Can I be the one in your heart?

This is purely my own feelings so my own opinion and this is my first thai survival show I've ever watched.
I would say, it's not perfect (what I mean is, wish they included one or two more judges instead of 3) but it's still a tv show and I enjoy it. But I wish I didn't know those 5 finalists before watching this, it could bring other feels lol

However, I feel like some were more favored than others, maybe it happened for every tv show, I don't know.

But thanks to this program, I've discovered such talented persons. As I said in my comment section I would be sad for some people that I've rooted for even though I already knew the end but glad that some people made it in their own way.

It was so endearing to see all of them, the passion they have, their efforts, their perseverance and they also brought some great performances!

It's a bit of irony but even though they were youngers then me except some were my age at that time, I also learnt from them about not giving up and no matter what happens, don't stop improving ourselve.

A Heartwarming drama

So I watched the online version that has 40 eps unlike the 46 here

Well, I don't know how to start but in my opinion, it was one of the best chinese dramas I have ever watched. It was so relatable and realistic by the development of the story. What I also really appreciated was, they include other characters stories such as Li Jianjian's friends, especially her bestfriends.

It's true that I was so endeared when the three main characters (Li Jianjian, Ling Xiao and He Ziqiu) , were young and I was litterally binge watching those eps bt then, when they were adults, the feels were not the same but I was still attached / endeared by them. At first, I was touched/moved by one character and it was Ziqiu. Each scene, my eyes teared up when he appeared. I must applaud the child actor who delivered really well his expressions, and the teenager one / the adult one playde by Zhang Xinchen was a realy good actor. Whenever I saw him on screen (but it was mostly at the begining), he made me cry. I really like his character, I wanted to comfort him so bad.
And then, when they came to the story of Lingxiao, I also wanted to comfort him and I hated his mother but I think, it's a pity that in asian countries, they didn't give some professionnal helps (to see a psy) because I know, it was so hard for her since at that time, she lost her daughter. I feel like on one hand I hated her for her behaviour and she hurts her own son, Lingxiao, she litterally destroyed her family, impacted them, especially Lingxiao but on another hand, I feel like I pity her because they didn't help her (I mean to help her healing when she lost her daughter). But the actress was excellent.
I really loved Ziqiu's mother and when I wanted to hate her because she abandoned her son, I didn't hate her when I knew the truth and I'm glad for the ending she got. She's indeed a beautiful person.
Of course, I was jealous of Li Jianjian's relationship with those two haha but seriously, I really loved their dynamics and I don't know why, there was a moment, I wanted her to end with Ziqiu because, even though I knew it was only siblings energy but when they were adults, they were looking good together. But maybe, these two actors would collaborate again later, maybe because I'm sure, the chemi will be there!
I think, The spotlight goes to the dad of Li Jianjian, what a humble man! I really appreciated his character as a father (i think, the best father here) who was here for them.

I don't know what to add but each characters were interesting and relatable (well not everyone but some yes) but anyway, all the actors brought alive these characters. Go ahead teaches us some life lessons, how to be a parent, how to love each other as family (and sometime even when they are not blood releated) and friends and also, how to overcome obstacles in life. It's also true when, we grow up, we migt be not as close as before. It was so real, I felt that.

For the romance part, I honestly wasn't so surprised since I knew at the beginning with some details and differences.

As an Asian, I really relate to them and for me, Go ahead is one of the best slice of life drama and it has now a special place in my heart.

In addition, all the OST bring some magical feelings (well not magic but it brings something to the heart and to complete the drama), Beautiful soundtracks to listen, mostly before sleeping, when it rains or at night. It somehow, comfort us.

Emotional and thrilling story

Deep down in my heart, it's a 10/10 but because of some details and some parts which are making me roll my eyes and it also got in my nerves, it's a 9,5 but still a great serie. Worth the watch and I personally love everything they managed to show us such as the cultural references and some investigations (people didn't really like actions scenes but I love it). It was not boring for me, it was entertaining from the beginning to the end. But also the romance between the two main leads.

As I'm a Buddhist (yeah I know I don't like to share about religion and on) but I would say, I can relate to it more and I'm enjoying so much with the belief, the past life and the legend of Naga and Garuda.

The production of this show sets the bar high, it has some really beautiful scenes but I didn't really like the pixels and I didn't mean to see everything, it just that if they have to pixelize then, they could use another angle and it still could turn well!
I was a bit annoyed, mainly because some scenes were interesting but they cut it quickly (then maybe it's an editing problem).

But overall, I really appreciate this show and it's the rare one I watched several times lol
Thanks to this, I really love the acting of Billy Patchanon and also Heng Asavarid (he's a great villain, I love to hate him so much as Doctor Chalothorn!! Really he was the high light of this show, he was annoying yet entertaining and got me goosebumps).
I also like the rest of the actors / characters but for me Dr Chalothorn is the high light lol

The final episode was great but at the same it has flaws and there's a part in which I felt it was recap or a fanmade video so I mean, It was not that necessary, they could use this time to add some extra interesting scenes to develop the story (but I would say I didn't mind it but it just, it took "more" time than I thought. )

Lastly, I love that intro song and the rest are cute and nice to listen.

I would rewatch it despite some flaws but I want to say it's still a pefect serie since I really enjoy it.

Beautiful and inspiring

Before wanting to start this movie, I didn't really expected something and didn't read the synopsis but the title itself intrigued me a lot.

Despite having somehow a slow pacing, I don't know how to describe it (but thinking again it was the right pace for this kind of movie lol), it still conveys a nice message and also showing some beautiful art.

As Sosuke said, I also want to know more about Sumi-e, I already know Chinese calligraphy which I sometimes practice in my own but didn't know anything about this Japanese art, Sumi-e.

It was kind of healing and heartwarming to see characters that are invested in this art and that can bring them new feels, a new version of them (I don't know if it makes sense..)

Anyway, a nice movie but maybe for not everyone, as I said it was somehow slow or maybe it lacks something so that's why I was a bit struggling to give a rating (but there's some moments later in the movie that change my mind).

A heartwarming and realistic movie

A few years ago, I stumbled upon the first volume of the manga at a mall, it was so random but the cover got me intrigued and I checked it like this, alone, in public. That was interesting and lovely that I wanted to keep reading it (although I'm the type of person who consumed manga).

So when I've heard there's a movie / a live action adaptation, I was so happy and wanted to watch it! I don't know why I waited for so long but I'm happy that this year, there's a Japanese film festival online and thanks to this I was able to finally watch it.

I love the grandma, she was so adorable, so sweet, she makes me smile and Urara the high school girl she's so relatable.. I understand her that the way she behaves, it does make sense. I would like to befriend her.

How can anyone imagine that 2 different generations would build such a precious friendship thanks to a BL manga?! That was so sweet and heartfelt to watch.

I also like the friendship with her childhood friend also I wished for more but they decided to keep it simple.

This show makes it so natural and realistic, no shame and no "taboo", simply 2 persons who share the same passion, they have the right to like something that make them happy. It's just beautiful. There's a moment, It was emotional that I almost shed a tear. So yes, definitely a must-watch.

It's like welcoming an old friend

Around 4 years later, since the I've watched the first season, I'm glad to be back again. Honestly, I've almost forgotten what happened and since the wait was quite long, I've almost forgot they were releasing another season (so the hype and the anticipation were a bit down from me) lol

So, I would say, when I've started, nostalgia brings me back, seeing again familiar faces, the settings, the vibe it's like returning to a home and welcoming or joining an old friend that I've not seen for years.

The complexity of this serie is, in my opinion, its charm and I'm going to be a bit contradictory but I think this is also why I'm not that hooked but I still watch it till the end and still enjoy it. Honestly, sometimes I couldn't follow or was a bit confused or maybe I was a bit struggling to follow... Maybe if there's a bit of action or maybe jokes (well, I know it could be worse since I'm not bilingual hence I won't really catch the pun) and poetry like in the first season I would like it more. However, at the same time, I also think it's a part of the development of the characters that it's more heavier and sometimes very emotional. But we do have some funny and even iconic moments (thanks god and for sure I'll rewatch some scenes in particular).

I still give it a high rating because it deserves it and it's also because I was also impressed by many elements such as the layered characters (omg I loved the acting, all the actors were great), the production (like I said the settings / the vibe), the costumes (I love traditional clothes, very pretty!!) and the OST (really beautiful and I even got goosebumps by listening to it).

So, yes this drama isn't easy to watch but we have to carefully enjoy it (like as we take a sip of some kind of tea, I don't know why I'm talking about tea lol) and it's an interesting journey to follow.

p-s: I'm sorry if my rant / my review seems a bit weird but I've tried my best to share my thoughts (especially that English isn't my mother tongue but I love using it haha) and I think I must forgot some others things but I'll keep it as it is for now.
And for sure, I'm going to be here for the third season haha, see you there!

Not really bad but not really good

First of all, I really love watching horror movies despite being a scardy cat but this, it makes me laugh for a few times and was getting frustrated because of some illogical behaviors from the characters...

Ok, I admit, I appreciate the siblings dynamic, some interesting and dark elements however I'm skeptical for the writing of the characters, especially Yak the big brother (although I'm glad to see the actor Nadech in a horror movie because he's one of the first Thai actors that I have watched in romantic comedy drama, so it's a bit of fresh air lol).
The acting is also good but as I have mentioned, the writing of the characters were not that convincing.

It lacks something that could make it better. Maybe because an introduction since I just happen to see there's a second part lol
I'll see then!

Blessings....Or not

This serie has an interesting idea, it was indeed difficult to bring such topic, a bit provocative and , as I dare to say, done smartly.

I'm not the person who have the right to say it's right or wrong (obviously, you know the answer) but it's not shocking to me, I won't go in details but I've learnt that similar cases could exist, unfortunately.

I don't know how to explain my feelings but I was, for sure, invested in the story, it even gave me goosebumps, I love the settings, the atmosphere (pleasing to watch and omg they still make me want to go to Thailand to visit the Temples) and of course, the acting was really good!
I was already familiar with some of them so I was glad to see them again in a different project and for the other, it was a nice surprise.

The music was interestingly fun and catchy, mixed of modern / rap music with a traditional vibe (I mean, it reminds me of the prayers?) and I think I recognized Milli's voice, I think it's her with another artist.

It's somehow an interesting approach to show some cultural and belief with younger generation along with the perception of today's religion (I'm sorry it was a bit awkward, I don't knowhow toexplain correctly...)

Finally, I would recommend it for all the "reasons" I have mentioned above, it's worth the watch to explore this subject.

Nice costumes, impressive performances

For me, it's a bit hard to rate a TV show but anyway I gave it a 8.5/10 which is normally good.
It's just sometimes, maybe it's their culture or their know-how but they really like to ask some very personal matter to the contestant that makes me feel uneasy / uncomfortable. I know they are quite opened about it but still it's a show you know lol

And there's also some "fights" (verbally but sometimes I know it's fake but for example DJ Nui was getting hit by the other judge (Sena Hoi) because he said something useless or something like that).

But overall, what I like the most it's of course the performances, some are really memorable and also the costumes. However, for the group Jungle War, I expected a bit of variety. There was only the wild rabbit and the three others, all were crows (although they changed it with Water crow, Rainbown crow and if I'm not mistaken, Little crow.. Still it was just different kind of crow LOL
But it was really nice to see 3 different themes (Jungle War, Sky War and Marine War).

So, at the end, that was quite entertaining. It might be pity that isn't subbed for international viewers but if it's about performances I don't think there's the need to translate because music is universal and that I'm sure, everyone could feel the emotions.

Mixed feelings

This is one of my rare time I've decided to try writing my impressions on a movie in which I feel like I understand it but at the same time, I don't.

I wanted to watch it a while ago and I've taken some time because of diverse reasons and finally, I've watched it by curiosity. I didn't know if it was too vulgar or too violent but I finally gave it a try.

This movie is like an independant, underground (I don't know how to describe it) movie which is not for everyone's cup of tea. Despite a beautiful cinematography, the relationships were natural, acting is nice and some interesting and serious matters to discuss with... The pacing felt a bit too slow for me so it didn't really hooked me or made me want to be invested in the story.

However, it sure left me with some mixed feelings. It's not that I don't like it but I feel bit left out?? Did I regret watching this? Not really.

One of a kind

3-4 years later I finally watched this and I quite enjoy it.
Although we have to be prepared mentally because it's dark and horrible but the chemistry between the main leads compensate it somehow lol.

The story is sometimes predictable (and not really surprising), a bit confusing but still make you want to watch the next one till the end. It's indeed different from what I've seen in Thai BL (I don't include The Sign, I mean, I was saying from the date released). The acting was quite nice, I love the different settings (in North of Thailand I think?) and interesting story overall and I felt so bad for doctor Bun and her childhood friend but also for other girls..
The side character but important, Rungtiva played by the actress which I first watched her in Ngao ruk luang jai, she was so great in this.

Doctor Bun and Tan look so good together but is it just me or something off (I don't know if it's because it's a bit short and with the case, I didn't think they have times for their relationship?? or maybe I was too focused on the investigation that I even forgot it's BL LOL). However, it was satisfying especially at the end. So it worth the watch.

Nights full of goosebumps

First of all, I might not know what was Angkhan Khlumpong and haven't listen to it if it's available on youtube but the one I listen from time to time is The Ghost radio on youtube.

Well, normally I would freak out more since it's based on true story but I guess, I had some courageous feels to keep me watching this serie. I don't know if I can say this but I truly enjoyed it, for each story I was so scared and had goosebumps. It was really good, interesting plot, great acting, a really nice atmosphere but I had to agree that some scenes were so dark that I barely saw what's going on lol but overall, it was still creepy and scary, especially because of the makeup and the timing of when a scene is coming!!

I don't know which one is my favorite and or which is more scary... Maybe the fourth (nang ram with the couple which the wife is pregnant) and the fifth with the kid and the ghost (the imaginary friend).
But it was also sad because after all it's dealing with death, it's a bit deep than we thought, it's not only to scary us but to be open-minded about it.

What I also liked was the plotwist, I was easily taken aback by each story.

A food healing trip

I finally watched this movie a few years later and it was so good.

Even though it was sometimes slow paced but in my opinion, it brought some peaceful feelings and beautiful views on cities and landscapes. It was quite interesting to see two different cultures by bringing local food, not only it was mouthwatering thanks to some dishes but also moving with historical elements between 2 countries and I didn't know about it so it educated me on this part.

I think I love everything in this movie such as the performances of the actors which I didn't know nor watch them in any other movies, the story and step by step discovering / learning with the main character the background of his parents but also his mother and her family. In addition, I myself love food and it's also important to me so I related to it, I feel connected somehow that's why I give a high rating.

It was seriously such a beautiful, heartwarming, healing, moving and comforting movie.

Lastly, thanks to this movie, I want to watch more of the director Eric Khoo but also want to check other projects of other actors, especially Takumi Saitoh's.

A thrilling show but maybe too short

So this is my first time reviewing a thai TV show and on top of that, on game streaming which I don't really know about it even though I sometimes like to watch on youtube and myself already played some on my phone and on my computer.
So what I'm saying is just a personal feelings and even giving the rating was quite hard.

Honestly, I enjoyed it, it was somehow a bit new and a breath of fresh air. Watching them one by one playing their own game in 5 minutes was nice but I thought it was a bit too short and even in the first ep, I was wondering if it was just too fast to see the potential of the "streamer" and somehow during 8 eps, I felt it was also a bit repetitive. But it still entertaining because they also have team gaming and they gave them 7 minutes to play.

Nonetheless, thanks to the contestants, I discovered some games and I even downloaded two games, it was fun and entertaining. Each person have brought their style of gaming and their presence / their aura. It's a pity that some couldn't pass the next round but I guess, it was maybe scripted but also based on some of the criteria of the show and at the end of the day, it's just a tv show for entertainement and I'm sure even though they didn't pass or didn't win, it doesn't mean they are bad because there are some people who like their style.

I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of special guest even though in 8 eps it's quite short, I wanted to see other celebrities (amateur or pro gaming) and honestly, I won't tell who is the winner but I already thought it might be this person.

A worth watching serie

This is my first review so my thoughts might messed up because I have plenty of things to say about this serie but I may forgot some things in between! I'm also sorry in advance because English isn't my mother tongue but I'll do my best.

Let's begin with the story, it's quite simple/ ordinary but it's also relatable and realistic.
For the story of Uncle Jim and Wen, I think it's nice to see a bit more mature/ adult relationship, I like that they showed us some complex feelings and the development of it. It's kind of new to watch but feel more real and the chemistry is here.

I appreciate and have a soft spot when it comes to family so I was glad they show us some uncle - nephew relationship and it's not really like all the time joyful / happy unlike Gaipa and his mom. Gaipa and his mom moved me and it was also heartwarming. I feel like, despite the flaws and the quarrels between Jim and his nephew Li Ming, it has a heartwarming feeling.

A special mention about Li Ming's character which is so relatable, especially he represents the teenagers in general in middle of family problems but also his personal feelings. I also like how he thinks.
Now that I can talk about his relationship with Heart, is really, really beautiful, heartwarming, and so endearing. I think, they stole the show and thanks to them, I appreciate more the serie. The character Heart is really interesting because he can show to the audience the way some deaf people would feel. He's like, I don't know how to explain but maybe represents them? The serie kind of spotlight his character even though he's a side one. It makes me want to learn again sign language but in this case, it was a thai sign language so it was still interesting to know.

I don't know anymore what to add but I wanted to say that all the actors have brought their characters to life and it's so convincing and pleasing to watch.

The set up is kind of mesmering, beautiful and pleased to watch. especially the colors that they have chosen. It brought some nostalgic feelings. In addition to that, they sung a Teresa Teng song so it's obviously a bring back memories to some people! The second song is really also beautiful that the first time hearing it, I've got some tears

The restaurant is like home and they make me want to enter their restaurant to eat Chicken rice with them and I also appreciate the chinese culture elements in Thailand, Pattaya.

I know I've repeat myself but Moonlight chicken, despite was a mini-serie, is really a heartwarming and slice of life drama that's worth watching and it left some marks. I certainly rewatch this but mainly for Heart and Li Ming haha

I just love that in this serie, it told different stories, different characters which we can relate and everything / everyone bring like a whole hotpot that we can all enjoy.
