I would rewatch it for the chemistry between the leads

Li Yan Shu (FL) : First things first, for someone who is supposed to not take shit from anyone, I lost count of the number of times she was slapped by people in the show, including the second male lead, her step sister, and Mrs. Gu (mother figure for the male leads). (The writers really overdid the slaps)

At her best, she was lively and mouthy, so it was painful to watch such a beautiful person brought down by bunch of harpies. Although the ML has a presence, it isn't as powerful as the female lead, the magic doesn't happen until the FL enters the picture, that's when the show goes from "am i going to continue watching it" to "Yes! I picked the right drama to binge watch!"

Gu Cheng Ze (ML): One gorgeous man. Loyal to the family that adopted him, even when the old brat didn't deserve it. Protects the FL on numerous occasions. Is kinda a green flag. Watching the FL and ML together is such a joy.

I wouldn't mind watching another drama with these two actors in the lead role.

Honestly, Season 2 is much better.

Slow burn romance

Ding Xiao Rou (FL): Pretty soul. Often said nonsensical things but she seemed magical. Add to that the actress playing the role is gorgeous and looks like a princess out of Taylor swift's official music videos.

Xiao Rou (ML): He was honestly a sweet guy. Despite all the things that went wrong because of the FL he always remained nice, even when they were bickering. Apart from that one scene where he said some harsh things (happens to all of us) he is quite adorable. He did need a little push to get FL back but they weren't really together at the time.

Nan Sa Sa [ Xiao Rou's bestfriend]: We all wish we had a bestfriend like that. Another gorgeous woman with a heart of gold. So, i'm very glad that she ended up with the Second Male Lead.

These three pretty much carried the show for me. I might rewatch it sometime again in the future.

Even with the weird curse it was a fun and intriguing.

When the show first came out, I didn't know it would turn out to be so good. Even though I'm not someone crazy about dogs, this was so sweet. It started out fun, became a bit intriguing, and ended on a good note. I had hoped that the low-key third couple whose fate the show revolved around would also end up together but that didn't happen.

I have watched two drams featuring Cha Eun Woo, one is this one and the other is True Beauty. While he did okay in True Beauty, this character suited him even better. The gentle non-toxic green flag of a guy. Park Gyu Young was so fun to watch, especially when she continued inviting him for soju. Cha Eun Woo tried to imitate it but sadly couldn't match it, but it was fun to watch. The chemistry between the 2 was bomb! The kissing scenes, one of the best I have seen in Kdrama so far.

All characters were great, well-written. I do wonder if Choi Yool was Jin Ah's husband in the past life. Since she said good bye to the mountain spirit maybe they'll get together. I like both Lee Bo Gyum and Choi Yool for her, no doubt they would be good to her, but they have some growing up to do.

It is worth the watch.

Surprisingly Good. Pretty sure what we are seeing is the story written by FL.

I love the romance story arc so much that I don't want this to be simply a story written by FL. All the supporting characters are pretty decent and it would sad to see none of them once we are back to the real world. These two look so good together. I liked their bickering arc and I am also enjoying their lovey dovey arc.

It is certainly not boring like "Everyone Loves Me".

Some people's cringe is fun for others

I read the reviews before I started watching the drama, the first episode seemed fine to me, but the second episode onwards it was very cringey. There's no story. Its just sloppily put together moments. They have taken a concept and decided to do whatever they want with it.

The actor portraying the ML is handsome but his clothing makes him look like a cheap rent-a-cop. His stylist in this drama failed so bad. In the latter episodes he did seem to have some good suits but that's about it.

The plot is not coherent enough for me to sit through more than 10 episodes. As I was watching it, I kept thinking that things would get better now but no, it just was never interesting. The lead couple had chemistry that was not properly utilised by the story.

Aww. The Chemistry is bomb. (A possible breakup on the horizon (Just a guess))

I'm definitely in this to watch these two light up the screen with their passion. They have had about 3 accidental weird kisses when they weren't in a relationship. First two when she drank the drugged wine for him, which was some sort of ecstasy. The third one when he fell on top of her as fainted due to low blood sugar. However, the first kiss they had when sober and aware was kinda a miss for me. The ML was good at it the FL not so much. But that's just a one time thing, she later made up for it and more so and I'm never doubting her skills.

The 2ML is pretty decent. Hope he doesn't end up too heartbroken.

The story seems to be progressing like normal Cdramas, so, I'm sure we are in for a breakup somewhere down the road, especially with so many people out to get the FL & ML.

The title and the poster hooked me in, but I'll be watching for the leads.

Just finished the first two episodes: Ep 1& 2:

So far, we still have the young actors playing the leads, so I feel like we are going to see a lot of them growing up at least 10 episodes worth (just a guess). I do want to see the grown up version so I'm hoping its less than that.

Initially, I was kind of put off by the style the drama is shot in. It could have been better. Not really a fan of the current family dynamics between the women in the house. I'm sure many of you are going to start out hating the FL's mother, Mi Ja. I feel a bit sorry for her, but instead of walking the straight line, she keeps trying to find shortcuts and even ways to cheat people, including the ML's grandfather. She is not even a decent mother to her children, so damn chaotic. I like the interaction between the leads, its innocent and pure and fun to watch. They are currently the reason, I'll continue watching the drama.

Ep 3 & Ep 4: I hate that ahjumma part of it so I mostly skip those scenes. I love that the FL is so shameless and ML is equally so in denying her and fooling her. He was having none of her bullshit. The FL's mom keeps getting on my nerves, a pro at gaslighting people. Poor ML's grandfather. I'm so glad we have already skipped years and are now being introduced to the adult characters. I expected the MLs personality to be a bit different so its taking some time to get used to it. He is more of a awkward guy who look younger than the FL. I'm surprised that the FL didn't recognize him.

Ep 5 & 6: Oh, what the hell is wrong with the adults in this drama, they just keeping bad investments. The ML's mother is now using his grandpa's death as a collateral and all is forgiven now that she has the money? Time healed her wounds then. FL's mother is always going to get on my nerves so that's that. Why on the earth is she trying to ruin her daughter's life. And here's Park Do Ra, falling for her favorite Oppa again, only for him trying to use her. Love the last scene of episode 6.

Ep 7 & 8: Wow, Dae Chung finally realizing what the foot in one's mouth tastes like. With him, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens a third time. I do feel like the aunt needs to stop letting that idiot guy use her like that. She should have just let him be and not gotten together with him again. He thinks he is too good for her. The leads family are so cross with each other its going to be so damn troublesome for them to ever get together. The trailer for the next episode looks so dramatic. I'll have to watch it to see if it still is as interesting. I skipped so much of episode 8 as most of it focused on the characters that are too damn boring.

Ep 9 & 10: Do Ra doesn't learn from her mistakes, a trait likely learned from her mother. Why does she have to go and fall in love with a guy who doesn't want her. Ever after being rejected, she is going to be stuck on him and embarrasses herself. What I miss in this drama is, how we haven't yet seen Dora's two brothers. When are they going to be introduced. What are they doing now?

Ep 11: Oh, maybe I skipped a lot of unnecessary scenes to have missed the connection. Wow these families are so interconnected. The idiot who has been rejecting the ML's aunt is the Dora's brother. And I finally put a face on her other brother in this episode. I don't understand why Do Ra hasn't matured at all. We get the giddy feeling you get when you meet your first love, but she keeps badgering him even after so many rejections, refusing to hear his concerns. I like her character being the standoffish actress better than this overactive little girl. Since they got together so soon, I'm a bit worried about how many breakups we we are going to be dealing with. Especially worried about this Gong Jin Dan guy trying to ruin her because she rejected him.

Ep 12: There's only one thing I want to talk about all the parents in the drama. What on the earth is wrong with them! All of them are so chaotic, especially the shameless FL's mom and ML's greedy older relative (I'm not sure who she is to him). His father is also crazy, making one poor investment after other. Both Dora and Dae Chung were adorable together. I am a bit worried that it isn't gonna last, but then I am reminded of Dae Chung in love when he was young and the lengths he went for, so maybe he'll do the same for Do Ra. Let's find out.

Ep 13: I just remembered that he gave up on the girl once he found out that he was adopted and felt that he owed his family everything. So, yeah, it means that his family will always be first to him, if they say drop the girl, he might just do it again. Hoping that it isn't the case in the future. It is easy to feel sorry for Dora, she keeps being dragged by everyone, her mom the worst of them all.

Ep 14: Another heartbreaking episode where the worst mom of the year keeps leeching of Dora. She has gambled away so much and owes so much that poor Dora has to take a drastic step. This will be real turning point in Dora's life. She is going to be treated like crap by many people. I wonder how something this huge will change the dynamics between Dora & Dae Chung. This might be the end of them for a while. I just want to hug Dora and tell her to do a record a video about her mom's leeching and Gong Jin Dan's harassment. (About the story, I was wondering how the writer would keep things interesting for 50 episodes and this turn of events seems to make for a good story)

Ep 15: The episode started out so sad. Do Ra becomes the ultimate commodity, it's either the photoshoot or the guy who almost assaulted her. At the same time, poor Dae Chung, feeling so helpless at not being able to lift the weight off Do Ra's shoulders. He might have reacted strongly in the beginning but he was so understanding about it later to only have Do Ra break up with rudely. Up to this point, I believed that she would marry the Gong Jin Dan, but things did not follow the script I had in my mind. She ran away from him and tried to contact Dae Chung. It was a given that he didn't believe her when she decided not to marry that guy for the money or the scandal she got caught up in. I have only now realized Im So Hyang is such a good actress, she did such a good job in portraying the listless, hopeless, & devastated character when Do Ra figured out that there was nothing more she could do, no one there to help her, & no one to believe in her. The only way out of it was to let go. This episode was such a tearjerker! I can't wait for the next one.

Ep 16: Last episode was amazing. But why did they have to mess up this one. I was okay with Amnesia at least since Do Ra would get to live a better life and when the doctor said her face might change, I was a bit hopeful. But that all went down the drain when they decided to pull Clark Kent/Superman disguise. Had it been some other actress, it would have easier to convince us that no one recognized her on set, especially Dae Chung. But it was Im so Hyan with a face that instantly recognizable. They could have at least disfigured her a little for it to make sense. I finally figured out who Do Jun was. Right now, all I can say about the people around her is that they are blind.

Ep 17: Come on now, the more I look at her, the more upset I get. Why couldn't they at least modify her face with makeup to make her look different? I have seen instagram vfx makeup artists do wonders, the drama must certainly have had more budget than them. Instead they just want us audience to believe that yay be happy that Do Ra Is alive, but sorry she's not recognizable because we gave her a makeover from uber-stylish to quirky. Oh, we put on the glasses for an additional touch. But since I liked the drama and our Dae Chung & Do Ra, I have decided to overlook that fact and pretend what the creators want me to. I enjoyed the episode once I started watching it with that attitude. This episode was way better than the previous one. It is surprising that things are unveiling so fast. I hope that once Dae Chung finds out the truth, he tells Ji Young about it and then tell her to go back with her grandma and live a better life away from all the crazies. Her mom will try to bleed her dry again. I would have liked for Dae Chung to go with her as well, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen because of his career and family. He still has to find out that he has a sister.

Ep 18: I like where it is going. I get that Pil Sung is trying to keep it under the wraps, but Do Ra isn't someone who'll allow that. It is going to be a difficult road for her again.

What a beautifully written and well-depicted drama!

Byun Hye Yeong is hands down my favorite female character in all of the Korean drama's I have ever seen. She is such a role model to all the women out there. Love her character to pieces! Her values are so developed and progressive it is so hard to see female lead characters like her. Kudos to the writer and the muse the character was based on! Jung Hwan complimented her so well. He looked after her even when she pretended to be strong enough to do things alone and was supportive of her regardless of how foolish his mom was. He didn't enable his mother but actually called her out on her shit.

Joon Yeong was a bit dislikable at times but once he found out that the got his girlfriend pregnant he sure grew up a lot. NGL hate characters like Yoo Joo but she also grew up even though she took her sweet time doing it.

All of the couples in the drama were so good to each other. They took little missteps a time or two but always made sure to get things right. Well worth the time spent. I would highly recommend it to anyone who asks in future.

Beautiful! Has fabulous & talented cast all sights for sore eyes!

This was my first time seeing Lee Seung Gi act and I was smitten. Never have I ever seen someone rock that hairstyle in the same way. No one can do it better, while Park Sae Roy in Itaewon Class came close, he still ranks second. Normally, I do not like characters who dress like Son Oh Kong, not because of the clothes but because very few can pull it off, especially as well as he did. The character was just wow!

Cha Seung Won's Ma Wang was just as incredible to watch. He is another actor that I enjoy watching. The plot was simply perfect. Since I have just watched it for 2nd time and am more happy with it this time around, I can't find fault.

During my first watch, I was frustrated with the ending, but seeing how motivated Son Oh Gong in getting Jin Seon Mi back, I'm 100% sure he succeeded. Would I love to watch a second season with him following her to netherland and rescuing her in the process? Hell yes, but I don't mind that it wont' be coming since I have gotten my closure.

What's there to not like?

I feel so great when I am introduced to the MLs like Yoo Na Moo. He made the entire drama worth the watch. Once before, I wasn't interested in watching this because I read someone's comment that the actor who portrayed the ML wasn't expressive. And having seen him in "Now, We Are Breaking Up" I kinda agreed so I thought I wouldn't miss anything if I skipped this one. Was it wrong!

When you go into a drama with that kinda of negative opinion about the actor, you can't help but nitpick everything they do. But I couldn't find fault with his acting in here. He was the perfectly cast for the role and now it makes me want to see more of his dramas. (I dropped both "Now, We Are Breakign Up" & "My Roomate is a Gumiho" halfwa, so I'm gonna go watch them now) The young actor portraying the ML (Nam Da Reum) was another perfect cast.

The whole cast was just amazing to be honest, including the reporter who got on our nerves and her death seemed justified. The serial killer father, the victim parents, the brother, all of them were just too good.

While both the actress playing the FL did a good job, I'm more impressed with the younger actress (Ryu Han Bi).

Love the Leads! Leaving a review after 2nd Rewatch.

Kim Hye Yoon, Rowoon, and Lee Jae Wook, all three did such a great job together. During my first watch, this was my first time seeing Kim Hye Yoon in action and it was such a great experience. She is an embodiment of the character Dan Oh. Usually when characters use baby voice is it so damn annoying, but with her it somehow wasn't annoying. I don't know why, it doesn't make sense to me either. She was overall such a treat to watch, she honestly carried the whole drama and whiel I love the other characters, without them, she would have still rocked this show.

Coming to the love triangle between Dan Oh, Haru, & Kyung: Dan Oh & Haru were so lovely together. They simply fit each other too well and didn't have much angst, which usually makes the romance part a bit boring but the comedic scenes and the presence these two brought to the screen kept it from being so. Haru is such an adorable character, it impossible to not love him. One of the greenest flags. Despite labelling Kyung as a jerk early on, I couldn't help but want them to be together during few episodes. Their push and pull was a bit interesting to watch. There's just something about Lee Jae Wook, no matter what kind of character he plays you just want to watch him get what he want. Where Haru was the green flag, Kyung certainly was the red flag.

Before my first watch I read somewhere that the they Dan Oh & Haru don't end up together in the Secret, but Dan Oh & Kyung do. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Dan Oh & Kyung call it quits and the comic Secret ends. After which, Dan Oh & Haru meet in another comic and reunite under the tree.

Personal Favorite! Lost count of the number of times I have already rewatched this.

Jung Jae Chan is so damn adorable and Nam Hong Ju is more so. They make a lovely couple and are such a treat to look at. I just love the idiotic things Jae Chan does, the casting directors did such a wonderful job with all the characters, especially Lee Jong Suk . He brings life to characters that are a little weird. Bae Suzy looks so damn phenomenal with her short hair, I know, right now, I'm focused on the visuals but dammit they all look fabulous.

Coming to the story, I love it. I mostly skip the scenes with the flashbacks, because there are a some that were not needed. The creators should have tightened that part of the story. The rest was amazing. This is one of the dramas that I return to when I want to feel good and have a few laughs.

Did anyone notice the lottery numbers on the TV when they were investigating? I so wish Jae Chan would have turned around at the time, I just wanted to see his expression.

The best part about this drama is that the embarrassing moments that would in other dramas give us second hand embarrassment just make me laugh and appreciate the eccentricity of the characters. Each and every character in the show is also well written, be it a dramatic scene or a comedic one. The only dark spot is the death that I know of now but didn't see coming when I first watched the show.

Beautiful (Another one I'll be adding to my rewatch list)

First of all, what a gorgeous ensemble cast. This drama is especially a treat for all the romance readers out there. "We all have but one dream, to be sucked into the our favorite books."

Both the ML and FL did such a good job of portraying their characters. It was a bit draggy when the ML thought that everything was FL's fault, even when it didn't make sense. That lasted far too long for me. Apart from that their relationship was wow! Wow, as in, the chemistry between the two is just mind-blowing. When these two characters locked lips, sparks flew. All their intimate scenes were so well done.

SML was such a adorable and great guy. I was hoping to see his real-life counterpart once ML regained his memories, but that didn't happen. At least he got the happy ending he wanted.

Chuchu was one of the most annoying characters in here. Her one-dimensional character and childish voice just made it difficult to listen to her dialogues. (I also skipped most of the scenes with ML's family and their disputes over the company and fortunes, that part just wasn't fun for me.)

Despite that, this is pretty drama. No regrets on the time spent watching this.

Barely Any Annoying Cliches

The lead couple were kind of bland after a while, it was good to watch them get together in the first 10 episodes, after than it became too boring. They were both good together and good to each other, so a green flag couple.

The second couple was much more interesting however Shu Wen Bo was so damn insecure that he made Ruan Qing Xia cry so many times. This is a perfect example of asking people what they want instead of just making a decision for them.

The third couple, ML's sister and Dr Shao were pretty good together as well. Glad that they got the second chance.

Episode one is a bit bland, the setting is not so great, i might have given up if not for the lead characters. The pacing is also quite slow. I'm glad that I didn't give up. It is one of those shows where you have to pay attention to every scene. It was really well made.

Lu Zhao Xi (ML): He is adorable with the devil face he tries to make, its so embarrassing and cute at the same time. He was decent person from start to end. He did like to tease the heroine a bit and behave like a child pulling a girl's pigtails, but it was fun. Apart from that, there was no toxicity detected.

Ye Shi La (FL): She matched the ML's adorableness and was just as decent of a person as the male lead. Their romance was slow burn and they took time to understand each other. She often played along with the ML knowing that he was teasing her, but sometimes she took him seriously.

I liked the actress in the drama The Day of Becoming You, which also has a similar pace.
