion, intrigue, and suspense. The character development, particularly within Hae In's family, adds richness and diversity to the narrative. The soundtrack is amazing, perfectly complementing the mood and enhancing the overall experience.

Despite its many strengths, the drama felt like it was missing a little something to make it truly outstanding and to add, episodes felt longer than they actually were which made drama feel slow at times. Nonetheless, Queen of Tears is enjoyable, with breathtaking cinematography and a good plot that will keep you hooked if you're patient.

WOW just WOW!

Like I'd usually avoid dramas that are dark but this was next level brilliant. The writers really sat and thought about how to write the story. Each character was uniquely brilliant, I love them and hated them at times but I'm so impressed by all the actors and actresses from this drama, I felt every bit of emotions that they protrait on screen and the camera angles were just amazing I felt like I was actually there. The Coach and Ye Seo mom was the most complex character for me, even tho I am not completely happy about the ending as a psychology major I so happy I decide to watch this.

Parenting 101 ~ or should I say how not to force your societal beliefs and traditions on your kids. The education system (not just in Korea but worldwide) is an absolute mess and its sad that parents are like this in reality they are so focused on their kids being the best at their studies that they forget that their humans too and they'd want to live their lives as the feel. For a character like Han Seo Jin she should have known better than to focused on getting Ye Seo into University and being on top knowing her background and where had been prior to entering the SKY Castle. She was poor but yet looked down on the poor because she was in higher class. I'm disappointed that they had her have that happy ending with her family after how she's had treated Hye Na and Woo Joo mom. To be honest she's just as guilty as the coach, it's true she was manipulate but had it not been for her greed to get to the top Hye Na death could have been avoided even if she didn't get to live happily ever after with her dad, it wasn't right for her to die. Ye Seo mom not only did she commit multiple crimes for her greed to make Ye Seo a top student but she destroyed evidence and send an innocent kid to prison and pretended to be a victim while she had been keeping the most secrets. I think Ye Seo character had the greatest development she was never evil from the beginner but some parts of her development was questionable, I kept thinking that had it been another student and no Woo Joo, she wouldn't have come clean about what happened to Hye Na or would she kept going with the crimes of her mom and coach to get accepted into University. All the families had their own individual issues and I love Professor Cha family his wife is classy queen that deserves all the love and respect and at the start felt like the only mother that toke her children's feeling into consideration, the twins were just cute at first but after seeing how they spoke up when the stituation wasn't fair and kept their own I fell deeper in love with them.

One thing about SKY Castle is that it's a drama I'd recommend, but it's not for the light heart drama watchers, the writers didn't miss adding every kind of psychological abuse to this show, it had everything from Suicide, Mental illness, Murder, Financial abuse, Physical abuse, Verbal and Emotional abuse. Manipulation toke it's own category, Coach Kim is a master manipulator and she is great at it too, using one's passion to drive them crazy to a tragic end. "Kids that are loved can endure through it. We can't change the messes up educational system, but for our child to endure through the educational system, we have to love him abundantly. That's our responsibility" Their was a quoted from the series that I really appreciate very much that, their was parts of this drama that I could relate to heavily and after thinking about it, it's sad that in the real world their are alot of parents that are like these characters and I hope that more drama and series can be made such as this one to rise awareness that mental illness in real tragedy based on how parents raised their children. Parents need to understand that not all their beliefs are what their children want to do and should also be open to idea of listening to their children and not telling them what to do 24/7.

P.S. thank you for reading this, these were my thoughts after watching this series and wanted to share it with others.

This is going to make your heart flutter

This is cute and filled with a lot of emotions, with each episode they touch on topics of heartbreak, love, jealousy, self-love, friendship, and family, Now, I would recommend watching if you're looking for a Japanese bl that has that soft melodrama romance with some funny scenes in between filled with all sorts of emotions with a teen and an adult at the center of it all.

The age cap is alright and pretty much valid from Minato's perspective, for reasons I will explain:
Majority of the show (mostly in the beginning cause this is still ongoing) Minato is very reluctant to show any emotions towards Shin regardless of how he feels when he's with him. Minato is more mature and an adult, who's outgrown his teens and is going through that self-acceptance stage in his life after overcoming his past. He's well aware that his actions will have repercussions he'll have to face and live with for the rest of his life and as such he is very cautious with the choices he makes.

(Take my word for it your going to fall in love with Shin's death stare) Shin is super charming yet aggressive at times and somewhat overly protective with his love for Minato-San. I do think Shin will at least wait another year before anything too serious he's still a high schooler after all. Minato-san is not overly dramatic but has super high gay panic with Shin that will make you smile at your computer screen like crazy.

The storyline is short and cute with sad moments here and there. We get to see both Shin and Minato's stories and Minato-san's past with his sensei. Shin's friendship with Asuka is super adorable and their bickering is not overbearing it's cute. Asuka is so precious we also get to see his side story too.

I think you should give it a watch, it's going to make your heart flutter, and who knows this might be the cutest Japanese bl you watch this year.

Not Perfect, but worth the watch

After watching KinnPorsche La Forte I'll never be able to watch bl the same. The series exceed most expectations and was a masterpiece in its own right, the storyline, the cast, the cinematography, the acting, the diversity in language. (Bible speaking English will probably become obession) Most things about this show was good but storyline had more potential and could have been better. It's going to give you heartache, make you smile and make you laugh (Tankhun is the star comedian in show but dont take him lightly). It will make you feel a bit confused (like Kim was for 80% of show) and it will tear your heart into pieces but make you feel so whole in the end with sweet cherry on top (especially VegasPete).

Now, trigger warning this series has a lot of mafia action, gang violence, guns and war and a bit of an abusive partner and BDSM in a few episodes, not to mention your getting some really spicy scenes too. It all plays in well for the storyline especially for the second leads but no worries everyone gets their happy ending, sadly not for Sébastien and Elizabeth tho, may they rest in peace.

I truly appreciate the entire production crew and the actors for all their hardwork on this series. I am so proud and KinnPorsche (ApoMile) they deserves best couple award cause they made me feel so loved.

This show will change your perspective on bl's and give you a whole new meaning, special if your use to watching most bl that are school based.

The acting was stellar and I'm so proud to say I am a huge fan of Bible as this was his first acting role and he did incredible well. Totally worth the watch.
