My heart hurt but revenge was the cure.

Honestly, the first episode was challenging for me to get through since that’s where the bulk of the violence occurs. It was primarily difficult because it made me even more upset to think what occurred to this character could ever happen to someone in real life, so much so that I almost turned it off. I think I did pause it for a short bit to recollect and was able to keep going.

Don’t let that deter you, though. I loved the strength that the young version of the lead displays. You can tell she doesn’t want to give up on herself and let her enemies win. The adult version of the lead is just as bada** as the younger version except more calculated and confident. I’m very impressed with the character development of the lead and the actresses chosen for this role.

When you’re introduced to the bullies I immediately hated them…which you’re supposed to. There were no redeeming qualities, and honestly, they found the perfect actresses and actors to deliver menacing smiles and soulless stares. I genuinely don’t know how they got through these roles.

The story itself is very compelling and interesting. It kept my focus so much I binged the entire season in a day. I’m genuinely looking forward to part two of this series and seeing how the lead's plan unfolds. OH, and I’m looking forward to seeing the dark side of her love interest. I’m sure it’s going to be interesting!
